Hunter Norton - Short Analysis/Notes

Wolframite’s arm is made of pyrite aka Fool’s Gold. Hunter Norton’s name is “Fool’s Gold”

Lily’s essence where Fluorite and the others are affected by “phosphorescent illness” which “gradually erodes the skin” and causes them to “yearn for captivity”. We see in Fluorite’s design notes that this “phosphorescence” caused people’s skin to begin transforming into different ores. Hunter Norton is also made of rocks/minerals.

According to the short backstory given to Hunter Norton so far, it re-emphasizes his fear of the dark and being back in the “bottomless mine that he had always wanted to escape from”. So he stays in the light. This can tie to how in Lily’s essence, in her design notes and in her essence trailer, we see how being in the moonlight starts to cure/heal the “phosphorescence illness” from Lily aka her ore/mineral parts. If being in the light helps, that could relate to why Norton is avoiding the darkness, and especially the mine itself.

On Hunter Norton’s hip is what appears to be an Oil-Wick Cap Lamp or Tea Pot lamp. These were 1st used in Scotland around 1850, with a hook on the back and a spout where the fat and oil for fuel were pulled from and lit. Miners typically used the cheapest fuel they could find. A drip ring could be added to catch any oil falling from the wick. Compared to candles, the light was brighter, lasted longer, and was easier to carry, but the flame was smokier. The open flame could also ignite flammable gases in mines and causing explosions. The threat of explosions led to the invention of the safety lamp for use in potentially combustible mines and the invention of the carbide lamp which replaced the oil-wick lamps by the 1920s. (Main difference is Oil-wick lamps were hung from their hats while Hunter Norton has it on his hip hanging from a chain.)

Saki-san and Kuji still have a place in my heart, but unlike Saki-san who's more on the cute puppy side and Kuji boy who's more mature and intellectual (Am I saying Youji is an idiot? ABSOLUTELY) kind of sexc, Youji was just... Suno Natsuko doesn't even need to make him say anything to make you curse god for making Suzu his favorite and not you.

I've been unmotivated these past few months, but Fluorite Star lit a fire in me. It was just so funny and sexy and so sweet at the same time! A well-deserved break from Minori and Smoke Blue indeed. Not sure if I'm still alive when howdy posts this, but there's a 100% chance you'll see this posted first before White Liar and Smoke Blue lmaooo (edit: she's right). Speaking of sequels, you guessed it! Fluorite Star will have a sequel, Infinite Star! It will be about a different couple, but I'm not revealing who they are. Tho I mean you can check sensei's twt. I'm already so obsessed that I won't shut up about it. Sorry, Lucy.

God's Favorite AU - Combustion

Pt. 1

It all happened so fast.

As Fiero lunged at them with the knife once again, CC maneuvered a vine and then… then there was blood.

Fiero gasped, eyes wide as they coughed blood, crimson everywhere.

They watched as their eyes slowly lost their light, going from their lively green to a lifeless dull color, the vine had clearly pierced their heart.

Laughter resonated in the space however as they took a step towards them. Vine still in their body, before it went up in flames, as green and bright as fluorite, leaving a bloody, burnt hole in its place.

The two of them watched in horror as Illusion readied their gun, but they hesitated.

That's when Fiero went forward in a quick almost inhuman motion. 

Their movements were just wrong.

They were smiling but their head was just hanging from their body, limbs limp, except for the hand that held their weapon… almost like a broken marionette.

CC shouted at them to shoot as they sent more vines their way. 

Fiero didn't even attempt to dodge them, however, letting them pierce their flesh more and more in bloody succession.

With each strike they got closer and their body more mangled.

But they kept laughing.

CC shouted at Illusion again, snapping them out of their own mind.

Those eyes… Was this truly their Fiero they were facing?

Against their own broken heart, they shot at them, point blank on the head.

It lurched backwards with the blow, blood spraying out from the other side.

Splattering the wall and floor, painting it a rich burgundy color.

Their head stayed limp, hanging in a manner that made it clear they were dead.

Before it went forward with a sudden movement.

Something wasn't right.

They had to get out of there and fast.

CC sent more vines their way, piercing their neck and limbs, breaking bones and burnt flesh.

It was a horrible sight to witness.

They'd have to get to the door, but they'd have to pass through Fiero first.

The vines ignited in that green inferno once again.

Something they weren't sure they were even capable of.

The smell of burnt flesh permeated the air as Fiero emerged from the flames once again.

They were broken, something definitely inhuman.

They shouldn't be able to move, and yet…

They took another step forward, head twisting to one side with a sickening crack.

Blood dripped down their forehead as they spoke in a mangled, twisted voice that sent shivers down their spines. 

"I don't need the two of you anymore… So how about we have some fun?" 

It hurt, it really hurt.

After they had given them their trust.

They had thought they were getting better, together.

But something was still amiss.

It was Fiero's voice, but those eyes… those movements…

As CC cried at them to snap out of it, Illusion took a step forward.

"You are not Fiero, are you?" They asked with a voice as cold as ice. "What have you done to them?"

Laughter.

"Oh, you foolish clown, can't you even recognize the one you stole from me?"

"Who… what are you?" Demanded CC.

But Fiero… no, the thing in front of them only laughed and took another step towards them.

"Stop!" CC commanded, more vines rising from behind them. 

They might not hurt it, but they would buy them some time.

Another step and the vines launched forward piercing the already marred body.

One of them began snaking its way to its hand, constricting it with such force that it forced it to drop the knife with a loud clank.

They were filled with questions, but as they saw a green spark start CC shouted at Illusion to run, grabbing them by the hand and getting out of there.

As the body was freed by the fire it slowly stumbled towards the door, one hand in the frame as la Muerte watched the two of them make a turn towards an alleyway. 

They chuckled, this wasn't over…

I found out aquamarine steves exit in RR (Ruined reality) so I decided to change my aquamarine steves to TinyBlue Quartz Steves, decided to doodle my guy

Charoites are powerful in aura, usually they're calm and collect yet some can be be easily annoyed lmao - the flames and the string, they're not a life source, just a decoration they either can light it or not.

-the flames in their hands or magic, is to power an individual with a 3-6 block range, unless they just use more power. basically they can go way further if they're training their powers to a bigger range- like a randoms sphene at some point. -typically in robes, they still have normal steve attire when they form from excess energy. And they have lighter purple streaks in their hair. - some act as if they have authority over some steves, because they have the kind of power to empower someone like fluorite for example!

Not A Good Luck Charm, A 'Dear God I'm Fucked' Charm

so I'm royally fucked. I'm a teacher training to be certified for a new grade level, and this week is my 'special education' and 'bilingual' qualification exam and oooooh body am I not ready. Not the 'i didnt study and now i feel bad' not ready, i mean the 'consecutive nightmare and all nighters out of sheer terror of how badly i'm gonna do' not ready. Now usually for testing anxiety i'd call upon one of the education based saints, but given my lack of preparedness and mental instability regarding these tests, I have offically crossed into lost causes territory, so I figured Jude might be willing to give me a hand. So, here it is, my good luck charm for walking into royally fucked situations. things you'll need:

A candle. A saint Jude candle would be best, but if you're like me and don't have one, a green one will do. Or white, I don't think Jude will mind that much! On top of the color association with Jude, green is the color of luck, and I need some luck right now

A piece of fluorite small enough to fit in your pocket. Fluorite is tied to mental clarity, to see through the panic, a shift in perspective, to help you see the big picture, and habit breaking, to prevent this disaster from happening again

Frankincense/myrrh incense (optional). While not necessary, I find burning f/m helps me connect to the Saints and ground me during my practice

Something to remind you of Mary. Could be a candle, or a prayer card, or even a picture in your mind's eye.

Prayer beads/rosary/something to ground you in prayer

Now that we have our tools, we'll be saying this prayer. Ideally, it would be said as a novena leading to the unfortunate event. I didn't do this, because I'm a mess. Now, light your incense. Breath deep, and get into the headspace to pray. Light Jude's candle and place the fluorite beside it to soak up its light. Taking your prayer beads, we start by looking to Mary

"Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death"

Repeat as often as you feel so called. Then, we begin our prayer to Jude. A note-- I do not often pray to God or Jesus, instead praying to the Universe, Spirits, or Firmament. Feel free to alter the prayer to fit your craft.

"May the blessings of the world and the kindness of the Universe’s Spirit be present here

Most holy friend, St. Jude, faithful servant of the world, as the patron of difficult cases, desperate times, and of things almost desired, guide me, as I find my soul filled with torment.

Grant to me safety and security in my time of need. Come to my assistance that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in [petition] Help me to lessen this heavy burden, O Blessed St. Jude, and I promise to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by the Spirits above, and to always honor you, my patron [insert your patron saint], the angels of the Firmament, and my most holy Mother."

As you say this, pour your prayer and energy into the crystal. Picture handing it to Jude, who holds it in turn to his heart and returns it. I passed it over the candle a few times, careful of the flame, to really 'cement' things. Now, I picture sealing my prayer into the crystal as I say this:

"May the Most Blessed Heart of Mary be adored, and loved in all the Firmament. May the most Beautiful Heart of Mary be adored, and loved in all the Universe.

St. Jude pray for us and hear our prayers.

Blessed be the sacred Firmament. Blessed be the Immaculate Heart of Mary Blessed be St. Jude Thaddeus, in all the world.

Amen."

And finish with three 'Hail Mary's! Keep the crystal with your as you move to do your impossible task, and charge it with prayer. Good luck!

REPRESENTING THE ELEMENTS WITH CRYSTALS

Generally when people think of crystals they associate them with the element Earth. This isn't incorrect by any means as crystals come straight from Mother Earth, and, therefore, they have a strong Earthly connection, but this isn't the only way to think about crystals. In fact, many crystals are born of Fire, Air, and Water, depending on how the crystal was formed. If you are looking at a new way to represent the elements on your altar, especially if you can't have candles or incense or don't have a lot of space, crystals are a great, smoke-free, flame-free, inconspicuous way to represent all the elements. Some of these crystals are harder to find than others, so I have made sure to list easy to find alternatives as well. Remember, if a crystal speaks Water to you, but I have it listed under Air, go with your gut. Your associations and correspondences are more important and will make your altar and magic more personal and therefore strong.

Earth

Earth represents grounding, stability, protection, prosperity, strength, and success. Really any crystal can be used to represent Earth, but if you are looking for specifics feel free to use any of the crystals below.

Zeolite crystals is crystallized sea water and lava. When it forms it combines lava (Fire and Earth) with sea water (Water) and ash (Air) to form a beautiful crystal. Zeolites include Apophyllite, Scolecite, and Heulandite. If you are limited on space, try using quartz or zeolite to represent the elements.
