I feel like I'm the only person that can go to a gem fair and walk out with an antique doll. haha (I'll post a picture of it later)
I only got one rock this time, but it is something I've been wanting for a while.
Yooperlite (or more like syenite with fluorescent sodalite since yooperlite is actually a trademarked name) isn't anything fancy to look at in regular light. Mine is carved like a dragon head, though, so it's still neat looking.
Tumblr media
The best part about it is that it looks like pure magic if you shine a uv light on it.

It's beautiful.

✨Yooperlite✨ “Fluorescent Syenite” - Syenite is an intrusive igneous rock that forms when molten lava is cooled under earths surface. It’s general composition is similar to granite, however it also has a variety of sodalite that is uv reactive, which gives off an amazing orange color!👀 Oddly enough, syenite and sodalite are usually not fluorescent. However, it’s believed this specimen comes from Ontario, eventually being transported to Michigan 10,000 years ago by glaciers. You can find Yooperlite on the beaches of Lake Algonquin and Lake Superior! However, if you are lucky enough to spot some, be sparing, as once this source runs out there is no telling when more will be found⭐️🌱 shop here 🌼

Sodalite
Sodium aluminium silicate chloride.
Named in 1811 after its high sodium content. Sodalite forms in igneous rock with rare crystals found on Mount Vesuvius and uncommon transparent specimens found on Mont St.-Hillaire.
Usually blue in color sodalite can also be grey, pink or colourless. Occassionally sodalite will fluoresce orange under ultraviolet light.

Yooperlite is a type of rock that was named after the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, USA, where it was originally found. It has now been found on the shores of all of the Great Lakes. Yooperlite is a syenite mineral that contains fluorescent sodalite. From a metaphysical standpoint, yooperlite is believed to have a number of healing properties that can benefit the mind, body, and spirit. Here are some of the commonly attributed healing properties of yooperlite:
1. Enhancing intuition and psychic abilities: Yooperlite is said to enhance intuition and psychic abilities, allowing individuals to connect more deeply with their inner selves and the spiritual realm.
2. Promoting emotional balance: Yooperlite is believed to promote emotional balance by helping individuals to release negative emotions and cultivate a sense of inner peace and harmony.
3. Stimulating creativity and inspiration: Yooperlite is said to stimulate creativity and inspiration, helping individuals to tap into their creative potential and come up with new ideas and solutions.
4. Increasing energy and vitality: Yooperlite is believed to increase energy and vitality, helping individuals to feel more energized and motivated throughout the day.
5. Improving mental clarity and focus: Yooperlite is said to improve mental clarity and focus, helping individuals to stay focused and productive throughout the day.
What makes Yooperlites unique is that they contain fluorescent sodalite minerals that emit a bright orange or yellow glow under long-wave UV light (also known as black light). This glow is caused by the activation of the trace element, Hackmanite (a sulfur-rich variety of sodalite), within the crystal structure of the sodalite mineral. When the sodalite-containing syenite is exposed to sunlight, the sulfur ions in the mineral absorb energy and store it within their crystal structure.
Later, when the rock is placed under UV light, the energy stored within the sulfur ions is released, causing the sodalite to emit the bright orange or yellow glow that is characteristic of Yooperlites. This unique phenomenon has made Yooperlites popular among rockhounds and collectors, and they have become a sought-after souvenir from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

A Brief Introduction of Sodalite
The main identification features of sodalite: dark blue, polycrystalline structure, low RI1.48, low SG2.28 floating in a heavy liquid of 2.65, turning red under the Charles color filter, magnifying and observing the distribution of visible white matter in it. The color is closer to that of lapis lazuli. The main distinguishing point is that lapis lazuli is a variety of mineral combinations, with pyrite particles and calcite distributed in star dots or lumps. Sodalite is a kind of feldspar minerals. It is a chloride-containing sodium aluminosilicate. Sodalite is similar in color to lapis lazuli, and it is also called “Canadian lapis lazuli”or “bluestone”commercially.
Introduction of sodalite
Sodalite is a kind of feldspar minerals. It is a chloride-containing sodium aluminosilicate. Sodalite includes hydroxyl sodalite, tetrazite, bluesite, etc. Different types of sodalite have different colors. The shadow of tetrazite is often seen in volcanic eruptions. Its colors are gray, brown, and blue. In addition to blue, blue ashlar also has white, gray, green, etc. It is a common gem and is produced in France, Brazil, Greenland, Russia, Myanmar, Romania and North America.
Appearance characteristics of sodalite
Sodalite is usually blue, a few are white, green, red, purple or gray. Crystals are quite rare, and are mostly produced in the form of lumps, grains or nodules in nature. Generally glassy luster, on the cleavage surface, it is greasy luster. Sodalite is a silicate mineral containing sodium, aluminum and chlorine. When nitric acid is added and silver nitrate is added, white silver chloride will be precipitated. If chlorine in the composition is replaced by sulfur, sodalite (Hackmanite) is formed. Sodalite is rare in nature, and its appearance is quite similar to that of lapis lazuli (Lazurite). Therefore, it is often used as a substitute for lapis lazuli in the gem market, but sodalite rarely contains the characteristic pyrite inclusions of lapis lazuli.
Physical Properties of Sodalite
Crystal system: equiaxed crystal system
Crystals: rhombic dodecahedron, cubic dodecahedron, octahedron
Aggregates: granular, massive, nodule
Hardness: 5.5~6
Decomposition/Fracture:{110} Decomposition: Poor to Clear; Jagged to Shell Fracture
Gloss: Glass Gloss
Color: blue, gray, white, green or red
Streaks: white or very light blue
Specific gravity: 2.14~2.30g/cm3
Others:(1) Under ultraviolet radiation, orange or orange-red fluorescence is often produced
(2) with brittleness
(3) Translucent to opaque
(4) When heated and melted, it will foam and become colorless glass
Field production of sodalite
Sodalite is relatively rare in nature. It is mainly produced in alkaline rocks rich in sodium and poor in silicon, such as nepheline syenite, trachyte and xanyan and other igneous rocks or contact metamorphic silicite, often with nepheline, leucite, feldspar, zircon and other minerals symbiosis.
Maine in the United States and Ontario in Canada produce high-quality blue sodalite. In addition, the Ural Mountains in Russia, the Vesuvius Mountains in Italy, Norway, Germany and Bolivia all produce sodalite. A bright blue almost transparent sodalite was found in Southwest Africa.
Important Origin of Sodalite
(1) Litchfield and West Gardiner in Maine in the United States, Red Hill in New Hampshire, Salem in Massachusetts, Magnet Cove in Arkansas, Cripple Creek in Colorado and other places

An instance of In your area Advanced Cancer of the breast Efficiently Addressed with Epirubicin/Bleomycin
At 24 as well as Twenty four l, mobile number-relevant guidelines had been decided. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) action as well as nutrient deposition have been measured with times Eight, 12, 16 along with evening 25 involving tradition, correspondingly. Results SEM as well as fluorescence images uncovered a quicker dispersing and also greater number of adherent cellular material soon after Twenty-four incubation about zirconia weighed against titanium. Additionally, the cellular metabolism exercise soon after 24 h and the growth charge right after 48 they would is actually larger using zirconia compared with titanium. Zirconia had a much more distinct influence in comparison with titanium on the distinction involving SAOS-2 tissue: ALP task, an early differentiation sign elevated before and also mineralization, a new delayed distinction marker had been greater. Only modest variations were found between zirconia with two diverse floor topographies; etching zirconia advertised a little more difference regarding SAOS-2 tissue. Conclusions These files suggest in which zirconia mediates the distinct more powerful influence on the particular bond, spreading along with distinction weighed against titanium; and that topographical variances involving zirconia have modest effects in osteoblast chemistry. To cite this short article:Hempel U, Hefti T, Kalbacova Meters, Wolf-Brandstetter D, Dieter R, Schlottig F ree p. Response of osteoblast-like SAOS-2 cellular material in order to zirconia ceramics with various floor topographies.Clin. Mouth Impl. Res. 21 years of age, 2010; 174-181.doi: 15.1111/j.1600-0501.09.01797.times.Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs), that have the chance of gas splitting up, were chosen while chemicals in mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs). ZIF-8, which exhibits your sodalite topology, comprises zinc (Two) ion groups connected through imidazolate ligands. Your ZIF-8 pore aperture is Several.4 angstrom and can commonly absorb small elements such as They would(2) and also Corp(Only two). ZIF-8/Matrimid (R) MMMs were designed using loadings up to 80% (w/w), that happen to be much higher as opposed to common loadings reached with pick zeolite resources. Only at the very best filling did the ZIF-8/Matrimid (R) MMM show a loss of revenue associated with physical durability, leading to home loan business freedom. The actual ZIF-8/Matrimid (R) MMMs leaks in the structure qualities were examined pertaining to (2), Denver colorado(2), E(Only two), D(A couple of), CH(4), C(Three or more)(8-10), and also gas mixes associated with (Only two)/CO(Two) along with Denver colorado #Link# (Only two)/CH(Four). Your permeability ideals improved as the ZIF-8 loading improved in order to 40% (w/w). Nonetheless, with larger loadings of 50% and 60% (w/w), the permeability reduced for many gas #Link# , along with the selectivities improved in conjuction with the affect with the ZIF-8 component. The perfect selectivities of gas pairs that contains tiny gas, including (2)/O(A couple of), (A couple of)/CO(A couple of), They would(Only two)/CH(4), CO(A couple of #Link# )/CH(Several), Corp(A couple of)/C(Three or more)They would(8-10), along with L(2)/C(Three)(8-10), demonstrated enhancement together with the 50% (w/w) ZIF-8 filling, displaying the cross over from the polymer-driven to some ZIF-8-controlled gasoline carry course of action. On top of things studies making use of as-synthesized ZIF-8 with stuffed tiny holes, there was no move from 50% (w/w) loading.
