If any of you fellow europeans have any backbone, you'll not watch Eurovision this weekend. If you have tickets, don't go to the show. I'm hoping the other countries refuse to perform, so they won't have a show to broadcast. Let eden and her sad little delegation perform her sad little act in front of an empty stadium.
The fact that Joost got disqualified yet we still don't fully know what the hell happened yet is super sketchy...
Also the fact that one of the most (if not the most) beloved songs this year got disqualified is a really, really bad move on EBU's part...
Everyone better be prepared for tonight...
it's ridiculously stupid they've already lost about 90% of dutch viewers with this move and I'm sure they'll lose many international viewers as well because Europapa was so popular. This whole scandal is so ridiculously hypocritical and it looks and feels like a total setup. It feels entirely manufactured both to turn our eyes away from the cruelty in Rafah and to boost Israel in the final results.
They won't tell us the full story because they know it's unfair and hypocritical, Joost does not deserve any of this and I am so so saddened to see him turned into a scapegoat at the event that he's worked towards for years and years.
I love them sm cuz they're look so cool, their song are amazing and handsomee!! Mostly my fav is europapa by Joost is made me become addiction are playing in my mind😫😫😫
And also the art inspiration from @flowery-laser-blasts is look so pretty amazing and gorgouss :DD <333
As much as most of us (I assume) found Joker Out through Eurovision last year and maybe are big fans of the contest (me included), please consider boycotting Eurovision this year!
Palestinians and allies have called for the disqualification of Israel but the EBU has refused. Now Israel is participating with a song that used to be called "October Rain" (the title has been changed) that is very clearly referencing October 7th.
Russia was (rightfully) disqualified for opening fire on Ukraine. Israel is allowed to continue, despite the year-long occupation and murdering thousands of Palestinians in the last half year alone.
Boycotting means not watching, not streaming the shows, not creating or interacting with any Eurovision content. You will miss out on a glittery night of music and it will suck, but it will help path the way to a free Palestine! 🍉
Read the BDS Movements statement from March 2nd 2024 here.
Their first mistake was allowing Itsnotreal to compete, and then banning Joost Klein who did nothing wrong?? I can't see Eurovision recovering from this ever.
The attempt to market Eurovision as non-political as if an event where the winner hosts and gets to market their country however they please the following year could ever be non-political is honestly laughable. I've watched Eurovision every year since 2016 and as an American some of those years required a lot of work to find ways to watch and I'm boycotting. Fuck Israel and the ebu
it’s so so funny how EBU (aka moroccan oil and the other biggy big Israeli sponsors) disqualified Joost cus he was too unpredictable and too likely to win (aka surpass the public votes they paid for) and the ‘why not?’ just to literally do him the biggest favor ever, not even winning eurovision would’ve given him such publicity lmao, Europapa is #25 worldwide on spotify with ~2,5% Dutch listeners. and it’s in Dutch, not even an English song. he surpassed Duncan by far. had he won, noone in the US would’ve heard/ cared, but his unjoost (ha) disqualification, THE FIRST EVER at this stage in the history of ESC made international news. funny how they tried so hard, adding cheers and all over booings, paying people for votes, censoring Ireland’s forehead cus they had ‘ceasefire’ WRITTEN IN ANCIENT OGHAM, and all in order to boost Joost (ha). nice one zion.
