FT.Foxy’s Mind-scape (TSBS Theory)

So, mind-scapes in TSBS are represented as memories, safe places, and often reflects personality.

Take C.B and her personalities as an example;

Circus Baby in a worn-out castle with moss, vines and flowers in the walls. The interior decorated by party tables and balloons. Like a comfort place that she could relax in.

Scrappy in a retro apartment with anime posters, gaming consoles, LED lights and a city view with no other people. Scrappy enjoys retro things and hates people so this is also fitting.

Sugar in a daycare place, which is what you’d expect from a toddler/young kid.

There’s loads of other examples but I’ll leave it there, since I think I got my point across.

But Funtime Foxy? A waiting room. A dull, empty waiting room. The walls are brown, the lights are dim,there’s an office thing ,there’s one of those lines where there’s ribbon thingies (idk what to call it) and you have to take a tab and wait. ‘Wait to access his thoughts’ as FT.Foxy himself put it. Weird, huh? Now you might say “oh his thoughts were just loading they couldn’t get to them yet” and you’d be right, but why is it so bland?

(Edit: there’s also a clock with like ten hands pointing in different directions so you can’t tell the time. It pointing EVERYWHERE. Im gonna say that symbolises his thoughts being everywhere all the time. Not getting a break as his life goes on and all questions asked just get ignored, running out of time to figure out what’s going on. And I know the show doesn’t make the maps, but it’s weird that they chose something like.. that..)

The only thing not in the orange-yellowish colour pattern apart form the shades was a blue glowing cube, and when GR.Chica went close to it, Ft.Foxy started glitching out and telling her to stop, which she does. I had an idea that maybe the ‘waiting room’ was actually a memory, the one he remembers most clearly, and that blue cube activates the memory (it’s far fetched but, hey, it’s an idea).

Now, the real question, what does a waiting room symbolise? Maybe waiting for an answer? A solution? A way to stop thinking about everything? There’s lots of things it could symbolise, really. But I wanna go back on the memory thing.

This whole thing is really far fetched, and if it’s not canon(which is most likely won’t be), I’ll make an AU so just bear with me here.

You usually see waiting rooms in places like hospitals, and FT.Foxy has been in a lot of situations where hospitals are most definitely needed. The orange-yellow colour scale also makes me think of something he knows quite well. Fire. Yk, the whole thing where his brother tried to kill him in his sleep, they ran around the house, knocked over candles, the house caught on fire and FT.Foxy had to drag his brother out the house because his brother, aka Fexy, said that “if I can’t have it id rather die”, referring to the body they once shared.

If that doesn’t scream ‘trauma’ I don’t know what does. Not the type of thing you’d drop after it happened and stop thinking about it, right? No, it’s not. And obviously, if his parents had ANY common sense whatsoever (which I’m starting to doubt at this point) they’d take FT.Foxy and Fexy to a hospital. Fexy would probably be a bit more burnt than FT.Foxy because he probably stood next to the fire for a while until dragged to safety (once again, just an assumption) so he might’ve had to stay in hospital for a-bit longer.

Imagine waiting on that bench. Imagine sitting next to your parents on that bench. Imagine smelling that hospital like smell of sickness and old people. Imagine hearing children talking, people crying, feet tapping on the metallic floor, front desk bells ringing from impatient guests and the noise of that clock ticking over, and over, and over again.

Imagine being left alone with nothing but your thoughts. What would you think? Would you think of what happened? Would you think of what other people thought? Would you think about how close you were to dying? Would you think about your brother? The brother that would’ve died if you ran out and didn’t look back. He didn’t want to be saved. He wanted to stay there. He wanted to throw away everything. And he didn’t want you to look back. But you did, and now you’re waiting for him on a bench next to your parents, smelling sickness and old people, hearing children talking, people crying, feet tapping, bells ringing and the clock. Ticking over, and over, and over again.

Kinda sad, right? Kinda scary? The suspense? Thanks, I worked hard on it. Anyway, my theory is that his mind scape is more of a memory type place than personality inspired. But take this whole thing with a grain of salt and a drop of seawater because, after all, it’s just a theory…
