I was having a bit of a creative block, so I decided to rewatch a few episodes of Code Lyoko out of boredom.

So a little bit about me, but Jeremie/Aelita was probably my first otp (either this or Ulrich/Yumi from the same show), back before I knew about the concept of fandoms.

As for the last two works, those were doodles I did while watching Code Lyoko and it was just going to involve Gaige and Angel with Jeremie and Aelita, but I added Maya and Krieg because I remember in the prequel episode, Aelita was originally named Maya and I thought it would be funny if Aelita/Maya meets Maya the Siren from Borderlands and... yeah.......

(it's supposed to be like "girls hanging out while their boyfriend's (along with Angel's girlfriend) do something)

“May I have this dance, m’lady?” Gaige asked, hand lifted with its palm up in an open invitation, a gesture that came right after some sort of attempt at bowing. “Or should I wait till your wedding-planner duties give you a break?”

Angel bursted into laughter shortly after, for reasons they both knew very well.

“As if you needed to use neat manners to ask me that.” Because a ‘hey, wanna dance?’ would have done the trick just as well. “Or they weren’t our wedding planner duties.” A break was actually what Gaige was asking for, and honestly… would it be a better moment than that in the current day, right after a sound testing and when the music was still on?

Needless to say, she took Gaige’s hand, and just a moment later they were already spinning and laughing.

“You think they’re gonna like all this?” Angel asked a couple of minutes later, trying her best not to short-circuit when Gaige wrapped an arm around her waist. She wasn’t nervous, though, at least not due to having doubts about the result; her objective was, again, just finding something to focus on before starting to blush like crazy and/or becoming a babbling mess. It had worked before, so…

“Think? Please, I bet they’re gonna.”

Gaige Discovers Angel’s Saviour

Gaige's face lost colour and appeared even paler under the crimson light. She slowly stepped towards the far wall, glancing at Angel as though confirming what she was seeing was not an illusion.

Gaige plucked the photo that best captured Angel and Lawrence. He was smiling and holding up a dead baby Rak, and Angel was beaming next to him, sniper slung over her shoulder. They'd set the camera timer on the gorge and captured Angel's first Rak kill.

The few people Angel had shared her story with did not ask what Lawrence looked like; they'd all assumed he was just an average guy wearing a digi-cloaking device to deceive any onlookers. No one knew about Jack's other doppelganger project.

No one asked, and so Angel never told them. 

No one knew that her saviour looked permanently like Handsome Jack. That there was no disguise he could take off. 

"I thought…" Gaige's voice almost trembled. "He had a watch, you know? To look like him."

"Why didn't you tell me this? "

"That I had a camera?" Angel said and shrugged. "Or that he looked like Jack?"
