I love that Hyde and Gala wore matching colors to Lua and Baileys' wedding. From the black and red and also just the gold accenting. It just reminds me of how Lua and Baileys were arguing about whether or purple, red, and black(?) was going to be their color scheme (I wonder if that was on purpose?) Also adored how Gala styled and parted his hair for the wedding.

coffee talk head cannons and scenarios

headcannons:

● hyde likes being held (and is the little spoon), gala is quite aware of this and hyde will kill him if he tells anyone.

● the barista has a crush on freya (because I have a crush on freya) and that's why ⚠️SPOILER⚠️ they kept slipping around her.

● gala likes having his hair played with.

scenarios:

● gala has had panic attacks before and one day the lights go out at coffee talk while lucas is there and he has a panic attack and gala helps him through it.

● ⚠️SPOILERS⚠️ the barista got really sad after freya told them about the writers residency and misses her lot after she leaves and everyone notices the shift in their mood.

● OR the barista got really sad after freya told them about the writers residency and freya comes back after she leaves coffee talk because she forgot something, realizes that they're upset and ask them whats wrong, they tell her that they're sad because they're gonna miss her and it starts an argument between them, and either they A. make up before she leaves or B. don't get a chance to apologize to each other before she leaves, they don't talk for months after she leaves and they eventually call each other and apologize.

● hyde gets drunk one night and the next day he thinks he's hungover and it turns out that he's actually sick and gala takes care of him and takes him to coffee talk this happens

barista: one green tea with ginger and honey for the vampire with an upset tummy

hyde: okay, NEVER refer to me and say the word "tummy" in the same sentence ever again.

●gala accidentally hurts hyde when he's in fury and its not like a major injury or anything but when he calms down he freaks out and hyde assures him that he's okay and that he's more worried about gala than he is himself and gala still apologizes a million times about it.

●⚠️SPOILERS⚠️ in the version with the "normal endings" (aka what happens when you get every single drink wrong) the barista ends up taking a break because they feel like a screw up, and they're tired of feeling like that, and they're tired of missing everyone. (the tired of missing people part totally isn't because i lowkey feel that way (sarcastic))

●the barista rants to Hyde about how they don’t want to confess to freya because they if she rejects them or even if they do start dating then break up they don’t Wanna make make things awkward because they love freya and they love spending time with her but it turns out that freya had come in coffee talk during this conversation and the barista didn’t notice and assures them that she wouldn’t let that happen and that she does feel the same way.

after his retirement, gala has been sleeping in a park

stray cats were his roommate

hyde hired gala as his driver to keep him inside a house

hyde got annoyed about gala befriending stray cats, and when he told gala not to bring them to the apartment, gala smirked to himself

when gala drove hyde home late at night, hyde offered gala a couch (which looks more expensive than an entire year's rent of gala's apartment) and a blanket for sleep

gala took off his shirts and tie, put a blanket under his body, wrapped himself in his jacket, and slept

the first time gala met hyde, gala took heavily drunk hyde home and hyde threw up everything on him (this is another reason he doesn't like drinking)

after gala cleaned up everything hyde bought gala a meal (he ate a lot) and went back home and when hyde casually got a pack of blood from the fridge gala had a awful flashback and threw up everything on the floor

hyde cleaned up everything and said "you owe me one" despite the fact he’s the first one who threw up everything

there was once a time hyde was heavily drunk and gala was trying to take him home and was mistaken for a nasty werewolf robbing a rich vampire

hyde thinks people are rude because gala would never do a robbery and gala said he would do that if he couldn't keep living and he was just lucky enough to have a job and keep a roof over his head

hyde doing research on how to favor his fans by watching anime and that’s the reason why he acts intimidating on tomochill and explains it to gala but gala can’t get it because werewolves have been assured they are just a bunch of brute

when they were watching a corny romcom based on a manga targeted at teen girls which the romantic interest is a popular and rude boy but turns out he's soft and lonely, gala mercilessly pointed out "lmao it's you" and hyde absolutely hated it

they both think their unnamed relationship will end (become not-so-close friends) once one of them finds something they value so much but it didn't happen

maybe-canon stuff

hyde loves wearing gold because, though silver would look good on him if he wears silver people can't stop asking if he's immune to silver

hyde knows what he's doing on tomochill, considering he wrote his posts in all lower case when he lived for centuries and should know how to write in a proper manner, even in multiple languages, and gala is just confused like "hey what's wrong with you" is peak comedy

hyde gave gala the tie pin he wore at the wedding

gala is the friend who told hyde the lie about hot hardcore werewolves BDSM (they obviously have a kind of relationship which they keep referring to each other as "someone" even in front of the other)

galahyde + kiss on the neck

It started out as just a brief, soft kiss on the neck, as innocent as one of those could get. But once he raised his head back and met Hyde’s eyes, it was clear both of them wanted more than that. And so, another followed shortly after, and then another and another.

“Not that I’m-- aw, complaining,” Hyde said after a few more, clearly pleased with how things were going. “but weren’t you the one who said Fury was due soon?” It was a saying, though, since Gala was more than sure the vampire knew the numbers almost as good as him. Or better, even.

“And weren’t you the one who said you could take me in that state as well?” Such a remark made Hyde laugh.

“I meant in a fight and you know that.”

“Sure?” That time, instead of leaving another kiss, Gala blew a raspberry over his skin, which only made his partner laugh even more; this time a giggle rather than a full-fledged laugh, though.

“Sure.” Said comment was accompanied by a muttered ‘tsk’, pretty much unserious since what followed out loud had a pretty different… approach. “Wouldn’t mind trying in other contexts, now that you mention it, though. Only if you’re up to it too, obviously.”

“Oh, I meant it seriously.” Well, not fully seriously and more in a ‘it’s a joke unless you want to for real’ kind of way, but still.

“Good.”
