So Tuesday was fun. The girls stayed home most if the day but in the evening went out to uncle Luois and Auntie Brailey's house for dinner!! My Honey Bunny took no pictures while they were there but they did bring me back some leftovers!! When I got off of work I was washing some dishes and spotted a muskrat chewing on our tomatoes!! So Alvin and I ran out there to stop it. Alvin had no idea what was going on but then caught its sent and took off after it. I was impressed, he got a treat for that after. I got things ready for the girls bed time and just waited for them to get home while doing chores. The garden harvest. Already battling assorted pests and disease. So far I’ve discovered squash beetles, hornworm caterpillars, Japanese beetles, slugs, flea beetles, tomato wilt, cucumber mildew….. the list goes on and on. I try so hard to keep to organic methods but every year I feel like it’s an uphill battle I inevitably lose. There only so much that neem oil and diatomaceous earth can do! I also looked a little closer at my garden tonight after I got my mail and basically got eaten alive by the saber tooth mosquitos that I, indeed, have 2 zucchini and one summer squash growing for now. My beans have also found their way up one of my shepherds hooks I have an oriole feeder hanging from and 2 of my cucumber plants seems to have all round, discolored fruit on it. Seriously. The grass and weeds at our place can grow anywhere!!! This little guy is growing in the #rocketmassheater heater that I just built in my #greenhouse I haven’t sealed it yet because I need it to fully dry first. So I guess between the moisture that was in the #cob and the heat from the heater, he just decided it was time to grow. So now I’m torn. Do I let him grow for a while and see what happens or do I weed him out. Well today I am having some problems in the garden. First, my squash plant is having problems. I noticed it wilting, Tried to burry the stem a bit more And it broke! Second, with the weather lately, And another year with lots of rain And lot of humidity Most of my larger leafed plants Have white spots on them! Mildew! Time to make a baking soda solution! Keep your fingers crossed! Third, my cherry tomatoe plant is taller then me

Anybody have great success growing potatoes? I have done them in the ground a few times but thought I’d true potato bags instead.
