How to Get Started Gardening (Without a Green Thumb)
How to Get Started Gardening (Without a Green Thumb)
Tomatoes on the vine If you are on the fence about starting a garden in 2021, and have watched all your neighbors jump into growing everything under the sun, then read the following guest post from Carrie Spencer of TheSpensersAdventures. The images are property of TheGardenDiaries. Gardening can seem intimidating when you’re just starting out. Fortunately, most plants are very forgiving, so you…

I am writing this as a goal. I will take Botany courses. I will work with plants all day long. I will become a Botanist.
I have no idea what or where that will lead me, but I want to learn more about plants! I want to know! I want to play with plants, I want to bee around them always. I want to always be learning about plants but do not know where to start. I want to learn about the native plants and trees of Ontario, but there is so much to learn and feel lost when starting. I want to know how to identify plants, I want to know how to preserve them and keep them in a book for ever. I want to learn how to properly illustrate plants, I want to learn everything I possible can and have no idea where to start

Soo many people were telling me this would not happen this year.. that's it's a record warm spring, the last frost date is early this year. THIS HAPPENS EVERY YEAR. Usually the last week of March to the first week of April. But we always get one last snow dump to officially screw with mother nature and kick off the spring season

Cucumbers, Peppers and Tomatoes Oh My! Grow babies grow!
Growing my plants from seeds has become much easier to start and keep going at a healthy rate since we moved last year. Our apartment is nice and sunny and maybe a little on the dry, but that has played in my favor; no mold or over watering!
I have had a couple of accidents this year: I decapitated a pepper, Snapped a tomato stem (wrapped in cheese cloth to help save/regrow) and chopped a cucumber in 1/2 also which I wrapped in cheese cloth.
I am hoping it starts to get warmer outside. Last week the temperature dropped to about 6 to 10 °C. This week it has been sitting at about 15 °C, but the wind it making it seem cooler. The sun is out today and the skies are blue. For being April we have not had too many showers to bring May flowers. As I am posting this the sun has gone away, the temperature dropped to 9 degrees °C and it started snowing...
