Season 3 - Colin and Penelope, Francesca marrying her first husband, and Benedict meeting Sophie

But I think they should merge some seasons, because there is no way Netflix will give us all 8 seasons so I think they should ...

Season 4 - Benedict and Sophie, some crumps of other ships

Season 5 - merge Eloise's season with Francesca's and Michael's

I wanted to post this on Reddit but since the community won’t let me then I’ll just have to post it here so…

I've recently seen some interesting comments (on Reddit lol) about the rest of the Bridgerton love interests and also how there is in need of better darker skinned black female representation which I wholeheartedly agree with BUT why hasn't any considered it being George's love also? Thus this fancast popped into my head of the younger Bridgerton love interests which is Leah Sava Jeffries as Lucinda "Lucy" Abernathy, and Adrian Lyles as Gareth St. Clair (obviously I'm for his brother being East Asian but I've never read the books so I don't how big the age gap is so I don't know who to properly fancast).

Bridgerton Spouses Ranked on How Prepared they Were to Join the Bridgerton Family Chaos:

1. Penelope - This girl chronicled the life of this family for a decade. She half lived in their house. She canonically spent actual brain power wondering what it would be like to be part of this family. Nothing any of these assholes can ever pull will surprised her. 10/10 on preparedness right here.

2. Kate - The Pall Mall scene is all the proof you need. She will keep up with anything they throw at her. She saw them all at their most bloodthirsty and still committed. She didn’t know them longest, but she did a lot with the time she had to get ready. 9/10

3. Simon - Known Anthony for 10 years before joining the fray. He knew how many siblings there were, many of their names, and also met Benedict pre-narrative. He didn’t know exactly how much they could be in advance, but once he knew what was what he got the lay of the land real quick and was down to kill it.

4. Michael - Had at least 4 years of full Bridgerton exposure before committing. He had time to know what he was getting in to. He’s a charming SOB and they will all feel it. He and Frannie can always bail to Scotland when overwhelmed, and when they’re with the clan he’s more than capable of navigating the chaos.

5. Gareth - Knew of the family at the very least. It takes him a bit to adjust to just how many people there are and how closely knit everyone is, and he takes time to wrap his head around how much they all like each other, but he at least knew them by Whistledown/reputation before he showed up so not utterly unprepared.

6. Lucy - Again, knows them all by reputation. Is not prepared, but does jump right in on the chaos. The woman has 9 children and names most of them after Bridgertons, that willingness to take on mayhem suggests at least 9/10 adaptability if only about a 4-5/10 for preparedness

7. Sophie - Only knew anything about the family from Whistledown and exactly 8 days of exposure before she and Benedict did a backflip in to married life in the country. Was not prepared. Was thrilled to be there.

8. Philip - Knew nothing. Like seriously and absolutely nothing. He had to think hard about if he knew how many brothers Eloise had and only knew from her letters. The clan descends and his introvert self has no internal monologue apart from Kill Bill sirens. -100000/10 preparedness. Honestly shocked he survived.

What’s your HC for Sophie and Benedict’s first time meeting Gareth and knowing his backstory. And how is their relationship

I think that Sophie meeting Gareth must have been one of the most beautiful in law scenes in the series, because it must have been like meeting the spiritual sibling they never knew they had.

And for Gareth just finding this wonderful human being that not only has been trough the same struggles as him, but also has overcome her sad past with an abusive parental figure and found happiness. This would have been the most amazing thing ever for him.

Sophie probably took one look at Gareth after hearing about everything he went trough with his step dad, and went like 'aww Baby' and proceeded to spiritually adopt him as her new little brother. Sophie probably treats Gareth the way Kate treats Gregory. With this never ending affectionate sibling care, that's halfway between an older sister and a mom.

I HC that Sophie likes to take Gareth to the commoner sides of the London market to shop for things that their overprivileged spouses would never even think about buying. Because both of them are frugal by nature. And just avid bargain shoppers. Gareth would never tell Hyacinth that their new expensive looking settee was bought at half price in the back room of Madame Delacroix. Whenever he hangs out with Sophie he does find impressive sales on household goods. And Sophie is just happy to have a little brother who likes her hobby. Because at least Gareth understands that bargain shopping is not about the money, it's about the thrill of the hunt.

I also like to HC that Sophie and Gareth have a similar sense of humor, in the sense that they can and will tease the Bridgertons for their naughty indecencies in a public setting. In the sense that these two are absolute masters at the art of double meaning innuendos. Better than Penelope even. Which sometimes leaves the Bridgertons asking themselves if Gareth did hear Michael and Francesca boning in the stables or if he was in fact referencing actual horse-riding when he asked about Francel's equestrian skills. Nobody knows, Sophie taught him too well.

The Bridgertons Favourite in-laws

Anthony- Simon, they were best friends for years and that shouldn’t be over looked.

Kate - Lucy, she reminds her of herself and she feels very protective of her

Benedict- Kate, he saw how much of a change Anthony underwent when Kate came into his life and how much happier he became. Plus they are painting buddies and she has the best tolerance for listening to him talk about art for ages.

Sophie- Daphne, the fact that she is a whole ass Duchess but treats her as an equal makes her feel even more secure in the bridgertons love for her and their lack of care about her birth. She also finds her slightly gentler than the rest of them but they still both have that same good hearted sturdiness and backbone in them. She feels a kind of kinship with Gareth as well due to the whole bastard thing and is always willing to reassure him if needed

Colin- Michael, they are said in the books to be quite similar and have the same type of disposition and so they usually get along really well. He also is fond of Lucy. He thinks they are similar. Everyone but Daphne and Gareth disagrees. Gregory just doesn’t see it.

Penelope- Eloise (that goes without saying) She is close with all of the Bridgertons having spent so much time with all of them. But she is rather fond of hyacinth as she is felicity’s best friend and they both get along well with lady Danbury. And she gets along really well with Francesca as their sense of humour is the same and they are both really sharp and observant

Daphne - Gareth, he reminds her of a younger Simon with the whole daddy issues thing and so she feels slightly protective of him. She is also happy that hyacinth found someone who truly appreciated her as she was their for hyacinths other seasons and like Anthony was slightly worried. She was also fairly fond of Penelope due to the fact she knew her so long and because she managed to get her favourite brother to stay in the country.

Simon- Anthony (they were best friends for years) But also Phillip , he admires that he has a desire to further his academic interest (in the books it’s said that Simon came first in his university for maths and that he was really smart) he also likes that they are both comfortable in silence and so he doesn’t feel under any pressure to talk or perform the usual social airs.

Eloise - Penelope (obviously) she really admires Sophie though for how hard she worked. Also Kate for her independence and self assurance.

Phillip- Simon, they really connected over the whole my dad really sucked thing and he admires how Simon didn’t let it affect his own parenting. They are also both probably the least comfortable in social settings.

Francesca- Penelope, she always noted how observant and witty she was and wanted to be like her in that sense when she was younger, she also knew there was more to her than everyone else saw (I mean she even suggested her to Michael).

Michael- Phillip , honestly he just likes his vibe. They are both a bit less used to polite society than most people having been apart from it for quite a while and he finds him chill to be around.

Gregory- Michael, listen Gregory’s a total romantic and the repressing your love for someone for years because she is married to your cousin is like an act of double love for both Fran and John and honestly I think Gregory would think Michael is a really great guy for that. He is also quite boisterous and happy as is Gregory. Kate as well but that’s obvious.

Lucy- Kate, I mean it’s canon she thinks she is an absolute queen and like totally fair.

Hyacinth- Penelope and Sophie, she views Penelope as an older sister in a way, she was there so often growing up plus with how close she was with felicity it was inevitable. (She also has the lady Danbury stamp of approval) And Sophie she finds really comforting, maybe it’s because she was her ladies maid for a brief period of time but she always feel cared for in her presence and it makes her slightly calmer

Gareth- Simon and Penelope, both have the lady Danbury stamp of approval which he is surprised to find matters to him. He sees Simon as somewhat of a role model. He let go of his issues with his father he opened himself up to the family that the bridgertons offered and was also really smart. Penelope he just thought was soooo cool because of how crafty and sneaky the whole whistledown thing was like he was mad impressed. He is also super grateful to Sophie as she was really comforting about the whole bastard situation.
