SOUTH PAW?

WARNINGS: mentions of character death (Abraham & Glenn), mentions of gore, traumatic events, mentions of amputation, begging, mentions of pregnancy (Maggie's), Negan, unedited work.
A/N: sorry for the long break, i've been so busy with a lot of things but i have a few scrap drafts i might put together and post so i'll try my best to update my queue this week.
a long night of violence is how she could describe it, a long night of tears pouring down everyone's faces as they watched a cruel man bash in two of their friends heads without even such an ounce of mercy for their poor souls in his mind.
the night felt like the eternity but as the sun had risen and the night faded it was still like a fever dream, like this wasn't all real and she was going to have to wake up soon from this nightmare.
except this was all real, Abraham and Glenn's dead bodies with their heads smashed in that was real, all of the blood splattered on y/n's face from the slinging of Negan's bat that was real.
she watched as Rick was tossed back out onto the gravel, his hands reaching to stop himself as he followed the man's forceful orders to get on all fours while he kneeled down to him.
"i'm giving you a choice Rick and this is your grand prize, what you do next will decide whether it becomes just those twos bad day or the rest of these lovely men and women sitting in front of us"
he gestured with his hands for his men to point guns at the back of their heads and y/n could feel the barrel pressed against the back of her head making her swallow harshly.
her knees started to ache from the rocks that pressed against them, the blood of a father figure had dried on her face and she could almost feel like it had been sinking into the pores of her skin.
she felt gross to have the blood on her, she felt sick each time she even looked at the dead man who was next to her, she felt sick knowing his pregnant wife was a sobbing wreck just a few feet away.
and Carl had hated to see her cry with each strike from Negan's bat that pounded into Glenn's head like he wasn't a person but yet just a piece of meat Negan used as his beating ground.
she watched as Negan had approached Carl making her heart sink as he rested his bat against his shoulder and she watched as some of the blood smeared out onto his leather.
he held out a hand to Carl who cocked his head hesitantly as he tried to ignore the gesture but Negan smiled and cleared his throat before speaking up "take my hand kid" he spoke bitterly watching as the teen finally gave in and took the man's hand.
he was stood up and Negan had waved his arm out to the side to where the boy's father rested on the ground, blood on his face, eye bags and his eyes red as his eye were still looking like they had been watering again, like they were on the brim of tears.
he pointed at the spot empty next to his father as Carl took a few steps watching as Negan stood in front of him taking a quite consideration to the gauze over his missing eye.
"you a south paw?" he asked watching as Carl looked clearly confused by a phrase he never heard before and it made Negan re-phrase his question to him, "you a lefty?" he watched as Carl shook his head while Negan pulled out a belt and un-raveled it.
he tied a belt against the boy's arm, "that hurt?" Negan remarked watching as the boy in the hat snapped back a quick 'no' before looking down at the leather tightened on his arm.
"on the ground next to Daddy and don't forget to spread your wings boy" Negan spoke as he watched Carl lay flat on the ground, his head turning in the direction to where he could see y/n and his father.
he could see the terror on his girlfriends face, the fear stuck in her eyes as her palms were flat and sinking into the same gravel the soft flesh of his cheek had now been resting against.
he could hear the crunching of Negan's boots against the rocks, and it stopped once he could see him crouch next to him thanking Simon for the pen that was given to him,
he himself was scared of what he had planned for him, what Negan had planned to do to Carl especially in front of his father and his girlfriend who had more tears pouring down her face.
he marked Carl's arm and apologized in such an sarcastic way that Carl had never even heard a human being sound so derisive in that way, even in the apocalypse.
he could hear his father start to beg as his girlfriend looked down at the ground using the back of her hand to cover up her sniffles, to cover up the rapid breathing spilling out from her.
he could see the harsh way her body rattled as she tried to manage to stay quiet in the fear that someone else would die, in fear that maybe it'd be her or even Carl that'd be next.
the word please was pouring like a continuous river in his head, the word his father kept repeating over and over as he begged Negan to show his son some mercy, to show he himself some mercy.
"don't beg me because i ain't the one doing shit" Negan spoke roughly patting Rick against the back before he gave his next order at the quite obvious traumatized man who was on all fours before him.
"Rick pick up your ax," he paused licking his chapped lips clean before continuing what he wanted Rick to do, "and cut off your son's left arm, now i know you're gonna have to process that for a second and believe me that makes sense so i'll give you a minute"
a loud gasp of air had erupted from y/n's mouth as she closed her eyes at the feeling of the barrel pressing even harder against the back of her head making her lip shake and her eyes flood.
he stood up and rubbed his hands on the denim of his pants watching as Rick's expression turn into now an even stronger pleading one, like it was just the ocean color of his eyes and the quiver of his lip giving off all the true emotion even more than his words that were spilled in such a babble of emotion.
"i am still gonna need you to do it though or all these people are going to die, then Carl dies, then the people back at your home die, and i'm gonna keep you living for a few years just so you can think about the decision you make right now"
Negan looked around at the men and women all lined up, and yet one had the courage to speak up, y/n to be exact only had the courage to speak up because it was her boyfriends life on the line.
"you d-don't have to do t-this, We understand! please we u-understand!" she looked down at her boyfriend who almost had a few tears slipping of his own as he looked at her,
as he looked at the shaking and sobbing mess this man had turned her into, he watched the sorrow tearing through her like a walker who was hungry for flesh.
he seemed to like the fear that ran though all of them, he liked the idea of watching them all tremble while they payed the price of wiping out one of his out posts because something about the pity and the terror gave him power, it gave him control.
"I'm not so sure Rick does. So i'm gonna need a clean cut right there on that line i drew out for you! now believe me this is a screwed up thing to ask, trust me i know but it's gonna have to be clean nothing messy so our doctors can fold something over."
he watched Rick tremble as he kneeled and continued to spew out his words, "we have great doctors the kid'll be fine, probably. and Rick we're in a time frame so this needs to happen now or i will crush this fella's head in myself"
"please i can take his place" Rick begged over and over as his throat felt sore and his mouth dry while his eyes ached and his head started to pound at the idea of hurting his son.
"please Negan please" Rick begged again watching as the man ran over some stubble of his beard and shook his head with a 'no' to answer Rick's pleas for it to be him instead.
"this is the only way, not making this decision is a big decision. Do you want to see everyone in front of you die? because if you don't pick up that ax you will, and you will see everything"
Rick cleared his throat as his hands remained planted in the rocks still in a pity of confusion from the whole situation, and now Negan had started to count loudly and once he got to one Rick had his ax raised while Carl was yelling at him to go through with it.
Y/n sobbed into her hands as she could hear her boyfriend cry out for his own father to cut off his arm, and when she could hear the soft chuckle of Negan and the soft gasping of Rick and not even a subtle yell or scream from Carl but yet she still buried her face.
Negan had taken the ax away from Rick's raised arm and he reached up a hand to pull Carl up from the ground, "you answer to me, you provide for me, you belong to me" and Rick nodded his head and agreed to the fact that he had now belonged to Negan and his men.
"see that look is the look i wanted to see! and man we did it, even those dead guys with the smashed in brains get a participation award for sure" he sighed as he tossed his bat over his shoulder.
"i hope for everyone's sake you understand how things work around here, things change and right about now they've changed whatever you had going for you is over, now i'll be back in a week Rick so use the truck i'll leave to gather my shit or someone else dies."
"I can't look, I can't, Carl please"
she mumbled feeling as someone in front of her had tugged on her hands softly, but she still held them against her face in fear she would see other blood being shed that she didn't want to see.
"look at me y/n, look at me"
he spoke finally being able to pull her hands away from her face once she realized that it was Carl and he had both of his arms, he furrowed his brows softly watching as she quivered and couldn't keep her eyes away from the line that he had drawn out onto his arm.
-
once he and his men had left y/n tried to stand but she could only drop back on her knees as she looked over at the dead man on the ground next to her, she gasped as her knees felt weak.
and it was Carl who lifted her up, it was Carl's arms that wrapped around her while he gave her the comfort of burying her face into the soft fabric of his flannel to shield herself from the damage and the violence that had been done to her friend.
she sobbed so hard that she could feel it shake both of their bodies, Carl stroked over her hair and watched as she shook under his grasp, she shook so hard her body started to wobble.
she couldn't speak because every time she tried to get a word out it was just a rush of tears, a rush of gasps for air, a rush of mutters that weren't even comprehensible to him or her.
her vision seemed blurry and her head was pounding so hard and her heart beat so fast she felt like she was dying, she felt like the world had been slipping away from her finger tips.
the only word that had been able to be heard was a loud gasp of 'no' as she looked at the line still on his arm, the line where Negan wanted Rick to chop off his arm, the line that now told trembling stories.
she squeezed her hand on it so tight that even the belt hadn't cut off that much circulation to his arm, she clung to his shirt as she could hear the sound of someone's shoes crunching against the gravel.
she could hear Maggie's cries and Rick who whispered something to his son who held out onto the shaking y/n, Sasha and Rosita frozen in such a terror and disbelief, Eugene still crying softly, Aaron and Michonne who were sitting in such a pity of silence.
and the two bodies around them.
y/n had slipped to her knees and Carl had let her, he let her bury her face into the ground and he rubbed her back as he tried to stop her from hyper ventilating at the shock around her but it was no use because it felt a ton of bricks were pressing against her chest.
She could feel a second hand on her back and she could tell it was Rick's by the wedding ring that she could feel through the cotton t-shirt she had been wearing,
"oh god, t-that c-could've been y-you" she sputtered out as she still felt like she could feel the specks of blood hitting her cheek with each and every strike from Negan's bat smashing into the pour mans head.
her body ached and it felt like her lungs had now finally collapsed in from the harsh beating her heart had pushed off, her bones ached from all the shaking and her cheeks were sore from the amount of tears that had been poured down them.
"i'm right here y/n, i'm right here" he had dropped to his knees and placed his hat down on the ground, he let his knees sink into the same rocks where the bodies laid.
where Maggie's tears had poured and where they knew the rest of the lives had just changed forever because they got the shit end of a deal they should've never even taken.
"Maggie" she managed to gasp out as she could feel her limp body being lifted up by not just Carl but his father, they had lifted her up so she could be taken to Maggie.
the widow's lungs gasped for air as she looked down at the ground, her knees ached and she felt sick even sicker than before, she could feel the teen reach out and place a soft but shaking hand a top of hers and to which she had finally spoken out.
"you need to go, you need to get everyone out of here Rick" Maggie spoke still sounding so brave, like she was keeping it all together when in reality she was spiraling in her mind.
spiraling at the fact her father, her sister and now her husband the father of her child had been killed in front of her, after they had begged and after they had tried their best to bargain.
"he's our family to, we'll do this together" Rick spoke watching as Maggie sniffled and the still distraught teen next to her had nodded along with the idea as her eyes filled with seeping tears.
"he's right we'll do it t-together because we're all family"

it all started when glenn caught you checking out maggie.
your eyes had been glued to her form, not just enjoying the view of her ass from behind but her figure as she made her way to help rick with the new tractor they’d salvaged. maggie had no idea that you were doing your best at lip reading every word and catching every mundane detail. you had no idea glenn was watching.
he’s returning from the showers to maggie in their tent in the yard, getting ready for bed when he breaches the subject. the man is half expecting to get some backlash on why his eyes were on the girl from woodbury in the first place but he’s wildly surprised to hear, “you too?”
apparently maggie had caught you in action herself. breath caught in your throat, you’d been letting your eyes linger a little too long on the way glenn’s hands gripped around the rake he was using to clear up the fields after a gusty rainstorm.
none of you thought that a joke from maggie about the length of your shorts would end up with your head in between her thighs.
what you thought had been playful banter turned into a threeway makeout session against the toolshed followed by you all crashing into their tent, and a quest to rid you of your panties. hands on the front and back of your legs, the couple didn’t waste any time - not with you so eager. maggie’s making fun of your blush when she maneuvers a finger around to find you revved up and ready to go, but glenn’s pants are only tightening.
the barrage of open mouthed kisses and fingers tangling in your hair almost distract you from maggie weaseling another finger inside of you.
“such a pretty girl,” glenn is whispering into your hair from behind. a hand lays claim on your tit, squeezing and doling out pleasure even as his girlfriend picks up her pace.
“gonna have to keep quiet if you wanna come, sweet girl,” maggie advises and suddenly you’re reminded of the sunny afternoon right outside the tent flap.
maggie and glenn share a look that you don’t quite recognize yet. it’s like there’s some couple’s wavelength that you’re not on that has glenn starting on his pants and maggie ridding you of your tank top.
and just like that, your mouth is encompassing glenn’s head as he hisses, “fuck.” your cheeks hollow like it’s a setting triggered by his cock, sliding further down your throat.
“such a good girl for us,” maggie proves with a thrust of her fingers. “sayin’ yes without hesitatin’. you like watchin’ us. we’re gonna love watchin’ you come.”
you can’t complain and you have no reason to. maggie’s fingers are working out a much needed massage on your most tender muscles. a third finger has you moaning around glenn, and with every noise from you, his hands find your hair, stroking and petting as you swallow around him. he’s only tensing and throbbing in your mouth even more at the filthiness of it all; maggie’s fingers stuffed up your cunt and his cock stuffed down your throat.
a gag has him shooting his hips nearly into your face. you - in turn - grind up and down on maggie’s fingers. her lips are pressing instructions to “just wait” against your skin. it’d be easier to “just wait” if she wasn’t rubbing such precise circles into your clit - motions that you didn’t even know you liked.
the new touches and sensations are overwhelming you. you’re almost happy glenn is angling impossibly down your airway because otherwise, you’d be loud enough to provide an inappropriate work environment for everyone in the fields. you only grow louder as the woman twisting her nimble fingers inside of you doesn’t relent. you’d beg if it wouldn’t be so muffled around glenn’s cock.
vibration after vibration echoes against glenn’s length anyways. when he looks down at you, base of him in hand, he thinks you have to be the sweetest boon to ever have fallen into his lap.
he’s even more impressed when his girlfriend declares that you’re “close” and he’s getting a front row seat for how you absolutely fall apart in the wake of your orgasm. your reddened face has to be cherry now. lips swollen around glenn, all you can do is whimper when the digits extracting every ounce of pleasure they can, curl and guide you through the wet, squirming release pulsing around maggie’s fingers.
glenn spilling down your throat and maggie removing her fingers give you a break from the physical overwhelm.
your mouth isn’t ready for a break just yet though. not when you’re making the executive decision to wipe whatever’s left of glenn from your lips and settle down between maggie’s pillowy thighs, shushing her “but”s when you lower her denim shorts and sage panties.
maggie’s green eyes are flickering between yours and glenn’s. glenn is no doubt sitting back, enjoying the love of his life getting eaten out just like she deserved to after a hard morning of work in the sun. you’d had him down your throat just mere minutes ago but the sight of you so furiously bent on getting his girl off has him bricking up again.
the feel of maggie’s hands in your hair is remiscent of glenn’s and each time she tugs your strands, you’re nosing deeper. you don’t care that your face is covered in maggie’s arousal by this point. you’d be in awe of the couple; glenn’s side swept hair and maggie’s delicious demeanor - and her derrière.
tongue flattened against her entrance, you lap up maggie as if her pussy were pure nectar of the gods. her heaving exhales are. it’s all the confirmation that you need that the pattern you’re drawing with your tongue lights up every pleasure receptor in her. fingers grow harsher, a tug to match every taunting lick.
before you know it, maggie’s sweet release is filling your mouth.
even maggie can’t help but let out a few choice words and some huffy praises of, “good girl” and “what a mouth.”
glenn can’t help but look at you with an open mouth because god, you look cute with your nose covered in her slick.
there’s not enough time for maggie to laugh at her boyfriend or for you to get all flustered - not if the three of you want to work a nap into your day before dinner.
you happily accept their invitation and glenn straightens out their mussed up sleeping arrangements. he finds you a pillow, passing it to you and placing one last eager kiss on your lips before pulling his girlfriend into his arms, not unlike how she grabs you next. maggie’s kissing the top of your head and you’re forgetting all about the empty bunk back in your cell, blissed out enough to relax your head against her chest and let the sounds of the cicadas chirp you to sleep.

you kiss down his stomach, basking in the way he exhales your name from underneath you. he whined, already knowing what your cruel intentions were. his hands fly to your hair to try and pull you away from him.
“no, no––” he rushes out, frantic and panting.  “i won’t be able to last if you do that.”
it’s cute how panicked he sounds, like the mere thought of him not lasting for you makes him want to cry. god, he was so pretty.
you wrapped your hands around him, feeling yourself becoming desperate to feel him on your tongue. “shh, just let me taste you.”
you’re practically drooling, this man driving you insane with his little whimpers and heavy breathing. he’s begged you to do unspeakable things to him but as he lays here, his body perched up on forearms so he could watch you easier, he looks so innocent.
“but––”
“i want you in my mouth, glenn.” you pout up at him. “so be good and let me taste you.”
you hush him letting your lips wrap around his tip. moaning immediately at the taste of him, he whines at the vibration and at the feeling of your warm mouth on him. you were so good to him always.
“please––” he huffs, reaching for you just to feel your flesh on his fingertips. part of him feels embarrassed since he is naked while you are almost fully clothed. he has never been so thankful to be able to feel the skin of your shoulders.
you slide your mouth further down his length, getting rewarded by the long string of moans he lets out at the feeling. despite your growing desire to close your eyes and relax into the feeling of him in your mouth, he looked so good underneath you. you couldn’t take your eyes off of him.
you begin to bob your head, listening to his soft please that only spur you on. even the sound of his voice turned you on. you are so, so fucked.
you looked up at him, his chest heaving and eyes squinted. you sent him a look that he easily recognized as, “you can take it, know you can.”
“fuck, i’m gonna cum.”
you go faster, making him choke on whatever he was gonna say next.
you release him only to hear the disappointed moan he let out. “go ahead, make a mess for me.”
“but i wanna last,” despite his words, his hips buck into your hand. “i wanna make it good for you.”
“wanna be good?” he nods frantically at your question. “then do what you’re told, come for me.”

Tumblr media
The past few days, after having found the Greene’s Farm, both Glenn and you had gotten pretty close. Feelings growing over the times you’ve bonded with him over random little things or through moments you’ve shared together.
If you were honest, you had fallen for him a bit. Or maybe a lot. Either way, he was everything you wished for in a partner.
You and Glenn had spent a lot of time together; so much that everyone in the group could tell how much you both liked each other. It was nice, seeing two people bonding and falling love in the middle of a damn apocalypse. That was what everyone thought. Everyone but Maggie Greene.
The way she would glare at you after you talked to Glenn made you a bit nervous. You could just tell she hates your guts for getting to Glenn first. But there was still a possibility that she could get her chance of winning him over. Not if you kept Glenn interested.
— — —
Maggie and Glenn were getting ready to go on a run to a pharmacy nearby. You had been wanting some basic necessities that you haven’t been able to get your hands on. So this was perfect. All you had to do was make a quick list of the items and give it to Glenn.
You spot them both getting the horses’ saddles on their back, tightening the straps. So you ran up to Glenn with your list, written on a cute Post-it.
“Hey, Glenn!” You shout his name, getting closer to him as he turns his attention to you. Just at the sight of you makes a smile tug at the corner of his lips. The same smile you dearly love. A smile made just for you to see.
“Hey,” he utters breathlessly, your presence taking his breath away. You smile back at him, fidgeting with the Post-it in your hands as you stare into each other's eyes. “Um, I made a short list of some items I need.”
He nods, listening to you. His full attention was on you and that only made your heart race. “So, if you don’t mind, could you get them for me?” You tilt your head, biting your bottom lip as you ask him.
You hand him the list before tucking your hands in the back pocket of your jeans. “Yeah, yeah, sure.” He scans the list, smiling down at it. “Anything for you,” he blurts out, making you let out a short laugh.
Your gaze falls to the grass, smiling as he lets out a shy chuckle. “Thanks, Glenn.” He pats the back of his head, pulling down on the cap he always wore. He just nods, grinning, his eyes staring at your beautiful face. Oh, how he wishes he could kiss you and tell you how much he loves you.
“Are you coming or not?” Maggie’s Southern voice interrupts Glenn’s thoughts and that short moment you shared. Causing you to turn around, just to find her on her horse. Her eyes were only on Glenn, not wanting to spare you a glance. Not that you wanted her to.
Sensing her jealously, you sigh and ignore her. Your gaze falls back on Glenn, who by the way, isn't aware of the tension between you and her. “Be safe out there,” you remind him, your voice laced with gentleness all while staring into his eyes.
Maggie can’t help but roll her eyes, hating the way Glenn stared into your eyes. At that moment, she really wished it was her instead of you. She ends up turning her head to look away, her brows slightly furrowed. “So?”
Her jealousy was obvious, so much that it irritated you. Can’t she get it? Glenn and you were obviously interested in each other and maybe as well made for each other. However, this didn't stop her from making moves on Glenn. Somehow, he fails to see the obvious signs Maggie gives him.
Honestly, it made you feel bad for her.
Glenn breaks his loving gaze from yours to glance up at Maggie. “Oh, right. Yeah.” He shakes his head as he folds your Post-it and carefully places it inside his bag, not wanting to lose it.
He gets on his horse looking down at you as he fixes his cap, his short dark hair peeking out a bit. “I’ll come back.” His lips form a sheepish smile, “Uh, with your necessities.” He adds on. You really loved the way he stared at you, his eyes full of admiration and love.
“I’ll see you then,” you wave at him, starting to walk backward slowly, careful not to fall. “Yeah,” he turns around, patting the horse's head as it snorts, just making Glenn jump a little. You smile at the small interaction before he begins to make his way behind an annoyed Maggie.

the last thing i need — three
warnings: twd content warnings
pairings: glenn rhee x reader
[one.] [two.] [three.]
Tumblr media
Glenn's absence weighed heavier on your shoulders than you'd anticipated. Occasionally, you'd look behind you and expect to find him there, eyes on you, only to find no one there. Every time you turned to look ended with a shake of your head and turning back to whatever was in front of you.
Perhaps the feeling was as outwardly obvious as it was strong, as Jacqui looked at you with pity in her warm brown eyes, inviting you to sit with the women.
They had taken a break from laundry to sit and chat, but you thought that picking up where they left off would keep your mind off of Glenn.
It didn't work very well.
You blamed one of Glenn's shirts that came up with stains that would never come out. Nevertheless, you tried, taking your time and being extra gentle with the piece of clothing. Even while he was away, Glenn got special treatment from you — and you hated it.
The mission the men departed on should've been calling your name. It did at first, at least for a little while, enticing you with an opportunity to escape the camp you found yourself on.
The desire to go vanished once Glenn revealed he would be going, too.
The brief conversation you had with Glenn weighed on your chest, a feeling too thick to swallow stuck in your throat.
You acted hastily then, overcome with an emotion you didn’t want to admit. Now it was just you and your thoughts, trying to come up with an alternate, much more reasonable explanation.
You told yourself you didn't try to join in on the mission because it'd be harder to separate from the group in the city filled with walkers. There was space to move here, space to slip off quietly if you were more careful than last time.
It wasn't because of the was your lips pulsed after meeting Glenn's cheek. It wasn't because of the way your heart pounded at the thought of him back in the city you barely escaped.
Solitude was familiar. Although it was never true, not with all the walkers you encountered, it was all you'd known for a while. You tried to keep up with it even now at this camp bustling with life, isolating yourself from the women just a few feet away — but the company was tempting.
And stubborn.
Andrea turned to wave you over, patting a spot near her. The rest of the women followed her lead with warm smiles that shone on the darkest parts of you, filling you with an unwilling joy.
You abandoned Glenn's shirt and accepted the invitation, although you were quiet for the most part — save for the little laughs the girls pulled out of you.
The five of you watched as the water glistened in the sunlight, exchanging stories and laughter as they confessed what they missed most about the old word.
"Speaking of things we miss... what's up with you and Glenn?" Andrea inquired with a grin and a bump to your shoulder. The rest of the women were silent but you could tell the question was on their mind, too — they just weren't as straightforward or bold to ask it.
"What?" You asked, feeling a little embarrassed at the question. There was really no reason to, but you couldn't help but feel like the tiptoeing around your own emotions was useless if suspicion of anything between you and Glenn was this high. "No, there's nothing up with us," you shook your head.
"Really? Cause I could've sworn you went into his tent the first night you got here—" Andrea spoke, earning a few gasps and small laughs from the other women.
Oh. She meant that.
Now you were really embarrassed.
You didn't have time to form an answer as a man approached — Carol's husband. His expression was humorless as he pressed for details of your conversation, pushing your group closer and closer to discomfort and defense — namely, Andrea.
You didn't blame her for it. You didn't blame her for calling out Ed's laziness and his abuse towards Carol, the news making your eyes widen and your body move in front of Carol defensively. Your hands weren't enough to stop Ed in the commotion, not as you saw how tightly he was gripping on to Carol.
No, Ed didn't stop until he was beat to a pulp by Shane.
You could hear your heart pound and feel the anxious sweat on your palms as you and the rest of the women did your best to comfort Carol, trying to focus on helping her rather than the violence you'd just witnessed.
Ed deserved it, undoubtedly, but it did not make you any less weary of Shane. Something about the man was off-putting. Something about him made you uneasy but you couldn't figure out what. No one else seemed to pick up on anything strange, so you kept quiet and kept your distance.
But one look at Ed's face told you that maybe you'd have to look out for the living more than the dead.
-
A stupid part of you waited anxiously for Glenn's return, knowing his presence would ease you even if he was unaware of your caution. It was awful, this feeling — one you'd felt before, but never quite this intense. This feeling would make you stupid if you let it — part of the reason you'd wanted to abandon ship at first hint of it.
There was no time for things like romance anymore, no matter how badly you craved it. It was about survival now.
And yet, you couldn't help but remember how you felt when Glenn's hands were on you, his lips on your neck —
You shook your head. This was no time for that.
Night was beginning to creep up and Glenn still had not returned. That feeling in your throat almost made it impossible to breathe.
The night was eerie despite the soft chatter of voices and crickets, the light of a fire illuminating faces with golden warmth. You took a plate of food and sat off by yourself, taking the opportunity to gather your thoughts. All the plans you'd previously had were in shambles. No next move you thought of felt right. Your fingers tapped on your knee nervously, teeth chewing up your lip in thought.
Maybe, if you hadn’t been alone for so long, you wouldn’t have picked up on the low groans from behind you.
You stood and pulled your knife in one swift motion, plunging the blade into the walker’s head, feeling the blood splatter on you. Another walker replaced the fallen one immediately, a small hoard in pursuit, pushing you towards the others.
The others.
“Walkers!” You called, distancing yourself from the pack just enough to turn around.
But you and your familiarity with being alone were not used to fighting with others. It had been too long since you have had to fight for anyone. Your warning was too late and there was nothing you could do but watch as a walker bit Amy.
Self-preservation is what you know, your attention snapping back to the problem ahead of you just in time. You know these movements better than anything - push them back, stab the knife into their heads, just enough to hit the brain - but the walkers don't stop coming.
All you are aware of are the screams behind you, begging for your attention as your heart lurches with the urge to help families trying to find each other in the chaos that has suddenly taken over camp.
You try to focus, try to convince yourself that helping yourself is helping them, that each walker down is one less walker able to bite and infect.
Gunshots ring out from behind you, next to you, all around you as walkers take over.
“Get to the R.V! Go!” Someone shouts over the sound of the bullets.
The crowd was at least thinning out now. Your arm was tiring from the repetitive movements, but you didn’t dare stop.
Not until there was only one walker left in front of you.
Even in the dim light of the camp, you can recognize her. Your heart feels heavy in your chest and guilt clogs your throat.
What was left of your sister dragged her body towards you, mouth ready to bite.
-
Your arm fell limp by your side. Your breath caught in your throat. A bullet hit your sister (no, not your sister) and someone screamed. Maybe it was you.
You dropped with her, stationed on your knees as you watched your sister reach for you.
Most of her was missing and the last time you saw her flashed in your mind. She’d yelled at you not to look back at her but you couldn’t help it; Now you were left with the image of her caught in the mouths of walkers, all desperate for a bite.
She’d sacrificed herself for you to continue on. To live.
And here she was now, because you couldn’t bring yourself to shoot her back then.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered.
Your face was wet. Was it blood, sweat, or tears?
-
Glenn was sure he’d hit a walker with his bullet, but your scream made him doubt himself as he ran. Rick, T-Dog, and Daryl cleared the rest of the hoard, but Glenn’s only worry now was you.
His footsteps slowed as he spotted you, cradling a body that hadn’t been alive in a while. Though the body had stopped moving now - Glenn noticed the knife you plunged into the back of its head.
Glenn called your name softly, kneeling on the ground to join you. His hand came to your shoulder and he could see the tears drip off your face and make silent splatters on the zombie in your arms.
“We can bury her,” Glenn said quietly. “We do that for the ones we love.”
You nodded and your face found Glenn’s chest, your arms letting go of your sister, cold and dead, and clinging on to the warm body next to you. Alive.
You couldn’t be more grateful.
-
The aftermath was chaos. The bodies, littered everywhere, were unnerving. The children cried and Andrea sat over her sister’s corpse all night.
You knew exactly how she felt. You made sure she knew it, too. She didn’t speak a word as you cleaned as much blood from Amy’s body as you could. Her gaze never left her sister as you cleaned her own hands.
“There,” you said. You looked back at the rest of the group watching you, some desperate to put a bullet in Amy’s brain. “You take all the time you need. Don’t let them take that from you.”
You expected the lack of response as you stood, unwavering as you stared Daryl down, watching as he shook his head and went off to keep dragging the bodies.
-
You didn’t speak when you heard footsteps follow you to the edge of the woods. You knew who it was, and what he was doing. You wished you could hate him for it.
“Let me help,” Glenn offered from behind you as you looked at your sister’s body. It laid exactly as you’d left it before, but the daylight revealed the horrific state she died in.
You accepted Glenn’s help wordlessly, taking her shoulders while he grabbed her feet.
“Had to fight Dixon to bury our people. I mean, he just wanted to burn them!” Glenn shook his head, eyes glancing up to yours.
He was too good. That was it. That was what you hated so much.
“You didn’t have to do that.”
“No, no, I did. For her. For Amy, too. And everyone else back there. We still have to have some humanity, right? Or else we’re just surviving, not... not living.”
Glenn’s words rang in your mind as the two of you carried the body through the thick Georgia heat, sweat dripping down every part of you.
Living. Not just surviving.
Your sister’s last words. Her last wish. For you to live.
You looked back up at Glenn as the two of you dropped your sister in the “Bury” pile, watching as he adjusted his cap and wiped some sweat off his brow.
Live. Not just survive.
Maybe Glenn could help you figure out what that meant.
-
Soft chatter surrounded you as you sat off to the side, knees pulled up to your chest. You sat away from the group, as you always did, keeping an eye on the people and another on the woods.
There was talk of going to the CDC. You weren't sure how well that was going to work out if the CDC looked like the rest of the world.
But there was something in the group as they spoke to each other, even after everything that had happened today. There was hope, small sparks of it glowing like the embers of a fire.
Maybe you'd let yourself have some of it, too.
"Hey," a voice spoke, pulling up a chair next to you.
"Hey." You glanced up at Glenn, watching him run a hand through his hair, his cap in his hand.
The sun glistened off his skin, making his hair shine as he turned his head to look at you. There was a trace of a smile but an even bigger hint of a question on his lips.
You knew what the question would be. But you still weren't quite sure of your answer.
"What happened in Atlanta?" You ask, hoping to buy yourself time and realizing that everything that had happened after Glenn's returned had prevented you from asking about it sooner.
"Atlanta." Glenn repeats, the place seeming so foreign to him now. "Well, we got the guns." He laughs, sounding too forced, eyes wandering over the faces that remain. You're quiet, feeling the guilt you share heavy in the air.
"But we ran into some guys."
Your eyebrows raise at this - you don't know strangers nowadays to be particularly friendly. Glenn was rare.
"And you just handed over guns?" You didn't mean to sound accusing, but you were trying to paint out what had happened.
"Well... kind of? I mean, we worked out a deal."
"What deal?"
Glenn hesitates, trying to work the story without having to mention the more embarrassing details.
"They were taking care of a whole bunch of elderly people. They were just... abandoned."
You seem to relax at this, at least slightly. "They could've just shot you and taken everything." You're only half-serious but Glenn doesn't quite catch that.
"They really wanted to. Especially Daryl, he had-"
Glenn cuts himself off but he's already piqued your curiosity as you lean forward in your seat, urging Glenn to continue.
"Well, it was a little bit of a situation," Glenn starts exasperatedly. "They had taken one of us, we took one of theirs... It just- It happened really fast!"
"They kidnapped you?"
How bad of a liar is he? Glenn stutters but his lack of a coherent response is enough to fill in the blanks for you.
Your chest hurts strangely, your fingers messing nervously with the hard surface of your nails. You've begun to avoid looking at Glenn just as he glances at you, a heavy silence that a part of you is desperate to fill, nervous it will make Glenn stand and place his chair elsewhere.
You had been saved from answering questions from others about Glenn earlier but nothing was able to halt the constant thoughts you had about him. You're not sure how much longer you can keep running from it - you're not sure how much good it'll do.
"So, the CDC?" You asked, hoping Glenn's answer would help guide you towards one of your own.
"Rick thinks it's our best shot."
"And you trust him?" There was no mockery or accusation in your voice — only genuine curiosity.
Glenn looked down at his cap, nodding a little. "Yeah. Yeah, I think I do."
"You just met him," you noted quietly, knowing very well Glenn had met both you and Rick on the same day.
"You don't need to know someone for years to know you can trust them."
You looked up to see Glenn staring at you. Clearly, he wasn't just talking about Rick.
"That type of thinking could get you killed," you say quietly.
"Or it could save my life."
Live.
Your knee bounced anxiously as you thought about it. About what going with these people would mean.
It'd mean companions, for starters. No more nights fighting to stay awake, watching your own back. It'd mean splitting supplies. It'd mean strength in numbers.
You looked at Glenn again.
It could lead to something else, too.
"I'll go with you. To the CDC," you start softly, watching from the corner of your eye as Glenn's head snapped toward you, clearly in disbelief. "It sounds promising."
You barely knew Rick. You barely knew any of these people. But Glenn trusted Rick and you trusted Glenn. That's the only thing you were sure of now.
Glenn looked at you with a boyish, handsome grin and the corners of your lips raised to mirror his.
Your hand reached for Glenn's, interlacing your fingers with his. Your hands found his over and over — throughout the night, in the morning, as you packed into Dale's R.V. and towards the CDC. As you left Jim behind. As you almost died outside of the fortified building. As you finally made it inside.
The building was large and seemed safe enough — there was no way Dr. Jenner could have made it this far if it wasn't. But it wasn't until a large table full of food and drinks was set, laughter chiming in your ears, did you finally begin to relax.
A smile spread on your own face as Carl tries wine for this first time, his face morphing into one of disgust as the rest of you laughed. This mood, light and playful, was one you haven't experienced in who knows how long. There's a thick feeling of appreciation in your throat, hot and heavy in your chest. You're almost emotional, thinking of every sacrifice it took for you to be here, today, laughing and talking over dinner again.
But Shane, always solemn, can't seem to stand the uncharacteristic liveliness that has found the group tonight.
"So, when are you going to tell us what the hell happened here, doc?" The laughter is killed instantly, an uncomfortable silence falling on the once chattering table.
'We're celebrating, Shane," Rick starts, the tension between the former best friends particularly prominent. "Don't need to do this now."
Eyes flicker between the two with an occasional flicker to the doctor in the room, but downward gazes and quiet sips of wine offered neutrality from most.
"Woah, wait a second. This is why we're here, right? This was your move... Supposed to find all the answers. Instead, we found one man. Why?"
"Well, when things got bad, a lot of people just left. Went off to be with their families. And when things got worse, when the military cordon got overrun, the rest bolted."
"Every last one?" Shane asks dryly, suspiciously.
"No, many couldn't face walking out the door. They... opted out. There was a rash of suicides." Most shuffle uncomfortably, looking at anywhere but at Jenner. "That was a bad time."
"You didn't leave," Andrea notes, one of the only ones still invested in learning about Jenner. "Why?"
"I just kept working. Hoping... to do some good."
It's a good answer for most, no matter the somber tone. It's enough for you; you just hope that Shane's poking and prodding won't push the man that has seen too much too far. The last thing you want is to be kicked out now.
"Dude, you are such a buzzkill, man." Shane avoids Glenn's stare and you cross your arms, decisively done for the night.
Jenner gives you a small tour of the facility, mainly of the rooms you'll be occupying. A piece of you wonders what else there is, but the majority of you aches for a peaceful night.
Jenner has disappeared into a different room and the group has stopped in the middle of the hallway.
"Hot water?" Glenn glances to the rest of the group before his gaze lands on you, standing behind him.
"That's what the man said," T-Dog grins.
Glenn's smile is contagious, creeping up slowly despite you missing what Jenner said. But if Glenn is excited about it, it's got to be worth it.
The hot water on your skin completely is.
You try to savor each drop of water, relishing in the steam curling off the water. You can't remember the last time you had the luxury of hot water but you resign, letting everything roll off of you along with the water.
You scrub at your skin, mindlessly and too roughly, thinking about everything that has happened in the last few days. Everything about the last few months.
Your sister was dead. The guilt in your throat wasn't any easier to swallow.
Something had happened between Rick and Glenn on their trip back to Atlanta. Glenn stuck out his neck for Rick on that very first day that your paths had all crossed, so Rick risked his own for Glenn. At least there was someone else in the group that would do that for him.
Atlanta. Nothing in that overriden city could've prepared you for the overwhelming company you now found yourself traveling with. There was no ounce of you that imagined you might find someone to love again.
You shut the water off once you're sure you've scrubbed every crevice of yourself, your skin rubbed raw in a few places.
The towels you've been given are rough, thin, and terrible shields against the cold air that blasts through the facility but you don't mind. Nothing matters other than the feeling of the fresh clothes Jenner has managed to scrounge up, missing all the dirt and blood that's stained your clothes for months.
A part of you, as you settle into the first empty room you see, wonders how long it'll be until the clothes you're wearing now will be bloodstained again.
You've taken to cleaning off your knife, in the spirit of the fresh scent of soap sticking to your skin and the pristine condition of the garments on your body. You're careful not to stain anything with the shades of red and brown of your knife, barely lifting your head when you hear someone enter the room you've claimed.
"Sorry, didn't think anyone was in here..."
Glenn trails off when he spots your smile, your hand waving him over to the spot next to you. He takes it, body tense as he tries to keep his eyes off of you.
Glenn thought you were perfect before, but without the layer of grime on you, all he wants to do is stare.
Glenn thinks he's being sneaky until your eyes meet his, Glenn's already flushed face reddening even more.
He's too terrified to make a move, still wondering where it is he stands with you. You're not lovers as far as he's aware, though it's a losing battle on his side. Glenn thinks he'd do anything to get inside your head and see for himself what it was you thought about him. He wanted you to like him, desperately, his body aching for contact with yours. He wanted to kiss you until he memorized you and every one of your smiles.
But he'd take whatever it is you wanted to give him. He'd hold your hand whenever you reached for it, on your own terms, right up until you pulled away.
The sudden arrival of man-eating freaks had forced Glenn, for the most part, to mature; to learn how to fight, to look out for others in ways his shitty job as a delivery boy had not yet taught him. From one day to the next, he had outgrown the red uniform that always seemed to smell of food no matter how many times it was washed. Though no one cared to ask about the person Glenn was Before, he liked to think he was the same Glenn who had, with his own will, made it through high school and to college, on his own.
But, in some ways, Glenn still felt immature. All that time he had spent working and studying had left him with little free time for personal indulgences. He had never prioritized romance and now that it was here, in front of him, he found himself on his ass more often than on his feet.
The door opens again and Glenn’s head whips towards it like he’s been caught doing something he shouldn’t, his flushed face not doing him any favors. But it’s just Shane, so Glenn’s shoulders relax, eyes glancing over the man and landing on the bottle of bourbon in his hand.
Shane spares a sideways glance, eyes stuck on you as he takes a swig from the nearly empty bottle. Glenn’s eyes follow Shane’s and eventually fall on you, too; notably, the knife in your lap, practically shining from how much you’d been wiping it.
"You're a real whiz with that knife.” Shane props himself against the doorframe, probably to keep from stumbling. There’s a sudden smile on his face, too wide to put you at ease. “Good thing I stopped ya from leaving that first night, huh?"
Shane grins through his words as he takes another swig, eyes still stuck on you as Glenn stands. He’s turned towards you, eyes searching for any indication that Shane is just drunk, or out of his mind; but you’re stuck, eyebrows drawn and lips set in a straight line as you stare at Shane right back.
Glenn steps into Shane’s line of sight, effectively breaking the wordless confrontation. Shane’s eyes move to him now, trying to slip past Shane wordlessly. Shane shifts, blocking Glenn’s way. But before he can speak, Glenn has shoved his way into the hallway.
"I'm just looking out for you, man!" Shane calls behind him before his lips find the top of the bottle again.
You’re in front of Shane before you can help it, eyes trying to follow Glenn. But just as he did before, Shane has turned toward you, his large build blocking any easy ways out.
"Why didn't you just kill me that night, then? I know you wanted to."
"That's not true.” There’s a grin on Shane’s face that tells you he’s lying.
"Yeah."
The look of amusement on Shane’s face drops. He has learned from last time and fights back when you try to push past him. One of his hands keeps you pinned to the doorframe, pressing painfully on your shoulder.
“You’re just another mouth to feed,” Shane drawls, his breath reeking of alcohol. “You don’t deserve a guy like Glenn.”
There was more to it, you were sure. Glenn had told you that Shane was their leader and wasn’t fond of newcomers. Especially when one wanted his wife and kid back.
You could tell Shane felt challenged by Rick despite their history. Maybe Shane thought of you as a wildcard, neither loyal to him nor Rick. But if you would stick with Glenn, who would clearly follow Rick anywhere, weren’t you a threat?
You pushed Shane’s arm forcefully, the alcohol in his bottle swishing as he stumbles.
“You should’ve killed me,” you say, smiling suddenly. “You’re not getting another chance.”
Glenn moves down the hallway briskly, his feet taking him further and further away from you. There’s that feeling in your chest again, the same one you felt with Glenn back at the camp you had abandoned. It was fear, but it wasn’t the familiar kind that you’d spent months fighting along with the walkers. This one was thicker, heavier, putting a pressure on your chest that made it difficult to breathe. Unfortunately, you had come to care about Glenn Rhee.
And as Glenn walks away, he feels as though he has, once again, found himself on his ass.

Maintaining a relationship while you were constantly on the move was difficult, but what was even more difficult was keeping up with intimacy. Most of the time Glenn and you had never had time alone to yourselves, so the majority of your relationship was put on hold. So, when you had finally settled down in the prison, you and your boyfriend were finally able to think about settling down. Like tonight, where you had snuck to the top of the tower to join Glenn on his watch shift.
It was no surprise that you had already found yourselves entranced in an intense make out session. You were pressed up against his side, his head turned into order to kiss you. Your hand that was planted on the side of his face slid down to his jaw, then his neck, his chest, and finally stopping at his belt buckle which you fiddled with.
“Can I please touch you, baby?” You whispered against his lips, pulling back slightly so that you could gaze into his eyes. “What if someone sees?” He breathed, his chest heaving. “Not trying to be mean, hun, but almost everyone is asleep, and we're really high up.” It really wasn't that hard to convince him, because before you knew it, your hands were unfastening his belt and unzipping his fly.
As you pulled his cock out, a hiss fell from his lips, the cool night air of the prison brushing against his heated skin.
“So pretty.” You murmured against his cheek, placing sweet kisses on the side of his face as you stroked him. Tiny ‘Ah, Ah’s’ fell out his mouth as you spread the bead of pre-cum on his tip, gently pressing down on it, your thumb moving in circles. He was leaned back on his hands, the both of you watching your hand that was stroking him seductively.
“That feel good?” You barely whispered, gripping his shaft, tracing a nail on that vein on the underside of his dick. “So good.” He all but whimpered, head falling back. “Good.” You let go of him, quickly spitting on your hand before resuming your menstruations, Glenn letting out a deep groan. The entire scene was erotic, from the way you watched him, to the the way his jaw clenched, his thighs slightly shaking as he neared his end. You felt him pulse in your hand, a tiny whine of satisfaction falling from you as well.
“Cum on my hand for me, Glenny baby. 'Need it. 'Need to see you do it. 'Need to see you paint my hand.” He moaned at your dirty words, fingers desperately clawing at the concrete ground, searching for something to hold onto, to keep him stable.
As his chest rose and fell, he fucked your hand through his orgasm, sweet sounds ringing from him like a sonata as you worked him through it. When he was done, you made sure he watched you lick your hand, eyes trained on him.
“I think you got a job to do, babe.” You said with a smirk on your face.

Summary: You are Maggie's teen sister. One day you ran away from Alexandria to explore. When coming face to face with Glenn you nearly shoot him, thinking he was a walker. When Glenn starts scolding you, you call him an asshole as he can't help it but comment back to it. Bickering and toying around like siblings all the way back to Alexandria where Maggie has the laugh of her life, upon seeing you and Glenn.
Tumblr media
A window slit open in the morning glow. The sudden sound sending a flock of birds flying that had been nestling on the roof for a morning rest. A backpack got send through, falling with a thud on the grass. Then a foot, up to a leg and half a posture. Grabbing onto the top of the window, you kept your balance. Sticking your other leg out to join them together. Setting your hands down you changed position. Slowly lowering yourself to decrease the fall height. Arms stretched out holding on to the railing, you let do, falling down. You landed down on the grass beside your backpack.
Gravity having pushed you down and knocked you off balance down below. Getting half up, you dragged your backpack closer to you over the grass. With one sweep it was over your shoulder. Set and ready, you took a run for it. Alexandria as quiet as ever. Everyone still fast asleep. You went towards the back avoiding being spotted by Daryl, who was sometimes an early bird too. If he saw you, he’d question where you would be going. He’d either tell your sister Maggie or decide to tag along. You liked Daryl but this was something you loved doing on your own.
Running up to the fence, you started to follow it down the line. Searching for that spot to easily get over it. There it was. You smiled in delight running up to it. All was left to do was climb over it. Seeing the garbage can nearby, you dragged it closer to the fence. Crawling on top of it, you got over the fence, landing down, sinking to your knees once over. Dusting your hands off, you started to run for it. Leaving Alexandria for what it was to explore. You kept running till you got to a clearing. Slowing down. You pulled out your knife, keeping it close for when you needed to use it.
Nearing the danger zone. The woods were a dangerous place for walkers to roam. Easily for them to sneak up on you and catch you by surprise. In the distance you spotted a walker walking mindlessly, their head slightly tilted to the side, close to their shoulder. They were far enough to not see you. Without making any sounds, you kept a close eye on them, going a different way. They got out of sight as you neared a creak. Taking a leap. Jumping over flawlessly. The sudden sound of walker’s snarling caught your attention.
Turning your head instantly out of instinct, you exhaled loud. The tension slowly leaving your stiff posture. Not far from you was a walker tangled up between some wires. Their legs dangling in the cold water. You walked over to it holding your knife out. It began to snarl louder and squirm in your presence. Wanting to have a bite as it hungered for it. Kneeling down you grabbed a hold of it’s head. Their jaw violently snapping your way. A few teeth already missing. – “I give you mercy.” – you whispered before jamming your knife deep down it’s skull.
It pierced easily through the skull as the walker went silent. Jaw hanging loose as you retracted your knife from it. The blood on it dark and smelly. Their brain must have been rotten for a while now. Getting back up, you continued your way. Finding peace in solitude. After a while you looked up. Seeing how the sky was pure blue. Not a cloud in sight. You thought back of Alexandria and how everyone must have already woken up.
Shaking your head you didn’t want to think longer about them. The trees cleared way, fewer trees standing tall as you neared a small town. Mushy leaves made way for hard streets. Cars parked carelessly around. You rounded a car leaping back when a walker thudded their head against the glass. Aware of your sudden presence. They kept bumping their head against the thick glass, hands gripping wildly before them, held back by the belt. You backed away. Walking in the middle of the road to avoid the cars.
Who knew what was hiding behind them or in them. You went over to a convenience store. The windows dusted, some broken. Nearing the broken window, you took a peek inside. Not seeing anything at first sight. Kneeling down you removed your backpack. Unzipping it to search it. Taking out a pebble, you moved your backpack over your shoulder again. Throwing the pebble through the broken window you heard it clatter against the ground. Waiting and watching carefully for any walkers. Whispering the counts till you rounded at thirty and still nothing had surprised you.
Finding it secure enough you broke the window more to crawl inside. With a thud you landed on your feet, broken glass underneath your boots. Moving your backpack to the front, you kept it open to stuff useful supplies in it. The first shelves were empty. Plundered. You went down each row looking for something useful. By the middle you found some interesting things. For some reason a wooden spoon. You bagged it, thinking Carol could find use for it. Some canned food that still looked worth consuming. Further down the back you found a dusted bunny.
Already missing an eye and a rip in the side where the filling was coming out a bit. You thought off Judy and how she would loved it. There must be some needles and thread back at Alexandria to patch it up for her. You carefully pushed some filling back into the bunny before putting it in your backpack. There was some more canned food and some dry snacks. You also took every medicine you came across. Who knew when you needed it. Going back outside you looked around the deserted town. Something about this silence making you feel small yet grand as well. You went to sit on the hood of a car, taking out a snack.
The city’s was yours. An overwhelming loneliness. Time seemingly standing still as everything around it began to dust. The glory of the town long gone. Now but a shimmer of it’s former glory. Something in the distance made you narrow your eyes. A walker dragging her feet between some cars. You set your snack aside taking out your gun. Pointing it at firm at her. Deciding whether to shoot her in the head from up here. The shot could alarm others. Sighing loud you knew you had to get up and knife her. She disappeared behind some cars out of vision as you waited for her to reappear again.
Yet she didn’t. You kept waiting finding it odd you hadn’t seen her walk by. She must have. It started to alarm you that you hadn’t seen her walk past. Grabbing your things, you jumped off the hood. Gun in the ready you went over to the car. Wanting to see for yourself what happened. Did she find someone to feed on? Did she get stuck. Trip? Got killed? A thousand alarm sirens were going off in your head. Slightly frightening you. Holding your gun out, you neared the car. Going round you expected to find her. There was no one. Till you spotted her on the ground. Blood staining the street as she’s been stabbed in the head. It meant someone was out here with you.
Having a sudden sense, you spun around ready to shoot. Glenn shot his hands up at the sight of your gun pointing at him. – “Glenn!” – you called out. – “Are you insane I could’ve killed you!” – you lowered your gun. – “What the hell are you doing here by yourself?” – he shouted back lowering his hands. – “It’s dangerous to go out on your own. What were you thinking. You could’ve blown my head off with how jumpy you are!” – He called out. – “Then don’t sneak up on people asshole!” – you replied angered that he was threating you like a little child. – “Wow.” – Glenn breathed out with half a smile.
“I’m the asshole when you’re the one who pointed a gun at me.” – he answered. You rolled with your eyes, putting your gun away. – “Hey! Did you just roll your eyes at me!” – Glenn shouted as you walked away from him. His cheeks bloated with frustration that you’d just walk away carelessly. – “Y/n!” – Glenn said coming after you. – “Maggie was worried sick.” – he called out trying to catch up with you. You blabbed some annoying words out, using your hand to show him he was nagging. Glenn came to your side blabbering mockingly at you. It made you look bothered at him. – “How mature.” – you told him. – “I’m just mimicking you.” – he teased back with a sneer.
“You want an applause for that?” – you replied sarcastically. Glenn laughed annoyingly to let you know he found you ridiculous. You slapped him annoyed against his shoulder. Glenn narrowed his glare slapping you right back. It only angered you more as you slapped him right back against his shoulder. Glenn slapped you back as well. – “I can do this all day!” – he told you. – “So can I!” – you answered giving him a slap against the back of his head.
Nothing too hard, just a playful slap. Glenn and you were making your way back to Alexandria as he moved his leg up to bump it against your bottom. It made you stumble a bit forwards. As a response you gave him a nudge. Glenn nudged you right back. You wanted to nudge him back as Glenn’s expression hardened. He grabbed you by your wrist, pulling you closer to him. You stumbled forwards, lowering your head a bit when he moved his gun over your head. Firing twice to send a walker down. – “I could’ve gotten it.” – you told him. Glenn laughed loud. – “I didn’t know you had eyes on the back of your head.”
“Didn’t you know Glenny I do.” – you had crossed your arms, throwing him a teasing smile. – “Then I suppose you see this coming.” – he spoke tapping the back of your head. – “Hey!” – you called out as he took a run for it. You started to run after him. You wanted to push him as he grabbed your hands keeping you on a distance. – “Not close enough.” – he responded pushing you away. He jogged away as you went after him.
He darted away from your attempts to push him. Like a cat and a mouse playing around. The two of you neared the gates of Alexandria still playing around. Bickering and toying around like siblings would do. Maggie was waiting at the gate’s seeing Glenn give you a little nudge. It made you stumble a bit to the side as you nudged him right back. Maggie smiling at how she saw the two of you get along. Laughing as it reminded her of when they were younger and teasing each other.

it hadn't really clicked how you felt about glenn until the well situation, how he was dangling above a walker like... bait.
how your heart got caught in your throat as you watched and heaved the rope back with the others, how the tears stung in your eyes.
how you couldn't even look him or the others after the incident. separated from the group, your tent next to daryls.
glenn of course tried to talk to you multiple times, but you brushed him off. making yourself busy in the process, going on food and medical supplies.
teaching carl how to hunt and maggie how to kill the walkers.
the moment played on your mind every waking minute.
you had been with the group since the beginning, you were actually with glenn when you had found some of the others.
andrea not taking a liking to you immediately but her sister amy did.
the both of you had gotten closer since her death.
it came back around that somebody had to go further out for supplies this time. of course he volunteered. you refused.
"you can't keep letting him put himself in danger all the time, its not fair! just because he's what 'faster'?" pushing yourself onto your feet off of the couch.
"y/n it's fine really i—" he interupted but that didn't stop you from continuing.
"it's not, this is total and utter bullshit. he's been putting his life at risk since he got he and i bet he's done it before you arrived."
they all agreed for a different plan, a safer one for the boy.
the meeting was dismissed and you made your way out of the house with your head hung low. trying not to make eye contact with anyone.
grabbing a woven basket and started your chores.
slightly moving each chicken so you could grab the eggs, standing up straighter as footsteps were heard behind you.
rolling your eyes when you came face to face with glenn.
"okay seriously dude what is your problem?" still ignoring him but listened to him talk.
"first you are ignoring me, now you're sticking up for me?"
you just walked around him, stopping when he lightly grasps your arms holding you closer to his chest, face to face.
tears welling up in your eyes as you looked into his.
"i shouldn't be feeling this way. i barely even know you! it's so stupid." your words came out wobbly as you shake your head.
glenn listened whilst he wiped away the fallen tears from your cheeks.
"i-i just can't see you get hurt, you are always the one to jump to put your life in danger and no one ever second guesses it. it's not fair damnit."
"if i knew any better you'd think you've got a littl crush on me." a blush spread across your cheeks as his shoulder playfully knocks into your own.
looking at your dirty boots knock together in response.
"w-wait really?" no you're lying!"
gathering everything you had in and placed your lips against his, feeling as he almost instantly shuts up and melts in the kiss.
"woah..."

I have a TWD request if your up for it! I just started the series again and was thinking of a Daryl or Glenn x reader where the reader was a senior microbiology student in college at the time of the outbreak and was doing an internship at the CDC. That's where she meets them and ends up joining their team when they leave
CDC - Glenn Rhee
Summary: Glenn reassuring the reader as they drive away from the CDC.
A/N: I couldn't remember everything that happens at the CDC and didn't wanna rewatch the episode/s so this just a short blurb that takes place directly after the place blows up. Also I killed Andrea to further my "Emily hates Andrea" personality trait.
The Walking Dead Masterlist
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
“I delivered pizza,” Glenn mentioned, the RV hitting a pot hole as it pulled off the curb. It rattled your whole body, shaking you left to right and knocking you against Glenn. He steadied you with an arm around your shoulders over the back of the booth seat.
The fire that was raging behind you was bright in the middle of the day and you were almost convinced that you could still feel the warmth of it inside the RV with the windows up. You could definitely hear the sound of the walkers that were attracted to the fire, moaning and dragging themselves into combustion.
“What?” You turned your head away from the window for the first time since you sat down in the booth seat of the RV and looked at Glenn.
It had been Rick that had offered you the chance to leave with them when Jenner locked all the doors. It’d seemed silly to agree to the notion of leaving when you knew the steel doors were impenetrable once they came down. But you agreed anyway because dying wasn’t on your list of things to do. And now you were here, in the RV with Dale driving and Glenn sitting next to you, following the other cars of the other survivors in the ragtag group that had broken into the CDC the night before.
More had happened in 12 hours than had happened in the last two months.
“Before, you know...dead people started roaming around.” Glenn explained, moving his arm from off your shoulder and leaning his elbows on the table. His arm was still pressed against yours in the small space.
“You delivered pizzas?” You clarified.
“Yeah. Yup.” He replied, “I know that, whatever that was, was way more important than delivering pizza, just figured...it might make you feel better?” Glenn scrunched his face up to show his confusion as he ran a hand through his hair. When he’d started talking he was sure he had an actual point to make but now he was struggling to remember what it was.
When you’d agreed to come with them he’d offered a spot in the RV right away. With Jackie and Andrea gone it seemed somehow like he’d jinxed the situation and he was trying desperately to say something to make up for the silence that lingered in the two women’s absence. You hadn’t said much in the CDC and you’d said even less since they got outside but Glenn had spent the entire dinner the night before unable to stop stealing glances at you. Not in a creepy way, he’d assured Dale when the older man inquired, he just thought you were beautiful and he hadn’t exactly been in the position to see too many attractive people lately.
“I was doing my co-op at the CDC...it’s like an internship while I was in school...I was working on my senior thesis when the outbreak happened and, didn’t know what else to do so I went to work. Which I guess was better than staying at my dorm, in hindsight, but maybe also worse cause I got stuck with Jenner.” Being away from most of civilization for even the short period of time that you had found yourself had clearly given you a knack for oversharing.
That and a cute guy was currently giving you all of his attention, which was also a bonus.
“You all seem pretty familiar with what exactly is going on out here.” You mentioned, looking back out the window as the RV continued down the freeway, back toward Atlanta. “I’ve studied some postmortem samples up close but haven’t actually seen anyone like...be undead?”
“Oh man, you should’ve seen Rick and I. A couple weeks back, I think, got stuck in the city on a run...it was gross...” Glenn launched into the harrowing story of his survival through a crowd of the very undead that you’d referenced, adding a few embellishments for the sake of keeping you interested in the story.
As he spoke you looked up toward the front of the RV, catching Dale’s eyes in the rearview mirror. He turned and smiled at you before looking back at the road ahead. In the back, T Dog was sleeping, though you were completely bewildered as to how someone could sleep after what you had just witnessed.
“If that’s what I have to look forward to,” you finally said as Glenn’s story came to an end. You had missed bits and pieces of it but could put together all you needed to know, you were far in over your head. Alive, but over your head.
“It’ll be okay,” Glenn promised. He laid a hand over yours and squeezed, the reassuring look back on his face again, “we’re together and we take care of each other. I promise.”
You nodded, “I’ll just stick close by you, how’s that?”
“Yeah, yeah, that works. Stay by me, I won’t let anything happen to you.” Glenn replied. It wasn’t exactly a promise that he could make, especially when he had no idea where they were going to end up now that the CDC was out of question, but he fully intended to do everything in his power to keep it. He couldn’t let anything happen to you, he felt far too much hope when he looked at you to let go of that.

Survival and Serendipity
Glenn Rhee x reader
Tumblr media
In the desolate world overrun by the undead, where trust was as scarce as hope, Glenn Rhee found himself facing a challenge he hadn't expected: getting to know you and your 6-year-old child, Mia. His heart, once solely focused on survival, now fluttered with uncertainty and a longing for something more meaningful.
It all began one day when you stumbled upon the group of survivors that Glenn called family. In the midst of your weary travels, there was a glimmer of hope that led you to their camp. As Glenn watched you approach, holding Mia's hand tightly, his heart skipped a beat. You were cautious, guarded, and rightfully so. In this world, trust was a fragile commodity, and Glenn respected that.
He approached you with a warm smile, though he knew the smile could never truly match the warmth he felt inside. "Hey there," he said softly, crouching down to meet Mia's curious gaze. "What's your name?"
Mia's eyes, big and innocent, studied Glenn for a moment before she mumbled, "Mia." She clung to your side, her tiny fingers clutching your shirt.
Glenn nodded, understanding her apprehension. "Well, Mia, I'm Glenn. And this is your mom, right?" He glanced up at you, offering a reassuring smile.
You nodded, a mixture of gratitude and skepticism in your eyes. But there was something in the way Glenn spoke, something in the kindness that radiated from him, that made you want to believe that maybe, just maybe, there was still goodness in the world.
As days turned into weeks, Glenn took small steps to win both your and Mia's trust. He'd often sit with you by the campfire, sharing stories of his own childhood, his dreams, and the world before it all fell apart. Mia would listen, her eyes wide with wonder as she started to view him not just as a stranger, but as a friend.
One sunny afternoon, Glenn brought out a deck of playing cards he'd found in an abandoned gas station. He knelt before Mia, his eyes twinkling. "Hey, wanna learn a card game?" he asked, offering her a playful wink.
Mia's face lit up with excitement as she nodded vigorously. Glenn patiently taught her the game, his fingers showing her the tricks of the trade. It was in these moments that a bond began to form, a connection built on trust, patience, and the simple joy of being together.
Through countless encounters, Mia began to see Glenn as a surrogate uncle, someone she could turn to for comfort and laughter amidst the harsh reality of their world. And as for you, you couldn't help but admire the way Glenn had taken a genuine interest in your child's well-being.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, you found Glenn and Mia sitting together on a log, sharing a quiet conversation and laughing. It was a sight that warmed your heart and filled you with a hope you thought had long disappeared. Glenn Rhee had become more than just a fellow survivor; he had become a part of your family.
As the days turned into months, Glenn's bond with both you and Mia deepened. His protective instincts grew stronger, and he couldn't help but smile at the sight of Mia clinging to his side, her tiny hand in his as they navigated this treacherous world together.
One evening, under the starry sky, you found yourselves sitting around the campfire. The flickering flames danced in the darkness, casting a warm and intimate glow. Glenn's voice was soft as he recounted tales from his past, stories that spoke of a time when life was simpler, filled with laughter and love.
You couldn't deny the warmth that Glenn's presence brought into your life. He had a way of making you feel safe, cherished, and understood in a way that no one else had in years. It was as if the world had conspired to bring you together in this bleak reality.
One night, after Mia had drifted off to sleep in her makeshift bedroll, you and Glenn found yourselves alone by the campfire. The silence between you was comfortable, a testament to the deep connection that had grown between you.
Glenn turned to you, his eyes filled with a mixture of vulnerability and longing. "You know," he began, his voice barely above a whisper, "I never thought I'd find anything worth holding onto in this world. But then you and Mia came into my life, and everything changed."
Your heart skipped a beat as you met his gaze, the intensity of his words leaving you breathless. "Glenn," you whispered back, your voice trembling, "I feel the same way. You've brought hope back into our lives."
In that moment, the world around you seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of you illuminated by the campfire's gentle glow. Glenn reached for your hand, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. Slowly, he leaned in, and your lips met in a tender, heartfelt kiss—a kiss that spoke of the love and connection that had blossomed between you.
From that moment on, your relationship with Glenn deepened into a love that was both fierce and tender. You faced the dangers of the world side by side, finding strength in each other's arms. Mia, too, began to see Glenn not just as a friend but as a father figure, and her trust in him only solidified your love for him.
In this harsh and unforgiving world, you and Glenn had found something rare and precious—a love that had grown from the ashes of despair, a love that would endure the trials of the apocalypse. Together, you forged a family, bound not by blood but by the unbreakable bonds of love, trust, and survival.

Sundrop's The Walking Dead Masterlist
Tumblr media
(Please note, all of these link off to AO3 - my AO3 is archive locked, so you need an AO3 account to view these fics. But I hope to have these fics edited and reposted on Tumblr sometime soon.)
The World Is Ugly - Maggie Greene x Fem!Reader. Strangers to Lovers. Angst and Smut with a Fluffy Ending. Set during Season 2 and Season 4. When you arrive at Hershel's farm with the group, you are hiding two very important secrets: you are a lesbian (which is very controversial in the religious south) - and you self harm. Eventually, Maggie finds out both of these things, and despite your first impressions of her - doesn't judge you for either of them. In fact, she falls deeper in love with you. (21,400 words.)
(The next fic is the author's personal favourite - one of my favourite fics I have ever written in my 10+ years of writing. If you can handle the angst, I highly recommend reading it.)
Hold Me Tight Or Don't - Glenn Rhee x Fem!Reader x Maggie Greene. Established Poly Relationship. Smut and Heavy Angst. Set during Season 3, Episode 4. After being bitten while trying to help get Glenn and Maggie to safety, you are facing your last hours of life. And in those last hours, you only have one wish - to have sex with your partners one last time. Luckily for you, they would do anything for you, and they can't help but to oblige. (7,200 words.)
Tumblr media
(The next two fics are much older - they were written long before their AO3 post date indicates. If they were to be edited in order to be posted, it would be a complete overhaul of the fic. So note, the versions of these fics that are on AO3 fic will likely not be the same as the version posted on Tumblr in the future.)
Day and Night - Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader. Strangers to 'Lovers'. Fluff and Hurt/Comfort. Set Pre-Season 4. When Daryl gets into some trouble on a hunt and gets shot, a random stranger comes to his rescue. He doesn't expect that stranger to be beautiful, kind, and to make him a candlelit dinner after treating his wounds. (Wait - is this a date?) (5,000 words.)
State of Emergency - Glenn Rhee x Fem!Reader. Strangers to Lovers. Smut. Set in an AU of Season 1. When Glenn encounters his first zombie, he knocks on your door for help. Because you've seen all the zombie apocalypse media, you're well prepared. The two of you decide to wait out the end of the world together - and you warm up to each other very quickly. (3,400 words.)

Summary: Y/n is the younger sister of Daryl Dixon. Y/n was more like her brother Daryl than she was her brother merle. Well, that is unless she's angry. Then she has the mouth and anger of Merle Dixon himself. Y/n first met Gleen at the quarry. That's where there friendship first grew and continued to grow through the post-apocolypes.
Tumblr media
The sun was rising over the hills. The sunlight glowed on the tent making it bright in there. Y/n groaned slightly as she pulled her blanket over her head covering her eyes from the sunlight.
Y/n rolled over reaching over for her boyfriend who stayed the night in her tent. But he wasn't there. Y/n jumped up looking for him. He was gone. "Glenn?" Y/n calls out. She slips on her shoes sliding a hoodie over her body as she stepped out of the tent.
"Glenn?" She calls out again. Usually by now one person would be awake by now, but Y/n didn't hear anyone. Y/n started making her way up the hill where she saw the camp infested with walkers. Glenn being eaten alive along with the rest of the group all bitten or turned. Y/n screams as she looks upon her worst nightmare.
Y/n felt her whole body shake, but she was stuck, frozen. "Oh my god." She cries as she falls onto her knees. The walkers walking up towards her. Y/n woke up from her nightmare with a scream. Glenn was trying to shake her awake and finally she woke up.
"It's okay, baby. It's okay it was just a nightmare." Glenn says as he wipes her tears away. "Oh my god, Glenn." Y/n cries as she pulls Glenn to her arms. "You were dead. Everyone was dead and turned." She sobs into his chest. "I'm here. I'm not going anywhere, I promise." He says as he kisses her forehead, rocking her soothingly. "I'll never leave you." He promises.
Y/n and Glenn got ready for the day. Y/n put on one of Glenn shirts and stuck to his side most of the morning. She was glued to his hip terrified her dream would become real. She didn't tell her brothers about the nightmares. But she gave both of her brothers a tight hug this morning and gave them a kiss on their cheek whispering that she loved them. They both told her they loved her too. Even Merle. He loves his sister, but doesn't show it in this best ways.
"Today were going to the ciry for a run, any volunteers?" Morales asked as they gathered bags together to take with them. "I'll go." Merle, Glenn, Jaqcie, andrea and T-dog all volunteer to go.
Y/n looks up at her boyfriend. A little anxious, but he always comes back to you. "I promised. I will be back." He says kissing her forehead. Y/n gives a tight lipped smile has she hugs him. "Y'all be careful." Y/n says as she hugs her boyfriend. She goes over to Merle and hugs him. "Be careful asshat." She says holding him tightly. "You have a bad dream again I guess." She nodded. "Don't tell Daryl, He'll worry about me and I don't want him to worry." Merle noddeds and agrees with her. "Don't worry about me baby sister. Can't nobody kill Merle Dixon." He proclaims with his arms wide. Y/n smiles and walks away. Off to help the other do chores around the camp. Just another day in the life of the apocolypse.
The day went by slowly. Y/n dreaded every second of that day. Her anxienty was up every minute of that day. She jumped at every little noise. Y/n watched the camp carefully. She had her weapons ready at every moment. She was hanging up laudry when she heard Lori walk off. "I'm gonna go look for more mushrooms. Carl stay in eye sight of Dale." Lori says as she starts to walk off. "You too, stay in shouting range. If you get into any trouble just yell." "Yes mom." She says softly.
Y/n observes as Shane shortly follows behind but going a diffrent route. "Hopes he uses the condoms we got." Y/n says to herself, shaking her head.
As the day went on Y/n starts to prepare lunch for the group. putting some beans in the cast iron pan to heat up over the fire. She feeds everyone, but she doesn't eat. She could'nt, her nerves would allow it. If she ate she would just throw it all up.
"This should help your nerves." Carol says as she hands Y/n a mug of tea. "It's herbal tea, it really does help with anxienty. It's what I drink every morning." Carol says softly.
"Nightmare?" Carol asks as she sits beside Y/n. Y/n looks out at the water and shakes her head. "Is it that obvious?" Y/n asks Carol. "Well, when one of our best and strongest people don't act normal some of us can kinda pick up on it, hun." Carol explains.
"I had a dream that walkers took over camp. I watched as the walkers ate yall alive. I couldn't do anything about it. I just sobbed and fell to my knees. I begged God not to let it be true. To see the kids being torchered. It killed me to see y'all like that. I finally woke up, but just to see that it killed me. I cried I know an half an hour after I woke up. I felt horrible that Glenn had seen me in such a wreck. I try to be strong. I try to be strong for everyone. I try to keep my emotions in check. Put them on the back burner, that way I can help any of y'all when ya need it." Y/n rants as tears dare to spill out of her Y/e/c eyes.
Carol imbraces Y/n into a hug and Y/n excepts it slowly. It felt weird to be imbraced by a woman. She didn't have her mom in her life very long. She died in a house fire. So to be imbraced in the arms of a person she trusted. Y/n just let all the emotions out. She just sobbed into her shoulder.
"Shh." Carol softly shushes as she rocks Y/n in her arms like a child. "It's okay. It'll all be okay in the end." She comforts Y/n.
"I'm sorry." Y/n cries out. Carol shakes her head no. "You don't have to be sorry, Y/n." "I'm weak." Y/n cries. "I can't even hold myself together. Am i even good for the group. Good for him, I'm just damaged goods." Y/n cries.
"What do you mean? You are not damaged goods." Carol says as she leans back pulling Y/n away looking into her eyes. "You can't tell nobody. I don't want anyone to think any diffrent of me." Y/n starts.
"I won't tell a soul." Carol promises holding up her pinking to do a pinky promise. Y/n giggles slightly as she wraps her pinking around Carols sealing the promise.
(Where the story of abuse starts skip until the next note if you would be triggered by abusive and grafic murder.)
"My daddy. He use to beat on us. He would hit me with whatever was in his reach. I've been hit so many times I couldn't even count the scares that I have on my body." Y/n says and instantly Carol finally understands what she meant the other day when she threatened Ed.
"My daddy, he'd put his ciggerates out on my hands or where ever he could reach. I can't even count the number of times I had to go to school with a black eye and just say how I got in a fight with my brothers. He'd use a whip on us. My back is covered in scares from it. I would take blame for what my brothers did, not wanting them beat either. Merle left us. Leaving most of the beatings to Daryl and I." Y/n somewhat regrets telling Carol all this. She feels bad about it. She should've kept her mouth shut.
"I don't want you to feel bad for me. I made that bastard suffer." Y/n says as she wipes her tears away. "May I ask what you did?" Carol asks. Y/n nodded as she smiles. "He hit me for the last time. Broke my arm and fractured my rib. I had enough of the abuse. I was abused for 19 years." Y/n starts. Carol sits there silently allowing Y/n continue at her own pace.
"He was passed out drunk in his chair in the living room. His drink still in his hand and a burnt out ciggerate in the other. All I thought about when I saw him was how he should pay for what he put me and my brothers through. And I just acted. I knew once he was passed out drunk he wouldn't wake up to anything. I tied him down to the chair. Taking extra prcautions. I thought about what to do. I grabbed a baseball bat from the closet. And I cracked it over  his head. And some how it didn't kill him. I beat his whole body with it. I just wanted him to feel the pain he put my brother and I through. I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and i just stabbed him. I stabbed him over and over. Making sure he'd be good and dead." Y/n says looking at Carol to see if she would look at her to see if she would look at her any diffrent.
"When I knew he was dead. I called Daryl. He helped me get rid of the body. We threw 'im in the hog pins down the road. We knew that nobody would miss him. He would skip town anyway. What did it matter if my daddy went missing again?" Y/n finshes. "Do you regret it?" Carol asks. "No, I'd do it all over again. That's why I told you if Ed put another hand on you again I'd kill him. I don't have remorst for the wicked."
(End of that part start reading here if you skipped it)
After Y/n pulled herself together and made sure carol was okay after pouring her heart out to the older woman. The day was pretty much over with. The sun would set in a couple hours. Y/n looked around camp searching for the group that left this morning.
"They talked a little bit on the radio earlier. They'll probably be here soon." by the time Lori tells Y/n that they all hear a car alarm.
"What the hell is that?" Shane asks as he looks up at Dale who was sitting on the top of the Rv looking out with the binoculars.
Y/n watches as Glenn pulls up in a bright red Dodge challenger. The alarm blaring loudly. "What the hell were you thinking bringing this thing here? Every damn walker for miles will be here." Shane yells. "Pop the hood please. Pop the dam hood please." Shane says as he opens the hood of the car finding the correct wire on the battery pulling it off. The alarm stops.
"I'm glad you're okay." Y/ns says gratfully as Glenn pulls her into him. "You have no clue." He says breathlessly. "I love you so much." He proclaims giving her a passionate kiss on the lips. "Are you okay were you bit?" Y/n asks, Glenn wasn't really the one for much PDA.
"No, no. Everything is fine. It's just been a long day." He says as he keeps her in the hug. "Where is the rest of them?" Lori asks. "They're right behind me. We have a new guy with us. He saved our lives today." Y/n looks up at him and smiles. Thankful that she was finally in his arms. "but there is something Y'all need to know. That Daryl and Y/n are probably not going to be happy about. Merle was left handcuffed to a roof. He's safe away from the walkers, but he was dangerous. Waving a gun around threatening us. He was high on something.."
By the time he says that the others pull up in a box truck. Everyone got out and joined their families. "The only way we made it out today was because of the new guy. He's a sherriff like you shane." Morales says as he looks back towards the truck. "Come on officer friendly, come meet the group." As Lori was comforting Carl from the lost of his father; Carl happens to turn around.
"Dad!" Carl cries out running towards his father. "Carl, oh my god Carl." Rick his father cries. "Lori." He cries more as he imbracing his family.
They were all enjoying the evening when they heard Carl and Sofia screamed. The group runs towards their screaming. They find a walker eating a deer that had an arrow in it. "Daryls not going to be happy." Y/n thinks to herself as the group of men start beating the walker.
"God, got my damn deer. I've been tracking it for miles." Daryl says as he looks at the walker that had aten half the deer already. "Do you think we can cut the eaten parts off? No need to waste good deer meat." He asks the group. "No, I wouldn't chance it."
They got rid of the walker and the half eaten deer. Daryl hands Y/n a handful of squirrels. "I guess this is what everyone is eating tonight. No deer." Daryl says as he walks off. The group gave Y/n a look practically telling her she should be the one to tell them about Merle. Y/n nods and walks off towards Daryl.
Daryl sits on a lawn chair down by the water. Y/n doesn't say anything as she sits on the ground beside him. Daryl notices his sister, but doesn't say anything. "Some of the group went on a run today in the city." Y/n starts. Daryl looks at her as she speaks. "You go?" Daryl asks as he sharpens his knife on a wet stone. "No, to be honest with you I haven't been in the right head space today." Y/n explained. Daryl nodded and said, "I know, I heard you screaming in your sleep, but I knew Glenn would take care of ya." Daryl says and Y/n looks down at her hands. "Merle was one of them that went on the run today." Daryl looks at Y/n trying to figure out what she is trying to say. "He dead?" Y/n shook her head no.
"He was threatening the group while they were trapped inbetween herds. He was shooting the gun when it was the worst time to. He was trying to hurt everyone in the group. The officer hand cuffed him to a roof. And one of them dropped the keys down the pipe when they fell. I will go with you tomorrow to find him, but at this moment we need to stay calm." Y/n rants quickly fearing her brother would yell at her, not meeting his eyes once.
"Okay, I'm pissed off, but I know it's not your fault and there's no need to cause more chaos in the group." Daryl tells you what you want to hear. You know truly he wants to beat everyones ass. Glenn included. "Just yell, get it over with." Y/n says as she finally met her brothers blue eyes.
"I ain't gonna yell at you. Them maybe just a little bit, but you did nothing wrong here." Y/n just takes her brothers word for it.
The group ate the squirell that Y/n had skinned for the group and that daryl had killed. Y/n ate slowly as she rested her back up against Glenns front. "This is the best damn squirrel I have ever ate." Daryl says looking down at his plate guzzling down his food. "I can't believe I am saying this, but I agree." Lori says, "Y/n knows how to fix it just like mama." Daryl says as he goes to meet Y/ns eyes.
"She was the one that taught me." Y/n says with a tight lipped smile. "Luckly I found the right seasonings." Y/n says giving them a smile.
Everyone ejoyed their meals and slowly one by one left the fire pit area. Y/n slowly got up. Glenn gets up with Y/n. Glenn takes Y/n by the hand and walking her to her tent.
Daryl was sitting out by the fire he made at their small camp at the water. Y/n looks at Daryl and knows he is upset about Merle. Y/n pulls her lawn chair closer to Daryl. And Glenn sits in the other beside Y/n. His hand resting comfortably on Y/ns thigh.
"I'm gonna go out with the group and help y'all find our brother." Y/n says lowly to her brother. Daryl just nods. "You know Merle. Nothing can kill him, that's what he told me this morning. That sneaky bastard will live through anything." Y/n says giving Daryl her comforting smile. Daryl nods. "I know." He aknowledging Y/n. They sit in silents just listening to the sound of the frogs and the crackle of the fire.
As time went on Y/n and Glenn eventually went to Y/ns tent. Y/n changed into clean pjs. (A just an oversize shirt.) She cuddled into Glenns arms just resting.
"Glenn, are you still awake?" Y/n asks as she looks up at Glenn. "yeah." HE whispered looking down at her. "Can I tell you something without you freaking out?" She whispers playing with his fingers that were wrapped around hers. "You aren't pregnant are you?" He jokes. "No." She laughs. "I want to tell you that I love you. Today it just made me realize that I need to tell you that. I thought if things with south today and you got hurt or killed. You would die not knowing how I truly feel for you. And you don't have to say anything back, but I just wanted to tell you that." Glenn smiles at Y/n as he leans down to kiss her. "I love you too." And with that the two just felt so comfortable they fell asleep.

genre: fluff pairing: Glenn Rhee x f!reader summary: Y/N gets jealous seeing Glenn with Maggie. warnings: jealousy, fighting(verbally), kissing
Tumblr media
Hanging around the campfire with the group, Y/N gets up from the foldable chair, walking away from the group.
She was annoyed, she felt jealous.
She had seen Glenn, the man that confessed his love to her, walk away with Maggie after dinner. They were gone for a while now and she obviously wanted to know what was going on.
She didn’t know Maggie that well, having met her only a few days ago, but she did know for a fact that she was attracted to Glenn. And that infuriated her, especially when she saw Maggie pass a note to him during dinner. As Y/N approached a faraway fence, she felt someone following her. She placed her arms over the railing and leaned forward, hiding her face between her arms.
“Y/N?” Glenn called out to her, standing next to her. She sighs before looking up at him, “What.” She blandly responds.
He looks down, feeling nervous as she stares him down. “What is it, Glenn?” He clears his throat and looks at her face, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” She replies quickly before turning back to face the fence. “You’re not,” Glenn tells her back, “Tell me what’s wrong.” Y/N looks at him, biting her bottom lip as she huffs out feeling furious.
“Tell you what’s wrong!? Oh, I don’t maybe it’s because I saw you leave with Maggie!” She crosses her arms over her chest and stares into his eyes, Glenn looks back but quickly darts his gaze to her feet.
“What are you hiding from me, Glenn?” “Hiding?” He asks. “I’m not stupid, you can’t look into anyone’s eyes when you’re hiding something.” He looks away sighing deeply.
Y/N watches his face as he furrows his eyebrows, “Are you—” She quickly interrupts him. “Jealous? Yeah, cause I am. How can I not be, when the guy I love leaves with a woman who's clearly very interested in him—”
Her sentence is stopped mid-way as Glenn holds Y/N's waist, pulling her in and bringing his lips to hers. He kisses her softly, shutting her up as she stays still, surprised.
As she realizes, she kisses back, but suddenly, he pulls away, realizing what he had done, “I… I -uh,” He closes his eyes, “I’m sorry.” He lets her go and looks around, running his hand through his hair.
He tries explaining himself and begins to fidget. “I shouldn't have... I- fuck.” He closes his eyes trying to compose himself and gather his scattering thoughts.
Y/N watches him, “Shut up and kiss me, Glenn.” She mutters, grabbing his face as she pulls him back to a passionate kiss.
His eyes widen but he closes them, letting himself melt into the moment.

✧.➷ sex w glenn.
original request here !
Tumblr media
“my poor girl.” he watches as you settle your knees on either side of his body, your hand reaching down to position his length at your entrance. you can’t help but moan at the stretch, you want nothing more than to shut your eyes and marvel at the feeling of him but you force them open so you can watch him fall apart for you. “look at you all pent up.”
“fuck, glenn.” you place your hands on his chest to steady yourself. you set a fixed rhythm, bouncing desperately against him. he places his hands on your hips to assist you.
you smack your hips into his, eyes rolling at how deep he was inside you. you rode him until your thighs began to ache and your stomach began to burn.
“i just wanna make you feel good.” he can’t stop the sewage of incoherent sentences that tumble from his mouth. he’s barely aware of what he’s saying but his words give you enough motivation to fight your growing exhaustion and keep going.
“there you go, use me to make yourself cum.” he can’t help but stare at the spot where your two bodies meet. he can’t help but buck his hips into yours causing you to almost topple over.
“shit––baby, i’m sorry.” he blinks up at you and god, he looks so pretty. “you just feel so good around me.”
you clench around him, feeling the way his breath quickens underneath your palms.
“bet you were thinking about this all day.” he mumbles, words as gentle as his hands.
a whimper escapes your lips before you nod. “all day.”
“yeah? me too, just wanted to be buried inside you.” you legs begin to tremble at his words, he always knew just what to say to get you going.
“are you going to cum for me?” you nod again, unable to speak. “go ahead, make a mess for me.”

You loved going on dates with Glenn, every one of them was an adventure, the next one always more unique than the last. Like this one, where you had decided that it would be a good idea to go to the mall, despite it being the month of December. Another thing about Glenn was that he had a childish spirit, one that indulged in childhood fantasies, just like this one. There had been a decorative sleigh smack dap in the middle of the mall, and you knew as soon as Glenn had set his eyes on it, he was about to do something that might get the both of you banned.
“Glenn, no.” You said, already reading his mind as he stared mischievously at the dark red decoration. “Why not?” He asked, turning his head to look at you. “Because I don’t want to get banned from here or some shit like that, I still need a place to go Christmas shopping, you know.” He just rolled his eyes before grabbing your hand. “You could give my mom a bag full of trash and she would be grateful, and c’mon, just one picture and then we can go do whatever you want.” You sighed, already knowing you would give into his pleading gaze as you muttered out, “One picture, then that’s it.” He took off as you dug your phone out of your pocket, holding it up as he grabbed onto the reigns connected to the plastic reindeer. You couldn’t lie and say that this wouldn’t make a perfect picture to show his family, or even better, to make your lock screen.
The look of pure joy was unmistakable as you snapped pictures, the grown man shuffling around in different poses so you could get all his angles.
Maybe you were going to get kicked out, but who cares? It’s Christmas.

hey pookie idk if ur taking fic requests but a man can dream!!! so if u are, could you do something like ur angsty fics with daryl (idk if you've done them for others) with glenn where it's either gn or male and reader is just kinda like exhausted and not eating
if u don't want to or don't feel comfortable feel free to ignore!!!!! have a good day
Hi, nonny, I don't mind requests at all! I'm just typically more comfy with characters I've already written a lot of, but I gave it a crack just for you. I've written Glenn a total of maybe 6 or 7 lines of dialogue before this fic lmao.
I made it so their relationship is platonic, I hope that's okay!
I hope you're doing well, remember you are loved.

Warnings ➳ massive caution tape, flickering light warning for eating disorders and depression, pls be safe

Alexandria's roads sparkled with rain, petrichor hanging in the late afternoon. Gravel crunched under their boots, weary footsteps accompanied only by the scattered chirp of a bird or cricket. Fatigue seemed to seep into the very wildlife surrounding the community.
Their limbs, heavy as they felt, moved unthinkably down the asphalt. Muscles tense but exhausted, an unbearable weight in their chest yet a feeling of moving underwater. The contradictions felt the most infuriating.
"Hey!" Glenn's voice echoed from behind them, heavy steps approaching before he fell into step. A look of happy recognition falling into immediate concern and their stomach twisted itself into knots at the coddling neither of them knew was needed.
"You okay?" But that wouldn't stop Glenn from trying.
"Yeah," they breathed shortly, shooting him what could only be described as a grimace in an attempt for comfort. It only worsened their situation.
Glenn spun and continued walking backwards, his focus fully on them and they wanted the ground to swallow them at the scrutiny from their friend.
"I'm fine, Glenn," a more convincing smile this time round. "Really."
His eyes narrowed before hands gripped their shoulders to a halt, sighs and a look to the side to avoid his gaze. They couldn't hide hollow eyes and the sway in their stance.
But then his face changed once more, and their heart shattered in their chest as eyes finally locked. He knew.
"Again?" His shoulders fell, hands still firmly planted on them and an anguish taking over his features. The crack in his voice was what had their so carefully built up facade crashing down into pieces.
They bit their tongue, hands trembling before balled into weak fists and Glenn was the only thing holding them upright in that moment. Gaze fell to their shoes, how could they look at him? Why would he want to see them?
"I'm…" But that would be a lie, an insincere apology to provide false comfort to the one whose mind was clear and fingers stayed steady.
Time felt like limbo in that moment, in the moment where he pieced together patterns that had repeated and tangled until the start couldn't be determined from the end. Until they all blurred in a horrid weave of stupidity.
Because they were stupid, they had to be. They couldn't tell the difference from the walkers outside the walls and their own reflection most days, more often than not, they avoided their own eyes completely.
"What…" Gears turned at rapid speeds in his head; working out a plan and determining solutions that they both knew would end them right back where they stood now.
"You shouldn't have to-"
"You're crazy if you think I'm gonna let you deal with this on your own," and he said it with such certainly, such unwavering belief that they almost believed him.
They wanted to believe him - more than anything.
"Glenn-"
"Let me help, me and Maggie." Words urged further, leaning down to make sure their gazes locked. "Please."
When words stuck heavy in their throat, he continued. His hands still held their shoulders firmly, they knew his fingers felt the trembling beneath.
"And even if we can't help, just let us be there." They searched his eyes for traces of a joke or malice, it seemed idiotic to even consider the idea of a lie because it was Glenn. "Lean on us."
Swallowing the lump in their throat, eyes fell to their boots once more and the disagreement sat on their tongue.
No.
But why? Did they believe themself so unworthy of help that even the idea, the mere thought of healing made the wicked voice in the back of their mind scream to spin around and never speak to him again? To continue fabrications of, "I've eaten already," and, "No, I'm not hungry."
Because as loud and as awful as that voice was, they were tired. Exhausted of waking to trembling fingers and a mind that couldn't fucking think. They could barely find the energy to wave greetings with false niceties and find excuse after excuse to not go on runs because they knew they'd only be a liability.
So they swallowed their pride, along with that screaming voice wailing in disapproval.
And they nodded their head.
