I can't stop thinking about Angel crowley innocently going up to the metatron/god/the archangels to ask his questions. Sweet, innocent, in-love-with-the-universe-he-just-made angel crowley, anxiously asking why something so gorgeous with so much potential has to be destroyed.
Can't stop thinking about the fact that he probably trusted and loved heaven as much as innocent aziraphale did. And I can't stop thinking about how painful being cast out would have been. The ones he trusted, the beings supposedly of light and love, who gave him the task of making the galaxy, rejected him, abandoned him, and threw him away.
Can't stop thinking about how he had probably never felt pain of any kind before, probably never felt afraid before, never felt betrayed before, and he had to feel it all as he plummeted into the pool of boiling sulfer. Then he was in hell and who knows what they did to him. And he was alone through it all.
Thinking about how much pain and torment turned bright-eyed, innocent, angel crowley into dark, closed off, hardened crowley we all know and love.
Thinking about how he would do anything to keep that from happening to aziraphale.
If Aziraphale will become an archangel, would Heaven do something to make him forget about Crowley? They know they worked with each other, they know that he could do something to stop the Plan if it won't be actually "good", because Crowley showed him that not everything is good and not everything is bad, and also saw what they did to stop the Apocalypse, obviously. They know he wants to change that place for his lover, so they could be together for eternity. They know that they possibly share 6000 years of memories, where they messed up some of the plans. So, to make sure he will take Gabriel's place and do his job in a way Heaven would like it, would they make Aziraphale live as before meeting with Crowley - sticking to their rules, being fully on Heaven's side? Well, Aziraphale wasn't sticking to rules so much even before talking with demon Crowley, I mean he gave away his sword to humans, because he was worried about them... But Heaven doesn't know about it.
alright i need to talk about something regarding good omens and the archangels because this doesn't add up to me;
biblicly speaking, heaven had 4 archangels, right? Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Lucifer. Lucifer obvioisly fell and became the devil. The thing is, we have never caught a glimpse of the Archangel Raphael. They haven't even been mentioned. Instead of Raphael, there's Uriel.. which seems odd to me. Referring again to the bible, Uriel is not an Archangel. But here's the thing; in the last episode of season2 where Muriel and Crowley are standing before the super-secret-file, Crowley can open it, even though Muriel tells him, that only higher-up angels are able to open the file... including Archangels.
What if Crowley was the Archangel Raphael before he fell??
we have never heard his angel name. and it kind of would make sense why Uriel got "promoted" to be an Archangel themselves... what do you think?
Pinterest for the Win. I also binged watched season 1 with my best friend last night, and now we're doing season 2. I cant wait to see their reaction on the last episode
Part two of my high thoughts after rewatching Good Omens
Okay so y’all remember that one episode where Crowley is caught trying to save Job’s goats by disguising them as birds? Well when Aziraphale is like you’re a good person and saying how he knows him well and what he wants. Crowley retorts and says “How would you know what I want?”
Well he might have said this because if Aziraphale had really known what Crowley’s wants were, he would have figured out that Crowley was in love with him. In short his thought is, “If you knew me so well, you would know that I am in love with you”. But Aziraphale doesn’t, so he doesn’t know what Crowley wants really.
Add more to it if you want, this is just a summarized version of what I wrote on my notes lol
Good Omens 2 was like reading a 100k fanfic in the middle of the night that you realize was left unfinished and last updated 5 years ago, and you are left alone with this earth-shattering cliffhanger
These two idiots kill me because what Crowley is hearing from Aziraphale is, “I am able to look past your demonic nature because I love you so much, but if there was a way, I would change that part of you” and what Crowley wants to hear is, “I look at all of you and I love all of you”
Meanwhile Aziraphale’s actually saying, “I love every version of you that I’ve known, but I miss the smile you had when I met you and I would give anything to bring that joy back”
ok so the thing is, the kiss really was the best way crowley knew to convey his feelings to aziraphale because nina and maggie were right, they do talk but they never say what they mean.
but that doesn’t mean they don’t understand each other, at least to a certain extent.
and crowley knows aziraphale
he knows that he loves books and plays and the stories made by humanity. he watches his angel learn magic the human way and finds out he learned french the human way and knows better than anyone how much he loves human food. he throws a ball to get nina and maggie together because that’s what the humans in jane austen novels would do.
crowley knows that aziraphale romanticizes humanity, loves the drama and the stories and every little thing that makes humans human.
and what could be more human than a desperate kiss asking someone to stay
Rewatched Good Omens while high and here were my thoughts. Just sobered up lol
So we all know how Crowley and Aziraphale have an apology dance right? It makes you wonder when and how that dance came to be. Someone must have messed up to create one. Also this shows how close they are to one another. Because it’s a “gesture” that they can both share and it’s their thing. The one thing of many they have.
Aside from this, can you just imagine Aziraphale mentioning this idea and Crowley turning it down immediately. Saying how it’s very idiotic. But really at the end he went with it because he loves his Angel. And might I add that he really added the effort to memorize the dance. He remembers it even though he never performed it, it was mainly Aziraphele. I get that it might be because them being celestial beings it gives them that power, but I’d like to think that Crowley keeps that as an important thing to remember because again it’s the one thing Aziraphale wanted to create and share with only him. Plus he would want nothing more than to make Aziraphale happy, and if this is one of the many things, then so be it.
