Greenplumbboblover’s Storytelling-Poses Recompiled

How this came about: My pose-archive is organized with list-compatible posepacks only, and I usually scroll through the thumbnails when I pick poses for a scene. Recently I wanted to have a closer look at the leading toddler poses from Greenplumbboblover’s Storytelling Posepack, so I loaded it ingame. When I switched through the poses I realized there are some real storytelling-gems, which I hadn’t noticed so far, because the thumbnails were out of context. Actually I only meant to replace the images, but I ended up recompiling the poses, to fix some minor bugs and to have the themed ones together. At this point I thought it might be useful to other storytellers too. So I got in touch with Greenplumbboblover and she’s fine with me sharing these.

I didn’t edit the poses themselves. The only visible changes are the new thumbnails and a few words changed to make the descriptions more clear.

And I just realized I forgot the second B in “Greenplumbboblover” all this time...

I know Simblr appreciation day has long well passed, but I do want to pass something along as well :)

I really adore your CC, the patterns you make are precisely what I'm always looking for and get really excited when you release new ones! It's absolutely MAGIC to me how you get such difficult patterns (like tartan and wool) into actual TS3 patterns! I still have no idea how you do it lol! Not only are your patterns great, your tutorials still to this day help me out when I forgot about things.

I remember back in the days I was this wee-modder, I barely knew how to do anything, and I'd ask these big ts3 tumblrs for help... though in those days, it was quite hard to get proper help on tumblr.

I was honestly getting more and more cautious to ask for help after the many rejections or ignored messages, till I reached out to you for help. That help that you showed me inspired me to try to help people as much as possible too! That was precisely what this community needed and you showed it right there and then :)

Honestly, I'd even go as far that you got me where I am currently and I can't thank you enough for holding out a hand when I was feeling so desperate in those days. Thank you for that ❤

I feel so honored. This is everything a teacher could ever wish for! IMO, a good teacher encourages learning to help yourself. This is a huge reason why I explain not only the how but the why. The hows are fundamental to developing further curiosity about how things work. Combined with the ability to recognize good practices and bad ones and the ability to learn from your own mistakes, you have all the tools needed to learn more on your own. I'm so glad my approach worked for you like it did! It is so satisfying to teach people like you who have a big thirst for knowledge. I noticed early on how well you picked things up and dove into other rabbit holes on your own (I'm so impressed how well you know the innards of s3pe, for example). Sorry if this is a bit cringe, but I am so proud of you and how far you've come 🥳 You also pay your knowledge forward by writing great tutorials yourself and by building a whole new simblr community.

As for the next year, I actually want to teach more and create new tutorials! It means so much to me to be able to share my knowledge and experience and help people create their own Sims content, to see how their work improves over time. And we all profit from more cool CC after all 😂

Spring - Year 3

While Shocc and Ru were still downstairs being cute with each other,

the rest of the Isol Isle sims had retired to the second floor, where they either wound down or turned in for the evening.

Trovinte, FroAnhke, and Justice* found themselves flipping through books, albeit the latter studied while the prior two read more for their own enjoyment.

Eventually, Shocc and Ru joined the rest after washing up and/or gathering wood to start the fire at the upstairs hearth.

By this time, the triplets were all tucked in bed.

While they snoozed, the older sims stretched out to enjoy each others company a little later into the night.

*I'm pretty sure I had Justice increasing his sewing skill to the level of his writing skill now that he can use @greenplumbboblover's functional sewing mod as oppose to the computer designed to look like a sewing machine (found over on ModtheSims). Once the triplets age up, I will have Assiduous and Integrity do the same thing, but use MC (found at NRAAS) to cheat with Pride as she'll immediately take over most of the clothes making as the taylor.

Escape :: What do they do to destress? How successful is it?

When Sadie feels particularly stressful, she usually actually escapes: she likes to be alone to arrange her thoughts and feelings and goes for a run or just a stroll or finds a place where she can be alone to think. "Alone" is often key here, but at other times when stressed, Sadie seeks out company because she needs a hug or a listening ear. There's only a limited number of people she will go to in a situation like that, though. Just the ones she feels most comfortable with.

Jaded :: Do they buy into the “happily ever after” ideal? What’s their standard?

Question :: How often do they feel doubt? What topics are they defensive about?

At the present moment, "doubt" is Sadie's constant state of mind. She doubts everything she's feeling and everything she's thinking. This is also what she's defensive about. She hates it when people think they have her all figured out and judge her actions based on that. If she doesn't even have herself figured out, what do they know?

Upcoming :: How much do they think of the future? Do they make long-term plans?

There was a time not too long ago, when Sadie thought her future was set in stone: she would marry Dan and have loads of babies, and they'd be a musical family, and the kids would come along to the band gigs, and, and, and... However, she learnt that feelings don't care about future plans and that life is unpredictable. Now, she's hesitant about making future plans. Is it really worth it?

My biggest problem is that I create a big, intricate outline, get it 90% written and have all of the visuals lined up, then I change my mind and have to start over from scratch. @greenplumbboblover "actually not that terrible" is exactly the level I aspire to! ;) I'm relieved and happy to hear that it looks better on mobile than it did. I'm not very good with photoshop, and don't fully understand how to translate the vision in my head to the images on the screen, but at least it sounds like I've made some progress. @episims That's interesting about them being darker on mobile, actually, because I've always had the opposite experience with my pictures; they're fairly dark on my laptop, but bright on my phone, and I don't think my phone screen is too bright? I would have tried to fix them sooner if I had known they were even darker on mobile. Well, I'm glad they seem to be a little easier to see, although I agree, it's frustrating that I can't just them be miserable and dark like I'd prefer. Thank you so much for responding and giving me feedback!

Using the now aged-into-a-child Tugsy.... who is SERIOUSLY giving me Peter Lorre vibes. Those huge eyes of hers. I hope she grows into them, lol. ANYWAY--using Tugsy, I was testing out the hair defaults by @hanalinori for child Sims. The Randomizer by @greenplumbboblover is a lot less disaster-prone, but it does help that I took out the disaster modular and focused on the others. Sorry--waaaay too many fires started that freaked me out. I love the power-outage idea a lot!!! And finally the milk mod--that I'm in love with--to which we have strawberry, obsidian, and pasteurized versions. So far, I can't get the others to have flavours added to them, for some reason. XP Will keep trying though! {edit:} @hanalinori has graciously allowed me to share their Patreon link (( FREE! )) for the TS4-TS3 Default Replacement Hair; go and download it if you want it! I've been pretty quiet on here, but that doesn't mean I've stopped simming! First up I'd like to say thanks (and sorry!) to all the lovely people who've sent me messages :) I'm gonna try my best to reply to everyone asap!

For christmas I wanted to share something special - so here is the public release of the first version of my Decorating Tools mod (or S3DT)

Quick Description - This mod adds hotkeys to the game to allow you to move objects up/down, left/right and rotate in all directions, similar to T.O.O.L for TS4 PDF Guide included below!

To my wonderful patrons - thank you for your support <3 I feel bad that real life has gotten in the way of me delivering more content to you all, so I'll likely be closing it soon! This version is compatible with icarusallsorts' Transmogrifier Mod, and until I can figure out how to script it better, my mod actually REQUIRES it in order for them to be compatible together.

Social Clubs Mod - DOWNLOAD

Tired of your sims walking aimlessly through town? No friends, no hobbies, no purpose? Put an end to their lack of a fulfilling social life by creating a million and one clubs for them to join and/or get kicked out of! 

With 50+ activities for you to push, including activities from over 10 different mods, and 4 specialised club types, you can create almost any club you can think of: book clubs, invite-only hangouts, afterschool clubs and more! Grow memberships, take part in tournaments and ship cute little subscription gifts straight to your sim’s door.

Note: This mod is very extensive, so please thoroughly read the documentation in the download that I’ve painstakingly written up.

Compatibility: Should be base game compatible however expansion packs, store content and mods add more content.

7 New Objects: Credit to @aroundthesims who has generously allowed me to use her items as well as @twinsimming who converted 2 items for me. Full credit in the documentation.

Testers: @desiree-uk who not only tested the mod, but contributed ideas for club activities, the banking system and the subscription gift system. @simsdeogloria who kindly offered to test the mod and caught some bugs that I had completely missed.

Club Types

Custom Club: Push specific activities (or no activity at all) and watch your active and inactive club members congregate and do said activities. Push bowling, swimming, rumba, nectar drinking, collecting, studying, music lessons, among many other things. 

Subscription-Only Club: While members won’t meet up, force them to pay a subscription fee to the club owner for your own purposes. Consider: food subscription service, council-tax payments, school fees.

Book Club: Choose a book for the book club. Your sims will sit together, have discussions, and read said book.

Formal Gathering Club: Set musicians and/or a speaker (podium or pulpit). Have your club members sit down and act like they’re listening to said musicians and speaker. Choose a skill to increase while the club is in operation.

Club Vibes

Clubs can have different vibes depending on the cost and activities, attracting or repelling different types of sims. There are sports, games, intellectual, low-brow and high class clubs. Some personalities will be more inclined to join than others.

Customising Clubs

Set different open days, open hours, required club outfits, subscription fees, gender, age, career and trait requirements/restrictions, forbidden actions etc.

Autonomy

Allow or restrict autonomy in different ways. Make clubs open or closed invite, allowing or disallowing sims to join, leave, or be kicked out of clubs with or without your own input. Put club boards around town and let sims browse. Impress observers by having a great club session and watch them beg to join!

Tournaments

Win tournaments and gain club acclaim. Get cash prizes, find yourself in the newspaper, and find out if any of your fellow club members are playing for the opposing team. Your own sim isn’t exempt from the repercussions of being a club traitor!

Banking

Create Bronzo accounts for your sims. You can link these accounts to schedulers and have the club fee delivered straight into the account. Take out loans, find the best interest rates online and stay out of your overdraft. Try not to get your account details stolen at the all new ATMs that you can place around town and don’t leave your debit card laying around near strangers!

Tooth Fairy Mod by Twinsimming 🦷

Based on The Sims 4: Growing Together feature, this mod gives child-aged sims the chance to lose their teeth and get money from the Tooth Fairy in The Sims 3!

This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Overview

Loose Teeth System

New Interactions

New Moodlets

Requirements

In order for the missing teeth to show up, please place the Moonskin93’s “Two teeth gone” package file included in the download in your Packages folder.

Loose Teeth System

Child-aged sims in your active household will have a random chance of getting the new custom Loose Tooth moodlet at 7:00am every day. By default this chance is set at 10%.

All humanoid occult children (vampires, werewolves, witches, fairies, genies, mermaids, and plant sims) also have the same chance of losing their teeth.

The Loose Tooth moodlet lasts for three days, but sims can use the new Wiggle Tooth or Pull Out Tooth interactions to get rid of the moodlet sooner. Wiggling a tooth has no negative consequences, but pulling out a tooth takes a -40 hit to a child sim’s mood. After the moodlet times out, child sims will automatically lose their tooth.

Once the tooth is out, child sims will gain the custom Toothloose moodlet (yes, this is a play on words :p) and have a custom face overlay applied to their teeth with the front two missing.

The next time the child sleeps, they will be visited by the Tooth Fairy and receive anywhere from 50 to 100 simoleons in exchange for their tooth, along with the custom The Tooth Fairy is Real! moodlet.

Child sims have a 5% chance of their loose tooth falling out after eating, going to school, attending after school activities (requires The Sims 3: Generations), sleeping, brushing their teeth, pillow fighting (requires The Sims 3: Generations), or playing. This value can also be tuned.

New Interactions

Both new interactions are found under the “Loose Tooth…” path in a sim’s pie menu. They are only visible when a child sim has the custom Loose Tooth moodlet.

 - Wiggle Tooth (Child Only) - Available immediately, 10% chance of tooth coming out, failing the roll chance gives the custom Not Wiggly Enough moodlet, 6 hour cooldown

Certain traits can increase or decrease the chance of a sim wiggling their tooth out by 5%.

Increased Chance Traits - Lucky

Decreased Chance Traits - Unlucky

 - Pull Out Tooth (Child Only) - Available after 1 day, child sims will always succeed in pulling out their tooth, sims get the custom negative Touchy Teeth moodlet

Brave, Daredevil, Rebellious, or Insane sims have the option to pull out their tooth immediately, and Coward sims can never pull out their tooth.

New Moodlets

Loose Tooth: Given when child sims get a loose tooth, lasts 3 days, -20 mood

Not Wiggly Enough: Given when the Wiggle Tooth interaction fails, lasts 6 hours, 0+/- mood

Touchy Teeth: Given after child sims pull out their tooth, lasts 12 hours, -40 mood

Toothloose: Given once a child sim’s tooth comes out (by wiggling, pulling, or waiting), lasts 3 days, +20 mood

The Tooth Fairy is Real!: Given after a child sim is visited by the Tooth Fairy, lasts 12 hours, +15 mood

Sims with the Diva, Hot-Headed, Grumpy, or Neurotic trait will take a larger hit to their mood when any of the above (negative) moodlets are active (extra -10).

Tuning

All of the tunable values can be found on the mod download page under the header “Tuning”.

Conflicts & Known Issues

- This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

- If a laundry basket/washer/dryer has been placed on the lot, a pile of clothing will spawn when a child sim loses a tooth.

Simblr.cc is a passion project, not a money grab, and it shows! It is currently running without ads and relying solely on 🪙donations🪙. Our own @greenplumbboblover aka Lyralei, who created simblr.cc, is working hard on implementing requests and squashing bugs.
