There’s no surrender, 'cause there’s no retreat
Tumblr media
Commited!Series:
The Longest Time - Greg has wanted you for the longest time.
You - You and Greg sneak a moment after spending some time apart.
Secrets - Greg doesn’t want to be a secret any longer.
Drunk Dial - Greg drunk dials your ex-husband after the Christmas Party
Crossing Lines - Your ex-husband shows up at Greg's apartment.
It’s three in the morning when the phone on Greg’s desk starts to ring. It’s his fourth weekend on shift as Gold Commander and he’s dealing with the paperwork from another major incident, because this is London and apparently you can’t go five minutes without one. He doesn’t even get to leave the Yard when something kicks off, instead he gets sequestered to the Control Room to strategically manage the event.
“Lestrade.” He mutters, cradling the phone under his chin as he continues typing.
“Hey it’s me.” You say and he finds himself smiling. “Look outside.”
He heads to the window, using his fingers to separate the blinds so that he can peer out the window. You’re standing on the steps outside, bundled up against the cold in your beanie and his grey scarf. You hold up two cups of take-out coffee and something warm just blossoms in his chest because despite the shit Castor’s throwing at the two of you, you’re both putting in the effort to make it work.
A couple of days after the confrontation at his apartment you’d found yourself transferred from the Yard to Whitehall CID, covering the night shift. You were appealing the decision, but the process took time. The result is you’re working opposite shifts and Greg’s covering weekends until further notice. It makes seeing each other tough but you refuse to surrender because this relationship, it means the world to the both of you.
You’re a sight for sore eyes. Your cheeks are flushed from the cool air, and you look beautiful under the lights from the sign. It’s been a couple of days since he’s laid eyes on you, and he misses you fiercely.
“Hi.” He murmurs, leaning in close.
The scent of his aftershave floods your senses, something masculine with a smoky undertone. The heat from his body rolls off his skin and it ignites something inside of you, because it’s been a few weeks since you’ve been with this man, and you miss the sensation of his skin pressing against yours. His fingertips guide your chin up so that your lips are inches apart, when he kisses you it’s soft and tender, everything you’ve been missing over the past couple of days. You moan into his mouth, and you feel him smile as his thumb chases along the line of your jaw.
“You’ve no idea how much I want to take you to bed right now.” He tells you, his nose trailing along the length yours.
“We both know it would take longer than the ten minutes we have.” You tease him as you hand him the takeout cup of coffee from the Costa vending machine in 24-hour Tesco Express.
One of the most challenging parts of working the nightshift finding places to get supplies at stupid o’clock in the morning.
“I don’t know.” He smiles, his fingertips trailing over the fabric of the scarf as he gives you a heated look. “I kind of like the challenge, me down on my knees…”
The blush that creeps up your cheeks is fucking adorable.
“I mean if you think you could do it in ten minutes…” You murmur, your gaze straying back to the building.
His fingers thread through yours as he draws you towards the entrance.
“Ten minutes.” He promises you. “Ten minutes in my office is all I need.”

Lestrade x Teen!reader - just a little bit of trust
Tumblr media
Anyway maybe teen!reader gets into trouble a lot and Lestrade always deals with them so now if they get arrested again they always bring them to Lestrade (like the reader has become his kid or something like that) and Lestrade tells the reader off because you know stealing is bad - @panic-in-the-multiverse 💜
You thought you managed to escape, when you looked behind you the officer that was chasing you was gone, so you took this time to breathe.
Holding your bag to your chest, you leant against the wall, taking deep breaths, planning the route you were going to take him in your head.
“Stop!”
You spun around and there was the officer, not just him but he had backup.
You went to run but you were blocked in, he called for backup and now he managed to have you cornered and you cursed under your breath.
Dropping your bag, you put your head on the wall you were leaning on and put your arms behind your back knowing you weren’t getting away this time.
“You’re one hell of a runner I’ll give you that.” Someone said cuffing you.
“What can I say, I practice.” You smirked.
They put you in the back of a car and took your bag, going through it to find all the food you had stolen.
“So, can we get a name or we doing this the hard way?” An officer asked.
“Well, depends on what the hard way is.” You mused.
He rolled his eyes at you.
“Look, we just need your name so we can get in contact with your family.”
“Oh really? Well if you find them let me know cause I haven’t seen them in a while.”
He sighed and closed the door and you smirked to yourself, watching as he climbed into the drivers seat and took you to the station.
As you were being walked in you saw two familiar faces walking out, and they stopped when they saw you.
“Not again. He’s going to be pissed (Y/N).”
You shrugged a little, looking at Donovan.
“So? Not my issue is it.”
“Take them to detective inspector Lestrade, he knows how to handle them.”
“Wow, just ratting people out Anderson? That’s how you get in trouble you know.”
“Please you won’t do anything.”
“Won’t I? Maybe you should think twice before using your desk when you get back then.”
You were pushed away and you smirked to yourself as you watched him slightly panic about the thought of doing something to his desk.
No one paid much attention to you being escorted through the building, and you were stopped in front of the door you were too familiar with.
One of the two officers knocked on the door and waited for a reply before pushing it open.
He walked in first and you were pushed in and the door was closed.
“Hello.” You smiled innocently.
“Bloody hell…”
Lestrade sighed, setting his cup down he gestured for them to sit you down in a chair which they did and they set your bag on his desk, dumping all the contents.
They explained to him what happened and the entire time he was messaging his temples, trying not to let the stress get to him.
“Right, I’ll handle it thank you.”
They nodded and took the cuffs off and left the room with all the stole items while you just sat there acting innocent.
“So, (Y/N), want to tell me what happened?”
“I haven’t a clue inspector those things just appeared in my bag!” You dramatically said.
He rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair watching you.
You smirked just a tiny bit at his expression.
He was mad, you could easily see he was mad, but he was trying his best not to let his anger get the best of him as he spoke to you.
“Stealing? Really? What on earth made you think that was acceptable?”
“Hunger.” You shrugged.
He sighed, going through his desk he grabbed his lunch and handed it over to you, watching as you quickly started to eat.
“I’ve told you before, you’re more than welcome to stay with me (Y/N), I can give you food and clothes and money if you need it. I’m trying to help you here yet you seem so happy living the way you do.”
You shrugged a little.
“What is so special about living in an abandoned flat, shoplifting and getting in trouble every other week.”
You glanced up at him before looking back at the food, trying to decide what you wanted to eat next.
“Well, since I can’t go to school because I was kicked out, and the fact I can’t get a job, you know if you think about it makes sense.”
“(Y/N), there’s only so many times I can help you out, one day you will prosecuted for what you’ve been doing, is that what you really want?”
“Warm place? Bed? Food? Doesn’t sound too bad.”
He sighed, watching you for a moment.
He first encountered you nearly two years ago, you were so young to be on the streets doing what you were doing, you didn’t trust anyone, and you still didn’t.
He’d seen you go from just another teenager that was going to end up behind bars to realising you were just a kid trying to make it in the world, literally fighting for a chance to survive.
“You know it’s illegal, you know what’ll happen if you keep doing this. Shoplifting (Y/N), seriously? You can’t keep doing this to yourself, one day something will get you out behind bars, and I won’t be able to help you then.”
“Then stop trying to help if you already know it’s going to happen.” You snapped.
He sighed shaking his head.
“I’m trying to stop it from happening! But the way you’re going it’s out of my control, you’re on thin ice and one more mistake and that’s it you’re done for.”
“Doesn’t sound to bad to me.”
“It should! The fact that you don’t care about being in jail is disgraceful! Because you should, because once you’re there that’s it, there’s no taking that back and you’ll have ruined the rest of your life all because of one little screw up you could’ve prevented!”
Lestrade couldn’t hold it back any longer, he was furious with you, he was trying to help you out and the fact you just didn’t seem to care upset him.
You had so much ahead of you, and you just didn’t care about any of it, it seemed pointless to you.
You tossed his lunch back on the table.
“Then it’s gonna be great for you right? You won’t have to be running around after the screwup teenager. You can just go back to your life and enjoy it without having to clean up my mess. Because that’s all I am to you, right? Just another screwup teenager and it’s your job to pretend to care but really you don’t.”
You snatched your bag from him.
“Don’t worry, you won’t see me again, I’ll play by your crappy rules, and you won’t have to even think about saving a screwup again.”
“(Y/N)!”
You were gone before Lestrade could even stop you and he ran a hand down his face, kicking the bottom of his chair as he took a deep breath.
He shouldn’t have lost his temper with you, and he had to find you.
Grabbing his jacket, he went to leave but he was pulled over by his boss, and told about a case he had to go to before Sherlock got there.
He didn’t want to, but he couldn’t refuse an order so he had no choice but to focus on the case first, but the moment it ended he was going to find you.
True to your word, you hadn’t been seen for a few days, Lestrade had people out looking for you to make sure you were okay, but no one was able to catch wind of you.
He was distracted the whole case, and the moment it was done he rushed away from work to take to the streets in order to find you.
He searched all your usual hang out spots first, not finding you in any of them, he made his way to the abandoned flat complex and parked outside, looking at the old and empty building, threatening to collapse on itself at any moment.
He grabbed the photo of you and got out his car, walking over to the steps he crouched in front of a man.
“Have you seen this person?”
The man looked at the photo and shook his head.
Sighing, Lestrade carefully walked in, mindful of all the rubble and trip hazards he kept trying.
Going from floor to floor, checking all of the rooms and asking if anyone had seen you.
He was nearing the top of the building now, and it was getting more and more dangerous, the stairs creaked under his weight, and he could hear things falling.
“(Y/N)?” He called softly.
He reached the top of the stairs, carefully stepping around a giant hole in the ground.
“(Y/N)!”
A head poked out form a doorway.
“You looking for (Y/N)?”
“You’ve seen them?”
The young woman nodded her head and stood up, gesturing for him to follow her so he did, letting her lead him to the back of the building where the floor was completely gone, in its place a single plank of wood going across.
“That’s where they live, don’t know if they’re in or not I’ve not seen them, but be carefully that plank is on its way out.”
“Thank you.”
Lestrade felt bad, so he pulled out some money to her and handed it over, thanking her for her help and looked at the plank.
“(Y/N)?”
“Piss off.”
He sighed.
“Come on, I just want to talk, can you come out?”
You scoffed and he sighed.
“Fine, I’m coming across then.”
He stepped on the plank and it cracked a little bit.
“Its not designed for your weight, it’s old and can only handle mine just barely, so don’t even bother unless you want to fall three floors.”
He stepped back and thought about what he was going to do.
He didn’t have much choice, he had to cross it, so he stepped on it again and slowly shuffled his way across, praying that it would hold.
You turned around and watched him for a split second before you quickly got up and rushed over, grabbing his arm you yanked him across and let him fall on the floor.
“Jesus Christ are you stupid?” You hissed.
“I had to talk to you.”
“And you can’t get the hint I don’t want to talk to you? I haven’t been arrested so why are you here?”
Lestrade sat up and watched as you walked over, sitting on a blanket.
“Because I was worried about you, okay? I’m sorry I snapped at you, I shouldn’t have but I’m just so worried about you (Y/N). You’re not some screwup kid okay? You’re not, if… if anything I see you as my kid, I want you to be safe, I want you to have a full life because I know you can.”
You scoffed a little.
“Yes, me, my dusty as hell blanket and George can have a full life why didn’t I think of that.”
“George?”
“He’s the mouse that lives on this floor, he’s pretty chill.” You shrugged.
Lestrade grimaced a little at the thought of there being a mouse somewhere up here.
“I know you don’t trust anyone anymore (Y/N), but after dealing with you for nearly two years you’ve really grown on me. I want to help you okay? I want to help you and keep you safe, but you have to trust that.”
Lestrade got up and walked over, crouching in front of you he held out a hand.
“Can you do that? Can you trust me, even just a little bit. Can you trust me enough to give you a safe home, food, shelter?”
You looked up at him.
“Why?”
“Because I want to help you.”
“They’ll just take me away eventually.”
“I’ll do whatever I have to okay? I’ll adopt you if that’s what I need to do, but I promise you now no one is going to take you away.”
He smiled softly and gestured to his hand.
“Just a small bit of trust is all I’m asking for.”
You looked at the ruined flat, and looked back at him, the man who had basically been your non official caretaker for the better of two years.
The man who had been offering you help for as long as you could remember, who had always been there to talk to you and give you food and money when you needed it.
This man had been more of a dad to you than your own father had.
So you reached out and took his hand.
“Okay…”
“Okay?” He asked.
“Okay.”
He helped you up and helped you gather your few belongings and followed you as you led him out of the building.
Lestrade couldn’t see the wide smile on your face.
He was relieved, he was filled with joy as the thought hit him that you trusted him, and you were now his kid, his responsibility and he was going to help you get everything back on track

Here’s day 8 of Housevember22!
Fandoms: House MD, Sherlock
Pairings: Gregory House x James Wilson, Sherlock Holmes x John Watson
Characters: Gregory House, James Wilson, Sherlock Holmes, John Watson.
November 8th: Crossover
Wilson was woken in the middle of the night by a loud thud. He shot up in bed, looking around for the source of the sound.
”Did you hear that?” He asked his boyfriend who was asleep next to him. House grunted in reply. Another load thud followed by a man shouting could be heard causing House to sit up as well.
”I heard that,” he commented.
”Sounds like it’s the new neighbours,” Wilson grumbled, laying back down and pulling a pillow over his head. They heard yet another thud, “For God’s sake!” Wilson shouted, voice muffled by the pillow.
”Go tell them to quiet down if they’re bothering you that much,” House said.
”You go tell them,” Wilson countered.
”No, I want to work out what it is they’re doing first,” House replied, getting out of bed, “if they’re having sex then they can continue as long as I get to listen,” he headed through to the lounge and Wilson rolled his eyes before deciding to join him.
”Are you seriously going to put a glass against their door like a cartoon character?” Wilson asked as House grabbed two glasses out of the cabinets.
“No,” he said, “we are,” he handed Wilson a glass and quietly opened the front door, wandering over to their neighbours apartment, they placed the glasses against the door and held their ears up to them.
————
“Will you stop doing that!” John shouted as Sherlock launched yet another bottle rocket across the apartment.
”I’m bored,” The taller man replied, “It’s bad enough that Lestrade talked us into this in the first place but he wouldn’t even let me bring my jar of eyeballs with me. How am I supposed to experiment on eyeballs without said eyeballs?”
”How about you go to bed because it’s two in the morning!” John yelled.
”Sleep is boring,” Sherlock said.
”You think everything’s boring,” John grumbled before sighing, “look, just come to bed Sherlock, I’m tired,” John sounded defeated. Sherlock looked up at him from the next rocket he was assembling and took pity on his lover.
”Fine,” he replied, standing up and heading over to John.
”Thank you,” John said as Sherlock got to him. The taller man leant down and gave John a kiss, they headed over to the bedroom but Sherlock put an arm out and stopped John in his tracks.
————
“Sounds like they’re going to bed now,” Wilson whispered, “how about we go do the same?”
”The guy said he experiments on eyeballs, does that not interest you in the slightest?” House questioned.
”After knowing you as long as I have? No,” Wilson replied, “Now lets go to be-“ he was cut off as the door flung open, House and Wilson stepped back in surprise, almost tripping over each other in the process.
”Who are you?” Sherlock asked.
”I’m James, this is Greg, we live across the hall from you guys,” Wilson said.
”And do you make it a habit of listening in on all your neighbours conversations in the middle of the night or are we just special?” John asked.
“We were- er,” Wilson tried to come up with an answer when House cut it.
”What experiments were you planning on doing with eyeballs?” He questioned. Sherlock seemed taken aback by the question.
”Why do you want to know?” He queried.
”Curiosity really,” House replied. Sherlock looked him over before answering.
”I wanted to see the effect that different liquids have on decomposition, a man’s albi depends on it but they’re back in London whereas I’m here,” Sherlock explained.
”Are you a cop?” House asked.
”Consulting detective,” he replied, “the only one in the world.”
”Wait you invented a job just for you?”
“Yes, the police come to me when they can’t solve a case and I solve it for them,” Sherlock told him.
”That’s basically what I do but with medical mysteries,” House said, “Greg House,” he reached his hand out and Sherlock took it, “I’m the man who can get you some eyeballs.”
”Sherlock Holmes,” he replied, “How can you do that?”
”I work in a hospital, eyeballs get misplaced more often than you’d think,” House said.
”I’ve also been experimenting with the effect that maggots have on skin that has been sprayed with different types of perfume, got a dead woman who I’m sure has been dead for longer than the coroner’s say but they don’t take into consideration that the perfume she was wearing had been repelling maggots for the first few days of her death, thus slowing down decomposition,” Sherlock explained, “do you want to come see?”
”Of course,” House replied and the two men rushed into the apartment leaving their boyfriends standing in the hallway.
”What just happened?” Wilson asked.
”I’m not sure, but if your partner is as much like Sherlock as he seem to be then I don’t trust them alone in there,” John answered, walking into his apartment.
”Good call,” Wilson said, following the smaller man.
————
“Oh wow they are a sucker for that one,” House said, looking into a plastic container full of maggots and rotting flesh.
”They are,” Sherlock agreed, “and just like I thought, the one with the perfume my victim was wearing has barely been touched.”
”Which means they could have easily died a couple of days earlier if she was wearing enough of that perfume, maggots are a big part of decomposition,” House added.
”She practically bathed in it,” Sherlock said, “even with the smell of rotting flesh there was still a hint of perfume.”
”This is incredible, this could change the way police deal with murders in the future,” House said, incredulously.
”I know,” Sherlock smirked, “I have a tendency to do that, you should check out my blog ‘the science of deduction’.”
”Wait, that’s your blog?” House asked, “I’ve been following your work for years,” the two men continued to discuss some of the experiments Sherlock had performed as John and Wilson sat on the couch drinking beer.
”They’re like children at Christmas,” Wilson commented.
”Well Sherlock likes to show off so when he meets someone who actually enjoys that then he gets excited,” John said.
”Yeah, House doesn’t often meet people as smart as him,” Wilson told him, “to him everybody else are idiots.”
”They are practically the same person,” John chuckled.
”I can see this going badly,” Wilson said looking over at the two men in the kitchen.
————
“I’m going over to Sherlock’s tonight so don’t wait up for me,” House told Wilson as he popped his head into his office.
”Ok,” Wilson replied, an eyebrow raised.
”I managed to get those eyeballs he wanted,” House said, holding up the jar and grinning like a child.
”I’m not even going to ask,” Wilson commented, looking down at his paperwork.
”Good,” House replied, “bye love you!” He called out in a sing song voice before shutting the door.
————
Wilson was startled when he heard knocking on the door to the apartment he and House shared. He got up off the couch and opened the door to see John standing there.
”He got on your nerves already?” He asked.
”One of them is bad enough but two is a nightmare,” John replied.
”Come in then,” Wilson said, holding the door open for the other man.
“Thanks,” John said as he walked in.
”I was just about to put on a movie and order pizza if you want something?”
”Sure, sounds good,” John commented, “We should probably get some for those two, Sherlock wouldn’t eat if I didn’t force him too.”
”Yeah and House wouldn’t eat if it wasn’t something from off my plate,” Wilson chuckled.
The two men ordered pizza and sat in front of a movie once it had arrived. As the film was near to ending they heard a loud bang.
“Oh for fuck’s sake,” John muttered as the two men rushed to the apartment next door. The stepped through the door and found House extinguishing a small fire in the kitchen as Sherlock was stamping on a blanket on the floor, presumably covering a fire that had started on the carpet.
”What the hell is going on!” John yelled and the two men looked over to their boyfriends.
”Nothing,” they said in unison.
”It doesn’t really look like nothing!” Wilson exclaimed.
”Science experiment gone wrong,” House said, “no biggie.”
”No biggie? The carpet was on fire!” John shouted.
”I put it out,” Sherlock replied.
”You’re both idiots,” John muttered, “and the play date is over, sorry Greg you’re going to have to go home, I’m going to bed,” John walked off to the bedroom and House limped over towards Wilson.
”It wasn’t my fault dad,” he said sarcastically to his partner as they left and went home.
————
Wilson awoke the next morning to voices in the apartment, he got out of bed, noticing that House had gotten up suspiciously early. He wandered out of the room and towards the lounge.
“So that’s why you’re in America?” He heard House ask.
”Yep,” he could here Sherlock’s voice before he saw them, the two men were looking out of the window.
“What are you doing?” He asked.
”Our neighbours next door have been sent here to spy on our neighbours across the road,” House said, neither of them looking away front the window.
”They have been linked to a group of assassins based in London, there’s a whole network of them around the world, and that apartment across the street is holding their New Jersey connection,” Sherlock explained, “they’re planning an assassination attempt on a British politician, I don’t care much for the man but they seem to be able to kill without leaving a trace.”
”You mean to tell me that we’ve been living across the street from assassins this whole time?” Wilson asked.
”They only moved in about a month ago,” Sherlock answered.
”Oh great, that makes all the difference,” Wilson commented, sarcastically.
”They’ve left,” House said suddenly.
”Great, let’s go grab John and check it out,” Sherlock told him and the two men headed to leave.
”Are you going to break in there?” Wilson asked.
”Will you try to stop us if we are?” House retorted.
”let me get dressed,” Wilson sighed and minutes later they were in Sherlock and John’s apartment.
“The heat sensor show’s that there’s no one in the apartment,” John told them.
”Good, let’s go,” Sherlock said and the four headed across the road.
————
“C’mon guys, we’ve been here for half an hour now and haven’t found anything,” Wilson said, looking through the blinds for the one hundredth time.
”It wouldn’t be obvious,” Sherlock replied, “it would be hidden somewhere that no one would think to look.”
“It would also be somewhere close to them,” House commented, “by the state of the couches this is where they spend most of their time.”
”There’s a rug under this coffee table, maybe something’s hidden under there,” John suggested, “here come help me move this,” Wilson came over and helped the smaller man.
“It won’t be there,” Sherlock said, searching the bookcases.
”Why not?” John asked, he pulled back the rug and saw there were no loose floor boards or secret compartments.
”Because, it’s here,” Sherlock replied, pulling out a book, he opened it and pulled out a small glass vial, tossing it to House “the rest of these books are old and worn, they were brought at garage sales and thrift stores for display purposes only, this ones brand new, it’s an expensive hardback book unlike the others, a hardback would be more protective than the rest.”
”Furanyl fentanyl,” House read off the bottle, “this drug doesn’t even need to be injested to kill you, just a small amount on the skin can cause someone to die.”
”So we’ve found the murder weapon,” John commented. Taking the bottle from House’s hand and looking at it.
”Um guys, I think we have a problem,” Wilson said, the other three men looked over to him, then over to the doorway that he was looking at. Three men stood there, watching them.
”I was going to say this isn’t what it looks like, but it’s actually exactly what it looks like,” Sherlock said.
————
“They’re going to kill us,” Wilson said, looking at the other three men who were tied up next to him.
”That is what assassins do Wilson,” House replied.
”Relax, they’re not going to kill us,” Sherlock stated.
”And how do you know that?” John asked, “they could come back in the room at any moment and kill us,” Sherlock was about to answer when the room was filled with blue flashing lights.
“How the hell?” Wilson questioned.
”Homeless network,” Sherlock replied, “when we got here I got accustomed with the local homeless population, they rotate outside our apartment building, they knew to call the police if I came in here and didn’t come out.”
”God I love you,” John said to him as police rushed into the building.
————
Wilson and House awoke the next morning to loud noises outside their front door. They headed out to go see what it was and saw John and Sherlock loading boxes into a van.
”Leaving already?” Wilson asked.
”Yeah, we were only here for this one case, so now we’re heading back to London,” Sherlock replied.
”That’s a shame, we’ve never had such interesting neighbours,” House stated causing the other two men to smirk.
“We’ll have to keep in touch,” John said, “maybe you guys could come and visit London at some point.”
”Definitely,” Wilson replied, “would be inhumane to deny House of another play date,” the four men all laughed before saying their goodbyes to each other, swapping numbers and making promises to meet up again.

~ Will you still love me? ~
On the Phone
-Any plans for the friday?
-Nothing that can´t be fix. Should I schedule an appointment?
-I think a date would be more appropiate
-…
-Mycroft?
-Are you asking me out Detective Inspector?
-The hell I am
-In that case I think something can be arranged then- he said with a shy smile on his lips
On Friday
It was mid July and London nights were hotter than ever. Mycroft was wearing his most casual attire possible, he had agreed to meet Greg in a restaurant who he reserved just for speacial ocassions. The manager had reserved the roof section for him and his companion alone. As usual he was the first to arrived to the place and took the chance to contemplate the city, no so far the London eye could be with it’s shinning bright lights..
-Hey there- Greg’s voiced made Mycroft turn around and when he saw Gregory in fron of him, he was breathless, his spiky gray hair contrasted with his tanned skin, he was wearing a plain t-shirt, red wine leather jacket, dark jeans and sneakers -Looking good- he said admiring Mycrofts outfit which consisted of an ivory button up with the first buttons loose and rolled sleeve, accompanied by a pair of light blue pants and camel oxfords.
It had been long since Mycroft had gone on a date with someone, mainly because of his hectic schedule but also because relationship with other humans were something that he found terrifying, but Gregory was always good company.
-I think I still haven´t thank you for helping me choose my suit for John’s wedding.
-Oh, that.. It was nothing.
-I wouldn´t say it that way- he answer him placing his hand in his lower back and walking him to the table in the center of the rooftop, both of them took their seats and started looking at the menu, the restaurant had some french dishes. After ordering their plates Mycroft could feel the intense stare of Gregory on him.
-Is anything the matter?
-You have pretty eyes, the shine bright like diamonds.
-I don´t know how should I reply to that
-A smile will do- Mycroft stare back at him blank expression in his face, he wanted to show Gregory his caring side but…
-It’s been a while, you should know that
-Since your last smile?
-Since my last date
-Well I don´t do casual, this won´t be a one time thing.
In that moment his waiter arrived with their food and served the wine in their glasses, the food was delicious and they both enjoyed it but when it came to Gregory the idea to order some creme brulee Mycrofts insecurities came to the surface and even though words were not said Greg noticed his change in his body lenguage.
All of his life Mycroft had always had a sweet tooth and even if he restrained himself a lot more than before gaining weight was something that he always found himself struggling with.
-I don´t know if I should.
-A small bite won´t make you loose your fantastic figure- this time Mycroft actually blushed. Maybe one bite woudn´t be that bad. To his great surprise Greg cut a little piece and offer to feed him and even though it was a little embarrasing he still accepted it.
-It’s quite hard for me to understand what made you aks me out
-That’s a very simple question Mycroft Holmes- he said puting the spoon down freeing his hands, he moved his chair sitting closer from the other man- Aren´t you enjoying yourself? I certainly am, I like you, you are sensitive, analitical, intelligent but most of all you are caring even beneath all those layers you have.
As mundane as it sounded it was an honest reply and Mycroft thanked for it more than any other meaningless fancy words Greg could have used instead.
-I have nothing to offer but my being but if you give me a chance to be with you, to share precious moments together, to create memories in new places I will dedicate to myself entirely to you until you get bored of me.
-Oh Gregory I don´t think that would ever be possible- he said laying down to kiss Greg softly in the lips.

Caring is the Greatest Advantage- Mycroft Holmes x Reader (Part Seventeen) SMUT
A/N- Honestly this is about three thousand words of utter filth.. Expect the next chapter to have similar themes- but I mainly wrote this one as a filler for the next one.. I may also have lied about only having two chapters left and I am going to try and round it to a nice twenty.. Enjoy, perverts!
Word Count- 3.1K
Tumblr media
Saturday had been spent, much like a majority of your previous days, in a bout of sheer laziness and relaxation- the after effects of the whiskey and abundance of greasy takeaway having taken its toll when morning arose.
"I'm too old to spend a whole night on the sofa." You groaned, stretching out your arms and peeking through slitted eyes.
"You're too old? At least you were laying down- my back is going to severely regret this." Mycroft's voice was muffled with sleep, but his hand squeezed fondly where it rested on your shoulder. "Forty two years old and I couldn't control my whiskey intake enough to take us to bed before the exhaustion hit- mildly humiliating."
"Well it's officially your birthday weekend, so you're not allowed to feel embarrassed or be grumpy." Sitting up from your position of laying in Mycroft's lap, you leant over to give him a quick kiss to his jaw.
"There's truly no need for such extensive celebrations. It's terrible enough that I am a day away from being a year closer to fifty, let alone seeking joy in such a fact." As Mycroft sat up, you heard the bones of his shoulders and lower back click in protest of his movements. "Though with a reaction like that, I'm feeling far closer to eighty than I would like."
"In that case, you make for a very handsome pensioner. I daren't put you in a home- the old biddies will be all over you and I fear I may end up punching somebody's Nan."
"Jealousy truly that intact that you'd seek violence against the frail?"
"Mycroft, a part of me is jealous of your clothes for getting to hang off you all day; the Grannies wouldn't stand a chance." His chuckle sounded low in his chest and you grinned. "Though part of me thinks you'd enjoy it.. Breakfast?" Mycroft made a heavy noise in protest and shook his head.
"I feel as though I ate so much last night that I should never feel hungry again. I'm not entirely convinced that I am able to move from this sofa for it. What is the time, anyway?" Mycroft's eyes squinted towards the clock on the fireplace but to no avail.
"Almost nine. You know, you should really consider wearing your glasses more." The man scoffed. "What? Didn't think I'd noticed them practically gathering dust on your bedside table?"
"Ridiculous. I needn't wear them- the optometrist stated that they need only be worn when absolutely necessary."
"Was that before or after you belittled their knowledge and decided you knew better?" You raised an eyebrow.
"I.. It was in regard for work. They were never too keen on allowing anybody to broaden to legwork if there was any means of.. weakness." He explained, though it was a poor, near on twenty year old, excuse that you saw through immediately.
"Fine. That explains your appointment when you were twenty odd- but there's no way there aren't still government issued annual check ups, even though 'leg work' days are behind you."
"Perhaps.. Even still- I merely just need a moment to awaken properly and then it'll be fine. A shower should do it- and my aching bones." Then, he smiled a little deviously and added. "Care to accompany me?" You smirked back but couldn't help your following line.
"Why? Need a guide to find the shower?" He moved to flick your forehead but you stood before he could reach, holding out both of your hands and hoisting him off the chair. "Kidding. I'd never say no to seeing you naked." Mycroft flushed at your words, despite being the instigator, and followed you up the stairs to the en suite bathroom.
---
The hot water cascading down your skin was more than welcomed by your aching muscles from your kip on the sofa- and if the content look spread over Mycroft's face was anything to go by, you'd wager he was equally enjoying the sensation. You ran the tips of your fingers over his bare shoulders, squeezing and applying pressure here and there where the muscles had felt tight. He hummed appreciatively, his eyes remaining closed as he focused his attention on the feeling of your hands on his skin paired gorgeously with the heat of the water trailing down his back.
"Mm, you shouldn't do that. You'll raise my expectations for any further showers we have." His voice was low, almost raspy, and it caught you a little off guard.
"Keep talking in that voice and I promise I'll do it every shower for as long as we both live." You responded, moving to grab a handful of showergel before continuing your administrations. You moved to stand behind him, hands trailing from his shoulders, down his back and rounding back to circle the tight muscles around his neck- a trail of suds running down his body and circling the drain below. Mycroft could feel your fingers tracing the outlines of old scars, gliding over his hips where he had once felt so insecure over the small amounts of loose skin that clung to the bone, and circling back round to his chest where your digits ran soapily through his chest hair- your voice muttering in his ear how you adore his ginger streaks that he had spent so much of his life hiding. If actions like these were your intentions when you stated the need to celebrate his birthday for the whole weekend, Mycroft found himself feeling more willing to follow through with it all. "What are you thinking about in that pretty little head of yours?" You spoke with a grin, your hands now weaving shampoo through his hair- the strong smell of lavender and eucalyptus filling the air.
"Lucky." Was the only word Mycroft could find his brain summoning, any other chance of pulling words from his brain diminished as you massaged his ear lobes in the midst of rinsing the white foam from his head. You smiled and let your fingers run down his jawline, stroking fondly at the small amount of facial hair that you had grown to love so much- and would miss dearly when it was once again removed for work.
"Lucky, eh? Didn't think that luck and fate within the stars was really your bag, Mr Holmes." You spoke teasingly. "Dare I say that I cloud your usual means of judgement? Should I be honoured?" You let your hands drop, fingertips skimming the skin of Mycroft's thigh and trailing slowly inwards.
"Dangerous." His eyes opened now, blue meeting E/C, pupils a little larger than usual. "I fear I lose a good ninety five percent of my usually extensive vocabulary around you." Mycroft's breath hitched in his throat as he felt your hand wrap around his quickly growing length, tugging slowly, tormentingly slowly.
"Only ninety five? Well that's no good. Let's see if I can up it to one hundred." And with that, you quickly pressed your lips against his before dropping to your knees. Mycroft hissed as he leaned backwards, the warm skin of his back colliding with the bitingly cold tile of the shower. Wasting no time, you poked out the tip of your tongue and trailed it teasingly along the underside of his cock, relishing in the breathy moan that sounded above you. You feathered small kisses from base to tip before taking the head into your mouth, sucking slowly and circling your tongue around the sensitive skin.
"P-Please.." His voice was quiet but the begging undertones didn't go unmissed. Electing to oblige to the wishes of the man on his birthday weekend, you began to bob your head, taking him in inch by inch and humming around the shaft as you went. "Oh, God.." You pulled away momentarily, a grin on your face.
"We might have reached a good ninety eight percent now, but I aimed for one hundred and I'm a girl of my word." Shifting around more comfortably, you reached for Mycroft's hands that had been bunched in fists at his side, moving them to rest clutching at your hair. "I'm all for you, Myc. Just take it." You parted your lips slightly and glanced up expectantly at Mycroft who looked about ready to collapse.
"I- Are you-?" Rather than answering his unfinished question with words, you nosed along the thick shaft of his cock, licking lovingly at the veins pulsating at the sides and Mycroft groaned, his head rolling back to lay against the tiles as he fed you his length. He moved slowly, holding himself back, and stopping when he met resistance; making a move to pull back out but you quickly moved your hands around him and squeezed onto the gorgeous globes of his arse, encouraging him in deeper until your nose met with a light bristle of pubic hair. You sucked once, hard and long, guiding Mycroft out slowly and showing him how pleasurable this could be if he lets himself loose for a moment. His moans echoed off the tile, deeper than any you'd heard from him before and it only spurred you on, picking up the pace with your hands firmly planted on his backside until you felt the hands in your hair tighten and begin to guide you himself. He moved slowly at first, pushing in as far as he could before edging back with your lips around his tip, teasing himself with the light motions. Squeezing at his thigh softly, you signalled a moment to catch your breath- pulling from the swollen pink head of his cock with an audible 'pop', and wiping away the small lines of pre-cum that began to dribble from the sides of your mouth.
"Good?" You smirked, your hand picking up the administrations of a mixture between slow, long tugs and quicker jerks of your wrist that had Mycroft debating the strength that remained in his legs.
"Mmmmm." His only response was the low hum, his eyes now open but staring up at the ceiling, his lips parted as small gasps of breath left them.
"I think I've successfully achieved making you forget a hundred percent of your vocabulary, wouldn't you agree?" Another hum. "Still, it'd be a shame not to finish up. Better get to it, eh?" You grinned, licking a line with your flattened tongue from base to hilt before giving control back to Mycroft and moaning against every snap of his hips to your mouth. It didn't take long before they began to be on the verge of erratic and the noises that had begun to escape out of Mycroft's mouth were nothing less than pure filth. He let out shaky, heavy breaths that were repeatedly cut off by a low moan that sounded from the back of his throat; paired with shaking legs and hands that tightened in your hair to keep you still while he regained his composure. As the volume of his noises increased, mixed with a variety of curses and shudders of your name, you felt yourself throbbing. With Mycroft doing the work, you trailed your hands teasingly down your chest, pinching at your nipples harshly before dragging your nails further down your skin until you reached your aching clit, letting out a guttural moan as your fingers traced circles over the bundle of nerves while your other hand pressed two fingers into your waiting hole. Melting under the sounds and vibrations of your voice, Mycroft found himself curious and tore his eyes from the ceiling to dare glance down at you. Christ alive.
"Oh.. fuck." Hearing Mycroft swear was possibly one of your more unconventional turn-ons, but you let it spur you on nonetheless. Mycroft could barely stand it. His eyes had widened doubly as he looked down to you, the sight of his hard cock being taken in by your plump, overworked lips being an image that Mycroft would have burned in his memory for the rest of his days- part of him had even extended to wishing he could capture the moment physically on a camera and the mere thought of that was almost enough to push him over the edge. But what did it was his eyes trailing down to your hands, watching you work yourself, getting off to nothing but the mere action of pleasuring Mycroft- your mind focusing so intently on making sure Mycroft felt incredible that you didn't even contemplate the idea of him needing to reciprocate anything, purely enjoying the fact that you were bringing Mycroft closer and closer to the edge with every little hum, or small trace of your tongue, and it was too much for him to handle. Mycroft's hips began to thrust clumsily as he felt the knot in his stomach tighten, finding himself unable to blink for not wanting to miss even a split second of watching you in this very moment. You had felt your own build up getting closer and closer until you shuddered beneath your hand and let out an almost animalistic groan as you came against your fingers. The vibrations and witnessing of those final moments of your pleasure were the final straw for Mycroft as he reached his release, hips snapping one last time and the hands in your hair holding you against him, cumming down your throat in harsh stripes that you eagerly swallowed. His grip loosened and you slowly sucked him to completion, pulling your lips away from him with a trace of your tongue that left Mycroft shivering from the sensitivity.
It was only in this moment that the pair of you realised the water had begun to run cold, but the chill against the burning of your skin was gratefully welcomed as Mycroft pulled you from your feet and gathered you in his arms, his lips moving hungrily against yours. One hand dug fingers into your hips and the other ventured cheekily round to squeeze at your arse firmly, just once, before he pulled away, leaving just your foreheads against each other as you breathed in each other's air.
"Early birthday celebrations don't seem so bad now then, huh?" You spoke teasingly, your breaths becoming lighter as your lungs finally caught up and Mycroft laughed gorgeously- his eyes squinting and his nose crinkling in such a way that made you adore him impossibly more in that moment.
"I'm marginally disappointed it didn't spread to the entire week." You both laughed again and stood happily like this for a few moments more, until the cold of the shower left goosebumps against your skin and you needed to get out. Mycroft wrapped you lovingly in a large, plush towel that had warmed against the radiator in the bathroom and you accepted the warmth gratefully before heading back into the bedroom to find some clothes.
"Would I be pushing it if I requested we wear comfortable clothes for our last two days? Reckon you can forgo the suits?" You asked, almost pleadingly, when you saw Mycroft emerge from the bathroom wearing his dressing gown.
"I suppose if you are truly in charge of these early.. celebrations.. then it is only fair that I let you choose our attire, is it not?"
"Well if I had it my way of choosing the attire, then you would be wearing nothing at all for the entire weekend." You spoke, edging your way towards him and relishing in the darker dusting of pink that covered his cheeks and spread to his neck. "All of that, and my little comments can still make you blush? I think you're making me fall in love with you a little more each moment that passes, Mr Holmes. A dangerous road to go down- you'll find yourself smuggling me into your office in your briefcase soon." Leaning in, you dared place a few kisses down the side of his beautifully long neck before grinning against the skin and muttering, "or under your desk." Feeling him swallow harshly, you couldn't help but let out a laugh and walk away to get your clothes- leaving a blushing Mycroft once again lost for words and fighting every impulse to let himself imagine the scenario you had just laid out.
---
After the pair of you had got dressed- you electing for the overly casual loungewear of a pair of leggings and a stolen jumper from Myc's wardrobe, and him in a slightly more casual pair of cord trousers and cotton shirt- you quickly headed over to the bedside table before you could head downstairs.
"Now, if I'm truly in control of the weekend, down to the very clothing that we wear, I have an insistence for something.." You walked towards the elder Holmes and stood on your tiptoes, laying his pair of round, tortoise-shell glasses against the bridge of his nose. "That's better." Mycroft's nose crinkled in disapproval and he wandered over to the dressing table to glance at himself in the mirror.
"Truly, I don't think this is necessary."
"Why? Just realised that I'm actually really ugly and now you're regretting everything?" You joked, following him and leaning up to rest your head against his shoulder as he glared unhappily at his reflection.
"Never. I just.." He sighed and shook his head. "Nevermind."
"What?"
"No, it's nothing. Just a ridiculous thought of vanity."
"With a face like yours, I don't think there would be anything ridiculous about you being a bit vain."
"It's just.. I feel wearing the glasses makes me feel.. As old as I am." His gaze left yours in the reflection and he coughed from awkwardness, taking the glasses off his face and laying them back on the table. "I don't mind so much of a night if I am reading, but throughout the day I feel as though they age me."
"Myc, you're literally in your early forties but you make it out like you're ancient." You dropped from your position against his shoulder to stand in front of him and put the glasses back on. "You're aware though that it isn't only older people that wear glasses? One of my cousins wears glasses and she's only fourteen- she certainly doesn't look like an old lady for it." You laughed and pressed a kiss against his lips that had formed into a little pout. "Besides, I think you look good in them. Really good. Like a sexy professor- all you need is a tweed jacket with elbow patches." Mycroft barked out a laugh and shook his head.
"I have three."
"Of course you do. Right, come on, I have a relaxing day of your favourite classics on the telly, a walk through the park, and a fair few more instances of you without your clothes on planned.”

Teen Greg x Teen reader
Warnings:Swearing
Blue writing is Greg's thoughts, when they are italics it's your memories and when they are italics and blue then it's what Greg thought but you don't know and when it's italics and pink writing then it's your thoughts in your memories.
You were a 16 years old girl. School was soooooo boring. Now your least favourite lesson. P. E. You hated the subject more than anything. Simple. The professor did not like you. Mr Louis Milestone. Every time you had P.E. he would always force her to do whatever the orher girls do. And afterwords your grades in his subject would always be B. Even if you wanted to watch the boys play football. The main reason was to see that ONE boy. That boy you fancied in a very long time. Well fancied isn't exactly the right way to put it. You liked him. You really did. Maybe even loved him. But you keep on believe that you are too young to be in love. The one and only Gregory Lestrade. The cutest, hottest, smartest and the most handome boy in your class. Needless to say you never talked to him. He was the sporty guy and you were the shy, little girl who always got an A in every subject except.... P.E. He was the leader of the football team at your school and you were the nerb of the class, too boring, too "smart" and too stupid to have friends.
"Ms L/N stop watching the boys and go play with the rest of the girls." Mr Milestone said. "But mr Milestone I want too watch the boys play football." you complained. "I do not care Ms L/N. Now go. Play. With. The. Rest. Of. The. Girls." he said and turned to leave. You did as he said. God you hated him. How dare he sent you away like that. You thought to yourself.
Time skip
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Now that P.E. is over you have Language. You really liked this subject but. There is this little detail. Greg. Was. Sitting. In. The. Same. Desk. As. You. And that made you really nervous.
In the class
Greg hadn't come get. Tha lesson had started. "So kids tell did you do your home work?" the teacher Ms Sarah Jacobs said. Knock Knock there were a knock on the door. "Come in" Ms Jacobs called out. "Good morning Ms Jacobs." said the one and only Greg Lestrade. His head bowed. "Good morning mr Lestrade. Care to explain why you delayed." she asked a little irritated. "Well... uhhhhh... I was... uhhhh...talking to the headmaster he can asure you for that. I am sorry I was late."he pursed his lips and bowed his head again." Very well Greg take your sit. And he did as she asked. You took a deep breath and swallowed hard. "Hi." he said. Was he talking to you? You asked yourself. "H-hi."you said. The lesson passed rather slow.
Break time
You were sat on your favourite bench reading your book. That was until he came. "Hi. Y/N isn't it?"he asked. "Y-yes." you replied. "Can I ask you a question Y/N?" he whispered. You nodded. "Why do you want to watch us play football that much?" "Uhhhhhh.... Well... I uhhh.. I just... like it." you liked. "Mhm. What if I tell you I might can convince mr Milestone to let you watch." he said. "Re-really?" you asked shocked. "Mhmmm only with one condition." he said. "And... What would.... That be??..." you asked a little worried of what he might ask. "I want something." "What?" "You" you were shocked and so was Greg. "I... Uhhh mean your help with homework." he said and you tried to understand what he said because the worda left his mouth too fast. "Ohhh... Yeah sure. Which subject?" you asked still taken aback from what he said earlier. "Science. I got an F and my mother almost killed me. She was really furious." he admited. "You got to help me Y/N. Please. She said she is going to stop me from the football practice." he pleaded you. "Ok Greg. I'll help you." you told him. "Really?" he asked and you nodded. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" he chirped and gave you a huge hug and kissed you on the cheek. He pulled back and he was a bit red. Just like you were. "Uhhh well thank you." "Your... Welcome." with that he left.
Time skip
You are at home, sat on the couch on your phone. Your dad was watching the match. Your mum was in the kitchen baking a cake. Your 2 idiot of brothers (Who were both older than you) where in their room. Most likely fighting again. You had inform your family that there was a boy from your class coming by to help him with some home work. Your dad looked at you with deadly eyes. Your mother told you that he could come only if you were sitting in the kitchen and you agreed. And your brothers being the idiots they were started to act like a couple in frint of your parents. Pretend to kiss, to hug and many other shit like this.
20 minutes later
The bell rang and your Mother opened the door. "Uhhhh.. Ehhhmm... Hello Mrs L/N. Y/N is helping me with some home work" he told her a bit nervous. "Yes of course come in, come in dear. What is your name?" she asked him. "Uhhhmmm Greg madam." he answered "Ohhh please call me Scarlett or Mrs L/N whatever you like." she trailed of. "As you wish Mrs L/N ." he smiled at her. "So are you and Y/N?......" Greg's eyes almost popped out of his head. "N-no! Nothing like that. We are just... friends... We are in the same class."he answered her question not sure if the word 'friends' were the right one. You knew that Greg wasn't talking to you. What you didn't know was that the reason was that..... He liked you too. Very much. So much that he was getting nervous when he talked to you. He didn't know why. That was until the day you bumped into him accidentaly.
Your day started awful and never changed. First your favourite white T-shirt has been destroyed because your mother washed it along with colourful clothes. The you lost the bus. Perfect. Fucking perfect. First week, forth day in high school and I will late. You thought to yourself. You had to ran now. That's what you did. You were running so fast that you didn't have time to stop when you noticed the handsome boy from your class. Greg. So you bumped into him. "Oh my God! I am so so so so so sorry. I didn't mean to. I really am-" you stopped mid-sentence. That's when you looked into them. Those whiskey-chocolate brown eyes you loved more than anything. "Sorry" you whispered. "I-It's...Fine. Really. Fine." he said,he whispered the last part. "Did-did I hurt you?" you asked still mesmerised by his eyes. "N-no!" Why am I stuttering? Greg wonderd. And why the fuck is she so bloody beautiful?! How can someone be so cute when she literally knocked you to the floor. STOP! She just knocked you to the floor and is a nerb. What are you doing you idiot?! He scoffed himself. But even if she is a nerb she is cute and... Well she is beautyful. Fuck! I think I like this girl. But. How can I not? He thought.
After you got up from the floor you stand there in silence. After a while he broke the silence. "I am Greg, by the way. Greg Lestrade." he said as he held out his hand for you to shake it. "Y-Y/N. Y/N L/N." you said and shook his hand. "It is nice to meat you Y/N." he said slowly. "Y-You too!" you stuttered. Cute. He. Is. Cute. Why is he so cute? Aaaaaaa and those eyes! They are amazing! I can stare at them for hours. Stare!? Oh God! I am staring at him! Ok. Back to reality Y/N. You thought to yourself. "I - I - I have to go. I have history and I uhhh." you looked at the floor. "I don't know were is it so I better go. No need to late." you said embarassed. "I-I can take you there if you want me to." "Oh. No no I'll just find it on my own. Erm bye." you said and left him there with his friends. You never talked after that.
Present day
"So are you and Y/N?......" Greg's eyes almost popped out of his head. "N-no! Nothing like that. We are just... friends... We are in the same class."he answered her question." Oh sorry. It's just that Y/N never brings boys here. Nor girls. She never brings anyone. I honestly don't know why." she trailed of." Well I just came for home work. Nothing is going on between us." Not yet at least. Once I find the courage to ask her out I hope she" ll want to. He thought to himself. "Hey Greg!" you said a little excited and waved him. "Hi Y/N!" he replied. The same tone in his voice as yours. Did he just used the same tone as I did before? Is excited to see me to?! Naah why would he? It's probably my mind. You thought. "How are you" you asked him smiling at him. "G-good. Thanks. Y-You?" he asked you. Better now that you're here. You thought. "Good. I am good. Thank you." Silence. "Shall we start?" you tell him motioning to the kitchen. "Yes"he said and he followed in the kitchen.
3 hours later
"Thanks Y/N! You saved my life."he told you "Anytime Greg"you smiled at him. Now. Now it's your moment. Just ask her to go to the cinema this Friday. He told himself. "Y/N?" he trailed of. You looked up at him. "Yes... Greg?" you asked him. "Would - would you erm.... Maybe. If you want to. Of course." "Yeees." you aked waiting for him to finish his sentence. He took a deep breath. "Y/N. Would you like to go to the cinema this Friday.... With.. Me." the whole sentence was to fast except the last tow words. You were so socked you couldn't speak so you nodded. "R-really! You really want to go out with me." he asked socked and slightly raised his voice from excitement. "Well... Yes." you told him. "I've been wanting to go out with you for quite some time. Like 6....months." you didn't raised your voice abouve a whisper. The entire sentence was a whisper. But it was enough for him to hear. "Really? Me too." He whispered to you. Both of you blushing. "See you tommorow Y/N." he said and delicated kissed your cheek. "See you tommorow Greg." you told him. "Goodnight." you both said at the same time. After he left you walked in and closed the door. You didn't know your family had heard everything. And you didn't notice they were still there so you squealed in excitement. "Yeeeeee" you squealed. "I will go out with Greg Lestraaaade!!!!" you whispered/screamed. "Well well well." all of then said in unison. You jump petrified. "Have you been listenung everything!" you screamed. "Yes" Jake the oldest one of your stupid brothers said. And then Tom the middle child of you three started to tease you. "Y/N has a date. Y/N has a date." you felt so embarassed that tears began to escape your eyes. "Y/N. Y/N sweetheart. What happened?" she asked. "Why... Why do you two have to always destroy everything? Can't you be happy for me for once?" you whispered /screamed. "Everyone at school make fun of me because I am smart. I don't have any friends and now that someone likes me more than a friends you two have to SPOIL IT!" you screamed and bursted into tears and sobs. Jake gave you a bear hug as you were sobbing on the floor. "Shhhhhh. Calm down I am very very happy and proud about you. I know I don't sat that a lot to you but.... I love you little sister. Ok? Remember that. I. Love. You. And if Greg ever hurt you - which I hope not- I. Will. Kill. Him. Ok?" he chuckled. You smiled up at him." Yes. I Love you too. And you."you looked at Tom. "I am tired I'll go to sleep. Goodnight."
The next day at school
You were sitting on your favourite bench. Greg spotted you and wanted to come and talk to you. "Hey guys we'll talk later." he told them. "Where are you going?" Jim one of his mates asked him. "I am going to talk to Y/N L /N" he said smiling. They all cringed. "Are you crazy?!" "No. I like her company." he said. "So you had the nerb's company... And you enjoyed it?" they said and he became furious and started screaming. "SHE IS NOT A NERB YOU FUCKING IDIOTS! SHE IS THE SWEETEST, CUTEST, SMARTEST AND THE MOST INTELLIGENT PERSON IN THE ENTIRE SCHOOL! SO ALL OF YOU. FUCK OFF!!" he was screaming so loud that every one went to see what happened. Teachers and students. The headmaster told him to caln down. That happened when you appeared and his expresion softened. You ran into his arms and burried you face into his chest. EVERYONE-EVERYONE were socked. "Thank you. Thank you so much." you told him with tears in your eyes. He smiled at you and kissed the top of your head. "Your welcome Love." You pulled back. "Wh-what did you say?" you asked socked. He chuckled. "I said 'your welcome'." you grimaced and slapped his chest. "Not that you idiot. The other." you had a goofy smile. "Ohhhhh that thing." He grinned at you. You slapped his chest again. He chuckled. "Ok. Ok. I called you Love." No one said a thing. Everyone were watching and listening very careful. "Why?" you asked still crying. Greg whiped it with his thumb. Because I love you you idiot." once you heard that you burst into tears and laughed at the same time." Ca-can y-you sa-say th-that a-again? " you sobbed. He chuckled "I! LOVE! YOU!" he yeld a little. You kept crying and sobbing and said. "I L-Love you too." you smiled up at him. He grinned like an idiot. "Sorry can you repeat that?" he asked with a chicky amile on his face. "I said: I LOVE YOU GREG!" and with that he crashed his lips to yours. The kiss was long and passionate yet gentle. "Ahhem." a cough cut them off "I am sorry go interrupt but 1. The class has already start and 2. I will have to call your parents." Greg groaned. "ahhhh. If my mum don't stop me from football cause of Schience.... She will defenetly stop me cause of this." he told you and you chuckled. "Well if you don't do anything like that again I won't call them." "I won't. I promice." he grinned. "Let's head to class." Greg smiled down at you after every one went in. "Let's go." you smiled too. "Hey... Greg." you trailed of. "Yes..." he asked. "I love you." you said and looked at him. "I love you too Y/N. I love you too." he said smiling, he looked at you and kissed you.

May I have “sneaking around, hope no one finds out” with my favorite detective inspector? 😍❤️

Greg hates sneaking around. He hates the near misses, the close calls and the fact he can’t touch you the way he wants to touch you. He knows you hate it too.
He understands the reason behind it, you’re newly divorced and your ex-husband is a Superintendent within Greg’s chain of command. He has the ability to make Greg’s life extremely difficult if your relationship becomes public knowledge.
“I hate this.” Greg tells you when you’re sharing a smoke outside of the pub.
You’re both leaning against the wall, watching a drunk tourist trying to fish her keys out of the wishing fountain.
“I know.” You say as you take a drag of the cigarette and blowing out long stream of smoke into the cool night air. “I do too.”
“I think we should stop.” He says, tucking his hands into his pockets.
You try not to react; despite the fact it feels like you’ve just been stabbed in the chest because this thing between the two of you, it means more than you could ever tell him. He doesn’t need to explain why. Castor’s been particularly malicious recently, trying to torpedo your career, telling everyone that you were the one that cheated. If it comes out that you’re with Greg, people will assume he’s the man you allegedly had an affair with, it will destroy his reputation.
“OK.” You say, dropping the cigarette onto the floor and crunching it underneath your boot before you push off the wall. “If that’s what you want.”
His hand settles on your arm, altering your trajectory, and you find yourself in his arms, his nose trailing down over yours until your lips are barely apart.
“I meant we should stop hiding this.” He murmurs, his lips brushing over yours. “I don’t want how I feel to be a secret anymore.”

Lestrade x Teen!reader - a safe place
Tumblr media
- Lestrade x Teen!Reader - Reader is part of Sherlock's homeless network - @mxacegrey 💜
Sitting in the abandoned train car, you pulled the blanket around you a little tighter as you adjusted the torch next to you so you could see the pages of your book a little better.
“It’s nearly midnight, what are we doing here?” Someone sighed.
“You want answers for you case I know just the person.”
You set your book down and shrugged the blanket off, grabbing the baseball bat you crouched down and crept to the entrance to the train car.
Slowly stepping down, you followed the three people and climbed up on to another train car, creeping along the top of it.
You crouched at the edge, adjusting the bat in your hands as you watched the tallest one stop and the other three followed suit.
“You’re getting better.”
You laughed waved when he shone his torch up at you and you set you bat to the side, resting your arms on your knees.
“It’s late, not safe to be walking around these parts you know.”
“You’re the only person who lives here (Y/N), you’ve scared off anyone else.”
You grinned a little and shrugged, grabbing the bat you leant down and Sherlock took it, handing it to John her reached his arms up and helped you climb down and set you on the floor.
“Thanks.”
You took your bat back and gestured for them to follow you back to your home and the four of you sat down.
Sherlock introduced you to the other two men.
“So, why the late night visit.”
“We need some information that only you can get.” Sherlock said.
“Don’t talk to cops, you know this Holmes, and I don’t work for free neither.”
“I know.”
Sherlock tossed a bag at you as you looked inside, seeing food, clothes and some money you nodded your head.
“What do you wanna know?”
Lestrade pulled out a photo from his pocket and unfolded it, handing it over to you.
Grabbing the torch, you held it between your teeth as you looked at at it, taking in the detail and the writing before looking up at the police officer.
“We know there’s more like this, we believe it’s a message that’ll help us solve the case. But without the rest we don’t know what it’ll be.” He sighed.
“Yeah I can do this for you, you still got that phone Sherlock?”
“Course I do. Also you need to get the cut on your arm checked out, it’s getting infected.”
“It’s fine. Anyways I’ll call you when I have some information.”
“I’m a doctor I can check out that cut if you want?” John asked.
You shrugged, rolling up the sleeve of your dirty hoodie to show him the wound and he carefully inspected it before nodding his head.
“You need to go to the hospital, you’ll need antibiotics.”
“Can’t won’t give me any. Tried a few days ago, threatened to put me in a home or whatever, it’ll be fine.”
John sighed but didn’t say anything else knowing that if you were friends with Sherlock you had to be as stubborn as him.
They all thanked you and left, and John turned to Sherlock.
“They’re just a kid, why haven’t you asked them to stay with you?”
“I have. They won’t do it, they’re happy there, and as long as I bring money and clothes they’re pretty content.” Sherlock shrugged.
Lestrade and John didn’t feel right leaving you there, but they couldn’t exactly drag you away since they knew you’d get away and hide even deeper.
Sherlock sat around waiting for your text the next day.
You spoke to a few people and showed them the picture, and they took you to the next one, and after a few hours of wondering you had found quite a few and sent Sherlock the photos.
You brought some food and made your way back to the train, and you found Lestrade walking around looking a bit unsure.
“Stalking around here isn’t a good idea.”
He jumped and turned around.
“Sorry, I was looking for you. Sherlock told me you found some more.”
“Yeah, here.”
You handed him the phone and climbed into the train car, sitting on the of the broken seats and he followed you.
He sat down and set the bag he was holding on the floor.
“This is perfect thank you so much. I also got these for you.”
He held you the bag and you looked in it, medical supposed and a bottle of antibiotics.
“Damn, pays to be a police officer Huh?”
Lestrade chuckled a little.
“John gave those to me for you.”
You nodded your head and set the bag aside and Lestrade sighed.
“Why are you here? I’m sure your family are worried about you, I can help you find them if you want.”
Your attitude immediately changed.
“I helped you with your case, you can go. Thanks for the stuff and give Sherlock back the phone.”
You got up and walked away from the train car and he sighed, getting up to go as well.
Lestrade spent days trying to find any information on you, but it was like you never existed, there was absolutely nothing, only a birth certificate.
He tried looking up your parents, and to no surprise there was nothing.
“You won’t find anything.”
“Bloody hell Sherlock.”
Lestrade looked up from his computer and handed the phone he had been holding on to back to Sherlock now the case was over.
“What do you know about them?”
“A lot more then you could find on that, but not what you’re looking for. (Y/N) doesn’t have a family, been living on the streets for years, raising by some slightly older kids until they were old enough to go on their own.”
Sherlock stood up and started to walk out when he stopped at the doorway.
“By the way, don’t go there at night, (Y/N) likes to walk around with their baseball bat and will swing before asking any questions.”
Lestrade nodded his head and sighed, grabbing his jacket he left not long after Sherlock and went to the shop before driving back to the abandoned tracks.
The sun was still high in the sky, so it made it easy to spot you sunbathing on the roof of the train car.
He walked closer and you picked up your bag, hitting against the metal car a few times.
“Don’t.”
You sat up, and crouched down, resting and arm in your knee as you used the other to hold the bat over your shoulder.
Your eyes burned into him, carefully watching him and if he was being honest he was a little nervous.
“I brought a peace offering?” He asked.
“What’s in the bag?”
“Food, and water. It’s going to be pretty cold over the next few days so there’s some hand warmers, and old hoodie of mine and another blanket.”
You nodded and lowered the bat, but you didn’t move from the train car and Lestrade walked over, setting the bag on the inside he took a few steps back, hand over his eyes to block the sun.
“How’s the arm?”
“Sore and I think it’s green?”
“Green?”
“You know the colours of leaves and grass.”
Lestrade rolled his eyes a little and gestured for you to come down.
“I don’t deal with cops.”
“Right now I’m not a police officer, I’m just someone who’s concerned about the fact you have a green cut in your arm. Please can I take a look (Y/N)?”
You thought about this for a moment and you tossed the bat down, and you walked to the end of the car, jumped down on a tipped over one, you climbed down from that one and walked over.
You rolled up your sleeve to show him and he held his hands out.
“May I?”
You shrugged a little.
He carefully inspected your arm.
“Right, hang on let me send a picture to John and ask him what to do. That doesn’t look good.”
You sat down while he called John and spoke to him about what to do and he pulled the phone from his ear.
“You haven’t been taking those antibiotics have you?”
You shook your head and he sighed, telling John and after a few more minutes he hung up.
“Right, John said I need to deeply clean it, do you still have those things I got you?”
“Yeah.”
You walked into the train and he followed you and you handed him the bag and sat down.
“This is going to hurt, sorry.”
Lestrade tried to be gentle while he was cleaning the cut, and every time you flinched away he would apologised.
He did as much as he could, and wrapped a clean bandage around it and pulled your sleeve back down.
“I need to go, but I’ll come back and change that in a few days. Take the antibiotics please.”
With that he left and true to his word he came back a few days later, it was pouring it down with rain, and he rushed inside the dry train and called you name.
He carefully looked around, and he found you bundled under some blankets and he walked over, crouching down I front of you.
“(Y/N)?”
He shook you but you didn’t responded and that’s when he began to worry.
Pulling the blanket down, he found you unresponsive and he touched your forehead, it was on fire.
He didn’t think, he grabbed your bag and stuffed everything of your he could find in it, including the bag, threw it on his back and swept you into his arms.
He didn’t know what to do, and in a panic he took you to Sherlocks flat, calling him to let him know what was going on and John was waiting at the door when he pulled up.
“Get them, I’ve got the bag!” Lestrade shouted.
John grabbed you and rushed you up to the flat and Lestrade ran up, sweeping everything from the sofa for John to set you down.
“I didn’t know what to! Something told me they’d run from a hospital.”
“They would, John put this on their head, Lestrade my room there’s a heavyweight blanket, get it.” Sherlock barked out.
Lestrade did as he told, and all he could do was stand her you while John and Sherlock treated you.
It felt like hours until they were finally done.
“They’ll be fine. They can’t stay here though, it’s too small.” Sherlock said.
“Well we can take them to a hospital, you know where they’ll get the care they need?” John snapped.
“They’ll just run the moment they wake up and make it even worse. They’ll wake up soon, but they need somewhere bigger to stay while they recover.”
Lestrade thought for a moment before raising his hand.
“I have a spare room, they can stay with me I suppose. I don’t want them going back out there it’s set to snow for the next week.”
“It’s settled, john get a cab, Lestrade the bag.”
Sherlock picked you up and the three of them took you to the detectives department and set you on the guest bed.
Sherlock told Lestrade what he needed to know, what food you liked and what you didn’t like.
Then John told him how to care for you but made him swear to call an ambulance if you don’t improve within the next day.
When they left Lestrade looked at your bag and decided to wash the clothes in there so they were clean.
He checked up on your and spent most of the day sitting on a chair by your bed while he kept track of your temperature and heart rate.
It was late evening when you sat up, and you felt someone bandaging your arm.
“Remove your hands or I’ll break every finger…” you mumbled.
Lestrade chuckled a little bit.
“It’s just me, Lestrade.”
You opened your eyes and looked at him, grumbling a little bit before you slowly sat up.
“Here some water.”
You took the cup and sipped some of the water before you looked around in confusion.
“You’re in my house. Sherlock said the flat was too small for you to stay there, and he said you’d run from the hospital if we tried taking you there.”
You nodded and set the cup aside, pulling the blanket a little tighter around you.
“Are you cold?”
Lestrade felt your forehead and left the room, coming back with a hoodie and held it out.
When you touched it you gasped at how warm it was and threw it on, burying your nose into the fabric.
“If you don’t want to stay here that’s fine, but I don’t want you back on the streets. I can get you a hotel room for a few weeks until something permanent can be sorted out.”
“I’ll be fine, I’ll go in a few days.”
“End of the week? It’s going to be snowing all week.”
You frowned but nodded your head.
Lestrade cared for you, making sure you got better but due to the bad weather a week turned into two which turned into three.
You quite liked it there, a warm bed, clean clothes and food everyday? It was great.
Lestrade didn’t push for you to tell him anything you didn’t want to, but he did sit you down to talk about what was going to happen.
“I can get you a hotel, you can go back to the train car, or you can stay here. It’s completely up to you.”
“You wouldn’t mind if I stayed?”
“Of course not, I’d rather you stay here then back on the streets. I don’t feel right sending you back to that.” He said softly.
You nodded your head and looked around the living room.
You didn’t mind living in the train, it was free, no rules, no adults, just you, your bat and the occasional passer-by.
But here, with Lestrade? He got you new clothes, it was warm, he cooked for you every day and taught you how to cook. You could shower everyday and read all you wanted.
“I.. maybe I can stay for a few more weeks, I’m not fully better you know?”
Lestrade laughed a little.
“Right, just till your better.” He chuckled
Lestrade was warned that you went stubborn, but he felt like he was making progress with you, and knowing you were safe and he wasn’t sending a teenager back on the streets put his mind at ease

Coffee for Me, Coffee for You
Gregory Lestrade x Female Reader
1613 words.
A few cuss words- like 2.
Tumblr media
You looked up from your phone as you were bumped from behind. The coffee shop you were at was crowded more than usual with everyone wanting to get out of the rain.
The person behind you mumbled an apology in a deep, gravely voice, sounding much more exhausted than the 8:00 in the morning warranted.
Curious, you looked over your shoulder and hoped that your face didn’t do anything embarrassing. A middle aged, silver fox of a man stood behind you and he was gorgeous. Very tired looking, more like dead on his feet, but gorgeous all the same.
“Sorry,” he apologized again, brown eyes crinkling slightly in a weary smile.
“I-it’s fine,” you murmured. You were still staring and you blushed as the man raised a brow.
“Are you sure?” he asked quietly, eyes roving your form. “You’re not hurt or anything?”
“No! I’m fine, sorry. I just…,” how could you say this without either sounding creepy or rude?, “are you okay? I mean, you seem very…tired.” There was a somewhat awkward silence before you blurred out again, “Sorry!”
The man gave another weary smile, this one bigger than the last.
“It’s fine,” he assured. “Yeah, I am a bit tired. Guess it would show after pulling a triple, eh?”
Your jaw dropped.
“A triple?! Like… triple shifts in a row!?”
The man gave a small chuckle. “Yeah,” he said somewhat sheepishly. “I uh, haven’t slept in a few days. Had something big come up.”
“Where the heck do you even work that they make you do triples? That’s so unfair,” you said heatedly, offended for the man who seemed so nice and was being worked to the bone. “I mean, can your employers even do that? Is that even legal? You should tell someone you know because—“
You were cut off by a hearty chuckle.
“I appreciate the concern, Miss, but it kind of comes with the territory.
At your dubious look he added, “I’m a Detective Inspector with New Scotland Yard; Greg Lestrade.”
You shook his offered hand and gave your own name.
“Please tell me that you’re at least going home now? They can’t make you work for days on end- can they?”
The DI grinned. “Since crime never sleeps, we can’t either,” he joked before shaking his head. “I’m off for the rest of today since—“
The ringing in his pocket distracted him and he gave you a look. “I may have spoke too soon.”
Answering the call, he had a brief conversation with whoever was on the other line before he hung up with a sigh.
“Duty calls,” he said with another weary grin, his sudden wave of energy gone. “It was nice meeting you, Miss (Y/L/N). Enjoy your coffee.”
And he was gone- out the door and into the rain.
The cashier had to call to you three times before you realized it was your turn to order.
After you ordered your drink, on a whim you ordered the tallest, blackest coffee you could buy.
Seriously, what were you doing? Buying a coffee for a worn out copper who you had a three minutes conversation with?
…Yup. That’s what you were doing. But how exactly you were supposed to now find the cooper was something you’d have to figure out.
Once you had both coffees in hand, you headed to the door. Well, it had only been a few minutes, maybe you could catch him?
Dubiously, you looked out to the rain before taking a deep fortifying breath and heading outside. Hopefully he was close.
You braced yourself for the rain but it never hit you. Confused, you looked around to find a man suddenly standing next to you, in a suit, holding an umbrella over the both of you.
You blinked. “Um, thank you,” you said cautiously. Because this was weird. And why was the man throwing off James Bind vibes? Or maybe you were the weird one.
The man nodded before gesturing to a sleek black car parked along the street in front of the shop you just left.
You looked from him to it and back again. Surely he wasn’t trying to kidnap you in broad daylight? Talk about awkward and unsuccessful.
“That coffee is for Detective Inspector Lestrade, correct?”
You jumped a bit at his sudden voice.
“How did you—“
“My employer,” the man said, smoothly interrupting you. “I have instructions to take you -and the coffee- to the DI’s location.”
You just stared at him.
How did he… Where was… Who…?
“Who is your employer?!” Honestly, were you the only person who had a normal job?
The man gave a smirk. “My employer knows the Inspector. Has for quite some time.”
He gestured again to the car. What the hell. If you were going to die, at least it’s be out of the rain.
You followed the man, and the cover of his umbrella, to the car.
Within moments after you were settled you were smoothly pulling out into traffic.
“So, uh, Mr….?”
“Steed, ma’am,” the man answered from the front drivers seat.
“Steed,” you continued, “where are we going exactly?”
“DI Lestrade is currently at a crime scene. Again.”
Maybe it was your imagination, but Mr. Steed sounded displeased that the DI was working again. But maybe you were pushing your feelings into others.
But still.
“Seems like he’s the only Inspector that New Scotland Yard has,” you muttered into your coffee cup.
Steed snorted. “My employer is working on it,” he said after a few moments.
Within ten minutes, the car pulled up in front of a row of flats.
Your door was suddenly opened by Steed who handed you a small paper bag once you were out of the car.
“For the Detective Inspector,” he elaborated at your confused look. “It’s been a long time since he’s eaten as well.”
“From your employer?” you found yourself asking.
Steed smirked but simply said, “Go in the main door and up the flight of stairs. You’ll find him on the top floor.”
You decided to NOT think about how this guy -or was it his employer?- knew not only about your movements, but also a lot about the Inspector’s. Because this was getting even more weird.
Instead you just gave him your thanks and headed to where he indicated.
To your surprise, the officers stationed outside didn’t give you any grief and just let you right on through.
And on the top floor, just as promised, you came face to face with DI Lestrade.
“Miss (Y/L/N)!” he said in surprise, walking to where you stood in front of the stairwell, “What brings you here?” He paused before suddenly seeming much more alert. “You don’t live here?”
You shook your head, “No, Detective Inspector, I don’t live here. I uh, just came to drop off these.”
Lestrade looked surprised, but took the offered coffee and bag, lighting up when he realized what you’d brought him.
“I really appreciate this, Miss (Y/L/N).”
“It’s (Y/N), and I can only take credit for the coffee. The bag was given to me by Mr. Steed. Or rather, his employer, apparently.”
Lestrade’s brows furrowed before he suddenly grinned. “Black town car? Guy in a suit that popped out of nowhere?
“Yeah,” you nodded, “that sounds about right. Does that mean it was legit?” And you weren’t a complete idiot that got into a car with an unknown man just because he mentioned a man you’d just met?
“Yeah,” the DI grinned, “very legit. Did Mr. Steed say anything else?”
“Only that his employer was working on your schedule. He seemed a bit… put out that you were on another crime scene.”
The silver haired man grinned, before offering you a pastry and gently guiding you back to the stairs.
“Well, if Mr. Steed’s employer is working on getting me off this case, how about I take you out to breakfast, as a thank you for the coffee.”
“I’d love to, Detective Inspector—“
“Greg.”
“Greg, then. But I’m pretty sure your mysterious benefactor would want to see you at home asleep. Not gallivanting out and about with strangers. And what if you get in trouble for leaving the scene before you’re cleared to go?”
Greg pulled out his phone to show you a new text message that simply read, ‘DI Dimmock will be taking over. -MH’
“That’s me being cleared to leave the scene. Also, I know my benefactor would prefer me to eat something other than sweets before I go pass out for hours on end. So, what do you say?”
You hesitated a moment before suddenly nodding. “I’d love to, Greg.” You’d be an absolute fool to turn down breakfast with this man!
“Great,” Greg grinned, holding open the door as you both stepped out onto the sidewalk.
There, parked in the street was the same black car and Greg gently steered you towards it.
Mr. Steed stepped out as you neared, but Greg waved him off. “Thanks for bringing (Y/N) out here, but we’ll take my car back.”
Mr. Steed looked to you briefly before nodding to Greg and getting back into the car.
“Oh,” Greg added before Steed shut the door, “please tell your employer ‘Thanks’.”
“Will do, Detective Inspector. Good day, Miss (Y/L/N).”
You and Greg both watched the car until it was out of sight before you muttered absently, “At least it stopped raining.”
Greg barked a laugh before you both started down the street to his car to start your first date of many.
Unbeknownst to either of you, a security camera across the street followed Greg’s car until it turned the corner.
And if Greg suddenly found himself with a more free schedule to keep seeing you, well, he knew a pretty damn good employer.

They had been meeting for months by now, maybe five or six since they had met. As usual Greg had come out of the yard intending to go home when a black sedan had parked in front of him. He wanted to groan, it had been a particulary tiring day followed by a dreadful murder in which Sherlock had reminded all of them how incompetent they were. He got into the car which took him to a secret location.
-Wanna go out sometime? I’m getting tired of meeting you in this damn place- Irritation clear in his face.

Caring is the Greatest Advantage- Mycroft Holmes x Reader (Part Thirteen) Smut
A/N- Honestly most of this is utter filth just because I wanted it to be. Enjoy lmao.
Word count: 4.2K
Tumblr media
It was another rarity that you had woken up before Mycroft Holmes, but another rarity that you relished in massively. It was such a peaceful sight, watching Mycroft Holmes rest. His eyes shut, frown lines resting by his brow after years of dealing with idiots, his chest rising and falling slowly with each breath, one arm curled beneath you to rest a pale hand on your hip, fingers curling to make sure you didn't move, lips resting in a faint line.. twitching.
"You bastard, you're not asleep at all are you?" You grinned, slapping him playfully on his chest with the tips of your fingers. His blue eyes opened wide, not a hint of 'I've really been asleep this whole time' showing in them in the slightest, and a small smile graced his features.
"Guilty, I'm afraid."
"How long?"
"Two hours and thirty seven minutes. Forgive me for not taking note of the seconds."
"You've been awake for over two and a half hours and you didn't wake me up? Or even get up? You hate lounging in your pyjamas." You shifted your body to get more comfortable and found the fingers on your hip digging in a little firmer.
"Yes, well.. It appears there are some added benefits to staying in bed a short while longer. Some reasons better than others." Your hand snaked from his chest to pull at his other arm until he was laying on his side beside you.
"Is that Mycroftish for 'I'm very much enjoying the affections of a morning cuddle'?" You teased, moving to rest your head in the crook of his neck.
"Don't be absurd. I was purely referencing how the sound of the birds singing is much more preferable from the bedroom than the sitting room." A small, single bite to his exposed collarbone made him jump. "Okay, perhaps the embracing is worthy of second place." A small kiss over the bitten area, followed by another bite. "Fine, first place and medallion worthy." He hissed and shuddered slighty, fighting an inner battle of whether to move away from, or more into your attack.
"That's better.." You continued kissing up his neck, by his ear, down his jaw and ended with a peck on his lips. You kissed him once more and then moved back, frowning.
"Ah, yes. Sitting in bed for an extended period of time would have meant being sat tasting my rather undelightful morning breath for far too long."
"Somehow it's more endearing knowing that you willingly chose to come back to bed after getting yourself up. Now wait here." You shifted yourself from his embrace and headed towards the bathroom.
"Where are you going?"
"Your deductions truly are terrible in the morning, aren't they? I'm going to brush my own teeth. You're not allowed to move because I plan to crawl right back into bed with you as it's only 07:30am, and then I plan to kiss you some more without poisoning you with my own morning breath. Entendu?"
"Bien sûr, madame."
---
You returned after five minutes pleasantly surprised that Mycroft had adhered to his word and stayed put in the ridiculously large bed- though he was sat up now, duvet resting to his hips as he scrolled through his phone. As promised, you crawled back beneath the sheets, sitting yourself half behind him and resting your chin on his shoulder.
"World ending?"
"Close. Anthea has merely sent over a brief 'to-do' list for when I go back to work."
"That should be illegal. You've still got twelve days until you go back. It doesn't count as time off if your PA is sending you work stuff. You should ask for another week in compensation for the disruption and then forward that message to Greg." Mycroft chuckled and tossed his phone onto the bedside table, his hands lowering to cover yours that had folded around his middle.
"I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't miss it. Surely you must feel the same?" He spoke.
"Of course I do. Spending my days chasing after criminals, drinking terrible coffee in an overcrowded break room, pissing off Sherlock with every ounce of my being.. I love my job." You responded.
"And yet.."
"And yet.."
You both laughed after you spoke simultaneously, moving from your current position to rest against the headboard.
"Yeah, tossing in walks in the park, evenings watching good telly and mornings where our sex life is discussed by the lady who serves us breakfast is going to be a bit shit for a while." You admitted.
"And there will more than likely be times where neither of us finish work remotely at the same time.. I tend to have to travel a lot." Mycroft continued. "And you understand that I cannot always disclose where I am, nor how long I may be." You hummed in acknowledgement.
"Fuck it. Fancy faking our deaths and running away to live a quiet life in some cottage in the middle of nowhere? We'll start up some kind of business from home.. You deal with the hard stuff and I'll.. Sit by our cute little fireplace with our.. cat?"
"I'd love cats."
"Cats then. Plural. I'll have a giant Maine Coon that will rest with me on our sofa.. You have a little Russian white that can circle your ankles every time you get up to walk.. And we'll have a Bombay cat that constantly runs away and gets itself into trouble. A pain in the ass that destroys our cupboards and constantly brings back some kind of rodent but we love him with all our heart.." Mycroft glared. "What? We both know we need SOME form of Sherlock aggravating our lives."
"I shall plan our staged shooting for Thursday and contact the local cat shelters."
"Good. Don't tell Sherlock, either. Bastard deserves to be hidden from the truth like I was for three years when he buggered off." Mycroft pretended to zip his mouth shut and you laughed. "Honestly though, it does suck a bit. Just means we have to relish in these twelve days as much as we can. Of which, I propose we start this very moment."
"And what do you have in mind?"
"Well I distinctly remember planning to kiss you once I got back in this bed and, if you're still agreeable, I should like to do so this very moment."
"I am very much still agreeable."
"Good." You leant over and pressed your lips to his smiling ones, easing him back to lay down as you got comfortable. His mouth melded with yours, tongue tracing your bottom lip every so often as he pressed closer, one of his hands moving to rest on the back of your neck while the other gripped your hip strongly. Mycroft's breath caught in his throat as you allowed your hands to rake up and down his chest, catching his nipples beneath your fingers in their movement, before they fisted in the silk. Shakily, Mycroft let his own fingers begin to explore- drifting slowly higher from your hip, dipping in each drop of your ribs over your shirt, casting down your back and continuing the circle. On his third cycle, you elected to be bold and caught his hand with your own, moving it back to your waist but nudging his digits beneath your shirt. He froze for a moment before accepting the offer and continuing his route- this time slower, taking his time to remember the feel of your skin. They ventured further, brushing between your shoulder blades down to the dip of your back. You moved your lips from his, dragging them along his jaw and down his neck, leaving small kisses and bites as you went and nuzzled your chin against his shirt collar. A silent request lingered in the air as your fingers shifted to rest on the buttons but it was eagerly responded to with a nod. Stopping after three- the agreed number from last time- you kissed him again on his lips.
".. More? .. If you-"
"Of course I want to." You sat yourself up slightly and risked throwing a leg over Mycroft's waist, straddling him. "This okay?" His nodded response was eager- both hands pressing beneath your shirt, thumbs brushing against your skin fondly. After unbuttoning the shirt the rest of the way, you noticed that Mycroft made no attempt to sit up and remove it completely; his boundary of wanting to keep the fabric still on made clear. You hummed appreciatively and bent down to give the newly exposed flesh some attention, moving your lips across his clavicle and down the centre of chest. The small moans above only spurred you on as you tested flicking your tongue over the sensitive skin of his nipple. Mycroft sucked his breath between his teeth in a hiss as he moved his body towards your mouth, a plea to continue. You nibbled softly round the flesh before moving to the other side and giving it the same treatment, fingers raking down his sides. Your lips began to trail elsewhere, gliding across the pale skin of his stomach, your tongue flicking out to taste every scar, every freckle, every faded stretch mark and back up again until you reached his mouth. "You're a very gorgeous man, Mycroft Holmes." You kissed. "So very bloody gorgeous." For the first time in his entire life, Mycroft genuinely felt worshipped, felt loved. And he loved it. Christ, did he love it. His fingers gripped you slightly tighter as you kissed him, brushing the fabric of your shirt and letting go again.
"Can.. Do you- that is.."
"Want it off? Go for it."
"If you-"
"I promise you if I offer something I am more than happy to do it. I'll always let you know if I don't want something, and I'd expect you to do the same." You kissed him again and raised your arms as he began to drag your shirt up and over your head. Mycroft's cheeks flushed at the sight of your bare chest, his hands falling back to your hips. You placed your hands over his, squeezed them. "Just do whatever feels natural." You whispered, brushing your lips across his cheek. Soon enough, his long fingers began to brush at your sides and back down again, slowly edging higher before skimming across your stomach. You let out a breath as you felt him push on your side lightly, a silent request to flip the pair of you over which you happily obliged. Laying in bed being caged by Mycroft's arms either side of your head was quite possibly one of the best feelings in this world. Neither of you moved for a while and the sight of him like this was becoming slightly too hard to handle. Mycroft's face was burnt a deep red, pupils blown so wide there was barely a hint of blue left. His hair was tousled and pointing in every direction, chest flushed and heaving, the sides of his shirt flapping either side of him and forming a complete Mycroft barrier. His trousers had significantly tightened and it took every ounce of your being not to simply groan looking at him. A very bloody gorgeous man, indeed. "You'll kill me one day, looking all like that." You let your finger scrape across a nipple once more, leaning up to press more small kisses against the flesh. "You're just so lovely. So, so lovely."
Eventually, Mycroft's body caught up with his brain and he bent down to kiss you as you had to him.
"You're beautiful. Truly so." His lips mirrored your actions exactly as they drifted south to your neck. Your hands reached round to his back and gripped as you moaned, the feeling of his mouth against your pulse feeling criminally good. Relishing in your sounds, Mycroft remained consistent at the spot and you knew full well that a deep purple mark would be left in its wake, but you didn't care- it would be gone by the time work came round anyway. Soon his teeth dragged at your collarbone, venturing down your sternum and back up again as his hands roamed up your stomach to cup your breast. He gave an experimental squeeze and you groaned, throwing your head back and arching into his touch. Content with the sound of approval, Mycroft squeezed again, pulling back his hand to rub your nipple between his thumb and forefinger.
"Jesus, Myc.." You breathed, brushing your hand through his hair. You closed your eyes but quickly snapped them open as you felt the warmth of his mouth pressed over your other nipple, sucking and biting lightly while he kept up the movement with his hand on the other, before switching over and trailing his lips down across your stomach. You reached his shoulders and tugged him back to your mouth, crashing your lips to his and running your fingers down his chest until you brushed against the bulge in his trousers. Mycroft grunted and instinctively bucked his hips to your hand, head moving to rest in your neck as you began to stroke him gently through the fabric. Tucking your digits beneath the waistband of his trousers, you waited for Mycroft's nod to continue, turning the pair of you on your sides and nudging the silk to his mid thigh. Your fingers wrapped around his cock immediately, squeezing lightly as you began to pump your fist, your moan matching his as he bit into your shoulder. Using your thumb, you flicked over the glistening head, twisting your wrist each time you reached the hilt; then shifted your other hand to stroke his balls in time with your movements. You nudged Mycroft's head to reach his neck, trailing your tongue along his pulse point before biting and sucking as his moans picked up, likely leaving a mark to match your own, until you felt him convulse in your arms as he came- coating both of your stomachs in the process. Mycroft stared at your torso and began to apologise immediately.
"I'm ever so sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to.. not yet.. not.. on you." You let out a small laugh and tugged him towards you, kissing his forehead.
"You're adorable." You didn't think you'd ever said something anywhere close to those lines after sex ever before in your life, but little else suited Mycroft in this very moment. "Don't apologise, you wonderful man." You shifted to get up and get clean but Mycroft tugged you back towards him, cheeks a deep red as he looked directly into your eyes- clearly wanting to say something but not knowing how to word it. He rested his hand on your cheek and kissed you once more, before moving it down your side and pausing at the band of your pyjama trousers. "Myc, you don't have to." You rested your forehead against his and smiled.
"I want to.. Please?" You pecked his lips once more and nodded. He suddenly froze again and let his thumb brush the skin of your stomach. "I- Admittedly I've done some.. research." He stammered, embarrassed. "But still-"
"I trust you and I'll tell you anything, I promise." Mycroft nodded his head and moved to kiss you again, the welcomed affection giving him the confidence to dip beneath the elastic and drag his long fingers over the front of your underwear; the gasp from your lips allowing him to brush his tongue against yours. He circled his fingers slowly over your clothed clit and you hissed, moving your mouth from his to rest your head against his shoulder as he continued his movements. Shortly after, he removed his hand completely, biting back a smile as you made a disapproving sound and he pushed your trousers and underwear down your legs to sit above your knee. "Please, Myc- Jesus.." Your plea was cut short as Mycroft's pale digits brushed between your folds, slicking immediately as your desire for him became clear. Mycroft's index finger circled your entrance before dipping in to his knuckle and back out again, adhering to your want as you pressed your hips up into his hand and entered a second. He pumped his fingers slowly, delighting in the small sounds you made, every curse, every breath of his name. Your next 'please' needed no further instruction as he increased his pace, his thumb reaching up to rub circles on your clit in time with each thrust of his wrist. Your hand reached to grasp as his bicep, holding tightly enough that you wouldn't be surprised if the silk was permanently creased. Mycroft grunted, wanting the feeling of you back on his skin, and he used his other hand to manoeuvre his shirt off his shoulders, parting from you momentarily to throw the item behind him. Your nails dug into the flesh of his upper arm, gliding round to scratch at the skin of his back, tracing the small, risen scars that littered the milky skin. It wasn't long until you felt the long forgotten knot in your stomach and your body shudder. You came with a small cry of Mycroft's name in his neck, lazily kissing at the skin as you came down from your high.
"Was that-" You let out a laugh and shook your head in disbelief.
"Darling, I can assure you that okay doesn't cover the half of it." You pulled up your trouser bottoms and shuffled to sit up, pulling the elder Holmes with you, and grinned. "But as wonderful as you look all roughed up and as comfortable as I am, we need to go for a shower before the comfort runs out."
"We?"
"Mmm." You hummed. "It may be selfish of me but, now I've seen you without one, I don't think I ever want you to put a shirt on again. Scouts honour I'll stay above the belt." You grinned, holding three fingers in the air before standing from the bed and offering your hands out to Mycroft. "Only if you want me to, anyway." You winked, tugging him forward as he took your hands and entered the bathroom.
---
In all his 42 years on this planet, Mycroft Holmes had never understood the trope of a couple sharing a shower. It was something he had often seen on television, or read in books. The tales of the husband and wife who shared more showers than they had alone, or the adventurous university student who often dragged his companion into the bathroom before a lecture. But now he felt he understood the appeal completely. Though joked beforehand, nothing sexual had occurred during the shower but, as Mycroft had mentally noted, that only made the occasion all the more intimate. For a man who hated every inch of his body, Mycroft Holmes had never felt more confident and loved as he did beneath the water with you. You had insisted on washing his hair, massaging your fingers in his scalp and playfully throwing the shampoo foam at him. You had been adamant to be the one to pass the sponge over his body, clean his skin with that favourite soap of his, then persist to follow the trail of water with your lips as the suds washed down the drain. Muttering compliments and words of adoration as you did so, looking at his body with love- not with disgust at his every blemish and mark, nor with excessive sympathy over his scars from back when he was more active in the 'legwork' department. Then when he had returned the favour, he felt every ounce of his embarrassment wash away with the soap. Allowing his fingers to roam through your hair, to clean your body. He had returned the compliments, telling you how truly wonderful you were, how he didn't deserve to be so lucky. Mycroft Holmes had travelled the world, saved countries, won battles against the world's most evil people. But he had realised, very quickly, that those forty five minutes were perhaps the best thing he had experienced in his life. Seconded only, perhaps, to the sight of you leaving the bathroom in nothing but his dressing gown. That was also very good.
---
After eventually getting dressed and heading downstairs for breakfast, you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket and read the text before pointing it in Mycroft's direction.
"Greg's asked if we're up for meeting him on his lunch break? Poor sod must miss our excellent company."
"It has been a while since we got together, excluding for the sake of business and being surrounded by my brother." Mycroft nodded. You sent the text back to Greg that you'd go and finished your food- then deciding to let Mycroft know you had just enough time to get in a few episodes of A Bit of Fry and Laurie before you'd need to get ready to go.
---
The pair of you met Greg at a small cafe about 10 minutes from the Yard. Mycroft had opted to go up to the counter and order your food, leaving you to get glared at by Greg at the table.
"What did I do?" You asked, waving your hand towards Mycroft who smiled at you from the till.
"That. I hate you. Both of you." Before you could ask anything else, Mycroft returned to the table with a tray of coffee and a little stand with an order number.
"Did I miss much?" He asked, dishing out the cups between you and taking his place at your side.
"Nah, just that I've grown to hate both of you with every ounce of my soul." Greg grinned, dipping a lotus biscuit into his mug.
"Oh I see. Well, I shall simply add you to the growing list. Though may I ask why?" Mycroft returned the grin. You nodded.
"Yeah, Lestrade. What gives? You can't say you hate a man who just bought you caffeine."
"The pair of you reek like a people that are having a healthy sex life which I hate for a multitude of reasons. Reason one, I haven't had sex for a very long time and I'm jealous. Reason two, you're like my little sister and the mere thought of that happening makes me want to heave and punch Mycroft in the face.. Reason three, I haven't had sex for a very long time and I'm jealous." The three of you laughed and you shook your head. "Honestly it feels worse now that even SHERLOCK is getting something. Every bloody day he points out that 'my hostility could be greatly improved via sexual release' and that he 'should know'. I hate it."
"How can everybody read about our sex life so easily? We've been in contact with seven people since the start and over half of them have guessed something. I dare say the other three only kept quiet as it was already out in the open from somebody else." You groaned, clasping your coffee in both hands to steal the warmth.
"I've never seen Mycroft look so relaxed, and the way you look at him now is even worse than when you forced me to watch 'Cry Wolf' with-"
"Oh God, Errol Flynn.." The noise you made saying his name shouldn't have been half as erotic as it sounded, but it got your point across.
"Exactly. Vile stuff." Greg faked a shudder before showing a toothy smile. "I'm only half mad, though. It's quite nice, actually, now that you've both grown a pair rather than mope around each other like star-crossed teenagers." He took a sip of his coffee. "Maybe one day you'll thank me. I did pick up extra shifts at the Yard after all.." He teased.
"That, or I send a letter of thanks to my psychopathic sister for derailing my emotional control." Greg choked and you laughed.
"You're an awful person.. Match made in heaven.. Or hell. I've not decided yet." As food arrived, conversation had slowed and calmed outside of the realms of evil siblings. Eventually, nature called and you headed to the bathroom, leaving the boys alone.
"I never did thank you." Mycroft spoke, crossing his cutlery over his plate and dabbing at the corners of his mouth with a napkin. Greg finished picking at his teeth with the tip of his knife and frowned. "For that night, after Sherrinford."
"Mycroft I was joking, you know that. You don't need to thank me- you'd have got together eventually." He laughed, resisting the urge to reach over and slap Mycroft's shoulder.
"Not for that. Just for the rest. For being genuinely happy to find me, and taking me home yourself. And for calling Y/N; setting up that arrangement. You and I both know I am far too stubborn to have done that myself. Just.. thank you." Mycroft averted his gaze from Greg, still unused to any form of displaying sentiment but feeling it was necessary.
"Still, you don't have to thank me. Despite your lack of the term in the Holmesian universe, the pair of you are the best mates that I have and it should be clear by now I'd do anything for you. With Y/N like my sister, you're also my unofficial brother-in-law. Though that's weird too because Sherlock's like my little brother as well which makes for one very dysfunctional family.. but I digress. I get rambly talking about this kind of stuff." Greg admitted, coughing down at his plate. Mycroft flashed a small smile.
"The affection is returned, Gregory, I assure you. You're correct in thinking that such a term wasn't really in my radar, but recent events have brought a lot of things to mind. It's true that I've never been the kind of man to hold associates, let alone friends, but had the list been long I truly believe you'd reach the top of the list for the best. Even before Y/N, from times beginning in Sherlock's youth, you've been exceptional. And so I thank you." Greg kicked at Mycroft's leg from under the table and grinned.
"God you've become a soppy bastard, haven't you?" You returned to the table to see the pair of them laughing at each other.
"What did I miss?"
"I think I've fallen in love with your boyfriend in the space of 5 minutes." You smirked and gave Mycroft's hand a quick squeeze.
"Ah yes, he does seem to have that effect on people.."
The end of lunch saw a promise that the three of you would meet for one of your old movie nights before you returned back to work and it was certainly something to look forward to. Until then, it was time for you and Mycroft to return home.. and if the pair of you stopped to say a brief hello to Hope and your prehistoric pals on the way then it only served to be an even better afternoon.

“What could he want with her?” Gregory was sitting by the kitchen table rolling a potato from one hand to the other while Sally peeled them one by one, dipping the peeled ones into water.
“You ask too many questions, you know,” Sally pointed the knife at him sprinkling water over his face.
Wiping it away without a thought, Gregory looked at the potato in his hand and spun it. “I mean, she is what? Fifteen years, maybe? Did you talk to Mrs. Hudson?” Gregory looked over to Sally expectantly.
Sally simply shook her head. Seeing his glum look she said, “She may be too young for him, but he does have to marry someday. And it will be easier to take care of Sherlock with a lady in the house.”
