#hageshi: daughter of fire

Meet Hageshi and Bhava, the two main characters from my upcoming A:TLA fic “Hageshi: Daughter of Fire”.

The main characters and couple of the story (The Avatar always gets the girl 😉), Hageshi is the female fire bending Avatar before Szeto. She’s Japanese inspired and an ace lesbian. Bhava is Afro- Indian (Ghanan- Indian specifically), and an air nomad, as well as pan ace.

I am so excited to start this fic next year, and to share Hageshi’s story with you all.

A reminder of what’s coming up for my fic projects!

‘Fiarosa and the Spirit Ember’, my She- Ra story, will be finished this summer or autumn. It tells the story of the lost fire princess and kingdom of Candila, inspired by the comic ‘Legend of the Fire Princess’.

Then in 2024, my Avatar story ‘Hageshi: Daughter of Fire’ will be written. I hope to write the whole story before posting this timed, so it might not be until later in the year. It tells the story of Hageshi, the female fire nation avatar seen in the lineup.

Introducing “Hageshi: Daughter of Fire”

The female fire Avatar before Szeto, Hageshi is the daughter of a fire nation general whose life is changed forever when she discovers she’s the new Avatar.

I don’t have a start date yet, but if you could help spread the word and get buzz going around about this project that would be amazing! Ever since I saw her in the lineup of Avatars I was fascinated by Hageshi, and I’m so excited to tell her story.

The backstory of the Fire Nation avatar before Szeto, Hageshi was the daughter of a general and powerful Avatar whose story would live on forever. She has spoken to me for some time now, and I cannot wait to share her tale with you all.

Introducing Avatar Hageshi

The daughter of a fire nation military general, Avatar Hageshi is fierce, a strong bender, and highly strategic.

When Hageshi was very young, her parents died in an attack on the palace led by angry colony rebels. Having watched her parents be murderered before her eyes, Hageshi made it her life’s mission to avenge her parents deaths and find the colony rebels who killed them.

This all changed, however, one day when Hageshi had just turned 16. Hageshi was called to the throne room, hoping she was being called to lead her first military mission.

Instead, she was told she was the Avatar, and that her life’s mission was now to being peace and balance to the world.
