[!] How to support EXID now and during their next comeback!
THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Hani has revealed that EXID is currently working on their next comeback and that we’ll be seeing them soon, and I want to point out that their contracts with Banana Culture end in May. This might be their last comeback. I’m not saying that it is but it has happened to groups in the past - they have one last comeback to see how well they do and then base their decision to whether stay as a group or not on the results. Which is why we need to do EVERYTHING we can for them NOW and when they come back.
Download the STARPASS app! Register and log in. Watch ads to earn silver stars - you can watch up to 5 ads per hour and you get 10 stars for every ad. 10 silver stars = 1 vote for the show! There are also other ways to earn silver stars: by doing missions you can earn hundreds of silver stars and a mission is usually to reach a certain level on a game or participate in surveys. Every day you can also post 2 photos and 1 youtube link - these posts will earn you 20 stars each! REMEMBER that every month on the 16th, the silver stars will be reset so if you haven’t converted them into votes, they’ll be DELETED. SO DO NOT FORGET TO CONVERT YOUR SILVER STARS TO VOTES BEFORE THE 16TH EVERY MONTH. You will be able to spend these votes on EXID every weekend during the voting for SBS MTV THE SHOW. Always save 3 votes for the live voting!
Download the IDOLCHAMP app! Log in using your google+, kakaotalk or facebook account! Make sure to open the app daily to receive 20 hearts. You can also earn hearts by participating in idolchamp’s quizzes. Save as many hearts as you can! 1 vote = 3 hearts!
Prepare accounts for streaming sites such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music and Shazam! Stream EXID’s past songs now until they make their comeback!
Stream EXID’s MVs on youtube now! All of them! You don’t need to login and you can use playlist to loop them. DO NOT use incognito windows and DO NOT refresh the page. After you’ve watched a video, do not switch to another page right away. LIKE all the mvs! Make tons of accounts and switch between them from time to time. Search for the MV manually and leave a lot of positive comments! You do not have to have the volume on maximum and you do not need to clear history/cookies. You CAN play the mvs in multiple browsers at the same time but on different accounts, do NOT use several tabs to play the videos! DO NOT MENTION ‘STREAM(ING)’ IN THE COMMENTS, it’ll freeze the views!
Download the Shazam app! The more you stream EXID’s songs on Shazam, the more radio stations will play their songs! They review Shazam data to determine what’s in demand and what to play!
Billboard Social 50 Chart ranks the most active artists on social networking sites! Leave comments/tag/reply/retweet/share/follow/subscribe/view EXID’s official account on facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube and wikipedia!
Tap the heart on EXID’s VLIVE videos!

A Fanta-Sea
Tumblr media
A/N: tagging @smols-n-tols bc they’re probably gonna be the ones naming this fic lmAo
Pairing: Wanna One’s Jihoon x Reader
Genre: Fluff (I’m actually getting the hang of it #bless)
Word Count: Roughly 1k
Summary: You, a rookie idol, have a chance encounter with Wanna One’s Park Jihoon, the boy that nae maeum seoge jeojang’d into your heart, in front of a vending machine backstage at M!Countdown.
You were walking down the hallways of the backstage area of M!Countdown with your group, MeloNic, trying to find your dressing room. Your leader, Hani, led the way through the bustling hallway and the remaining six of you followed suit, bowing to the sunbaes you passed by. “How much further are we going to walk? Heels are not the ideal shoes to be walking in,” the group’s maknae, Soorim, complained loudly from the back of the line. Hani shot her a quick glare before returning her attention back to the walls to find the small sign that indicated your dressing room. Hani then stopped abruptly in front of a door, causing you to bump into her, which caused the rest of your group members to just collide into you.
“You know Hani, maybe the graceful royalty concept wasn’t such a great idea,” you muttered as you assessed the looks coming from the other groups standing in the hallway. “It doesn’t matter now, just get in the room, kids,” she said, once again, leading the way.
You were sprawled on the couch of the dressing room waiting for your members to finish up hair and make-up. A sense of boredom quickly overcame you as Soorim asks the stylist, once again, to redo her braid. “Hani, I’m gonna go to the water fountain,” you shouted over the ruckus of your other members before leaving the room. You found yourself aimlessly wandering the hallway until you reached the vending machine, looking longingly at the soda inside of it; you figured that one soda wouldn’t warrant a harsh scolding from your manager. However, as you were rummaging through your pockets, you realized you left your cash inside your bag, which was all the way back inside the dressing room.
You let out a huff and proceeded to kick the machine until you heard a voice call out from behind you, “Uh, do you need some spare change?” You turned around to find yourself standing face to face with Wanna One’s Park Jihoon. Your eyes widened; it was common knowledge to your members and your fans that you happened to be a fan of Jihoon since the moment he “nae maeum seoge jeojang’d” into your heart, and it was common knowledge to everyone how obvious you made it known you were a fan of him. You prayed to God he didn’t have any free time to watch last week’s episode of Weekly Idol.
“Welcome to the show everyone, MeloNic!” Doni and Coni exclaimed before you and your group ran out onto the set.
Hani counted, “1, 2, 3,” and the rest of you completed the greeting, “Me~ Lo~ Nic~ Hello everyone, we’re MeloNic!”
Doni and Coni clapped for you guys before commenting, “That harmony in your introduction was nice, does that have to do something with your name?”
As the good rookies you guys were, you nodded eagerly before Hani explained, “MeloNic comes from the combination of the words ‘melody’ and ‘harmonic’ which means that we wish to show you our perfect melody while working in harmony!”
Fast forward to the profile rewriting time, and Doni commented on your profile, “It says here you’re a big fan of Wanna One’s Park Jihoon, care to elaborate on that?” You blushed at the mention of his name and slapped Soorim on the arm because you knew it was her that wrote such an incriminating fact on your profile.
“Wannables, please do not misunderstand, I just admire the fact he is able to adapt so well to different concepts on stage, please do not misinterpret my admiration for something else,” you said, going through the generalized statement your company gave you the moment they found out you made your opinion public.
However, Doni and Coni were not having it, “How about you send a video message to Jihoon? With aegyo, please!” Your members instantly cringed at the word “aegyo,” but Hani nudged your arm, telling you to do as you were said.
A shy smile crept across your face as you began your message, “Uh, hello Jihoon-sunbaenim, I hope you’re healthy and well, I’m listening to Wanna One’s song well, and it’s ver-”
Doni and Coni stopped you, “Sola, with aegyo, emphasis on aegyo. Try calling him ‘oppa’” You stared at them in horror; your group will be cast away to nugudom because of you. You tried protesting, but Hani nudged your arm.
You pouted at your leader before turning towards the camera again, “Jihoon-oppa, neo maeum seoge jeojang!” You even did the little hand symbol with the alternating winks, just to give them the satisfactory video call they wanted.
Coni stood up and clapped, “Beautiful, did you get that? Jihoon better watch this week’s episode!” You sunk lower into your seat.
“Uh, h-hello Jihoon-sunbaenim, uh, hello I a-am MeloNic’s main dancer, Sola,” you even bowed a perfect 90 degrees just so he couldn’t see your red cheeks.
“Yeah, I saw you guys perform your new song on Inkigayo last week. ‘White Knight’ right? That’s what your comeback title is called right?” he was in front of the vending machine now, pondering over his options.
“Uh yeah, it’s called ‘White Knight,’” you applauded yourself for not stuttering this time.
Jihoon had inserted a bill at this point, “Yeah, your dance break at 2:30 is pretty cool.” You turned to him in shock, 2:30 was a fan dubbed name for your dance solo; the fact Jihoon knew the timing of it piqued your interests.
“H-how did you know I have a dance break at exactly 2:30 in the song?” you asked.
He pulled out two drinks from the machine, “Well, you see here, I was in the dorm one day watching Weekly Idol, and suddenly there was a video call directed towards me. Now after watching this adorable idol do aegyo just for me, I had to check them out. I just happened to become a fan for the group in the process, specifically their main dancer, and I am now proud to call myself a Melon.”
You giggled at the way he unabashedly called himself a Melon, your group’s fans’ name, and blushed at the thought of Jihoon, the Park Jihoon, the nation’s wink fairy, being a fan of you. “T-thank you sunbaenim,” you bowed again, mainly to hide the reddening of your cheeks.
“No problem, Sola, anyways, here’s your favorite soda as stated in your V-live from Sunday.” He handed you the can and walked away. You, still recovering from the encounter, stayed rooted in place, until you noticed something stuck to the bottom of the can. You flipped it over to find a sticky note that said, “It’s nice to finally meet you, Sola! I became a Melon overnight, and I’ve always wanted to talk to you. If you want, text me at xxx-xxxx, hope you enjoy the soda!” You smiled at the note and pocketed it, making a mental note of the soda Jihoon got for himself from the vending machine.

Korean Media reports EXO-Ls yelled Derogatory Term to Wanna One  at 2017 ‘MMA’ + Uploader Releases Statement
The media reported that EXO-Ls were yelling derogatory terms to Wanna One as they sat down on their seats. It can also be heard that they were yelling curse words as well.

— Hani (@storyaboutagirl)
December 2, 2017
Fans were yelling ‘why are you sitting?!’, ‘go sit behind!’, ‘why are you sitting on EXO’s seat?’, ‘the middle? Why is he sitting in the middle? Are you kidding me’
They were also heard using a derogatory term ‘jjam bap,’ which is basically a sort of hierarchy used in the school, army, or the work force based on experience/the amount of rice 'bap' you've eaten over the course of your life. Because Wanna One sat in the front, fans were caught on fancam yelling at them to get to the back because they don't have enough 'jjam bap' to sit there.
Tumblr media
Netizen comments:
1. [+1,555, -51] So while their own artist is up on stage giving an award speech in informal speech, their fans are down there acting as if 'jjam bap' matters, tsk tsk. I hope you guys realize that there were a lot more singers with more experience than your own. 2. [+1,451, -54] The fandom = EXO stupid fangirls 3. [+1,367, -46] Didn't know teens argued over 'jjam bap' too... 4. [+220, -6] Wow... what did Wanna One to deserve being told something like that;;? It's not like EXO's names were written on those seats 5. [+217, -7] EXO's fans have gone way too far lately to just say it's a portion of them acting out like this. It's all those antics that stack up and create an image for the fandom. Like the fans say, they have enough 'jjam bap' of their own since it's been a long time since EXO's debut and yet they still haven't matured at all. 6. [+197, -5] Imagine swearing at a singer's face like that... ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ so low class 7. [+178, -4] Why does Wanna One deserve this treatment?? Those seats didn't have names on them, they were told to sit there by staff. Who should they have listened to? 8. [+169, -1] It's so disrespectful to swear at someone's face like that whether it's a celebrity or not 9. [+160, -2] This is verbal abuse, please apologize 10. [+160, -4] Who do they think they are to be telling others what to do? 11. [+150, -4] Not the first time that fandom's been known to act up 12. [+148, -2] We did not work so hard to debut Wanna One for them to be yelled at by the likes of you. If you think your own group is precious, so are other groups. They were told to sit there by staff. Even if they sat there on their own accord, that still isn't something to warrant being yelled at like that. 13. [+136, -2] I'm so upset ㅠㅠ why do my innocent members need to be sworn at like that ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 14. [+130, -5] I saw the video and they were saying worse swears... what's wrong with EXO fans? 15. [+127, -2] Hul that's harsh
But the uploader of the video released a statement saying it wasnt EXO-Ls:

I’m currently writing this post in an airy chain boulangerie called Eric Kayser, a short walk from where I’m staying in PARIS, FRANCE. I left Cairo less than a week ago, and I’m only just getting a chance to process the experience I had and all the things I learned here in my next destination (Where better to tackle bread from the culinary perspective than Paree, dahling?) Cairo was a whirlwind, and my first few days in Paris have been equally eventful (but in a different way, of course) but now, as the workweek begins and I’ve settled in to my flat, I’d like to go back to Egypt before any of the memories begin to escape me.
Cairo is a wonderful place, and I’m so grateful to all of the people I met during my too-short stay. Amira, Hany, Farah, Nesma, Jana, Prof. Abdel Aziz; I’m so grateful to you all for guiding me through your city, letting me learn from you, and making everything so easy for me.
Like the foolish westerner I am, I pulled up to Cairo not knowing a word of Arabic, and Cairo really could have played me! It is not the Western world, and although a historically international/cosmopolitan city, the African nation’s strong ties to the Arab world are unmistakable, and you will struggle, and/or be tourist-trapped, if you don’t speak Arabic. Finding “point people” on the ground for my stay was essential to making my experience as fulfilling as it was. This post isn’t actually about bread-stuff though; for that, check out @chisgetsthisbread on IG!
Do ya’ll mind if I pen a quick love letter to Cairo? Cairo deserves a love letter, and I’m in Paris and feeling a bit romantic.
Off the bat, Cairo appears to be a city of convergence, and therefore a city ridden with inherent conflicts.
The powerhouse of Northern Africa, nestled between the shores of Western Europe and the edges of the Middle East, Egypt has entertained “foreign” influences and occupation for as long as it has existed, while somehow managing to preserve its uniqueness, thus forcing the cultures and aesthetics from different times and regions to mesh together to form something rather disjointed, yet fascinating. And, of course, unmistakably beautiful.
Although officially under British influence under 1922, the French, in classic French-imperial style, have left their mark on Cairo as well. It was Napoleon’s discovery of the Rosetta Stone during his conquest of Egypt in 1799 that is credited with launching the field of “Egyptology”, and although his efforts were likely a cover for his political intentions, the French endeavored to create scholarship on many parts of Egyptian life, a trend that continued for decades (strengthened by consistent allyship between the two nations against the British in later years, and Egyptian scholastic “missions” to Paris, and). Parts of Downtown Cairo were designed by French architects in the mid-late 1800s, and the style is hard to miss:
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
I like this photo so it gets to be blown up full size!
Look at the right side of the shot in particular; the quintessential french balconies were found all over the place! This is close to the Khan El Khalil Market. I also like this picture because you have the “French” balconies, the “Arab” dome, and the tall gate next to the half finished/half destroyed building on the right side reminds me of Nigeria (that sounds unfortunate but hey).
The convergence and conflict continue past imperialism and architecture. The mostly-Islamic country has tangoed with the Muslim Brotherhood in the last several years; yet the Holy Family themselves allegedly passed through the Coptic Christian section of Old Cairo, and approximately twenty percent of Egyptians are Christian (and this number could be even greater).
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
“New Cairo”, where I stayed, is about twenty minutes away from downtown on a day with no traffic, and reminds me of Dubai with its smooth, new roads, the apparent opulence, and the proliferation of “Western” brands in the area. Yet on the way there, you might catch a horse drawn cart on the outermost lane of the highway, or swerve to avoid some crushed melon that surely fell off the back of one of these same carts.
It’s a mish-mash of a city in all the best and worst ways; cultures from all over the world come together, as do religions, but there is wealth and poverty within inches of one another, and slums next to billboards for luxury apartments. On my drives from New Cairo to Downtown, I often thought about how the country became what it is today. Egypt is historic in the way many places aren’t, yet I still know so little about the country. I’m looking to change that, and have made some strides in the last few weeks-
Here are some things I can tell you I know for sure though:
The aftershocks of uprisings/ revolutions in 2011 and 2013 are still being felt today. The words to describe the events change depending on who you’re talking to, and talking about the President, the government, and even bread in relation to the government subsidy can be a bit controversial. This mural created during the 2011 protests is on the side of the old campus of the American University in Cairo, and was considered graffiti by the government-
In other Arab countries, bread is called “khabaz” which is pronounced sort of like “Hobbes”, but in Egypt bread is called Aish; which translates to life or “livelihood”
The University continues to paid to keep it from being erased, preserving it for visitors and passerby to see and remember the uprising, and who it was for, and what it’s aims were. This boy is eating Tameya (falafel made from fava beans) which is served inside the ever-recognizable aish baladi bread (traditional Egyptian bread).
If you’re black with braids, or kinky type 4 hair, you’ll be presumed to be from Sudan; they’re neighbors, were once ruled over together, and the revolution in Sudan has left many refugees. But when the woman in the market founds out you’re Nigerian, she’ll still call you her sister anyway (Call it progress, or Cup of Nations fraternity, but the Pan-Africanism I experienced in Egypt was real. Fellow Africans were charged less at many tourist destinations).
Traffic lines are suggestions in Cairo, as are seatbelts, and the car horn acts as a turn signal,  a greeting, a thank you and a curse. The crescendo created by an Egyptian traffic jam was unlike anything I had heard before; until I was introduced to a celebratory car horn crescendo after Egypt won a Cup of Nations match.
Koshary was meant to be eaten with friends; and if you weren’t friends before a meal, you’ll be friends after.
There’s more to Cairo than a day trip to the pyramids and photo-ops at a mosque; if you skip downtown you haven’t seen the city, and you’ve definitely missed my favorite part: a small island called Zamelek, where you can catch hipster vibes and a boat ride on the nile for 50 LP per person if you speak Arabic and get a bit lucky (that’s about $3).
And on that boat ride, as your trip comes to an end, you’ll plug a phone in and play someone’s favorite song. You’ll look out into the water illuminated with the neon lights of your boat and others, reflect a bit, breath in the fresh air peppered with bits of that kerosene/gasoline scent you just can’t escape in Africa …
And you’ll look at it and you’ll know “it is good”.
Very good, in fact.
Grateful to God and all those who have enabled this trip to be what it has been for me so far.
As always, Peace and Blessings!
MissChis
P.S.: So there’s someone who I GUESS deserves a shout-out in this post as well: I’d like to thank my younger brother Toby for coming along on this segment of the trip. Despite some bickering and me dragging you up and down the city, thanks for being a good sport and cheers to sibling bonding! Cairo is quite a safe city in my estimation, but it does help to have a 6ft male by your side who has thankfully outgrown his Kids-Next-Door phase:
Kids Next Door Phase: The point in time (typically around ages 12-16) where one’s head, hands, and feet are actively out of proportion with a long/lanky body, and particularly skinny ankles.
A Love Letter to Cairo I’m currently writing this post in an airy chain boulangerie called Eric Kayser, a short walk from where I’m staying in PARIS, FRANCE.

Another story, another experience.
“Karena Allah punya rencana yang indah dan Allah pasti memberikan yang terbaik untuk umat-Nya”.
Kalimat itu mungkin sangat pas untuk postingan Amoi kali ini. Still can’t imagine that one day i can involved in debate competition. Masih tergambar dengan jelas jaman masih maba, dari awl udh interest banget sama HEDS, but i’m feeling shy untuk jdi bagian dri HEDS. Sempat putus harapan and decided to joint another UKM di Univ selain HEDS. Tapi who knows Allah memberikan jalan untuk Amoi sampai pada akhirnya bisa involved di lomba debat, walaupun tingkat lokal but i still appreciate my self cause i never know about debate before.
Masih inget dlu cuman sering ngeliat orang debat di atas podium, telling their arguments and it’s so W.O.W. Masih inget dlu cuman bisa blg “we called the 1st speaker of.....”. Who knows hari itu Amoi diberi kesempatan yang sama seperti apa yang Amoi impikan dlu, telling my arguments in front of people on the podium :).
PDO memberikan kisah tersendiri buat Amoi, lomba pertama Amoi di Univ and also in debate world. Saat lomba sekaligus liburan jadi satu paket, walau cuman di Parepare (salah satu kabupaten di SulSel) setidakny keluar dlu lah dari penatnya dunia perkuliahan dan riuhny kota Makassar. My first experience keluar kota sama tmen2, even udh prnh bbrp kali keluar kota sma tmen2 tpi kali ini tergolong beda krn only several people yg pergi, jdi bounding ny kerasa banget (abaikan), my first experience keluar kota sendiri cewe, di sini ngeerasa banget how they treat me as a women, yg g trlalu dimanja banget tpi ttp care, yg klw pagi2 lbh mlih triak “amooiii, udh bangun?” drpd gedor2 hahahhaa, mreka menjaga banget privasinya Amoi as the only girl, mastiin Amoi udh mkan, dll, tp di sisi lain Amoi bljr untuk mengatur keungan group as the only girl yg ad d stu, sejak pertama dftr sampe hari terakhir, dari biaya bensin smpe penginapan, another experience d luar dunia debat wkwkwkkwkw.
Nggak pernah ad plan untuk ikt lomba ini, sblmny puny plan untuk ikt lomba dr organisasi sebelah, tpi ntah bbrp kendala (and i believe mnurut Allah itu bukn yg trbaik) akhirnya nggak jdi pergi. Sempet ngerasa ksong banget, sampe akhirnya salah satu tmen from different university ngajakin trun di PDO, reminding itu lomba open so it’s able for us to become teammate, tp ntah kendala apa yg membuat kita g jadi se teammate. Sempet ragu sma capability ny Amoi ditambah canggung untuk ngelapor k tmen sendiri yg kemampuanny udh d atas rata2. Mungkin menurut Allah ini merupakan yg trbaik buat Amoi, ntah knp mulai dr proses nyari teammate sampe lomba bner2 lancar.
I choose Fiqri as my teammate, dan proses ngajak Fiqri untuk trun lomba juga g susah2 amet, pdh munurut orng2 Fiqri merupakan “kartu pokemon langka” hahahhahaha, tpi wktu itu iseng aj ngajak Fiqri, and he admit. Awlny sempet ngira Fiqri bercanda, krn like i said before, Fiqri udh rda susah untuk diajak trun debat, he more prioritize untuk aktif di dunia diskusi than dunia debat, alasan kedua Fiqri pinternya bukn main mau trun sma Amoi yg baru pertama kali bljr debat -_-, even dia udh vacuum bbrp tahun tp at least dia punya pengalaman d dunia debat. Jadi normal lah klw i thought Fiqri bercanda mau trun PDO, tpi taunya dia bneran mau trun.
Jadi yaa wajar klw Amoi g berharap banyak, yg Amoi mw cmn tau euphoria ny debat udh gitu aja, jdi jangan heran klw my team’s name is Team Hore, krn emng Amoi sma Fiqri mw jdi Team Hore di perlombaan itu hahahaa. Even dr awal sma kak Andri udh d wanti2 untuk team UNHAS untuk mempertahankan gelar champion d PDO, tpi dengan kapasitasny Amoi, yaah Amoi nyadar diri dong. Sempet tawar menawar sma kak Andri, akhirnya kak Andri ngasih challenge k Amoi dan Fiqri untuk at least msuk sampe semfinal, dan amoi ngerasa tantanganny ckup sulit krn ini lomba pertamanya Amoi :(.
Tapi Allah ngasih jalan yg terindah dalam hidupnya Amoi, stlh sempet kecewa krn g ikt NTU MUN, who knows Amoi bakal terjun k dalam dunia debat, dunia yg awalny Amoi liat skrng Amoi geluti, yg awlny cmn bisa liat orng debat skrng involved d debat.
Big Thanks to Kak Andri, my coach yang sabar banget ngelatih Amoi, my another teammate Melon yaitu Firman dan Hans yg membuat perjalanan menjadi menyenangkan dengan k recehan Firman dn pengetahuan umumny Hans yng membuat perjalanan sangat berfaedah, Kak Ayyub yg udh menjamu kami smw d hari pertama d parepare, mayanlahh makan malam gratis dengan view from the top of parepare city, dn lawakanny Kak Ayyub yg sdikit receh tp berhasil bkin Amoi ketawa :( (i know selera humorny Amoi perlu sdikit dibenah). Chairul my favorite N1 and also my N1 team, the strong man bolak balik pinrang-parepare, orng yg memberi ngebimbing Amoi dn selalu ngasih support in every prelim, every time i passed the prelim, thanks for your verbal chairul my favorite N1 ;;).
