Qin Kha Ottile Srivastava / A workaholic machinist

This character hasn’t always been exclusive to XIV, if anything I always liked making him in different game’s character customizations. Before I only had drawings and placed him in different universes or anything I was obsessed with at the time. Qin’s been more or less a muse for my art work and imaginary best friend since I was 13 yrs old. (I’m weird lemme alone.)

Qin has always been a tad introvert and selective about it, only coming out of his shell and outgoing with people he warms up too. Now of late he lives more carefree and opens up more easily, feeling less forced about putting himself into a public setting. He always carries a sarcastic and rowdy demeanor. When the time calls for it, Qin can be serious and strict.

Notable

His early work depended heavily on where he stayed, but he never stayed in one place for too long. Using what skills he had acquired from Azim Steppe, such as hunting and long distance combat, Qin became useful for bounty boards and quick jobs. Soon enough he found himself falling into the life of a mercenary and ran a small company for several years; Qin used it as a means to ship goods from Azim to Limisa and sell hired swords.

One day he found a passion for firearms. The once talented archer became enamored with them; to the point of commissioning his first firearm, He commissioned a custom-built Wander from the Skysteel Manufactory. Since then, it has become his passion to collect and care for each arm he acquired throughout the years. Today, he owns a total of five firearms that he himself modified, not counting his multi tool.

His Magitek tail is one of the many interesting features but how he gained the prosthetic though, is less interesting. Perhaps it’s one story kept between him and the multi-tool responsible. His multi-tool is an ever-expanding arsenal equipped with a: drill cannon, air anchor, chainsaw, and a grenade launcher. The last one was more or less the cause; a simple weapons test involving homemade explosives went horribly wrong. While the initial blast did not cause the majority of his injuries, shrapnel and infection did. Walking around with a stump for a tail didn’t bother him, but it did impact his quality of life. His stump caused balance issues in day-to-day life. A collaborative effort with colleagues and himself soon took off, where they began researching magitek and utilizing their engineering knowledge to fashion a prosthetic tail.

Backstory

Qin Ottile spent most of his childhood raised on the outskirts of the Azim Steppe, growing up in a small Kha village that accepted both Xaela and other races alike. It was there Qin’s mother met his father, a Midlander who traded in Reunion. During the war and unrest caused by the Imperial invasion, a rebellion of pirates from the Ruby Sea managed to broker a trade agreement with the Qestir, whom allowed them to trade fish for much-needed medical supplies. Qin’s father was among the few chosen to trade in Reunion, where he met her. A young Kha woman with dark skin and golden eyes, with scales black as a beautiful midnight. Her lovely smile stole his heart and he would never want to leave this place again. As time went on and trading continued, Qin’s father spent more time with her, even staying for nights on end. Eventually he would never return to the Ruby Sea again.

After living together in the Steppe for a time, the Kha woman would welcome a new life into the world; Half Xaela, Half Hyur. In spite of their love and preparation, nothing they could teach would steel Qin for the lifetime of bullying and bigotry that awaited him. Not fully Xaela. Not fully Hyur. He was stuck in between, constantly struggling to find the place where he fit among them. How do you teach your child to protect themselves from a word they shouldn't have to understand? Discrimination. In spite of being shunned by most of the Xaela, his mother taught him the ways of their people while his father, the pirate, would teach Qin how to defend himself. Even if it meant fighting dirty.

For years he endured, strengthened by the lessons of his parents…And of their people. His people. Qin became an excellent hunter, quite skilled with the bow handed down to him from his grandfather, using his prowess to bring home game for his parents to trade in Reunion. He held his own, proving that not only had he survived but that he thrived, able to protect himself and provide for his family. Amongst Xaela who prided strength above most else, he had at least earned a measure of respect. However, Qin would find his adventuring heart longing to experience the lands his father had spoken of until he, like his father, would leave the land he had known in search of more.

Current

Nowadays, Qin spends his life in Ishgard, working diligently as an engineer for the Skysteel Manufactory, residing within the newly built Empyreum. With old comrades and new, they run a new company where Qin happily spends his days crafting firearms and any invention that comes to mind.

How he found himself where he is now is shrouded in a haze of fractured memories. Bits and pieces of his past life as a mercenary, familiar faces forever blurred, a life in Limsa Lominsa running a company with a forgotten name with freelance adventurers and dear friends alike, all lost in the recesses of Qin’s mind to never recover no matter how much he has tried.

But as old memories fade, new ones arise with just as much curiosity…

The sting of ice and the stench of blood fill Qin’s senses as he stands alone in the alleyways of the Brume.

Or so he thought…

The flutter of wings and a bright turquoise light radiates around him, a memory that shines bright in his mind. A small colorful hummingbird, an uncanny resemblance to the tattoo, perches on his right shoulder. He remembered the voice, a warm voice that brought peace to his very soul. An assurance that even through all of his heartbreak, through all of this fear and doubt and darkness, that there was light, that there was a bright future ahead. Since that day, he came to know this small creature as Sorianna, his guardian, his friend.

One shot "Time was still"

Time was still, yet the signs of an unhurried morning slowly peaked it’s sleeping head out from the horizon. It was dark, still, and the silence deafened any and all ears, though slight movement could be heard from the single occupant within the small confines which the man, who sat at his desk, called an office. With whiskey on his breath, and the embers dancing to their death in a dying fireplace, there was life in this abyss of an office, yes….but it was as if time itself had ceased to be.

A striking eye of gold pierced through the ebony darkness, a feature that always caught anyone’s attention as it shimmered alongside it’s brother eye of chartreuse green, the two scanning the room. From a desk of elder wood and hanging uniforms with tattered, patched holes, to retired guns and a beaten down bow that out-ages it’s current master, there was history in this room. His mind leapt into wandering as his eyes reminisced, memories flooding his mind as he downcast his gaze to the hands that sat before him, one of which held his favorite beverage, whilst the other held something more…

An azure crystal that filled its surroundings with radiance, the crystal was held together by a tattered leather string, decorated with beads to match. A thumb caressed the crystal with affection, this object, this crystal, it meant something to him. His hand gripped and clutched his precious possession…

An abrupt sound of glass broke the eerie silence.

Red, crimson liquid dripped from the halfling’s grasp as shards of the once bottle of whiskey embedded into a callous hand. Overwhelming feelings washed over the small half-Xaela, with tears forming slowly whilst mouth gaping for a scream that never came. Frustration, a clutched bloodied hand raised up, only to crash down onto the elder wood of the desk. The desk was stained with blood, tears, and emotions….yet time was still.

Comfort never came. The only solace Qin could find was rocking his body, back and forth, back and forth, a rhythm that his body knew too well. Over and over, as if a babe in its crib. Doubt filled his heart as the golden eye never left the glisten of the crystal. It was his anchor, his strength, and yet….the darkness, the bastard who went unseen, ate at him, as if a wolf starved of elk, ripping and tearing at his corpse with no end in sight. His heart, soul, his body felt numb. Hues of pink and orange hinted from the outside world, a new dawn was approaching.

Fear, his worst enemy. Failure, doubt, the willingness to believe in himself…it was shattering every fiber in his being, chipping away at the little hope that remained.

Yet time was still.

Qin and Sarnai Kha

Sarnai and Qin had formed an unbreakable friendship as children. You would think they were bothers and sisters, given how close they were. Growing up and living next door to each other, their families practically did everything together. It would have fooled anyone into thinking they were just one big family.

The pair would always start their day doing morning chores together before running off and playing. Sarnai and Qin were so inseparable that their own mothers used to tease them, asking if Qin would be the next Khagan and Sarnai his Nhaama. This obviously embarrassed the two, but everyone knew if fate had kept on its path, they would have ended up together as a bonded pair.

Sadly, that day never came. Sarnai had returned to the lifestream at the tender age of 8 after a tragic hunting accident on Qin's 10th birthday. The young boy had cornered a small game animal, but the commotion had attracted a baras, which had attacked him and Sarnai. It had left Qin with only minor injuries, but his sister... While it was never entirely his fault, he still carried her death in his heart. He was foolish and naive, only wanting to prove his worth. His ego and desire to constantly fit in had led to his sister's fate.

DAY 4

HOT AIR BALLOON TIME!!!!!!

ini yang aku tunggu tunggu, aku pada hari awal sampai Goreme udah harap harap cemas. semoga anginnya bersahabat biar aku bisa ngalamin naik balon udara di kapadokia!! dan sehari sebelum terbang aku udah di WA dari pihak tur jika besok kami akan dijemput di hotel.

turnya berasa singkat banget. 2 jam aja kayak 1 detik diatas sana. alhamdulillah salah satu cita citaku yang jadi seperti drone kesampean. emang indah banget ngeliat semuanya dari atas; sunrise, jalanan, ladang warga, little kapadokia.

aku pulang dengan perasaan masih ngga percaya. Am I really in Kapadokia? What if this is all dream and suddenly I wake up still on my bed?

setelah sampai hotel, aku ada sedikit explore ke bangunan sekitaran hotel. ngga nyangka aja ini hari terakhir di Goreme.

sarapan terakhir di Goreme. Im gonna miss that hazel eyes guy.

ketika check out, aku disaranin sama owner Hotelnya buat ke Bandara naik Shuttle Bus aja karena kalo pakai bus umum harus oper naik taksi nantinya. aku iyain aja karena kata jwestbros taksi di turki mahal gila. oh ya, sambil menunggu dijemput bus aku dan mba linda sempet jalan jalan ke Pasabag. sumpah udaranya sejuk banget meski hampir jam 1 siang!

sampai di Bandara Kayseri 40 min before depart dan masih bisa kekejar semua. aman lah. see you soon Istanbul!

Sampai Istanbul jam 6 sore, habis ambil bagasi langsung nyari bus ke Taksim Square trus jalan ke Hotelnya, aku check in di Taksim Sem House Hotel.

aku lupa kami sempet makan malem apa engga hahah.

DAY 5

di hari ke 5 ini, jadwalnya kami ke Masjid Camlica, tapi sebelum itu aku mencari toko yang jual istanbul card setelah masuk ke salah satu grocery shop dekat hotel, bapaknya bilang, kamu turun ke bawah nanti ada mesin istanbul card, lu beli deh disana. oke deh, aku harus ke mesin jualan istanbul card dulu.

lanjut yaa, Masjid Camlica ini merupakan masjid terluas di Turki yang dibuka untuk umum dan diresmikan oleh Pak Erdogan pada Bulan Maret 2019. Masjid ini berdiri di area seluas 90 hektar serta bisa menampung 63,000 jamaah. Untuk arsitekturnya sendiri Masjid ini menggabungkan gaya arsitektur era Usmani dan Seljuk. Masjidnya emang bener bener indah sama seperti kebanyakan masjid lainnya di Turki. betah banget ngeliat bangunan bangunan indah begini.

setelah keliling masjid camlica, kami akhirnya mampir makan ke resto seberang masjid buat brunch.

brunch over lanjut jalan jalan ke taman deket jembatan 15 Temmuz Sehitler by bus, cuaca diluar bus terlihat gerimis deras. mau ngga mau kami harus neduh dulu. gerimis reda kami lanjut foto tapi setelah foto foto sejenak masih aja gerimis. akhirnya kami memutuskan untuk balik ke hotel.

DAY 6

paginya dapet email kalo Tour Basilica Cistern kami buat hari ke 7 di cancel. usut punya usut karena kasus covid di Turki meningkat. tapi ngga papa deh, tetep aja aku explore Hagia Sophia dan Blue Mosque. untuk transportasinya sendiri mudah banget menurutku. aku ngandelin maps dan information board yang ada di setiap bus/train stop. sebelum masuk ke area sultanahmet square, barang barang diperiksa oleh polisi. setelah clear baru boleh masuk. aku ngga tau sih sejak kapan ada pemeriksaan barang oleh polisi disetiap titik entrance gate ke Hagia Sophia dan Blue Mosque tapi yang aku tau kalo pernah ada insiden bom bunuh diri pada 12 Januari 2016 di area German Fountain (masih termasuk ke Area Blue Mosque) yang menewaskan 13 orang.

masjid yang aku tuju pertama kali adalah Blue Mosque, Masjid yang ada di seberang Hagia Sophia ini dibangun pada tahun 1609–1616 yang sampai saat ini masih aktif digunakan sebagai tempat ibadah umat muslim. Arsitekturnya memang indah banget. aku baca di artikel soal penamaan masjid biru ini karena interiornya dilapisi oleh lebih dari 20.000 ubin Iznik buatan tangan yang memesona. Ubin itu terbuat dari keramik yang berwarna pirus dengan desain tulip merah. Selain itu, lantai dua masjid juga dicat biru dengan cahaya matahari yang masuk melalui lebih dari 200 jendela kaca patri. sewaktu aku masuk dan sholat di masjid ini, aku ngga bisa melihat detail lantai karena ditutupi oleh karpet hijau tebal.

setelah sholat Zuhur usai aku beranjak ke Hagia Sophia. Masjid yang awalnya bangunan Kathedral Ortodoks terbesar di dunia sampai dengan tahun 1520 ini memang super indah. Setelah Konstantinopel ditaklukan oleh Dinasti Usmani pada tahun 1453. Dibawah kepemimpinan Sultan Mehmet II Gereja ini kemudian diubah menjadi masjid yang mana beliau memerintahkan semua simbol/lambang kristen ditutup dengan kain hitam. Masjid ini sempat ditutup pada tahun 1931 dan dibuka kembali pada tahun 1935 - 10 Juli 2020 sebagai museum oleh pemerintah sekuler turki.

Aku baru berkesempatan mengunjungi Hagia Sophia pada November 2020, yang mana sampai waktu aku berkunjung Hagia Sophia dikembalikan lagi fungsinya sebagai Masjid.

setelah kagum kagum dengan keindahan arsitektur hagia sophia aku berencana berkeliling komplek alun alun sultan ahmet, mengunjungi German Fountain yang merupakan hadiah dari Kaisar Jerman Wilhelm II untuk memperingati kunjungan kedua Kaisar Wilhelm II ke Istanbul.

setelah aku keliling dan ambil gambar sekitar, mba linda mau ngambil cash di HSBC dan kebetulan ATMnya harus jalan kurang lebih 10 menitan dari area sultanahmet maydani. sepanjang kami jalan, kami disapa beberapa orang yang ternyata penjual karpet atau penjual apapun lah, jadi waspada ya guys, kalau disapa atau dideketin siapapun mereka bakalan insist kamu untuk beli barang barang mereka (its okay kalo kamu mau beli, tapi kalo kamu ngga mau beli, they will use many ways to make you buy). setelah ambil cash kelar, kami balik ke arah hagia sophia lagi untuk makan dan untuk explore peristirahatan terakhir sultan mahmud II.

lumayan laper dan mampir makan di Meşhur Sultanahmet Köftecisi. tau resto ini dari youtube-nya jwestbros dan emang enak banget sih, nasi dan kofte (bakso grilled) enak banget, ngga nyesel lah kalo makan disini berkali kali.

habis makan, lanjut sholat ashar dulu ke Nuruosmaniye Mosque trus lanjut lagi jalan pemanasan ke Grand Bazaar buat besok beli oleh oleh.

tak lupa sekalian sholat maghrib di Masjid Suleymaniye juga, pokoknya selama di Turki aku berusaha sholat di masjid manapun. karena selain bangunannya indah, kapan lagi sholat di masjid turki?

setelah lelah berkeliling kami balik ke taksim dan sesampainya di taksim square aku kelaperan dan pengen makan mekdi.

DAY 7

wake up dan siap siap ke Topkapi Palace! jadi museum yang akan aku kunjungin kali ini adalah bekas Istana Sultan Usmani yang dibangun mulai tahun 1459 atas perintah Sultan Mehmet II. bangunannya terdiri dari 4 courtyard, masing masing courtyardnya ada beberapa bangunan. yang aku suka dari tur museum kali ini, ada bangunan para nabi yang isinya ada: jubah, pedang, rambut, bekas telapak kaki nabi muhammad, jubah fathimah, pedang para khalifah, kunci ka'bah dari generasi ke generasi, maket dome of rock palestine, surat pertama dalam islam yang menggunakan cap resmi dari nabi muhammad dan masih banyak peninggalan lainnya.

selesai dari topkapi, aku merasa lapar dan pengen explore kuliner selain kebab karena aku yakin perutku ngga akan muat meskipun belum makan berat seharian. aku putuskan untuk makan soup khas turki yaitu di Karaköy Çorba Evi.

untuk menuju ke toko sup ini jelas aku mengandalkan maps dan tram, tokonya lumayan ramai di luar dan sewaktu aku masuk, ada 3 kursi kosong di dalam! setelah memesan sup aku langsung makan tanpa banyak basa basi dan emang enak banget! ngga salah emang reviewnya di gmaps bagus bagus. menu rekomen: sheep soup.

sehabis bayar, aku liat maps - niatnya mau pulang atau explore lagi, eh ternyata tempat sup ini deket banget sama galata tower, ya udah deh explore aja ke galata by feet!

tiket masuknya 30 TL, untuk naik ke towernya naik lift dan turunnya lewat tangga. tempat ini ramai mendekati sunset, karena sunsetnya dramatis banget, keliatan gitu selat bosporusnya.

setelah puas explore galata, kami ke spice bazaar buat beli turkish delight (kebanyakan toko pada tutup sih, jadi begitu nemu toko turkish delight yang buka, aku langsung samperin aja hahaha)

oke, habis dari spice bazaar kami lanjut ke Bandara buat PCR test.

selagi nunggu hasil PCR keluar, aku sholat jama' maghrib dan isya' di bangku bandara karena musholla cewe under construction!

habis sholat trus laper, untung ada mcdonalds!

DAY 8

jam 3.30 masih stuck di bandara buat nungguin PCR result! gila. begitu kelar langsung balik naik bus dan subuhan di hotel trus tidur!

kira kira jam 9 pagi kebangun dan lanjut belanja ke Spice Bazaar lagi hihi. belanja kali ini lebih cepet sih, karena selain ngejar waktu checkout, kami juga udah apal pasarnya hahha.

oh ya, sempet nge-brunch juga di Meşhur Filibe Köftecisi. sayang, bisanya cuman take-away. jadi aku makan tu bakso di taman deket resto.

abis makan, kenyang. langsung deh balik hotel. ekspres banget emang. checkout masih sejam lagi sih.

jadi aku masih sempet packing dan beli jajanan lagi di toko deket hotel.

jam 1 siang mulai jalan ke Havabus Station.

sesampainya di Bandara, sempet ada drama. jadi pesawat yang aku tumpangin itu harusnya berangkat jam 8.10 PM tetapi ada reschedule jam 12 siang atau jam berapa lah aku ngga tau, karena ngga ada pemberitahuan di email akhirnya aku dikasi opsi mau balik malem itu juga tapi nunggu di Doha 12 jam atau balik besok dengan jadwal yang sama. karena aku ngga mau nunggu lama di Doha, akhirnya aku pilih opsi terakhir. semua akomodasi ditanggung pihak Qatar (Hotel + Transport). ini adalah pengalaman yang ngga akan aku lupakan dan aku sejak itu berdoa, "God, semoga aku dimampuin buat naik Qatar terus wherever I go" servicenya keren banget gitu loh (mohon maap udik, baru kali ini naik Qatar dan baru kali ini keluar negeri hahhaa)

DAY 9

bangun bangun masih di Hotel dan bener bener pengennya rebahan aja sampe jam 4 sore. ngga banyak sih yang aku lakukan di hotel selain berdiri di balkon dan ngeliatin jalanan luar Tuzla. Gosh, Im going to leave this city. sedih banget. rasanya pengen lama aja di Turki. rasanya pengen ikutan ujian kemenlu dan lolos terus dapet penempatan di Turki. Aaamiiinn.

udah ah, aku ngga mau cerita lagi gimana rasanya aku ninggalin negara yang indah itu. aku skip sampe CGK aja.

DAY 10.

sampai CGK trus makan di BK karena kelaperan padahal udah dapet meal di pesawat dan semua meal ludes dalam sekejap (kecuali puding dan Couscous). makan kelar, lanjut ke Gambir naik Blue Bird Bus dan this is where i say, "see you soon wild adventure."

note 1: sebenernya bisa lebih hemat kalo pas ke museum langsung beli tiket di TKP tanpa guide dijamin murce.

Hair: Messy and usually kept short in what she fondly refers to as ‘duckbutt’ style. One longer side-braid, as is common in traditional Viera styles.

Eyes: Golden-hazel. Can pick up tints of reds and oranges depending on natural lighting or surroundings. Inherited limbal rings don’t show fully, but give her eyes a slightly luminous glow, especially in low light.

Height: On the slightly shorter side of average.

Build: Deceptively lean at first glance, L’enore has some muscle to her and works hard to maintain a physique that can keep her alive in ‘the business’.

Distinguishing Marks: Has some scars on her face, upper back, and arms. Black scales around the base of her tail and up onto her hips.

One month

Really quick one shot, I had to get this idea out, it was just too sweet!

Yaz woke up in a sweat. Not unusual. Except this was the good kind of sweat. The ‘I can’t believe my imagination can be that sexy’ kind of sweat.

About a month ago, she built up the courage to pose the idea of her and the Doctor dating. Doctor, I need you. I don’t just need you, I want you. All of you. All your curves and edges. All your perfect imperfections- her mind started to ravel into song. What she ended up saying was something much less confident, much more cautious. “Doctor,” so far so good “y’know, with all that’s going on, all the stars around us, all the action... um, maybe a little down time would do us good?” She fiddled with her hands, sort of mimicking what was going on in her brain. The Doctor, not totally oblivious, picked up on that and took a step forward, gently placing a hand on Yaz’s arm. Her muscles were all tense and the Doctor had to pull away before her mind completely short circuited “I thought we could watch the stars on the roof of the TARDIS? Y’know, to calm down from all the running.” The Doctor practically lit up with the idea, but her face contorted into one of concern.

“Are you sure Ryan and Graham are up for this?” Okay, maybe she was really quite oblivious. “I mean, Ryan with his dyspraxia and Graham would be worrying about how we’re not being torn apart by the vacuum of space or how we’re staying on the roof in the first place or-“ Yaz cut her off before she forgot what her point was.

“I meant just us? Just me and you. You’re the best person I’ve ever met but I want to get to know you better. Is that okay?” The Doctor agreed, wanting to get to know the young woman too.

So, they had been dating for a month. Mostly hand holding while walking around foreign planets, in restaurants sitting so close to each other that playing footsies under the table was inevitable, stealing looks from each other when they were in the company of Ryan or Graham. It was all quite sweet. Sweet was not all Yaz wanted though.

With some newfound confidence settling in her from that dream, Yaz got out of bed. Swinging both legs off the side and pushing herself up with arms strong enough to floor a Timelord, she checked her watch resting on the cabinet beside her. Keeping track of time has proven difficult when you’re travelling through it. She didn’t want to know what time it was though, she was making sure the guys were still asleep. Thankfully they were. Brilliant she thought, although it wasn’t her voice in her head. It was the voice of the other person in her dream who woke her up before the best part. Shrugging an oversized jumper on over her shorts, she headed into the maze of corridors in search for that voice. Meandering through dimly lit paths, running a hand along the wall, she swore she felt the ship purr.

It wasn’t long before she found that distinctively bubbly voice. She rounded the corner to lay eyes on... nobody? Taking a tentative step toward what looked like long, glowing eels dangling from a hole in the ceiling, power cables, she called out “Doctor?” Not even half a second later, two hands gripped the edge of the hole before a goggled ball of blonde hair made its appearance.

“Yaz! Yasmin Kha- Woah!” The Doctor’s hands slipped. Falling head first, and fast, towards the hard floor. A shriek came from both women before the Doctor’s head met cold metal. Except it didn’t. “Yaz? What happened? Where are you?”

“Doctor!” The Blonde was hanging upside down by the ‘eels’. Her apron had fallen in front of her face and she couldn’t see. Yaz rushed over, lifting the apron to reveal a rather red-in-the-face Doctor. She stifled a laugh as she draped the apron over her own head. With both hands now free, Yaz slowly moved the Doctor’s goggles down to meet her hairline. Hazel-green eyes now available to gaze into, Yaz took the opportunity to get lost in them.

“Yaz?” It came out as a whisper, all sound having left her body as she fell. It was all Yaz needed to pull her out of her thoughts and back to that one at the forefront of her mind. She leaned forward so that her lips ghosted over the Doctor’s.

“One month, Doctor.” Her voice low and her breath hot on the blondes lips. Lips that instinctively parted at the sensation. Yaz could feel the short, light huffs coming from the Doctor’s nose on her neck. She was taking too long, still not confident enough to bridge the gap, as the Doctor wriggled one hand free to grab Yaz’s jumper and pull her forward. Soft lips paired with lightheadedness left the Doctor in sorts. Getting lost in the moment, she really didn’t want to break the kiss but for fear off blacking out, she had to.

“Yaz, that was fantast -illiant!” All words in her head were jumbled up, like a game of Boggle.

“What?”

“Would you mind helping me down?” Growing redder with every second and finding it hard to see straight, although both could be because of the woman standing in front of her, she tugged her other hand out from the mass of ‘eels’ to place on Yaz’s shoulder.

“Oh right,” Yaz quickly but delicately grabbed the Doctor’s hand that still hadn’t let go of her jumper and placed it on her other shoulder “try wriggling your legs free?” She said as she lay one hand to the blondes back and the other got to work at loosening the ‘eels’ around her.

Once the Doctor was safely grounded and helped back to her feet, she buried fists in Yaz’s jumper again, crashing their lips together more passionately this time. Arms flinging themselves around the Doctor’s neck, one hand finding its way into her hair, Yaz wanted nothing but to stay like this forever. As fists weakened their grip and hands made their way to Yaz’s waist, pulling her impossibly closer, the Doctor deepened the kiss. Lightly running a curious tongue across the young woman’s bottom lip, gaining instant access, the Doctor coaxed a quiet moan from the back of Yaz’s throat. Pulling away felt torturous, “One month, Yaz.”
