the first nat 20 for henry, though? well, it's his first roll of the fight at the scales. y'know. right after shank says "now's about the time we usually skip town" and henry says "yeah, but let's see what happens if we stick around for a little bit"

henry makes up his mind. truly makes up his mind to stand and fight. and immediately crits for the first time.

zirk virvain is just the archetype of the mad Victorian scientist but. morally good. like. he drinks piss. he has mommy issues and a gun. his experiments give him free ombre hair dye. he injects sludge into his friends. he got beat up by 40 year old children. twice. he chews on a stirring rod during autopsies. he had sex through a magic bag one time. he found the cure to death. he didn't even bother testing it he just straight up died and it worked. he technically didn't kill god but his friends killed god's daughter which is close enough.

very funny to me that Murph is always citing Hank on the Short Rests as the prime example of "absolute nightmare for fan artists who have to try to make this cutoff-shorts-wearing, bowl-cut-sporting, single-exposed-nut man with the world's shittiest jean jacket look cool" but honestly no character design in NADDPOD history has been as difficult as trying to figure out how to make a frog look hot
