Saw the Mario movie today. It's amazing!!

While it's not a 100% perfect film (certain parts felt rushed, and others needed fewer pop songs), it still felt like a huge love letter to all things Mario and was super cute overall. I liked the voice acting more than I expected I would (Jack Black Bowser = PERFECTION), and the animation was beautiful. I hope there's a sequel because there's a lot of potential. 7/10 for me.

A moment in the Trial Stream that stuck to me was the interaction between Q!Mariana to Q!Slime for the first time when discovering the trial (to Slime) was going to be used against Mariana — and quietly, after hearing the news Mariana just says “Please don’t do this” and brugh my heart broke like he thought they TOGETHER were going to bring back their daughter. That no matter how much shit they throw at each other he still cared about their family, he stayed bc of JuanaFlippa. Even when she was gone Mariana stayed around he called Slime beautiful in that suit when no one (I think) else was around to hear it and he stuck around to break the both of them out of federal prison (ignore when he left Slime to die in the chase… whatever)

Point is even if Mariana wasn’t there as much as Slime was or that his love for his daughter wasn’t as loud as Slime’s is the love was still there and he did what he could.
