Note

Someone said something the other day about Tighnari being the type to hide his stress from overworking, and you said he's too straightforward to hide it.

But what if, because he's so blunt all the time even about small annoyances, people around him don't know he's actually suffering. I mean, since he's always complaining even about minor details, so his students or coworkers must believe he's just dramatic, so even when he's actually exhausted and says things such as "I can't do that, ask someone else to help you," or "go away, come back tomorrow," others just think he's irritated, instead of tired. So people are always afraid, instead of showing concern.

I just think it would be a fun dynamic, considering he's quite well-respected and powerful, but inside has a gentle, soft nature (we've seen his nurturing side just as often as his commanding side, after all!)

Of course, Cyno and Collei (and I think probably also Kaveh and Alhaitham, since they all hang out a lot right?) have a better understanding of when he's just acting dramatic and being blunt, and when he's seriously tired or stressed out. He doesn't need them to go overboard, but once in a while if they show him small gestures of their support and love, like bringing him food, or making him take a break while they watch over his work, even offering to help him in his studies (which I think could be boring to those who lack interest in plants and such), he'd enjoy that sort of thing a lot.

This was on my mind, hehe. (Sorry for the englishhhh)

You smiled and danced wildly with your best friend in the middle of the dance floor. Casey had been asking you forever to come to a Hispanic party with her, seeing as she’s Puerto Rican.

“Hispanic parties are always the most turnt, Chica!” She would tell you every weekend as a way to finally convince you to come with her.

You always turned her down for one reason, you can’t speak Spanish. You can say a few words, and that consisted of: burrito, taco, and hola. You feared people trying to communicate with you in Spanish and you staring at them blankly.

Nevertheless, you eventually figured “why not?”. Which brings you to right now!

Casey grabbed your hand and spun you around, continuing to do the Bachata. You watched her feet closely, trying not to make a mistake and step on her feet.

You both let out uncontrollable giggles at the end of the song, “I told you this would be fun, (y/n)! We could have been doing this every weekend!” Casey smiled, following you out of the center of the dance floor.

“Yeah yeah, I know, Case!” You playfully rolled your eyes, making your way to the drinks table.

You poured yourself and Casey a drink, “Hey, someone’s checking you out, babe.” Casey informed, nodding her head in the direction of a cute Hispanic boy heading your way.

You blushed and looked down, “He’s probably staring at you, let’s be real!” You giggled, gently nudging her. Casey shook her head and smiled brightly as the guy stopped almost directly in front of you.”

“Hola, me llamo Cesar. Y tú?” He smiled, showing brilliantly white teeth. His smile was oh so charming...

You stared at him embarrassed, “Uh.. taco..?” You said, unsure of what he just said.

Casey’s eyes widened and she burst out laughing, “(y/n), he said that his name is Cesar and he was asking your name too. Your name isn’t taco, chica. It’s (y/n).” Casey shook her head in mock disappointment.

Cesar let out a light chuckle and pushed his hands into his pocket, “I speak English too, (y/n).. I just assumed since you were at a party like this-“

“That I could speak Spanish..” you finished for him, blushing more, “That’s exactly what I was afraid of!” You slapped Casey’s arm, causing her to pout and hold her arm while walking away.

Cesar smiled while watching you, “Well it’s no problem, I prefer speaking English anyway.” He said, hoping to make you feel better. Although he did enjoy seeing how flustered you got when he spoke Spanish.

Smirking slightly, Cesar continued the conversation in Spanish, “Así que vienes aquí a menudo?” (So, do you come here often?)

“Do I respond “taco” to this question now or..?” You asked, playfully tilting your head.

Cesar laughed and shook his head, “No, no ahora. Pero me gustaria tu numero..” he winked. (No, not now. But I would like your number.)

You bit your lip a little, watching Cesar’s lips as he spoke Spanish. You never thought you would have found it attractive to watch someone speak Spanish, but Cesar is making it sound like sex to your ears.

You smirked at hearing “numero” and knowing it meant number. “Ask me in English and maybe.. just maybe you might get my number, handsome..” you giggled, looking up at Cesar.

He ran his hand through his hair and smiled more before answering you. This was the start to a long night of teasing back and forth.

That was six months ago, which brings you here.

You sat on Ruby’s couch as he had the whole gang over.

You had grown very close to Cesar and his group of friends. Little did you know, Casey and Ruby were cousins!

“How have you been, Cesar? I haven’t seen you in a while.” Ruby’s mother said, handing Cesar a glass of water.

“He estado muy ocupado, Tia.” (I have been very busy, Aunty.) Cesar told her, shrugging slightly.

You sat quietly and watched Cesar amazed while he spoke Spanish. Casey thought you would have been used to him speaking Spanish by now, but it still fascinated you. It was like his words were fine silk.

Cesar and Ruby’s mother talked on and on for a bit, neither of them noticing you staring at Cesar’s lips.

Cesar finished talking and looked over at you, “Puedo ayudarte?” (Can I help you?) He smirked, pecking your lips gently.

“Huh?” You questioned, confused. You groaned and pushed Cesar’s shoulder, “You’re doing that on purpose, jerk! Speak Englishhhh.” You whined softly.

Cesar placed gentle kisses all over your face, “Por qué? Español es mas divertido!” (Why? Spanish is more fun!) He chuckled lowly, cupping your face and watching your eyes.

You stared into his eyes with so much love, “I don’t know what you just said, but taco.” You said, smiling up at him.

Taco had become an inside joke with you both, and it always made you both laugh.

Cesar laughed and kissed you passionately before pulling you in his lap, “Yes, baby, taco is always your answer.”

You cuddled Into his arms and giggled, “Don’t judge me, I can’t even keep up with Dora.” You joked, tracing small shapes on his hand, which was placed on your waist.

Cesar watched you closely and smiled more, “Have I ever told you how precious you are, (y/n)?” He interrupted, as you were on a rant about who knows what.

You stopped and looked at Cesar, blushing, “Uh.. no..” You said, blushing more.

Cesar gently squeezed your waist, “Well you are honestly the most precious being in this world.. the way you get flustered when I speak Spanish. And the way you dance wildly to Spanish music even when you don’t know what’s being said,” he chuckled, “but especially when you-

Cesar was disrupted by a loud groan, “Are you done? Seriously, Cesar, are you?? Everyone is trying to watch tv, cállate!!” Ruby rolled his eyes and turned up the tv.

Cesar stared at Ruby offended. This caused you to laugh quietly and bury your face in Cesar’s neck, “I love you so much, Ce.” You admitted, smiling against his skin.

Cesar relaxed at your words and looked down at you, pulling you closer to his chest, “I love you too, (y/n)..” He beamed, holding you in his arms.
