Gabriel sabía que Elvira merecía algo mucho mejor en su vida, el menor le podía ofrecer todo el amor del mundo. Pero también sabía que la mayor necesita saber que Gabriel le puede dar estabilidad económica. Por ello su lado ambicioso se alimento para ascender de la manera más rápida que pudiera.

Homero Lápida veía a su esposa diferente desde que pasaba tiempo en la casa de los vecinos, así que una charla para asustar al niño no estaría de más. 

Claramente hizo de todo en Gabriel menos  espantarlo o sentirse intimidado. Su madre le solía decir que no debía temer si no tenía nada que esconder y como no estaba haciendo nada malo, no veía el enojo de Homero.

Hi! I saw from your blog that you live in Mexico. I’m curious—do you play TS2 in Spanish? I play in English since that’s my native language but noticed on the Spanish version of the wiki that some of the neighbourhoods’ names don’t directly translate from Spanish to English and was wondering if the Sims’ names also change in the Spanish version of TS2?

I used to play in Spanish back when I first got the game, but I switched to English when I started posting my Legacy at LJ for consistency.

And yes, they are quite different between English and Spanish. For example:

Vista Gentil (Gentle View) - Pleasantview

Las Rarezas (The Strange Things) - Strangetown

Villa Verona - Veronaville (literal translation)

Colinas del Río Flor (Flower River Hill) - Riverblossom Hills.

Valle Desiderata - Literal Translation

Cala Belladona (Belladona Creek) - Belladona Cove

As for the names, just a few of my favorite examples with references:

Juan Tenorio - Don Lothario (I like this reference)

Homero Lápida (Homer Gravestone) - Mortimer Goth

Elvira Lápida (Elvira Gravestone) - Bella Goth

Familia Pérez (Smith Family) - This is a very common last name in Spanish. The members are Obrero de Polinación 9, Elena, Jaime and Inés.

Familia Simblanca (Broke Family) - Simblanca is a word play on "Sin Blanca" or "No Money". The members are Berto (Skip), Begoña, León and Ícaro.

        so here i am again , introducing you guys to my third character !! she’s too far up her own ass , thinks everything revolves around her , and won’t ever take a no for an answer .

GENERAL BACKGROUND + A FEW FACTS . TRIGGER WARNING: DRUGS , DEATH , AGE GAP , CANCER . - born to aitor and amaia caliente , sol and her twin sister grew up in bilbao , spain .  - her father , aitor , continued to abuse of illegal substances throughout the years , engaging in the illegal distribution of heroine , cocaine , and others . this would lead to aitor spending most of the money the family had left , making the family struggle financially . - with the public health care system , and the long waiting list to start treatment , at the age of 3 the caliente sisters lost their mother to breast cancer . amaia’s sister izar blames aitor for the death of his wife , believing that if he hadn’t wasted all the family’s savings they would’ve been able to find a cure sooner , this being - through private health care . - after two years , aitor caliente eventually lost custody of his two children due to several incidents in regards to the illegal trafficking of drugs . his arrest at the barajas airport , madrid for attempting to sneak in 5 kilograms of cocaine into spain was the breaking point . - their aunt izar would gain custody over the children , raising both girls on her own . izar is their motherly figure . with no memory of her mother and little to no from her father , to sol her aunt was all family she had left . the fatherly figure , being one that was always missing in their lives . teaching them everything she knew , moral and value wise , sol adored her aunt just as much as her sister , seeing her aunt in many ways as her own mother . - sol and her sister grew up witnessing the many failed attempts their aunt had at keeping a stable relationship . with izar experiencing commitment issues , sol quickly developed the wrong idea of what a relationship was . control , became a priority in her high school years , and commitment issues were something the blonde experienced too , reflected by how she had cheating on her first two boyfriends throughout both college and high school . - after graduation high school and achieving top grades during her selectividad , sol moved to madrid to study both fashion design and international business relations at the universidad complutense de madrid . her thirst to experience a more glamorous lifestyle , and little time to get a part time job - sol decided to sign up for a sugar baby website . being paid 4000 euros a month to meet a 80 year old millionaire of the name homero lápida on a regular basis , the blonde took a risk and agreed to marry said man a few months into meeting him . two years later homero lápida would pass away , and with him having no children , sol would be the one to inherit the entire fortune . - during her time in university , sol slowly became a more frequent user of illegal drugs . abusing of cocaine on a frequent basis , and dropping acid once in a while - these substances served as an escape for her .  - two weeks before the marriage , sol’s aunt izar would find out about her nieces endeavours , which would lead to the two falling out . currently , they aren’t on speaking terms . - with a large sum of money on her bank account , sol caliente eventually told her sister she would be leaving to the states to purse a career in fashion design with or without her , and after getting in contact with the alliance - she eventually would work there as a spy . - both sisters would drop out of college , and move to victoria in the span of a year . currently they are residing in the west side . - sol opened up a store in victoria court , not only to carry out her dream as a fashon designer , but using said career choice as a façade to cover up the fact that she is also working as a spy for the lothario family .

GENERAL STATS . - name : sol caliente . - nicknames : /  - age : 21 . - sexuality : bisexual . - birthday : november 11 . - position within the alliance : the spy . - languages : spanish , euskera , english , italian . - other info : her name sol caliente literally translates to , warm sun . her sister’s luna caliente to , warm moon , and her aunt’s izar caliente , translates into warm star . - scars : her forearm , she burnt herself during a bbq once . - piercings : ears , nose ring , nipples , tongue , belly button . - tattoos : a small moon that features a few smaller stars on her left wrist representing her sister luna and her aunt izar , a rose on the middle finger of her left hand , ‘fingías’ tattooed on the side of her left forearm , a snake on her right hand , ‘ángel’ inked onto her hip bone , dolce on the back of her left arm right above her elbow , vtita on the back of her right arm right above her elbow .  ‘caliente’ in thick bold letters , with flames , inked on her right forearm  . ‘11’ on the back of her neck , roses from her hip to her thigh . sol also has a small heart inked between her collarbones , which features ‘art’ written in small font right underneath it . a sun behind her ear .
