Okay i need to add my two cents on this whole take that Elain and Nesta did the more feminine household chores and Feyre doesn't see that because she is an unbelievable narrator or whatever bs.
As someone who is Pro Archeron Sisters hard pass. This is very unfair to Feyre and takes away Elain’s and Nesta's character dovelopment.
This whole take is an assumption! Stop presenting this as a fact when you arguing. Ngl it is a logical assumption because in the end someone had to do it but nevertheless it is still an assumption.
This statement downplays how much Feyre gave to her family, how much she sacrificed of herself and on top an that basically calls her stupid with the second part of this take calling her an unbelievable narrator.
Every Elain and Nesta stan who does that please stop. You are trying to spin a narrative where Elain and Nesta themselves would disagree with you! Elain herself admitted that they failed Feyre (Love her for that) and Nesta said she would have let them starve to get a reaction from their stupid dad (#DaddyArcheronHateClub). On top on that it takes away Elain's and Nesta's character dovelopment and in my eyes you are not a real stan if you try to excuse every single bad action from the character you stan.
If you stan a character that means for me that you love that character as they are. This also means admitting and standing to their faults. They helped Feyre in the following books but failed her in the first book, there's no way around it. You should remember both. Elain and Nesta are not saints, but they are not devils either.

It is definitely the last for me. In case of Nesta and Elain i just accepted that she’s not going to give us a valid reason why the two of them were so on the 1st book or why they acted as they did. Or let’s say she’s only given us half an answer.
I once read in a post that she said in an interview she had planned for Nesta and Elain actually to be these typical evil step sisters only later she decided that the two will play a bigger role.
So yeah if that is really the case i have my answer to why Nesta and Elain’s dovelopment was that twisted/strange however you want to word it because it wasn't even planned to happen.
And don't get me wrong it is completly fine for any writer to chance their minds about the plot and characters but when you write a serie and one part is already published then you need to build up that chance or give a valid reason why, espacially when it is a big chance. It is a differnt if you want to chance the color of a dress our a whole characters or the plot. If you think twice Sjm isn't doing any of it she just let it stand in the room.
Sjm messed up/twisted whole characters because she threw her chance of mind just in the room and let it just stand around. Mor, Elain, Nesta, Lucien... He is a good examples.
You can't tell me Sjm still have (or had) a soild plan for him. First his character chance in from acotar (#give me acotar Lucien back). The question of his first love interest. First Jesminda then it should have been Nesta and now Elain as his mate. Then the thing with his real fahter. Correct me if i am wrong but wasn't it said when Feyre was Utm that Lucien looks similar to Beron? And now it is like nooo you have so many similarities with Helion. Like okay but what now?? How can Feyre see the connection so quickly but the other who lives for over hundert years miss it?
Sometimes it is even the plot that makes no scence.
Why do we need a whole plan in acomaf to get the Veritas but in acosf it is like hey you need music np i have the veritas 💃. I truly belive Sjm just wanted to write the throne scene and needed a reason for the IC to attempt HC XD and don't get me started with Acosf. Acosf is actually a Novella but is tyring so hard to be a novel that you got that mess of a plot. I could nearly cry so much wasted potential on so many levels.
Sorry for the rant and negativity you ruin pretty much every book if you think too deeply about it but some points are just too obvious with Sjm. You see when thinkinc twice what she really planned through and what she didn’t.
I absolutely agree- i think it's totally fine to change your mind as an author, but at the same time, going forward, you need to think about tying all the loose end then.

With the sisters...why can't she just make it better? you know. Just take a little time, do some flashbacks, have some dialogue. Shouldn't be that difficult to make this happen and make it make some sense.

Final piece evaluation-FMP: The sexualisation of young girls During the dovelopment of my final peice I desided to narrow down my consort, focusing particularly on the influence of the media on young girls and how they are portrayed though this. I also wanted to convey the overall sexualisation of femiminity and how this linkings to the comodification of youth. I desided to use stuffed tight covered in latex to depict these obscure child-like forms featuring objectified parts of the female form. I felt my choice of material worked well to depict the disturbing reality of how society veiws femininity, as the nude sexualised figures have a skin-like texture and the shape works well to illustrate the curves and crevices of the body. My original plan was to have the more figurative structure sitting alone infont of the TV however, after talking to tutors and desided to create two more, more abstract forms. I feel adding these completed the piece and better showed the connection between the video on the TV to the physical works as they look more animated as I've they are interacting with the TV. I furthered this life-like quality by adjusting the positioning, as I've they are moving independently. I felt this worked as it over all gave the piece a more sinister feeling. I desided to adorn the child-like structures with woman's lace thongs, I really like how they contrast against the skin like texture of the latex, making the buttock like shapes look more realistic. Along with the woman's underwear, the light, soft fabrics used to surround the piece help to further the steriotypical ideas of femiminity such as fragility, nativity and vulnerability. I feel these qualities are particularly child-like but due to this asosiated with womanhood they have become fetishized. Aswell as the underwear I also attached hair from a wig and plastic princess accessories, I felt this further more made the figures more child-like and added an inocence to them suggesting virginity and peurity which makes the piece more sinister due to the overtly sexual shapes and features of the creatures. I feel the contrasting, artificial nature of the plastic along with the soft materials helps to make them also look more life-like and infintile. I desided to include a video piece in my work to convay the portrail of kids in the media aswell as the over all comodification of youth. I chose clips from child beauty pageant shows and dance competitions which feature kids dressed and behaving in an adult manner, displaying the manipulation of young girls to look and behave like adult women: swinging their hips pouting and shaking there bottoms by the instruction of on looking adults. I used I Movie to edit these clips together, speeding some up and slowing some down to draw attention to their disturbing nature. I also altered the colour, putting a neon pink filter over the images and heightened thesaturation to illustrate the artificiality of these performances and constructs of femininity. After trying this out on the TV I found the colours clashed alot with pale colours in the rest of the scene. I found the bright pink TV already worked to suggest these ideas so desided to dull the colours of the video. If I'd had more time I would have used more clips from a wider variety of media to convay the normalised comodification of kids. When constructing the final piece i desided to use net curtens to enclose the work as I felt this adds to sinister feeling as the veiwer has to activly engage with the piece to reveal it in its entirety, referencing ideas of voyerism and perversion. I feel the light effeminate further communicates the domestic scene, helping the figures come to life as they almost look like kids in a bedroom watching TV. I also like how the curtens obscure and reveal the piece from different angles which could reference the fact that the sexualisation of kids is often covered up or dismissed. OverallI feel I have been able to convay my consent and ideas accurately, as I feel the piece illustrates the obscene manipulation of young girls and the way many cultures comodify and sexualise femiminity and youth. I am particularly happy with the materials used as I feel they work together well to make the scene more life like and there for more unsettling. I would have liked to use actual curten rails to give the piece a more polished look however the curtens work well to set the scene. I really enjoyed using latex during this project due to my interest in the portrail of the human form and I feel it worked well to make the piece more human-like. I would really like to learn more advanced video editing techniques as I feel this would have been useful to make my video more unsettling, I plan on leaning more in future projects as I really like the way video works along side physical work. I am also happy with the figurative forms if I had more time I would have drawn a plan for each and perhaps obscured them further as they could be considered to obvious put next to the video. I feel I have managed to communicate my ideas well, although I still feel there is a lot I would further look into regarding the sexualisation of young girls and women in general which I my pursue in further projects.
