if i am honest the new hozier is not my fave for both valid reasons (i find the bass line uninspiring) and not valid ones (i do all three of those things so im mad. if you say whiskey is your favorite spirit you obviously take it neat youre not special) but also literally whatever

1. A song that you’ve only recently discovered? I literally listen to the same classic rock station every day at work so I haven’t discovered much new “recently” lmao, I’ve only really started listening to Bruce Springsteen in the past 6 months or so though and Thunder Road is the perfect song, maybe my favourite song of all time.

8. A song that makes you want to dance? Ohh that’s a tough one, at the moment because I just love the beat so much Turn to Stone - ELO (can you tell i’m on a real 70s kick at the moment). Anyway, another absolute banger, I never fail to dance when it comes on.

14. A song that inspires you? Literally no idea on this one, head completely empty. I think i’ll go with Simple as This - Jake Bugg because it inspired one of my fave gifsets i’ve ever made (and I need some Jake Bugg representation in here)

15. A song from a book? Ok I have literally no answer for this so I’m going to pretend I can’t read and that it says TV show, and obviously the only thing I’ve been thinking about for the past 48 hours is Our Flag Means Death (sorry, sorry!) so I’ve naturally had The Chain - Fleetwood Mac in my head non-stop. 17. A song that reminds you of someone? The Rock Show - Blink 182 for sure. My oldest best friend and I would always request it on any night out and I can’t hear it without being flung back to being 18 and drunk and having the time of my life. 22. A joyous song? Joyous? No idea, but a song that always gets me completely pumped is Can’t Get Enough - Bad Company. One of my all time favourite songs, the second the guitar kicks in at the beginning it never fails to get me HYPED. It’s okay for people to criticise there faves and yes I agree some people like to harp on the negative stuff rather than the nicer stuff about hozier (which lets be honest there’s not a lot of negative stuff anyway) but I just think people are trying to vent and you’ve created a platform people are grateful for because you listen and give wise responses. But the bar is so low for white men like hozier that it’s not like he’s going to get called out by big news outlets for travelling that’s why people come to tumblr I suppose 🤷🏼‍♀️

1. What Station on the Ark would you be from? Mmm, probably Go-Sci or Alpha, since my dad was a geneticist - maybe they’d put me in Medical or something lmao.

2. What would you get arrested for on the Ark? Standing up for injustices/trying to help people who were being treated unfairly.

3. Would you take off your wristband when you landed on the ground? Yeah, I’d give it Monty.

4. What would the necklace Finn would make for you look like? (Clarke: deer/Raven: a raven duh..) Maybe a dolphin/whale or a turtle.

5. If you could resurrect any MINOR character who would it be? WELLS!!!!

Lines in the Sand, by @manic-intent. Abrupt departure into Dragon Age fic, here. Blackwall is one of those characters who seems to exist for retroactive irony, and there’s so much to be mined there--but honestly, I just pigeon-holed him as the Sean Bean character, desperate for redemption. Letting him have desires in his own right--and a secret love for softness of a sort, too--was such a revelation. Plus there’s some delightful thoroughness here. The sequel’s hilarious, too.

7. a fic which made you ship something

this unrequited Dean/Cas by @serricoj, and what it made me ‘ship’ is specifically the missed opportunity of Dean/Cas, which I find I like so much more than the ‘happy’ version. It’s so good. And, most importantly, it keeps Sam as an important figure, which I find the majority of D/C does not. Super well done.

8. a fic which inspired you to write

Athelas, by @astolat. This is a really delicious Thor/Loki which delves into actual consequences--always my favorite thing. This, along with a few other fics, really was the goad to me writing my own Thor/Loki fic ‘Indeterminacy,’ and also the still-unfinished WIP which I really like, if I’m honest, but it owes a lot to astolat.

FAVORITE COLORS: My favorite colors are the green from the forest here in Sweden when the sun shines through the tree tops and makes the air glimmer like it’s straight from a fairy tale. Also the sky when the day turns to night, so you can see the colors shift from dark straight up and burning orange at the horizon, and all the colors between. Anything that matches the dark, mentally ill, magical forest that is my mind.

HOW MANY BLANKETS DO YOU SLEEP WITH: By blanket do you mean the duvet or whatever it’s called or a blanket, aka piece of fabric? I you mean the latter, it depends on the weather. But I usually sleep with one under my head as a pillow whilst I cuddle it to suppress my feelings of loneliness hahaah! I like it more than pillows because you can mold the blanket perfectly to fit what you need at that moment.
