ageretober day 1: pumpkins

something nayeon and jeongyeon have been wanting to do with jihyo is take her to a pumpkin patch, and now they finally had their chance, almost one year after bringing her into their household.

jihyo was practically bouncing in her car seat as the car pulled up to the pumpkin patch, her favorite owl plushie held close to her.

the little one looked absolutely adorable that day, her hair was in pigtails and she had a pair of orange overalls on over a white sweater. nayeon almost cried after seeing her all dressed up, melting at how precious she looked.

"are you ready to pick out a pumpkin, my sweet girl?" jeongyeon cooed as she got jihyo out of her car seat, opting to carry her instead of putting her in the stroller.

jihyo flapped her hands, showing that she was ecstatic. she was very curious and she loved going new places, and this new place was quite comforting to the girl.

nayeon smiled, being happy about jihyo's reaction, "someone's excited to get her very own pumpkin, isn't she?"

jihyo reached out to nayeon in response, wanting to be held by her mommy instead. of course, nayeon took her from jeongyeon's hold, much to her wife's dismay.

they walked out to the large field of pumpkins, relishing in the afternoon sun. almost immediately, jihyo started pointing at many different pumpkins, wanting to bring home all of them.

"you get to choose three pumpkins, one for mama, one for mommy, and one for hyohyo." nayeon told jihyo, staring at how the little looked all around, searching for the perfect pumpkins.

after a bit of time, jihyo finally found her first pumpkin.

jeongyeon picked up a medium-sized pumpkin, holding it up for the little to see. "this one, baby?" jeongyeon asked, barely even struggling to hold the pumpkin.

jihyo nodded before exclaiming "mama!", meaning that was the pumpkin that she chose for jeongyeon to carve. the older woman sighed, noting that she was going to be scooping out a lot of seeds.

a little bit more time passed before jihyo found her next pumpkin, deciding that it was the pumpkin that nayeon would be carving.

the pumpkin, a bit smaller than jeongyeon's, was the perfect size for the caregiver to carve. she praised jihyo for her pumpkin-picking skills, placing a kiss on her cheek.

last but not least, jihyo picked out a small pumpkin for herself. by this point, jeongyeon was struggling to hold all of the pumpkins, so she carried her own pumpkin along with nayeon's, while nayeon carried jihyo's pumpkin.

they purchased the pumpkins and put them in the trunk of their car, making sure they were secure and wouldn't move around.

jihyo was getting tired, slowly suckling on her paci and being clingier than usual, so nayeon gave her a cozy blanket to cuddle up with while they drove home, deciding that they would carve their pumpkins the next day.

I just finished kaiba in only two days and hooooooly hell it is one hell of a ride but it was so worth it. creds to you since you got me into the show and it is undoubtedly one of my favorite animes and just overall piece of art. Ive always loved masaaki yuasa's work and kaiba is definitely my favorite out of all his stuff. I shall now protect hyohyo and chroniko with my life (kinda..) you have very great taste (& that includes HnK ofc)

Makes me happy you gave Kaiba a chance and enjoyed it! 🥺 Kaiba is a beautiful and immersive journey that I won’t ever get tired of watching again and again… The animation fluidity, the retro sci-fi character designs, the unique music direction and sound design, the somber and dark themes that pair with the story… masterpiece… so memorable.

Conheça a banda de J-rock Frederic

Frederic (フレデリック) é uma banda japonesa formada em Kobe, no Japão. Minha banda favorita, diga-se de passagem. Com uma sonoridade famosa por seu mix de gêneros musicais, o repertório da banda conta com composições de rock, pop, música eletrônica e psicodélico. A banda é formada por Kenji Mihara nos vocais e guitarra, Koji Mihara como baixista e compositor, Ryuji Akagashira na guitarra e Takeru Takahashi na bateria. Anteriormente a posição de baterista era do ex-integrante kaz.

A especialidade da banda é produzir músicas de sonoridade animada e enérgica que ficam na cabeça do ouvinte. Numa entrevista ao site Bandwagon Asia, Kenji expressou sua vontade de ter músicas que ultrapassam a barreira linguística e revelou que o nome da banda vem do livro infantil "Frederick" de Leo Lionni, que conta que, enquanto todos os outros ratos reuniam comida para se preparar para o inverno, Frederick estava sempre perdido em seus pensamentos e nunca fazia nada. Todos os outros ratos achavam que ele era preguiçoso, mas quando chegou o auge do inverno e a comida acabou, Frederick aqueceu o coração dos outros ratos contando-lhes histórias. Kenji disse que assim como o ratinho Frederick, a banda deseja aquecer o coração das pessoas e espalhar felicidade por meio de sua música, por isso a banda foi batizada de Frederic.

A história da banda começou em 2009, quando os irmãos gêmeos Kenji e Koji Mihara começaram a tocar juntos em Kobe com os outros integrantes. Em 2014 lançaram seu primeiro álbum, "Oddloop", que foi muito bem recebido pelos fãs e críticos. Sua faixa título, "Oddloop", se tornou viral. Hoje, seu clipe musical conta com mais de 124 milhões de visualizações no YouTube.

Após o sucesso de "Oddloop", Frederic seguiu lançando singles e álbuns bem recebidos, como "Owarase Night", "Frederhythm" e "Togenkyo". Em 2018, Frederic teve um dos maiores sucessos de sua carreira com a música "Kanashii Ureshii". A música foi usada como abertura do anime "Koi to Uso" e se teve sucesso imediato graças a voz suave e cativante de Kenji Mihara. A banda segue ativa em turnês pelo Japão até hoje.

Oddloop

"Oddloop" do álbum de mesmo nome lançado em 2014, é uma ótima introdução ao que o Frederic tem de melhor: a música é alegre e leva no próprio nome a ideia de um "loop" que remete a repetição presente em várias de suas músicas, mais especialmente ainda nessa. A ideia de loop também é representada no clipe, com estrelas femininas realizando danças e movimentos repetitivos com expressões faciais neutras, algo que se tornou marca registrada nos clipes da banda. Certamente o som e a dancinha ficarão na sua cabeça durante as próximas semanas.

Junkie

Outra incrível introdução ao Frederic, "Junkie" do álbum "Frederhythm3", lançado em 2022, é uma música super divertida e descontraída. Conta com um clipe que se tornou o meu favorito da banda, ambientado numa escola com alunos e alunas de expressões neutras (novamente) dançando. As estrelas principais são gêmeas, algo que torna a repetição ainda mais interessante.

Makka na CAR

"Makka na CAR" do álbum "OTOTUNE" de 2015, revela o lado psicodélico suave que eu tanto amo do Frederic. A música é como uma descompromissada viagem de carro até a cidade, apenas por diversão. De forma que chega a ser relaxante, é uma faixa agradável com vocais suaves.

NEON PICNIC

"NEON PICNIC" do EP "Hyohyo To Emotion" de 2018, é outra faixa psicodélica que me agrada bastante. o instrumental bem-sonante gruda facilmente na memória. Eu adoraria a ter oportunidade de ouvir essa música ao vivo, seria uma experiência marcante.

Ainda recomendo outras músicas que mostram o poder vocal de Kenji, como "Discopool" e "Uwasa no Kemuri no Onnanoko" do álbum "Oddloop". Do álbum "TOGENKYO" de 2017, a romântica e confortante faixa título de mesmo nome, a relaxante "Tarinaieye", e a enérgica "Slowly Dance". Seria fácil para mim recomendar todas as músicas desse álbum, que é um dos meus favoritos.

Espero que tenham gostado de conhecer a banda e possivelmente se aprofundem em sua discografia, pois Frederic é uma dose de serotonina auditiva.
