One thing I’m kind of confused with in the Untamed (and MDZS but I’ve only watched Untamed so)

Madam Jin is called Madam Jin.

I’ve seen repeatedly (and it’s evident in the show) that you don’t change your last name with marriage. Yu Ziyuan, despite being married to Jiang Fengmian, is still called Madam Yu not Madam Jiang.

And on the wiki LWJ and LXC’s mom is also called Madam Lan, but we only see her through a flashback from LXC’s perspective and I don’t recall ever hearing her refered to Madam Lan in show (probably because she’s dead for at least a decade before the show starts). But Madam Jin is referred as Madam Jin in show. We see her multiple times and she’s referred as such.

My confusion is; why? Why is Madam Jin Madam Jin when the other woman we see married to a sect leader is called by her last name not her husbands? Is this a Jin tradition?

They both bond over the fact that they both got shoved into a world they know nothing about and boom instant friendship 🤝

Raven just says incoherent shit at the random bc she felt like doing it and Melanie's just like ' 😃 great ! i really understood that one !'

The amount of times Melanie has to wait outside of the classroom for Raven bc they got detention for wreaking havoc in alchemy 😭

Or like Raven showing up at Ramshackle at like 3 am and is just hovering over Melanie menacingly like "do you have notes from history"

On a wholesome note I do like to think that Raven tries to teach Melanie magic and like its a rlly cute moment for a while until everything just goes to shit

Ok, yesterday I had the weirdest anime related dream ever. It was about a new One Piece chapter about the Blackbeard crew. There was Teach, Laffitte, Shiryu and Vasco in some sort of party in my bathroom (why the fuck where there or who invited them reminds a mystery) and were just like relaxing in a mini pool, drinking and ogling hot women like nothing, clearly having a good time. Also in that charapter we discovered that Vasco had devil fruit named Pika Pika no Mi (wtf? That was the name of Borsalino's devil fruit!) that turned everything he touched in fucking alcohol like if he was Jesus!!! Which is a very useful power if you are a drunk maniac of course ;) Suddenly the Akatsukis (yes, those bad guys in with cool black robes with red clouds and pretentious nail polish from Naruto) appeared out of nonewere and Pein (the boss of Akatsuki in theory) was particulary pissed off with Teach and his shitty party so he procced to brutally atack those overgrown bastards with his badass rinnegan powers and he gave them the beating of their life beating them to a pulp (litterary, Teach and his crew looked like a melted putty or one of those slimes used for stim videos). But even after Pein almost killed Blackbeard and the rest of his ugly crew, Pein was so afraid of them that inmediatly after he finished them he got out of my bathroom and proceed to lock them inside (he put a chair and a towel at the front of the door to prevent them from getting out there (?) ). I woke up almost after that dream and I was so damm sleepy and confusef that I seriously bealieved for like 5 seconds that those fuckers still inside of my bathroom melted like a pulp or geting drunk in a pool party like idiots! Fortunately reality kicked in and I forgot about that weird ass dream until now that I am listening to One Piece openings while I finish my home work.

I'm sorry if this has been asked befor, but there are a few things I don't get about the Onibi series... Why is Shikiou the villain? Why weren't Akari and Mai suposed to meet? I do know a bunch of things about Akari and Mai and their story, but I haven't understood what is up with Emi and Shikiou... What role to they play? What do we know about them? I am generally very confusef about these two... Could you please clear things up for me???

so Shikyou is a villain primarily because she was trying with everything in her power to get Mai and Akari to never meet. however, she also gained immense power and literally became a god, coming to rule the land of the dead. she’s described as a “god who kills gods”. she obliterated an entire village by manipulating the residents’ minds and forcing them to kill themselves and each other. she’s not a good person regardless of the story. Besides, she fails. Not only are Mai and Akari in VERY close proximity to each other when Akari is kidnapped and could have met or seen each other, but Akari is literally given Mai’s head in a basket at the end of Beheading Dance. I don’t see any reason why that would happen if she didn’t already know Mai.

why Mai and Akari weren’t supposed to meet is honestly a mystery to me. it could be that them meeting would break a cycle of death and violence in the story (which has been proved to be happening as described in one of the books Ryou reads in the blog). or maybe Masa wanted a sort of “romeo and juliet” thing with his story. i don’t know. one thing is for sure though: “they were doomed to never meet”.

shikyou’s role is clear: the main antagonist. how she gets defeated (or if she gets defeated at all) is unknown.

emi is the main protagonist of the series according to masa, but we don’t really know why or how. the most plausible theory is that she somehow gets Mai and Akari to meet, which makes her in direct opposition to Shikyou. she was also ridiculed by people who knew her due to the fact that her ancestor(s) bought/gained the ability to become a god. that kind of implies that she’s related to Shikyou somehow, which would be really cool. Also, according to a tweet by Masa, she MET Shikyou. What a badass. She’s the Miku in Onibi, btw.

(Please realize that a lot of the conclusions my friends and I make about all of this are subject to change depending on what Masa reveals down the line. We’re just going off of what would make the most possible sense.)
