day 2 of @tristampparty!! i have less to say about this episode than the first one so hopefully this will be a shorter post than yesterday LOL
iirc this is 98 knives's seiyuu on the radio, right?!!! i am only about halfway through my jp 98 watch and can't recognize him by ear (yet) but i think it's very neat that the original seiyuus have cameos :')

why does roberto say revenge. what does he mean. what does he know. what has he figured out from knowing vash for maybe like a few hours. or is he just throwing that out there without realizing how close he is to the truth. partially, anyway. he didn't guess the savior complex part.
i'm not entirely sure what meryl means by honor...? but money is a pretty normal reason to want a plant, as we've seen and as we'll continue to see.
i like how meryl has a fear of bugs... i can relate lol. i think this character trait comes from the manga when she was kidnapped by zazie and was grossed out? i think here it also serves to reinforce her being sheltered, still unfamiliar with the world at large since worms are everywhere--WAIT HOLD ON.

man i'm so glad i finally downloaded tristamp so i can appreciate the visuals without the crunchiness of streaming video... i can't do the animation justice with just screenshots but i love watching vash scamper around like a... i don't know. he scampers like a cockroach in 98, but this is giving a different vibe. like a... something. like a creature.
i also want to take a second to appreciate how gorgeous the backgrounds are, like,
i loooove the backgrounds, it looks like... maybe a mix of markers and colored pencil... i love the detail and the colors are so pleasing. this is such a gorgeous anime to look at, i don't know how anyone could possibly say it looks bad without them just blindly hating it because it's 3dcg. god i'm getting so distracted looking at the backgrounds that i'm missing the action AND the subtitles LOL
wasn't there a post somewhere that actually calculated how much a bullet is worth based on this information. i don't remember what conclusion it came to. but i'm thinking either food is expensive (tbh, likely) or bullets are inexpensive and vash is just poor (also likely). also it's funny that the dub changed this to donuts. ...where are the donuts at in tristamp anyway...

roberto up until this point has acted like meryl is dragging him along unwillingly, but here he's the one telling meryl to get in the car so they can get a move on, lol. yeah yeah we all already know he's actually a softie and that he really cares underneath his aloof demeanor.
which brings us to this scene... i don't want to say that he has vash "all figured out" because obviously he doesn't, but he's got SOME of vash figured out at least. definitely more than meryl atp. he knows vash is running from knives... i wonder how this conversation would have gone if they weren't interrupted.
yeah i don't really have that much to say about this ep, relatively speaking... i don't have any deep thoughts about the nebraskas, they're just comic relief villains anyway, i don't care about them that much, even though tristamp kind of tries to make us care a little bit by the end of this episode...
next episode is gonna be a doozy though. ohohohohohoho.

Digimon Tamers - Volume 4
The beginning of this volume flat out spoils things by putting characters that haven't been introduced yet on the character page. (MarineAngemon, the Juri clone, the D-Reaper queen...) Maybe that's a common practice with shounen manga...but it shouldn't be. Like, what's the point?
Ch. 22
Lopmon and Terriermon interacting will never get old. Love how they lift their ears with curiosity when they first see each other.
I think I prefer experiencing the ~sad~ part of Tamers better in manga form. I remember it being quite drawn out in the anime and I rather just blitz through it at this point. I think the whole Leomon death storyline just annoys me because they barely developed his character and then the writing expects me to be devastated. Juri was more developed, sure, but we barely got any insight into her relationship with Leomon so her deep, dark depression doesn't feel super warranted either.
Ch. 23
I think this chapter was pretty well done. They're giving an epic battle it's time instead of zooming past it.
It bugs me that there isn't a specific name for digimon/human digivolutions. In this translation they called it a "true mega form." On the wiki it's called both an ultimate and a matrix digivolution. IDK why it doesn't count as a jogress. I guess there's like...two different things: the way you digivolve (matrix) and the digivolution level (ultimate)? If it's confusing for me, I can only imagine it'd be confusing for a kid.
It's a bit weird for an English translation, but I like that Guilmon says "MMA!" a lot. I can totally hear him making that noise with his OG voice. Creative onomatopoeia.
Ch. 24
Grrr Jian said "crumbcakes," so done with this stupid translation
This chapter was hella short, not much to say about it.
Ch. 25
Okay, now they're calling it a "biomerge digivolution." I guess the localizers also thought "this needs a cool name!"
Casual 90s/early 2000s sexism sprinkled throughout this translation. Takato says he "screams like a little girl" in a previous chapter and in this one he says "easy to forget Renamon and Rika are girls when they're always kicking butt!" Eye roll...
SaintGalgomon looked super badass but for some reason when Sakuyamon appeared they chose to dedicate two closeup panels to her chest and high heels? Sus...
Ch. 26
Juri's face didn't look as sinister here as it did in the anime (when it's revealed she's possessed). I guess that's probably a good thing. More subtle.
I don't remember the sovereign digimon giving Culumon a "you're a real boy now" speech in the anime. That was sweet.
They cut the part where Beelzebumon gets zapped by a bunch a digimon. In this he just collapses after the battle with Dukemon, which I think I prefer. (But why'd he say he'd be "bunny chow?" He wasn't even fighting Terriermon...)
Ch. 27
The grotesque, over-the-top facial expressions the artist keeps drawing for Hirokazu piss me off. They're just so ugly.
Ugh...they really had to ruin a serious moment (Guilmon getting the ark to stop) with a poop joke. This manhua does NOT treat its audience with respect.
Hmm they completely cut out Juri's family. So much for developing her character I guess.
They kind of forgot to imply that the ark is sentient. I mean they showed it stopping on its own, but in the anime they really hammered it home by having Guilmon have a conversation with it and showing it's HAL-like eye. That was one of my fave parts so I'm sad lol
Ch. 28
Okay, this is starting to feel totally different from the anime, they skipped like 5 episodes worth of content. Also, IDK if the scanlation I'm reading is missing some pages because the ending with Dukemon being beat up was completely nonsensical (it cut from Beelzebumon being hit to a panel with Dukemon outta nowhere?) I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that there are missing pages...
The scene where Beelzebumon uses Leomon's attack to save Juri played out differently here. She doesn't seem particularly perturbed by it and Beelzebumon can't save her because he gets attacked, not because Juri recoils for too long.
Ch. 29/30
Lol they completely cut out Justimon. Makes Ryo's role even more pointless! Ryo doesn't even reappear at all...
This manhua series was crap to begin with but they really screwed the pooch with this ending. SOOO rushed. Grani appeared outta nowhere with zero introduction. Like they just went immediately to Grani's sacrifice. I still don't know if I'm missing pages or if the writing is just that garbage. Oh well! I tried.

I Told Sunset About You Rewatch Ep 1 Stray Thoughts
We're doing a retrospective for @the-conversation-pod soon, so I want to get a rewatch in (I think this is my sixth) before we record. Figured it might be fun to jot ideas down.
Let me just say that the quality of the opening song still hits like a ton of bricks right as this starts. I had not experienced something like that before.
Telling us from the first scene that it's always been about Oh-aew.
RIP LINE TV. Pour one out.
Thinking about Teh's relationship with his mom this time, she was praising Teh for making it into this school with high marks.
Oh we finally know what MoRaoYuLok means! (We look so funny)
Skyline is just such an affecting song.
I often forget that the first float we saw was with the young actors.
Really like the camera zooming in on Teh after Oh agrees to play Yongjian. We've seen them in frame together for about four minutes of the friendship montage, and now Teh suddenly feels alone.
The tragedy of their breakup hits every time. You can see it coming immediately as soon as Oh is selected and Teh tries his best to support him through the play.
I often think about how Teh wasn't even selected to play a tree in the play.
Oh, Teh, he was always in the wrong when it came to Oh. Oh hoped they could share a passion together and Teh only saw someone stepping on his dream.
Hello again, Tuty the Homophobic Dog.
Oh, Teh, why do you have to get salty about your mom praising your brother for being able to help you afford school?
Tarn, you will regret telling Teh to go after someone else because you don't want him to waste his time waiting for you.
I love the bass beats at the mention of Oh-aew.
Sometimes you briefly forget how beautiful PP Krit is, and then you see him again and you're like, "Right, I didn't imagine that."
Gosh, Teh was always petty.
Very sad foreshadowing about Teh later waking up early to study with Oh.
This whole scene of The deciding to mess with his hair is almost Japanese in styling. It's rare in Thai shows where they hold a shot and let the actors enter and exit the frame, trusting the audience to remember where things are.
Lol, Teh is so embarrassing sometimes. Even the teacher had to call him out about the hair.
I'm still fond of Khunpol's acting as Bas after all this time. He was new to Nadao at the time and was very nervous to work so closely with PP.
He's always good at saying things to hurt Oh, but then instantly regrets it.
Oh, Bas. If it could have been you it would have been you so easily.
I sometimes wish we'd dug more into Oh's family relationship, because it feels like Teh often said things that reminded Oh of his dad.
Truly this is a beautiful shot of all of MoRaoYuLok together. Teh positioned between Bas and Oh is exquisite.
The score for this show really is just so fantastic. Underlines every moment beautifully.
Billkin is really beautiful when he has to show sympathy for PP's character crying.
PP's legs? Undefeated. Closest challenger was Todd Techit.
Goddamn these two make each other ugly cry so easily. Even on this gorgeous beach!
Poor Bas. He noticed so early.
Oh always cuts to the emotional core of their problems.
Billkin's eyebrows are doing so much work.
Ending on what Teh might say to Oh from the interview and having him not exactly say those things to Oh? Crushing.
Ke Yi Ma? Ke Yi.
Billkin singing Skyline just blasts you at the end. My goodness.
Something that still surprises me each time I come back to this is how much these boys cry at each other about each other. Normally you'd expect some kind of machismo or gender dynamic where one of them is maybe stoic, but no, these two know each other too well for that. Their relationship just feels so huge. Really the only other two characters that have close to this feeling are Pat and Pran, and Our Song explicitly asks if it's okay if they're not as huge as something like this.

It's partially a shame that I took such a break because it means I can't thoroughly recall some details, but man if there aren't facets of this game's story that I just really like despite that lol
So full on, the way this game does necromancers with this dragon-death-of-the-world salvation cult has some really sick aspects you just don't see much of.
Like in order to summon these grim reaper dudes to fight me the cult leader brandishes a dark dagger, enchants it, holds it out, and his cultist followers become entranced and maddened as they sprint at him and pierce themselves upon it, killing them and damning them as they are pulled under by skeleton arms and re-emerge as the lich enemies I fight here.
That. Is. Sick.
Like fucking hell that's cool- so much more metal and layered in just how it works than it "needs" to be for the encounter- FUCK YEAH!!!!!!
Another really good part of this game showcased in this scene is the unintentional comedic genius of how helmets work in this game. Namely, they close when in combat and open when in town.
Why is that relevant?
Well because in this scene the camera keeps doing traditional movie esque zoom ins on the leader's face and then back to mine to show my reaction.
Except.
Full faced helmet.
So this scene was just this creepy resident evil villain spouting his doomsday nonsense, then it zooms in on an emotionless knight helmet, and I smiled every single time lmao
And back to what I foreshadowed at the start of this post where "It's a shame I've taken such a break and don't recall every detail- or is it?" because I actually really dig the dragon's whole deal according to my ill-informed ass.
I remember the basics, like the intro cutscene, him taking my heart which makes me immortal, but the "Why" as to him making me immortal elludes me and I can't recall if that's just "Where the story is" right now, or if I found out and forgot lol.
REGARDLESS OF THAT, I just love his dialogue towards this here.
He says that the world will fall to his destruction without fail- that nothing can stop him, full stop.
Except.
For us.
He recognizes this- by making us immortal he damned this fate upon us- but that means he damned himself- but he seems like, completely aware of that fact.
He looks at us and says we are no match for him currently- but he does nothing to end us- he just says to face him when we are a match, that he'll be waiting etc.
So the vibe is hovering between "What's the point of being all-powerful without a rival, I made you that rival" and "I am but a part in this story. But So Are You, so face me as fate has demanded of us both."
But mostly I just dig the big bad basically cheering for me to fulfill my destiny of ending them- kinda~
Anyways, game's good. I don't / won't be posting a ton about it but a little a post as a treat will happen.

Umineko EP2. Replay Part 2
Huh, thought Jessica was the one initiating the relationship and not Shannon, guess I had details mixed up.
She's pushy too!
Though I guess Jessica had unknowingly made the first move....
Didn't even give Jessica room to back down either! I had the impression Jessica kind of forced this relationship into existence but I guess Yasu had at least some feelings for Jessica.
I think the outfits a little goofy but I think it fits Kanon anyways
Yasu can probably relate a lot to compartmentalizing your identity like this and I imagine this is probably when he started having more of an interest in Jessica as someone with a lot of sides to her personality
Oh Jessica you have no idea who you are talking to. Also, I think while this scene shows that Jessica cares about Kanon and wants him to live a better life, she also isn't making a real effort to understand him and just assumes all her prior assumptions are correct, until she finally gets told off halfway through the conversation.
They reveal more than they meant to here, I think, it's honestly heartbreaking to read a bit... it might be leftover bias from me being a Jessica Kanon shipper when I first read the vn but I feel if this conversation went slightly different maybe Yasu could get some of the help they needed from Jessica.

Woah forgot about the Battler Yasu mention... combined with the mention about Battler saying the horse line to Shannon later on these are some pretty strong hints, though I guess narration is leading you to believe they are talking about Kinzo Beatrice

Sigh, I am really trying to not dislike you.
Funny how the narration pretty obviously from Rosa's perspective, initially gives this story about Rosa just pampering her daughter too hard because Rosa's oh-so-nice she went overboard, and then by the end it's talking about how Rosa hits Maria "impulsively".... how is Maria not supposed to develop unhealthy coping mechanisms of compartmentalizing her mother when her mother does the same to herself!
Nice one Rosa.... that's such a cruel thing to say, Rosa and Maria sections have always been some of the hardest scenes in the game to read for me.
The way her child is both her punching bag and her emotional support is both so extremely fucked up and incredibly realistic to how children of abusers are treated.
Krauss and Eva having a meeting about whether they are able to hide Krauss's death again (no)
It is kind of interesting to me that Rudolf seems more aware of his flaws than most of the cast... but doesn't seem to care too much about changing his behavior anyway.
This episode seems to immediately try to get to see you Maria in a different way to EP1 - her condescending magical genius persona didn't start until after the killings, here it's shown in a much more benign way, just a kid rambling about Halloween.
Imagine if Rosa instead of feeling ashamed Maria can remember so much trivia and tried to foster it into having her pick up history or something, like serriously it's impressive she can know so much about a certain subject! It's certainly more interesting and useful than my childhood hyperfixation being random Mario facts lol.
Kyrie's actually a pretty good mother to Ange all things considered, at least up to the point of what Ange saw, which maybe does tip me off a little to the "She said that stuff to Eva so that Eva would take care of Ange" theory.... I don't think she would manage to fake that so consistently otherwise.
To Yasu, who never really had parental figures, and probably idolized parents at some point I imagine their best friend having such a bad parent must hurt them really hard in a lot of ways.
And then Beatricce, coincidentally, does the same thing Kanon wanted to do but couldn't.
That's a really roundabout way to say you want to hang out, Maria.
Ouch, tough a couple lines later the illusion of a nice Kyrie gets blown away from me, though sympathetically I can interpret that line as Kyrie trying to get Risa to be nicer by speaking her language.
This scene's pretty easy to figure out, the one who knew about the crushed candy was Kanon and the fact Rosa can see Beatrice means she's an accomplice, and of course, Beatrice just made Maria close her eyes and switched the candy, and Rosa seeing it means she's going along with the story
She reveals she chooses her accomplices by convenience during this scene too.
it's pretty hard to not read Genji and Kinzo's relationship as romantic from Genji's side, though, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even admit that to himself.
I wonder if we should take this scene Kyrie happening to wander into Shkannon dressed as Beatrice, that would explain why she massacred all the siblings but Rosa in this episode, but also I don't think Yasu has any need to physically dress up as Beatrice at this moment... though I could see them doing it for funsies anyways.
Or alternatively, Kyrie could have been recruited as an accomplice earlier, and the reason she goads Rosa outside the parlor earlier was to set up the Rosa Beatrice meeting, and it would explain why Rosa's so on edge since she saw another accomplice getting slaughtered, but there's no real proof of that, I just think her getting Rosa to go outside is a little weird... It's not like she was a big issue at the conference, though I guess maybe Kyrie just saw her as the weak link in the anti-Krauss faction and felt like removing her from the beginning negotiations.

oh my god, alright.................... I've read the asks you received about Prapai/Fort going to town with Sky/Peat's chest and stuff............
I OBVIOUSLY had to go back and watch the scene again, for SCIENCE, mmhm mmhm, and I can't help to notice that he uses his tongue and sucks on his nipples like he's hungry, plus he left red marks all over him...........
I don't think the red marks are makeup at all, lol. and I remember the behind-the-scenes when Peat jokes with Fort "have you ever kissed gently in your life?" and they say "you seemed to be enjoying it a lot just now", and Fort's "I thought I had to enjoy it", he definitely seemed like he was enjoying himself during that scene. With Fort's habit of always doing more because it's P'Peat, I feel like all these puzzles just complete each other in a very interesting way, if you get what I mean 🤭🤭🤭
of course, they're amazing actors, but I can't help but think they might've enjoyed the heavy makeout session, just a lil slkjdaslkdaslkj that scene makes me go insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane.

And yes Fort did not go easy on Peat in the boardroom scene 😂😂 Fort doesn't know what being gentle means if peat and some kissing is involved. He lives and breathes Prapai during those times 😂😂😂 and Peat's comment about "have you kissed gently in your life" still cracks me up coz it reminds me of the Prapaisky Fantasy kiss coz that was NOT GENTLE. Prapai/Fort looked like he was devouring Sky/Peat and that elevated the scene to one of my favorites.
And tbh I won't be surprised if Fortpeat enjoyed a little bit of their "makeout scenes" they are super close and affectionate and I don't know if there's feelings involved and even if there isnt any there is no rule that says they can't. 🤷 Coz if it was me I would have enjoyed it 😂😂 coz it's fun 🤣 they are bloody brilliant actors and their onscreen partnerships in one of the major plus points.
Also I am not one of those people that goes around saying "you can't ship real life actors". If you wanna ship them go ahead I don't mind but don't go around mentioning them on socials with uncomfortable questions. That's where I draw the line. It's all fun and games as long as we respect them and their privacy. ❤️❤️

I see what you mean about Keita certainly having friends among the trainees -- I think that a lot of the trainees feel close to him, especially the Japanese trainees, I'd guess. But remember when Park Gunwook shook Keita's hand at the ep8 ranking ceremony? He shook his hand warmly, with a huge smile on his face, but he didn't HUG him. Now maybe Gunwook just isn't a hugger, but still. I just think Keita isn't quite as "in" with the cool kids clique as he could be. Everyone likes and respects him but I don't sense that bond, that "stay up all night talking, crying on each other's shoulders, telling each other stuff you've never told anyone before" kind of bond. But maybe I'm wrong! I should watch some more of the behind the scenes content -- let me know if there's a specific video that you think I should check out.
And yeah, you'd think for sure they'd want at least one Japanese trainee, but who knows what goes through MNET's single collective brain cell. It's like searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore movie.
buttt abt the threat bit i completely agree. i think the other trainees see him as a threat in a way he doesn’t view anyone else at all. i remember you said smth like “Keita sets a high standard even among the other previously debuted idols on this show” in one of ur posts, and i think this is a contributing factor. Keita simply has less to prove. he knows he’s good enough to be in the group, the judges know, the other trainees know, the viewers know, even people who don’t LIKE him know.
this is why he was so completely unafraid to make a super stacked team for Kill this Love even though he definitely wanted the killing part, and in ep 6 when they chose for the second mission, though they don’t show Keita choosing Zoom, in background shots you can see that Krystian, who he kicked out, was simply standing on the bottom row, closest to the walkway, and that is most likely the reason keita kicked him out.

comparing this line of thinking to Ricky, who kicked Jongwoo out of Love Killa because it meant he would be more likely to get the killing part, to Jiwoong who did the exact same thing to ricky two minutes later, and the differences in their thinking become clear.
Aaaannnd we ended up with an underwhelming performance of Love Killa, so thanks, everyone!
this isn’t me hating on any of them ofc, it’s a good strategy. but it’s a strategy that Keita isn’t using, partially because he is literally just that kind, but also because he doesn’t feel that pressure to prove everything he has the way most of the other trainees do.
Totally agree. It's kind of like what I was saying about how Matthew leads from a place of anxiety, while Keita leads from a place of confidence. It doesn't enter Keita's mind to scheme because he knows he has the goods. I think that this might contribute to his comparative lack of super close, emotionally bound friends -- you bond with people who you feel a connection to, and maybe it's hard for people to feel that connection with someone who doesn't seem to experience the same frustrations and difficulties that they do. But again, maybe I'm wrong.
and yeah, considering that there were two yuehuas on over me team as well, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that they made a plan to vote out the members they felt would be the biggest threats to them, position-wise, and any friendships made on the show def pale in comparison to years spent training tgt. i just thought it was rlly interesting cause all last week i was curious to see how ppl ended on their new teams (i did get spoiled lol) and after watching and thinking it over, it makes tons of sense. your recaps are always interesting reads, and i look forward to the performance specific ones !!

How did you get into Flubber? Its quite possibly one of the hottest things on earth and I definitely wish there was more kinky content on it!
This will be long because I've never really talked about this before:
Well when I was little, I always was drawn to the flubber more than I probably should've been. I don't think there was a specific 'reason'; I remember pretending I didn't like the movie sometimes and tbh, despite liking the character of Flubber - I do think the movie is bad lol. I know that Robin (rest in peace) is the 'star' of the movie but for a movie named Flubber, I wish the flubber was actually in it a lot more. It's partially why I want a sequel movie or maybe an extended cut of the original on disney+ since there seems to be deleted scenes of some of RW's improv, ex. how Brainard says 'shake your little Flubber booty' in one of the trailers (and yes, this is for horny selfish reasons b/c I want more of the cute, chubby goo). But yeah, I remember wanting Flubber to be real so I could play it with it and even though I eventually moved on, I would still sometimes watch scenes of the movie or look at pictures of only Flubber.
Anyway, I loved all the scenes with Flubber and I know the Wilson scene is the favorite amongst this community but the scene where Flubber is first 'born' is still my favorite. I love how soft and intimate it is as its kind of a metaphorical birth scene and as someone with a pregnancy/birthing kink, I love the symbolism with the flubber coming out of the 'womb' (the tank) for the first time (and I appreciate not being the only one who sees it as a birth scene as well lol). Honestly, it is the scene I used to rewatch the most whenever I would get into one of my 'moods' for Flubber and it isn't until writing this that I've considered that might be why. i also love how big and plump Flubber's lips are in that scene 🥵
Outside of that, I love the little sound effects and coos it makes in the movie, its bratty attitude (one of my favorite things about flubber is it looking and seeming very cute and innocent but also being a very bratty sexual deviant - while still being cute haha), its fat and chubby body (which I think is due to my pregnancy kink, Flubber straight up looks like it has a baby bump at times with the way they'll animate its belly moving when its shifting or hitting against something else):
There are also a lot of unintentionally (or secretly intentional) provocative moments with Flubber as well that feeds into feeling drawn to it- like flubber itself just feels naturally sexual and exploding with libido? it has a lot of constant, non-stop energy and nearly every time we see it interact with others outside of brainard, who is its creator (or 'father'), it's either playing with itself (the mambo scene, while iconic, is a super pointless scene; it's very self-indulgent which could also be rephrased as self-masturbatory and have the same meaning ironically) or is very much getting off to others erotically. Like what Flubber does to Wilson? That's a very invasive scene but also sensual - even if its in a sadistic type of way. They didn't have to write that into the movie yet they did. Flubber even giggles after shooting out of a man's anus, meaning it enjoyed it.
Another scene with Flubber clearly enjoying being sexual is when it is going berserk around town (which honestly, I think that entire scene is an example of Flubber getting off to sadistic pleasure but I digress). The one part I want to highlight is how it specifically stops when spotting a woman with a rather chunky butt and the camera then zooms onto the Flubber going 'woohoo!' in excitement. Doing that + having the flubber follow the woman's thick, swaying ass and then shapeshifting to make an exact replica of her booty cheeks and again, giggling while doing so is really random and adds nothing to the movie - other then just showing Flubber be horny for a woman's ass?
Also if you watch that scene closely, the end of Flubber's body bulges/gets bigger to match which one of the woman's ass cheeks it's currently following.
like, it was following her booty that intensely. flubber please.
But yeah, my interest in Flubber has adapted and changed as I've gotten older / interests have changed over time. I pretty much headcanon Flubber as a very sexual creature with heavy ties to artificial pregnancy (basically mimicking' the symptoms of pregnancy for whoever is 'carrying' it) whether I'm writing canon content (within the movie's universe) or writing content with Flubber (or creatures that are basically it) in more original universes. Since Flubber was created using some of Brainard's DNA as a catalyst, I also really love the idea of Flubber being a representative of brainard's latent libido/sexual desires and energy. To me, Brainard being too unfocused to tap into that aspect of himself while Flubber is solely focused on nothing but its own sexual gratification and fulfilling its own limitless lust is hot.
Flubber surpassing gender and shapeshifting to have breast and a dick/vagina (or both simultaneously) to fit its needs at the moment is very *chef kiss* to me too. Thankful for the artists that draws content like that of flubber 🥰
I'm not sure if there's a specific study on how things you watched as a child can form kinks / fetishes as an adult but I believe it to be true - all the kink related things I'm into now are based entirely on something I saw when I was a younger or a young teen. This video I watched randomly when I was 12/13 is what jump started me liking pregnancy content and I couldn't tell you why lol. I think Flubber is the same overall for me.

So watching inside job, entire episode is going off the mandela effect.
Summary: 'The Mandela Effect refers to a situation in which a large mass of people believes that an event occurred when it did not.'
But a lot of people hint/propose this was people jumping realities/timeline/parallel universes. It DID happen from wherever they came from.
<I mean, if you jumped, accidentally of course, entire universes/time lines/whatever, and the changes were VERY subtle (especially if you did this younger), it would be hard to notice unless it was IN YOUR FACE cuz...you've adapted. You're already adjusted to that reality. It's what the human mind AND body are programmed to do.>
I've heard about it a long long time ago. Heard many examples. The most famous I knew of was Bearstein vs bearstain bears. Fairly, on that, I was a kid and didn't pay attention to spelling too much. I am more storyline/main characters persons. Not to mention that it is easy to dismiss, in a way. Could be a misprint or something.
However, this episode pointed out to another famous one I did NOT know about. Our reality: Kazam with Shaq. Fake: Shazam with Sinbad. Now, again, title wise I do not remember. But I swear, I have vivid details of the sinbad movie. Why? Cuz, I dunno why, but as a kid, I LOVED sinbad, so I saw anything he was in. Yes, even that shitty president kid movie. I REMEMBER the sinbad genie magic movie. And yeah, I do remember the shaq movie too as a FUCKING joke (and I thought a copy OF the sinbad movie. If you wanted to see fan wack, it was me going 'you copied my fav guy's movie' as a kid lol).
So I remember BOTH movies as being real. It's weird. Here's where it gets weirder. I had a PERSONAL one that I forgot entirely till the Kazam/Shazam thing. It brought it back. From a place in my mind that I don't know is there. I PROMISED myself to post about it, but FORGOT it at the time. Instantly. Like amnesia forgot.
Avengers: Endgame (yes, it's been a while. I told you, I experienced it once, then I had NO PROOF at all I didn't imagine it).
I watch cam movies if I can't find a good version. Like any self respecting poor ass mother fucker. So that's another reason this was hard to prove: once I saw this version, it was overwritten (streaming so my ass doesn't end up in jail) by a NEW cam version, then later, the HD.
The FIRST cam version I saw (and it was within...days, max, of the movie coming out) I saw a scene entirely different in a major way than ANY other version I have seen (I checked it many times to see if it was a deleted scene since remembering. Fuck, it may be an alternative scene, but I still can't find proof of its' existence.)
In the scene where they track down Thanos (retired, weakened, etc), and find out he destroyed the stones, the scene EVERYONE saw was Thor killing Thanos.
What I originally saw (and I can not ever fully forget cuz I thought it was WAY WAY better written): Nebula, heart broken over her sister's murder, wraps this....metallic tech super whip around his neck, pulling, her leg on his side, tightening, till (they zoom out so you only see the shadow) his head falls off.
AND THAT SCENE ROCKED! I do NOT do fan fic bs. Not 'I could do it better' Cuz a-I probably could b-I probably couldn't cuz I didn't even come up with the original. This was not a dream. Not my imagination. I saw that scene. Till I saw it in HD, THAT IS THE VERSION I KNEW HAPPENED.
Just...I saw that, still vividly remember it, was planning on posting about it when I saw the OTHER version, but like, INSTANTLY forgot. It is weird...like, seeing the new version overwrote what my brain remembered originally. Like a patch update lol With technology, I sure as shit would not put it past them. Cuz let's be real: the version I saw is far more violent, and people wanted thor's redemption. So...why not test it out, it fails, put in the thor version, and just deny any other version exists? I mean, they have the power to...so it may not be themandela effect. Rather market testing, in extreme expedited ways....

I know nothing about chainsawman but i still encourage you to elaborate
The summary version is that just because an anime has a big budget and the ability to do The Most with fight scenes and coloring doesn't mean it's actually a good adaptation of those scenes.
It's not something I can explain in really great detail, but the entire time I'm watching the anime I can tell it doesn't give off the same...vibe as the manga. A lot of moments in the manga are remembered the way they are because of how weird they are. The composition, art style, and pacing of the manga do a lot to give relatively mundane scenes this sense of strangeness that gives the series it's identity. But the anime has a really had tendency of taking these scenes and making them feel so. Flat. The scenes are there, a lot of them are practically copied and pasted over, but they just don't feel right.
Maybe it has to do with the chance of pace from manga panel to animated scene? Maybe the lack of music that makes everything feel stale? Like, ok, let me go through this slower.
So here's some panels from the manga where Denji has just started living with Aki, and Aki is slowly losing his shit at having to put up with Denji's shitty behavior.
These pages are back to back and then it cuts to the next scene of them at work. The way the paneling is arranged, the slow change in Aki's facial expression, the pacing of it, it all comes together to show how living with Denji is kind of a fucking nightmare. And by giving us these short panels one after another, it makes this behavior seem back to back to back. Aki can't catch a fucking break and by the end of the scene you can visibly see how furious he is.
And now look at the same scene in the anime.
Like, look, maybe it's just me, but this just doesn't feel the same. The pacing is too slow, there's no music or any ambience at all which makes it feel flat and lifeless (and no, that's not me saying I need music for the scene to tell me which emotion to feel or whatever, but you gotta do something to add to the chaotic energy of this manga and it never does), and Aki's facial expressions just don't sell the look of building fury the way the manga panels do.
And I can't post any more pics on this post, but another example I can think of is Power's introduction in the same chapter/episode. In the manga the panel gives us a full body shot with a close up of her face to the side. The emphasis is on showing all of her at once, the messy clothing, her loud and brash personality, the way she holds herself. But in the anime they like, only show close ups of her? We get a shot of her feet before speeding past the rest of her body up to her face, where it lingers until she's done with her introduction and zooms out to show us her final pose. It's weird and awkward. And even after the shot zooms out we never get a full view of her clothing because it's blocked by her sweater.
Like if you had never read the manga and your first introduction to Power was this scene, you just wouldn't be getting the full effect of Power being a weird gremlin. It doesn't even feel like she's the focus of the scene. Her own introduction scene and the camera barely gives itself a chance to linger on her.
Added with the often times muted color palette, the seeming disdain to engage with it's own whimsy, and it's inability to really capture the way Fujimoto does facial expressions, I just don't think the anime is a worthwhile experience in comparison to the manga.
If you like the anime and think I'm full of shit, then more power to you. I'm not saying it can't get better or that I'm the only person allowed to have an opinion, but I just think that MAPPA spent too much of their time trying to replicate the manga scene for scene that they didn't really try and give it a personality lol.

not sure if you remember me but I'm the anon who sent that ask wondering if you seriously don't believe there's gonna be a romantic rina plot in season 3 (to which you pretty confidently said that no, you don't). I was just curious to know if anything has changed since seeing the trailer
Hi anon! Nice to hear from you again. 😊 I believe this is the ask you're talking about? To answer your question, no, my thoughts have not changed since the trailer released. Of course, this is going to be my biased opinion as a Portwell😅, but the Ricky and Gina moment in the trailer seems like a misdirect, mostly because they zoomed in on EJ's reaction. They're making it seem like they're gonna pull another Ricky/Nini/EJ love triangle (S1), except this time with Ricky/Gina/EJ (S3), but I think it's a misdirection to throw us off from whatever they really have planned for Ricky in S3. You notice how he's not super involved in the trailer the way EJ and Gina are? I think Tim has some major plans for Ricky in S3 that may go beyond his love life. I don't know what it is, but it must be spoilery enough that they couldn't include it in the trailer.🤔 If the Rina moment in the trailer was just the 2 of them, like the 1.05 or 2.05 scenes, then I'd be more inclined to believe that's clear setup for a potential romantic storyline in S3. But EJ's reaction to that moment is shown, just like Ricky's reaction to EJ/Nini in the cafeteria during the S1 trailer. Also, there's a strong possibility Ricky and Gina will play the leads/love interests in S3, just like Ricky and Nini in S1. I don't see the point in having EJ's worst fears come true all over again and have history repeat itself by having Ricky interfere in his relationship again.🤨 They deff make the love triangle more obvious in S1 trailer and promo b/c it was central to Ricky and Nini's plot. Because Ricky seems like a bit of a slacker/lost, or at least feels like he's outta place at camp in the S3 trailer, I doubt being a part of another love triangle is central to his story. Regardless, I was just happy to see Ricky and Gina actually talking to each other again LOL. I've missed their S1 goofy, fun dynamic!🥰

ive liked bts since 2016 when a youtuber I followed reacted to fire. ive been lowkey following their music since 2017 bcuz a very close friend of mine became an army after dna went viral and used to share a lot of bts mvs and songs with me. i started watching bts edits and clips in 2019 when a twt moot became a minjoon biased army and i had bts content all over my tl, and ive kept up with them ever since lol. but i couldn't Properly get into them until the lockdown in 2020 when I finally sat down and listened to all their songs and watched their performances. i think the BST mv + stage performances rlly solidified my love for them.
I watched a lot of bts compilation vids as well and rlly imo I think once you start watching bts content, there's just No turning back from there. they're so sincerely charming as ppl on top of having a Very solid discography theres no way out loool. in this bangtan sonyeondan shit for life, as a truly wise person once said. and ik in general most yt vids suck and include a lot of stereotypes for members and i don't recommend them as your intro to bts at All but there's So Many Cute ones as well. bts interview compilations, bts taking care of eo compilations, bts being funny compilations, etc. still i switched over to the original content quick enough lol, and there's So Much of it idt I'll ever be caught up entirely.
id say id joined and started interacting with the fandom by may 2020. bcuz i remember theorizing about the countdown to D-2 and screaming about spotting jinkook in the daechwita mv on the tl loool.
my bias has been jimin from the very beginning. ive been crying about how beautiful and wonderful he is since 2019 and im genuinely in love with him in a very best friend way (tae gets it). i think the first bts song i had on loop for a Month straight was filter lol. i saw this one edit by stussyjimin on twt that I was Obsessed with and ive been jimin biased ever since.
joon was my bias wrecker for a while bcuz he is genuinely so charming?? and Smart??? and his lyricism?? is out of this world?? and those yt compilations of him being patient with all the members rly made me love him sm
after i started watching videos of All members during the lockdown tho, i realized i was So Endeared by tae as well. he made me so Fond of him. he's always so sincerely Him. funny and strange and attentive and sweet and Observant. and then i watched a sweet night × tangled edit on twt and his voice??? was so Soothing?? i fell in love with him in a very best friend way too(jimin gets it). he's been my bias wrecker ever since ;-;-;-
when it comes to shipping, i started off as a moonfairy bcuz of the twt moot i mentioned lol. there was a Lot of soft minimoni content at the time, the kitchen run ep, the vlive, promise making behind the scenes and i found them So cute. i think id sat and watched All tae and jimin ship compilation vids at the time tbh. esp taejoon and minjoon. at heart, for some time, i was also a simple vminjoonist.
however as u know eventually yt starts reccing the analysis vids. and Those put me off both jkk and tkk so thoroughly ive never been able to get into the two ships again ;-;-;- it was very frustrating to want to watch minimoni compilations and have yt only recommend slowed down zoom ins on Proof That jkk/tkk Real. the comment section for these videos were also especially awful im ngl. the whole experience made me so sour i quit watching ship compilations on yt entirely. ;-;-;-;
i got into vmin specifically after i first Properly heard the soulmate anthem with lyrics and went ?!?!?!? this + the June 2020 Avalanche of vmin content turned me into a vminie. vmin content doesn't rlly filter into the ot7 spaces as much, so you've to Rlly go looking for it. i think after the unit interview 4 o'clock revelation i got curious about vmin and went ahead and found the small corner of vminies in the fandom bcuz even in June 2020 there Weren't very many of us here lol.
the old vminies kept talking about how vmin had changed over the years, so I went back to watch the old bangtan bombs to pay attention to vmin in particular. and like, once you See it, you can't Unsee it. ive talked about this before, but vmin have gone from The most rowdy best friends who roughouse for fun to The most gentle and tender soulmates and the transition is so ?!?!?!?!?

consuming seven years worth of vmin content where they're just loving eo, comforting eo, writing songs for eo and just declaring over and over that they're The most special to eo even tho they used to fight the Most rlly got me further in. i watched run eps and bon voyages and bts episodes and bangtan bombs. i stalked the vmin archive. @btsandvmin's blog also helps, it's quite well organized. and they have a very Balanced approach towards shipping.
