So, I saw some people saying Leo sacrificing himself at the end of the movie was very out of character for him. And I was really confused when I read this because for me Leo is the most self-sacrificing character in the whole group. In the episode “Minotaur Maze” they were going to get punished for cheating but Leo says something along the lines of “punish me their champion”. And in the episode “Flushed but never forgotten” when Leo see’s Piebald is about to flush his whole family as revenge, he tells Splinter it was his fault and says something like “flush me and let my family go”. These two episodes and the movie couldn’t be more different but they all have one thing in common Leo did something wrong which results in his family being in some type of danger and he tries to sacrifice himself to make everything right.

Usually after a twelve hour shift Ava was more than ready to leave Gaffney behind, beelining for her bed the moment she could. This day was different though, there was a nagging thought stopping her from closing her locker on her white coat and the shrill ring of her pager solidified that.

She read the 911 - ICU station 2 just as her name was paged over the intercom, setting her back into motion as she grabbed her stethoscope and left her locker unlocked. Latham was at a conference and Connor was in surgery, she only knew of one patient in the ICU that would need a cardiothoracic surgeon; one who had made it clear Ava wasn’t welcome.

“Sarah Reese you better not do anything stupid,” Ava whispered to no one, taking the stairs two at a time and praying to whatever entity may listen that they wouldn’t lose a resident today.
