this is set in post-game world where Tavs can romance Dammon because it's truly what he deserves (also I put this pic here bc you can really see the red in his hair and I think it looks hot)

“Why do you never wear your hair down?”

The question fell from Tav’s lips before realizing they said it out loud. They were sitting on the edge of the bed, watching Dammon brushing out his long, blonde hair that reached just past his shoulders. Every morning, he always took great care to make sure each knot was detangled before tying it up in his usual bun. His swift, easy motions show that he's been doing it for many years, keeping his method the same each time.

And every morning, Tav watched, paying close attention to their lover’s routine.

“Just don’t want it to get in my face while I’m working,” he replied, placing his hair brush on the vanity in front of him. “Plus, I'm not really a fan of the smell of burnt hair. Rather unpleasant, if you ask me.” He chuckled lightly.

Tav tried to imagine the tiefling’s hair in any other style, but nothing specific came to mind. It was either up in a bun or let down, which they only had the privilege of seeing right before they go to bed.

“Is that bun the only style you know how to do?”

“‘Fraid so.” He lifted his hands to the crown of his head, tying his hair tightly in a ponytail. “Never really had anyone tell me how to take care of it, other than to wash and brush it out.”

“Have you ever worn it in a braid?”

He chuckled lightly, “Can’t say I have. Though I think my fingers might not be able to move like that anymore.” He looks down at his hands, rough and calloused from years in the forge. They definitely weren’t as nimble as they were when he was younger.

“Well, can I do it for you?” They asked eagerly, “I think. you'd look rather handsome with one.”

“Go ahead.” He said with a smile.

Tav scooted backwards and spread their legs, inviting Dammon to sit in front of them with a pat on their thighs. He obliged, leaning forward a bit to give them some room to work with his ponytail.

They have felt his hair between their fingers countless times before – fine, straight, golden locks with hints of auburn, always soft to the touch. Tav took his ponytail in their hands, sectioning the hair into three strands before crossing them over each other. They tried their best to keep their motions tight and precise, pulling on the strands ever so gently, so none of them would fall out during Dammon’s day at the forge.

Facing away from Tav, the tiefling’s eyes were closed shut, his shoulders relaxing as he felt his partner’s hands in his hair. It was no secret to them that he enjoyed having his hair played with, especially when the two of them were between his sheets. But the way they were touching his hair now felt like something completely new to him. The intimacy of someone he cares for so deeply helping him with his morning routine, one he’s done for years and years, one he’s done all by himself.

It made him fall in love with them even more than he already was.

“Aaaaand done!” Tav smiled, securing the end of their lover’s hair. “What do you think?”

Dammon stared at himself in the mirror as he reached for his hair, holding it out so he could see what Tav had done. He could see them in the mirror's reflection, eagerly waiting for his response.

He smiled as he looked upon their work, his hair perfectly entwined in a beautiful braid. He’d never seen his hair like this, and he was surprised with how much he liked seeing it in this style. In fact, he almost preferred his hair pulled back like this.

But he mostly liked it because it was his lover that created it.

“I love it, Tav.” He turns his head, planting a kiss on their cheek. “Thank you.”

From that moment on, every time Tav would spend the night with him, Dammon would always ask them to braid his hair in the morning.

This is from an au created by @bonkdd, but i did rob and andrew's designs bc i never saw his designs for them. i also added a lot of lore and plot stuff because i really liked the concept. in simple terms the tallies are robots that were abandoned by Marvin after he passed away so now they're falling apart n stuff without him to care for them (that's why rob hides his face). Anyways, huge thanks to Bonk for the original idea! They're a great artist, you should go check them out!

Did an embossing peice. It's the Mojo Chessmaster! I tried by best to make it as detailed as possible, and I think I did pretty alright. The neck was probably the worst part to do. Below are close-ups

the head of the guitar was a pain in the ass.

This part was also pretty tricky but it came out okay. the dials at the bottom are raised as much as I could get them to go, so I'm not worried about them. My issue here was the pickups.

I also added Flansburgh's little signature guy but i drew his hair because why not? Anyways this piece took me a good hour or so to finish, I think it'll fetch a good grade (it was for my metal design class).

I'll add a sketch I just did as a bonus:

it's from a tally hall fanfic/au i made back in may after my grandpa passed away. It was a great stress-reliever and I still really like how it turned out. It's about cryptids and monsters and shit. I'll post a summary on a different post because this one was mostly for the drawings. I might post a few installments of it on my ao3. It could be a weekly thing since i usually have time on fridays to write.

Once again, a close-up is available below.

I put literal hours of research on cryptids and of the area (ann harbor, MI) while writing this fic. It was fun though, and it helped me a lot. Feel free to ask me anything about the plot or world-building !

Not hate but a complaint on my gallacrafts for theme 11 I'm fucking gay. I got an anon asking why I made the lesbian flag & put the phrase I'm fucking gay & i that should have just done lesbian although I had actually made both but it was on the part 2 bc i had a limit of 10 pictures.

7. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t drawn for yet but want to?

Maybe Spirk or Soul x Maka from Soul Eater

Gallavich most definitely, they hit all my likes in a ship plus they're canon & married to boot! #spoiled 😆

Yeah I started getting back into drawing with makinng flowers for mutual's birthday 🥰 I've also made little mascots of baby animals for my niece's baby shower

10. What’s the an art piece you’ve drawn that came out completely differently than you expected?

Probably the GGE2022 for Macy. I had some other ideas. Also their poses were gonna be different like it was either the back of them looking at snow or tumbled into the snow on top of an ny roof top but still not the best at figure drawing so i just did the best of my abilities 😄

Not yet but one day 😏

Not that I know of

Faces, hair, blushing & colouring maybe?

17. What’s your favourite art piece you’ve drawn?

I would say my good omens au I simply adorethe little details I put into the drawing. I referenced Mickey's outfit in Ian's delete scene dream. Ian's outfit is 7x10 just in darker colours. I loved being able to create Ian's ombre eyes by colour picking Cameron's hazel ones. Ian's hair shading. The heart wings & being able to creat the wing texture on the angel wing. AND their signature shows with the timberland & bright read air forces!!! I had such a fun time drawing this 🥰 Also it was my 100,000 post lol

18. What is one thing you’d like to tell people about your art that they might not know?

My gallavich art is the first time I've been colouring my drawings. When I drew a lot in high school I would just do the line art & was too hesitant to colour them.

19. What inspires or motivates you to create for fandom?

Definitely you guys! Being able to make you guys smile. As well as your creations & the creating events 💕🖌

20. And finally, can you describe your process a little? Do you have a favourite place to draw? Do you play something in the background? Do you do research or just go for it? Give us a little insight.

I do like to crawl up into a hunched ball on the lounge couch or my bed (which should stop bad for posture lol) Then I do enjoy playing YouTube video essays about internet history/horror games I'd never play or movie reactions.

Also, I am more of an artist who researches & and works with many references. I got a whole lotta unclosed tabs of Ian & Mickey, body poses & clothes that i forgot to close lol.

so basically a few weeks ago paul bellini sent me two signed mouth congress vinyls as a late birthday present slash gift for running the mouth congress social media and i thought i'd post a vinyl tour bc there's so many cool details here! this is gonna be a long post bc the lyric booklet that came with waiting for henry is pretty much a full zine and i really love all the effort they put into it

the lighting was a bit off in these pictures but the vinyls are so beautiful it's unreal. ahhhh the pollution is a translucent bright orange, the first half of waiting for henry is beige, and the second half is this beautiful bright blue that looks like blue rasperry candy. i'm always a sucker for colorful vinyls (i just picked up a copy of "take the sadness out of saturday night" by bleachers on a seaglass vinyl the other day) and i wasn't sure if they had any left so the fact that both releases are on such beautiful vinyl is amazing

next we have the zine!! here's the cover:

the first few pages are a short summary of the mouth congress story as told by paul himself, along with a few pictures of the band members from their college days:

after that we have a fictitious profile of the band written by aviva avoovoo (a freelance writer character created by paul bellini) where she visits the mouth congress chalet and discovers the "dark secrets" that lie within. it's so funny and surreal but i didn't want to post every page of it so instead i'll focus on this old vaguely-cursed pic of paul that accompanied the writing:

once we're done with the fictional side of things there's a two-page spread of cassettes mouth congress put together in the 80s/90s that they released in an attempt to promote the band. each cassette description has a list of featured songs, some of which were later put on "ahhhh the pollution" or "waiting for henry" and some of which i'd never heard about previously and am very intrigued by. i took close-up pics of these two specifically since they're the ones i most want to look into from that page

specifically i really wanna learn more about madam alphonsa. who is she. she's mentioned in "me on my off hours" and makes an appearance on "madamifesto" and "let's hear it for show business." they mentioned in the mouth congress documentary that kevin used to play madam alphonsa's husband. several characters scott played in mouth congress were later done on kids in the hall but madam alphonsa is my new lost media obsession.

after that we have a solid six pages of scott and paul interviewing each other. again it's very long so i'm not posting everything but it was a very good interview which makes me love the band even more and it also had this picture with it:

then we have at least 10 pages of lyrics for every song on waiting for henry as well as short blurbs about the story behind each song which was really cool and might be its own post someday, but last but not least i wanted to leave you with my favorite part of the mouth congress zine: the word search

legit took this pic just so i could highlight the words digitally and not draw on the actual zine but oh my god i had so much fun doing this. unironically i think every vinyl should come with a thematically linked word search. it really just goes to show how much joy and effort scott and paul put into everything mouth congress does and i'm so honored i get to be part of their story at the level where i can get something like this autographed and sent to me for free (and also might get free admission to an upcoming mouth congress show if i help them set up beforehand and film the show?? like paul you do realize i would pay VIP prices for this but thank you for doing it for free?? also thank you for asking how my own musical went and genuinely caring about the answer???)

anyway this got a little rambly towards the end but my point is. queercore punk is truly the genre of all time and mouth congress is so fucking great nobody is going it like them

Okay finally rested enough to talk ab the craft show!

So for YEARS this one has been heaaavily coveted by many crafters and has been hard to get in, but always told that it's worth it. That you'll make your table cost back in like two hours!

Yeah no... had mom not made wreaths, we would have lost money... Anyway super super dead at times like absolutely no one walking around, just the vendors getting up and shopping bc they could. Then it would pick up but you would get maybe 2 interested shoppers out of every 10. 4 if you were lucky.

People adored the boo boo bunnies and cat toys and I sold the most of them. So now I have to make more cat toys 😭. It's not the amount of effort it takes to make them, I love making them. I hate stuffing them with catnip 😭😭😭 but that's why people (and cats) love them. Also need to put bells on them bc people really like the ones with bells, which I stopped doing bc several people kept asking if I thought their cats would eat the bells... like you can cut it off man idc sgdggdgd once you buy it it's yours idc if YOU eat it if that's your thing just give me my dollar

Have to make a card for the bunnies bc it's hit or miss on if people know what they're for (you pop em in the freezer and hold them to a small "boo boo" and use it like a little ice pack, or you can pop out the reusable cube and use ice. Either way it's a cute little ice pack.

Only my one cousin bought any handwarmers 😭 and her wife had to pay me in $4 worth of quarters sgsgdggddg I was like take your time you could pay me in pennies and that'd be fine too (had a little kid pay me 25 cents for a slap bracelet in various coins and it was so sweet 🥺)

My mom posts our shows on her fb so that family and friends can show up to support us, and the first time since we've been doing these, we had 3 groups of family come in!

But that wasn't always a good thing...

My mom's cousin brought her daughter and granddaughter, and they talked for awhile and eventually mom's cousin bought a wreath (thank god). And she was like "oh my god this is so beautiful!! 😍" and complimented my stuff as well (but my stuff is more geared towards kids/parents like the boo boo bunnies, so she didnt buy anything from me agdgdgdg)

Then my cousin (not the handwarmers one) came and I used to really love her/she was my favorite cousin... until she moved back to the state and I realized goddamn you're super annoying and have 0 social awareness (in a THE ATTENTION SHOULD BE ON ME! and a never really thinking ab the situations she puts people in when she does shit, way. Not a "I am incapable of grasping social norms/social rituals"/"I cannot control how loud I'm being/why what I say might be considered rude" way.

Anyway she fosters dogs and has 4? Of her own, anyway she always has at least one dog with her at any time. Doesn't matter if you were attacked by one when you were a small child, or that you only have cats, it's a small dog! You're gonna like this one!!

She takes them into the grocery store too 😑. Anyway she brought her foster dog to it and ofc everyone kept coming over to see it and every fucking time she would canvas this dog like "his name is Bob. He goes up for adoption in two weeks at [shelter she volunteers at]" to every goddamn person who walked by.

"But Mar, doesn't that mean she brought customers to you?"

Nope! She and her dog blocked customers from my table bc they couldnt fucking get in with the people cooing at the dog and figured eh I'll skip this one, there's 100 vendors here.

Doesn't mean that every person who skipped would've bought from me, but none of the people who came up for the dog bought anything or so much as looked twice at my shit anyway. 😑

She did tell our cousin to meet her there though bc our cousin's wife is a photographer and she was gonna take pics of the dog at a nearby park. Didn't mention AT ALL that we had a booth, so they didnt really bring a lot of money, they thought they were just gonna say hi to us real quick then go.

My cousin's wife was like YOU DIDNT TELL US THEY HAD A BOOTH HERE?!?! OMG LOOK HOW CUTE!!!!! and they bought 2 handwarmers from us 🥰. And we gave their son some stuff for free as a gift (plus bc they ended up staying for like 2 hours and that shit is only so fun for a 7 year old for so long. But it was more so just Handwarmer Cousin staying to talk to my mom for most of it while her wife, son, and Dog Cousin went shopping/canvased Bob around. But I like HW cousin still so it wasnt bad sgdggdgd I just half listened to them talk while I took care of customers. Sold 1 ornament (the whole show), some cat toys, and I think another bunny, in that time lmao)

But the whole time Dog Cousin was there I was like 😐/🙁 instead of my fake customer service smile bc that smile only lasted until the second person she canvassed Bob to and that was approximately 30 seconds.

She didnt even consider buying anything, or say anything ab our table. Only when my mom asked her if our prices were reasonable. To which we got a "yeah." Then immediately back to Bob. 😐

After they left I went to walk around and goddamn there was nothing really good there except two crochet tables which had little plushies but nothing that jumped out at me.

Did trade a tooth pillow for a small tombstone shaped bar of soap of about the same price with another vendor sggdgdgdgd which was odd but nice

Anyway here's hoping my cousin wont come to the next/last show and that we find fun stuff at that one to buy sgdgdgdg

#it was nice to see HW cousin and her family bc theyre nice people. i mean i dont really know her wife and son well bc i didnt go to the #wedding bc of AID (wanted to go though) but god every time Dog Cousin and i interact i like her less sgdgdggdgd #marquilla #really wish we sold more but im hoping having two tables will help at the next/last one bc it is CRAMPED #but thats bc i forget my inventory list and am like cramming to make ornamenta and well... no one likes them i guess :/#for the next one i just need to make cat toys and maybe more bunnies (i wanna find blue baby washcloths but im cheap shdggdgd ill check #marcs again. otherwise it's the soft long earred bunnies)#kids really love to buy the cat toys bc theyre 2 for $1 bc i use them to use up scraps and left overs and it's so cute to see them #pick through and then triumphantly hold up their choices. even better when i offer them a tiny bag and they get so happy like :0 !#didnt expect the post to be so long but whew

Okay so hear me out with your eyes right quick bc I'm still feeling a type of way about this situation.

Basically KikoVanity got called out for stealing hair from a SecondLife creator, but another Simmer (who I'll call SD) got caught in the crossfire and they ended up deactivating their account. Lemme back up right quick.

Kiko's name wasn't mentioned in the initial call-out post however she did respond to it nonetheless.

But here's where the problem comes in for me and this is my opinion and mine alone. It's this post right here.

Now I could totally be wrong and might be overthinking it, but I can't help but feel like a narrative is being pushed that SD and Kiko're the same person (they're not) or that SD knowingly supported a thief which is why they deleted their tweet (they didn't). Around the time the picture was deleted, I DMed SD and informed them that the hair was stolen and they had absolutely no idea, especially given the fact that they don't fck with SecondLife theft at all. They deleted the pic immediately afterwards and that should've been the end of it. Idk what happened during the 8hrs I was gone but when I did came back I saw their account's been deactivated and I'm just hoping it's to avoid the drama altogether.

ngl, I'm a lil annoyed this happened cuz the main reason I chose to DM SD was so that ish like this didn't happen.

Like I get it, thieves suck unwashed bootyholes and they should rightfully be called out for their bullswanky, but I wish Timms saved SD's pic (like I n others did) and put it side by side with the SecondLife picture instead of QRTing 'em.

I'm just not feeling that... like... at all tbh...

Again, I could be wrong (kinda hoping I'm wrong) but that's just how I'm feeling right now and wanted to get it off my chest.

I'm re-watching Thirteen's era in lead up to the Centenary and since this is likely going to be my last full re-watch for a while I thought I'd do a post on each ep where I just go over all the things I love, hate or just have some general thoughts on.

When S13 aired I made a posts similar to this after re-watching each ep before the next one came out. The Halloween apocalypse post can be found HERE.

I still can’t believe S13 started off with Thasmin in a bed together like…

I remember when this ep first aired and when I rewatched it before ep two I didn’t give a single fuck about the tunnel guy. But then by the end of the series I was like oh this is kinda cool

Dan’s first scene where he’s hyping up Liverpool is kinda cringe. Idk if it’s the dialogue or how John plays it but I’m not a huge fan

If this is foreshadowing I will materialise in Chris Chibnall’s bedroom at 3AM

Remember when we had these pics and people were speculating what it was. I remember some ppl thought it was Davros and I was genuinely baffled. I think I thought the eye had Sontaran vibes

It looks so cool!! Also that is literally Jared Leto and I can’t get over it

I do kinda wonder why Swarm chose now to escape? Or like, what suddenly gave him the ability to do it. Maybe they said and I just missed it but it kinda feels like a nice coincidence that rn is when he manages to get out. Not a big deal but meh

Right from the beginning Dan and Karvanista are an iconic duo

I’m actually obsessed with then someone calls the Doctor out and she’s like ‘lol idk what you mean’ but she says it so poorly like she doesn’t even attempt to sound like she’s telling the truth it’s so good

Yaz getting annoyed and frustrated at 13 in this ep is just so amazing idek what to say. This was what I so desperately wanted to see from S13 and Chib really pulled through

Claire interrupting their chat is so annoying. It happens multiple times in this ep and then in 13.06. Like instead of a convo naturally coming to its end, something gets in the way so characters aren’t forced to actually respond and it makes me crazy

Proud 13 :’) I love seeing Yaz be more Doctor-y and I feel like her literally controlling the TARDIS is a 10/10 way of showing it

The whole scene in the TARDUS where 13 says about not mentioning everything is 10/10 (up until the convo gets cut off)

I do think what’s going on with Azure is fairly obvious. She got sent away as her punishment and I assume chameloned, and the warning that showed up was them telling her Swarm escaped. And then when Swarm got to her he managed to reverse it/get her back. I do think more time spent on her might have been nice but also I think all the info we need is literally right there so it’s like who cares idk. I imagine there was some cut scenes and we got left with the bare bones of what we need to understand which is fine imo

This is literally so ‘I’m the Doctor, I’m a Time Lord….’ coded

Yaz and Dan have a 10/10 vibe literally instantly it’s unreal

Lupars having designated humans is so cool. I also love that Karavanista does what he needs to do but isn’t happy about it lmao

Love that Dan shouts and Yaz tells him off. Also odds on Yaz wanting to sneak in bc she thought she might be able to hear some of what the Doctor and Karavanista were talking about before the Doctor realised she was there

How close Swarm gets to 13 is so uncomfortable and weird I love it ngl

I love Yaz doing all the talking when Dan asks questions. Like even before they get separated from the Doctor Dan is more like Yaz’s companion than 13’s

I love that the Vortex energy does literally nothing. Shows how powerful the Flux is

The cliffhanger of this ep is so cool I stg. I even love all the shots to the ppl we met in this ep. I think I used to think it was a bit cringe but this time round it got me hyped as fuck

10. Uchuu Summer (feat. Private Caller Hawaiian Shirt and Watermelon Pop Hawaiian shirt)

Shout out to Jacob & Karina Drawfee for wearing their cool shirts from this rad artist-owned store during a livestream which prompted me to buy two of my own shirts as the stream was happening. no model pics bc these shirts just recently came in (these previews are pulled from the website, also just want to say their preview art goes so hard) but when summer comes round again i will have infinite rights

9. Awesome Socks Club

(i don't have any cool pics yet for this one either because the subscription starts at the beginning of 2023 but look at the past designs on this website and tell me they don't absolutely fuck)

I saw a tumblr post from Hank Green about his socks subscription service where each month they get a new indie artist to design a pair of socks and all of their profits go to charity and look. i couldn't not do it. i fucking love weird quirky socks i was doomed from the moment i saw the words "awesome socks club".

8. REGALROSE (feat. Betrayal hoop dagger earrings)

REGALROSE is a UK based company that makes supremely badass jewelry. i picked up these dagger earrings to complement a wedding outfit and i think it worked very well if i do say so myself. Tbh very challenging to get good close ups of these lol so you're just gonna have to take my word for it that they're just as cool and badass in person as you might imagine. Favorite earring purchase of the year hands down!

7. Across a Field of Starlight by Blue Delliquanti

Became a huge fan of Blue Delliquanti after reading their excellent webcomic O Human Star (HUGELY recommend if you're in the mood for good sci fi with strong queer/trans themes btw!) and was thrilled to find out that they were coming out with a YA sci fi graphic novel with nonbinary protagonists earlier this year. Even more thrilled to discover how tender and heartfelt the story was!! Highly recommend for any graphic novel/sci fi enthusiasts!!

6. An Assortment of Records

My parents got me a record player for my birthday this year so obviously i had to buy the fuck out of some vinyls(there are plenty i bought that aren't pictured here but i was too lazy to scrounge up every single pic i have on hand of my records skdjfnskdnfs)

5. Sleepy Peach (feat. Choose Violence sweater vest, Locals Only bomber jacket, & Bird of Paradise cardigan)

Sleepy Peach is an independent clothing store that makes some bombass clothing, so colorful and fun and eyecatching! a friend sent me a link to their Instagram and i went OOH and never went back. I basically lived in the bomber jacket for most of the year and i have absolutely no regrets

4. Classics but Make it Gay: Volume II (edited by Nova & Mali)

Nova & Mali are a small queer publishing house that puts out some really incredible queer-themed art books and projects. This is part of a series that reimagines classic art through a queer/trans lens and it's absolutely gorgeous from start to finish, featuring so many talented artists it honestly blows my mind. They're planning on putting together a Volume III next year which I'm really looking forward to supporting!! (i also have digital copies of Cover Me Queer, an art book of queer-themed romance novel covers, and their Our Flag Means Death fanzine and they're both fantastic, just some outstanding work from these folks)

3. The Calorum Cookbook (unofficial Dimension 20 inspired fanzine)

Dimension 20's "A Crown of Candy" has an INSANELY talented fandom, it's truly jaw-dropping. The Calorum Cookbook is a charity fanzine cookbook inspired by ACOC's world that collects original recipes and TONS of amazing accompanying fanart and spot art. The layout is so professional and aesthetically pleasing, the recipes look so delicious (can't wait to try my hand at some of them!) and they even all come with little blurbs of in-world fanmade lore that put the recipes in the context of the show's setting in such a fun and creative way! Everything about this zine delights me and I'm so glad i decided to purchase a physical copy so I can hold it in my hands with childish delight and wonder. unfortunately i don't think they're selling physical copies anymore but I still recommend checking out the featured artists and contributors, this is a cool bunch of people!

2. Kinwamonster (feat. Monster Train bag, Big Bad jacket, & Home sweater)

One of my favorite independent clothing brand discoveries of the year! run primarily by one artist, i'm just so in love with the aesthetic and the quality of these products. This sweater is seriously the comfiest thing i own and i use the monster train bag for everything, it fits basically everything i need when I'm out and about. don't even get me started on this jacket, if it were possible to put it on and never take it off I ABSOLUTELY WOULD. I think they're currently on break but I'm really excited to see what they'll release in the new year!!!

1. Original lineart of Princeps Zortch from Dimension 20's A Starstruck Odyssey (by Amy Reeder)

This is undoubtedly one of the coolest purchases i have ever made in my goddamn life. unfortunately i am so hopelessly lazy and haven't gotten a frame for it yet so it's basically just sitting on my bedroom wall right now but MY GOD it is glorious. Thank you Amy Reeder for making such wonderfully compelling character art for dimension 20 and for the amazing opportunity to get my hands on the real actual lineart of my favorite npc of my favorite d20 season!!!!

i feel bad for thinking this but like,, my mom and brother do chipotle movie fridays and they came home not that long ago with their bowl and burrito and chips. i looked up how many calories are in an average bowl,, and they ate more than me in one meal than i did in the entire day (knowing them it's certainly on the higher end of the average, and they had chips with guac). i hate that i feel like that but fuck dude. when my mom came home she said she was starving and i know she had a full breakfast too.

ANYWAY i was gonna have a sandwich for dinner but my bread (which expires today) had some mold so i pivoted.

also i've decided it's day one this diet was just something called get worse so day one: 1400 cals. not following any of the rules (except for the fasting one if you know the diet). i may have to pause it at some point depending on if the fam does something (unlikely) but i'll let you know if that happens

so i had my fried rice for breakfast (turns out i forgot to add oil in the recipe on lose it so that's +120 calories to yesterday btw 🙃 fixed from now on. also wanna get used to smaller portion sizes so i weighed it today to see how much the full dish is so i can start halving it or more starting tomorrow) with a diet coke, half a bag of shirataki noodles (seriously it's 5 cals for half the bag and it's pretty good) with an egg and green onion (picked off half the green onion at some point tho it was a little too earthy still after a wash), and to replace my sandwich i basically had everything (except for ketchup) just in a taco shell?? it wasn't great but was better than i expected and it nearly halved the cals so 10/10 if you still want sandwiches i suggest taco shells (honey ham, gouda, 1tbsp mayo, bit of lettuce).

Entry 1.6.4-2 - The Oakenhall of Timberport

Welcome to my blog. I’m not tagging anything but entry #, so sorry if my unrelated mess somehow ends up in your search.

Just realized 1.6 came out in 2013 so we're now in a 10 year old edition, slowly catching up.

I'm wondering if maybe I should focus on more farming, just grind in my existing plains biomes especially since acacia/dark oak is being added in 1.7. Then I considered waiting until 1.7 to roam for horses, but if I run into a roofed forest then, I might lose access to a woodland mansion (not added until 1.11) so I truly can't wander much until biomes and caves are locked in.

This adds an interesting aspect to my gameplay, since usually in a Normal™ minecraft world I will typically wander too far from my base, die, have no idea where I was, and give up. Hence why my last major world project was hardcore. I hate being locked into hard mode but I acknowledge that I am not a good enough gamer to play on hard all day every day.

Tangent aside, I'm going to be stuck in 1.6 for a while I think. Which is disappointing, because I am Very excited for afk fish farming in 1.7 but can't upgrade.

If I'm going to be here for a while, I'm going to spend some time properly constructing buildings around the village. I've been doing little bits of terraforming and tearing down houses, I think my (kind of ugly) house) is one of the few buildings left standing. I'd like to relocate my house, maybe to the top of the mountain above Giratina, but I don't know.

I think this location would be good for a better hotel/inn setup than I currently have, I scaled down a "modern" build I saw on google for the previous villager housing and I don't think I'm a fan. Reconstruction time!

I do want to make sure I reuse these brick stairs for something in the new build though, bricks were (and kinda still are) a flex.

[ONE WEEK OF GAMEPLAY LATER]

hey so uh. there were a few progress pics but tumblr ate my previous draft of this post. Say hello to Oakenhall. I played with fantasy name generator and kinda got stuck on a wood theme kick bc I want to use mostly wood for the village buildings and plant an illuminated (maybe more froglight mushroom themed later on) forest close to the walls.

It'll be expensive and time consuming, but I want to put logs columns where I would have placed corner stairs on the wall, if that makes sense.

like hiding where the wall corners meet.

Anyway, I wanted this blog to be a bit more journal-y so I'm going to start doing more weekly-ish posts where I play in small increments before work and *maybe* make more progress on days off, maybe. Then at the end of the week I'd just tour any unique changes rather than my current strategy of literally blogging while I play, which is kind of distracting.

ANYWAY. I want to make the most of this is a kind of taste of what the new entrys will be like.

This is the back of Oakenhall, I wanted to make some kind of back mural but with only a 3x5 area I just made it a little abstract rainbow.

This roof will take me forever I hate building roofs so much this is why I just squared off the old building

Also, can we talk about how time consuming wooden builds are?

Like between the walls and floor (don't get me started on accent logs) this takes so much wood. But also, I wanted to show somehow that this is plank floor so I used all the stairs I got from tearing down villager roofs as a kind of baseboard.

At the rate I'm going and how much wood I still need, I might have to take a break from building to enchant another axe (silk touch would be nice, even if its not on a pickaxe..)

I don't think I would ever make an automatic tree farm. If I'm going to build something from wood, I would much rather just cut down trees (getting saplings to hoard to turn into bone meal later) than have to create complex redstone contraptions to break the game and duplicate sand to mine the wood with TNT. Waaayyy too much work.

Between those two logs is the entrance, I have 8 doors and 8 beds on this floor. I still haven't crafted any paintings for the interior but I'm focusing on the 2nd floor walls rn so my wool is going to smth else

the 2nd story has 10 doors and 12 beds, I'm prepped for when they'll eventually need beds, and I may have some "accidental" villagers walking into lava so that I can get every profession here.

I do have quite the little collection of them now, I'm pretty sure they're ready to move into their new home. Could've swore I had a priest and a few more villagers but they could've wandered off or killed themselves climbing my incomplete demolitions. I did accidentally axe one.

Glad the golem is happy w/ the new place :)

I guess my next post will be next Tuesday if everything goes according to plan.

I'm not quite on a break! I still have another summer class I'm taking, but it's not as condensed so im not working on it every day thankfully!! My exams went well too! I got an a in the class 🥰 I've been doing well on the exams for the other class too even tho they are notorious for being super hard so 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We just finished the episode where the performance unit came so it's funny you mention that!! When I first watched iland I didn't Stan seventeen but now that I do it was even more fun~ I'm really glad the iland boys won't have to compete again either 😭 the mentor groups would actually be so cool 👀👀👀 that's a really cool idea!! Soooo, I'm gonna be honest. I feel like there's a lot to unpack here, but I'm lacking the energy to do so bc real life kinda has me down right now. So I'm gonna share some thoughts, and what follows are 100% my feelings and opinions on the matter of Colin's career.

So, here goes...

The truth is, we don't know what Colin is or is not doing in regards to his career. We don't know the conversations he has with his agent, we don't know the roles he auditions for, we don't know the projects he may or may not be working on until they are publicly announced, and it has always been that way.

Also, we don't know what his interest level is. We don't know if there are new ventures he wants to branch out into, like more voice acting or the podcast he recently did. We don't know what life has been like for him while he's enjoyed so much time at home in Ireland with not only his immediate family, but his extended one as well. We don't know what role the pandemic has played in any of these areas, either.

I know it is frustrating to be a fan and not have new content to flail over, but to assert that it is because he's doing nothing or has zero interest in his career seems a bit... presumptuous and well... wrong, in my opinion. Because as I said, We. Don't. Know.

And I'm gonna share another opinion that you might not want to hear, and I'm sorry if you came into my inbox hoping for some commiseration, but...

I don't think Colin owes us any answers. I don't think he owes us his time. I don't think he owes us his career choices or social media presence or regular updates on his projects. And I know some people will argue with that, but that's honestly how I feel, despite the joking comments or cheeky tags I might post.

I think Colin is an amazing actor. He's one of my faves, and I HOPE he continues to land roles and be a part of fantastic projects, but ... It's his life. His career. I don't get a say in it. None of us do.

I'll continue to be a fan of his because of the work he HAS done, and I'll support any new projects he becomes a part of, even if I'm not entirely jazzed by them. However, it is valid for fans to grow weary and impatient and choose to focus their fandom energy elsewhere, and that's totally fine as long as they aren't rude or disrespectful about it (and I truly hope no one takes what I've said as rude or disrespectful, bc that is absolutely NOT how it is intended).

Bottom line... I get the frustration. I understand that you miss him, I do, too. I stand with you in the hope that we'll see him on our screens in a new role we can all fall in love with (or love to hate, lol), very, VERY soon. Until then, remember that just because we don't see it, witness it, hear about it, or have concrete knowledge of it, doesn't mean he isn't working. In fact, we know he has been bc he does have a project coming out in August on Apple TV, so that is something we can all look forward to.
