(well, finished enough to post and call "done", i should say. i may yet meddle with some details when i inevitably notice ten more flaws immediately after posting :D)

good old moss knight, such a devout follower of big slug. surely no wandering knight would ever end such a noble creature's life before he had the chance to speak with a certain fellow at a nearby bench! :D

this was essentially just me testing the waters with digital after some time avoiding it, and especially colours/lighting. it's been a while since i actually tried to make something fully fleshed out like this. i don't know, i feel like it could have come out worse :)

just got to the halfway mark in my french dictionary!!!

#i started this on april 5th but for the first 3 months i was reading 3 pages/day #and since july 8th i've gone down to 2 pages/day #so though it's been less than 5 months to get through half the dico it's going to take me another 6 months or so to finish #going at my current rate #anyway if you're curious halfway through the french dictionary is in the middle of the i's <3 #it is. HILARIOUS 2 me that before i started this project i was like 'what's a good amount of dictionary to read per day? 10 pages?' #HUGE 'it's one banana michael how much can it cost? ten dollars?' energy #lecture du dico #my posts #anyway i still need to write up my fave words etc. from letters D E F G and H but it takes me a while and i have been SO BUSY #rest assured though that there are some real doozies in there

#i just noticed that i've been suuuper inactive on this blog #for which i'm sorry #but also uni has been hell #one of my professors has decided that we should do two courses worth of reading for her seminar every week #and i've been stuck in group project planning hell for like three weeks now #i also might have put a bit too much pressure on myself when it comes to project so besides correcting the new Hot Mess chpt #i've also been working on three other projects and still need to do work for my uni classes #i really wanted to put out the new chapter this week but that has.... left the realm of possibility #i want to write so so badly but i have to finish like 30 stickers/ finish 2 other chapters/ knit 2 scarves/ hand in 3 more projects #all before christmas #i read a post yesterday that was like name one thing that you're gonna do for yourself this week #and i came up blank #eveything i'm currently doing is either for class or for other people so they're happy #don't get me wrong i enjoy writing/ drawing/ knitting but... #i don't know #Hot Mess used to be my self-indulgent project but now #the seasonal mentol illness hasn't been helping either #all my friends are miserable and all i do is either drown myself in work or be miserable too #my last short story made my bff tell me to go talk to my therapist about it #so that's how my non-fanfic efforts have been going #there's another story i need to write a date chapter for but I haven't been able to write actual romance for about a year now #idk what's wrong #maybe nothing is wrong and this is just what i'm like when i'm off my meds and i simply forgot #i've been forgetting a lot of things

#currently have: #1. erotic-murder extreme horror romance gender drama book (on indefinite hold while I work on the smaller projects) #2. haunted house horror novella(?). with themes of gender and nuclear family #new -> 3. erotic-murder sci-fi(?) short story(?). surprisingly no overt gender themes but there IS pet play and existentialism in it #I'm currently working on project 3 the most but I'm leaving 2 open for if/when 3 gets too heavy and I need a break #inversely I started project 3 in the first place cause 2 wasn't heavy ENOUGH lol. so far project 2 is shaping up to be passable as YA imo #anyway those r all my writing projects updates if u've been wondering if I'm still working on original fiction #I very much am even if I have no finished projects to show for it yet

So I recently learned about the Minecraft mod Cobblemon, and they have a full tutorial on how to add custom pokemon so now I suddenly have several fakemon ideas that will require me to design, model, and animate and also learn some Java probably

#2 days ago i almost cried bc i really wanted to make a paperdoll for my DIO zine but i hated everything i drew #i spent 3 hours almost finishing one just to realize i fucking hated it #so i decided to drop the entire thing because i physically and mentally just Couldn't Do It Anymore #i'm so exhausted at this point. this project has completely drained me. im so tired im so tired im so tired #i thought to myself like ok so the special edition zine won't have a paperdoll i still have other stuff #i thought the paperdoll was a really fun idea and i felt so fucking upsetting to let it go but y'know there's the other things #....... so today i got the prototype keychains. #which i needed to make promotional photos on monday #so that people who want to order the special edition zine would know exactly what they're buying #and of course: Vograce Printed The Keychains Wrong #the design was supposed to have some see-through layers which were even clearly included on the design proof THEY sent me #but the keychains just... don't have it. there are no see-through layers. they are just normal coloured layers. #so now i have keychain prototypes that don't look as they should and ok sure i CAN technically still do the photos with these #but the keychain won't look as it should and that bothers me #and i dont want to wait anymore bc i really want to open preorders next week #but i'll have to order prototypes AGAIN bc i still really need to see how the actual keychain would look when it's done right #i'm so tired i am so fucking tired i am so exhausted #i am just. fully expecting to see my printer on monday just to be told he hasn't even opened my email and hasn't printed anything #i was waiting all day for a guy to install better internet for me #i was told he will come today at 11:30 #at 1PM i call my internet provider to ask them where the fuck he is #they tell me. #i finished compiling the zine last night (yay) #it's technically a proof rn and we haven't sent it out to our contributors yet but!! i wanted to yell about it somewhere #i had a whole crisis exporting the pdf bc i realized the bleed border somehow didn't save into the original file #but thankfully i was able to add it in at the end and bc i had scaled the files correctly i didn't have to modify much #thanks ig i.ndesign /reluctant #was the process frustrating? yes. was it fulfilling though? absolutely. i'm so proud of everyone that participated #also i finally got the confirmation email for the conference i applied for and my supervisor emailed me her congrats w/ emojis ;u; #it's next month. terrifying. but i know at least 2 ppl speaking too so it'll be ok #i'm going first hjdfhs and then i'll show up to support them #i'm on the final part of that project and it needs to be done before i present so.. just a bit more to go #the vibes have been off lately but things are getting done over here #not saying i'm going on hiatus bc i'm still gonna be doodling to stay sane but it's a possibility in the near future #i do have ideas and things i want to post for archival purposes ofc so it will never be radio silence #oh right and i haven't done any of the new quests bc [gestures at above] #note
