Another scene from the widower!Steve verse (which I’m calling That Same Old Feeling and I’ll be tagging anything for it tsofverse if anyone is interested in seeing more scenes/snippets); this takes place during the second time Eddie and Steve meet after not seeing each other for about 20 years, c. 2012

Just under 700 words, rated T, vaguely vaguely suggestive because it leads up to their first time together again but cuts off before the action (sorry lol but it’s me! Haha)

It’s surreal, sitting here in Eddie’s apartment, not ten minutes from his own house. Feeling Eddie’s gaze on him, so familiar even after all these years. Shit. It’s been so long.

Steve turns, catches Eddie’s grin, returns it. That’s surreal, too. The last time they met, there weren’t so many smiles. Well, the last time before last night. It all feels like a dream.

Eddie’s grin turns fond, head resting in his hand, elbow resting on the back of the black leather couch. He reaches out and pokes Steve’s knee.

“What?”

“Nothing.” Eddie’s nose screws up. “But it’s… funny.”

“What is?”

“Just… It feels like a lifetime—no, a thousand lifetimes—since I saw you but…” Eddie looks to the side, back to Steve. He lifts a shoulder and adds, “Like no time has passed, as well.”

“Yeah, I know.” So much has happened to Steve since the last time he saw Eddie, and, in some ways, he feels like a completely different person. When he thought of Eddie, over the years, the distance between them felt so fucking huge. But the moment he saw Eddie, last night, it was like he’d only seen him yesterday. “I feel the way I always did with you.”

“Me too.”

Steve bites his lip against a smile and looks Eddie over—his dark hair is still long but it’s threaded with silver, there are deeper crinkles at his eyes, and his arms are totally covered with tattoos now. He still takes Steve’s breath away, still makes his heart beat. Should he feel this way again so soon? He’s not sure he cares. “And you’re still beautiful.”

Eddie lets out a nervous laugh, dipping his head in an oddly shy gesture. He tilts his head further to the side until he’s looking at Steve sideways. “And you’re still one smooth bastard, aren’t you?”

Steve winks and catches Eddie’s chin between his forefinger and thumb. Eddie dips his head, making Steve’s thumb slip up to his lips so he can kiss it. It’s such a small gesture, but it makes Steve’s heart leap and sends sparks skittering up his skin. He shifts his hand, cupping Eddie’s face, and leans in to kiss him softly.

When they part, Eddie has this look on his face that makes Steve’s chest squeeze tight and he can’t… So he kisses Eddie again and again, until all he’s thinking about is being as close to Eddie as possible.

Eddie lets Steve crowd him into the corner of the couch and they make out like a couple of kids until Steve pulls back and says, “You didn’t give me a tour of your apartment yet.”

“Mm?” Eddie blinks, then slowly grins. “No, I didn’t.”

“Maybe you could give me one now.” Steve kisses Eddie’s jaw, down to his neck. “Starting with the bedroom?”

Eddie laughs and pushes Steve away, getting up from the couch. “Right this way, sir,” he says, with a sweep of his hand.

Stumbling to his feet, Steve grabs Eddie’s wrist and tugs, saying, “You’re still a total dork,” and then, “Wait, which way?”

Eddie shakes his head and drags Steve to his bedroom. The pretense of a tour is lost the moment they make it through the door as they kiss and shed their clothes and giggle and Steve hasn’t felt like this in longer than he can remember.

When Eddie’s knees hit the back of the bed and he goes down, he pulls Steve with him; all the memories of this—Eddie under Steve, his thighs around him—flood Steve, almost overwhelming him. And now they get to make more memories.

With that thought, Steve kisses Eddie with everything he has, with a passion he sometimes worried he’d lost and, when they part, Eddie looks as dazed as Steve feels. “Damn.”

“Yeah.”

Eddie reaches up, pushing Steve’s hair out of his face, letting his hand linger along his cheek, his jaw.

“You good?”

Steve nods, nuzzles into Eddie’s palm. “Yeah.” He swallows. “You?”

“Yeah.” Eddie lets his hand drop to Steve’s neck. “Fuck, I missed you,” he says, voice tight with emotion.

“Yeah,” Steve says, “I missed you too,” and, when he kisses Eddie again, the years between them fall away.

there's probably a lot lol - rn the one that comes to mind is descriptions probably, which is why writing fanfic where we have established characters and settings is so much easier than og stuff haha

I just wanted to say that your "butterfly" anfic is simply the best fanfic on Ao3!

You manage to bring out the characters' personalities so well, even though the circumstances and the universe are totally different, they still don't lose their essence!

I wanted to highlight Naruto and Hinata here, I love how you write them in this story, even though of course I'm angry with some of Naruto's really stupid attitudes, he's still the same kind and caring person, you managed to balance his personality very well , and I say the same for Hinata, she is still our shy princess that we love and kind, even though she has all her insecurities due to, of course, everything that happened to her (I hate you hiashi!), but even so, you can see the desire her to change and try to be more confident in herself and this is of course very reminiscent of our canonical hinata!

I'm really looking forward to all of Naruhina's development in the story, I already have several headcanons of them, both from the fanfic lol

That's it, sorry for the long comment, but I just wanted to express my love for this story that really captivated me! In fact, I've been following her since last year and I swore she had been abandoned, but these new updates were a great joy, I loved them! I don't know when there will be a next chapter, but I just wanted to make all this clear <3

Omg thank you 🙈💕I'm so happy you're enjoying Butterfly so much! I'm really surprised so many people are so into it 🤭 I try to keep them canonically aligned as much as possible (because I love their canon selves) but just add a bit of a twist to make it interesting in a new setting 💕

And yeah, Butterfly was on a pretty long hiatus, but never abandoned, all my fics are like my babies 🙈I might take breaks but I plan to finish each and every one of them. “May I?” Loki was asking— and he was trailing one hand downwards, fingers teasing along the line of Mobius’s belt. 

Mobius’s breath caught in an embarrassing little whimper, but he nodded anyway, a little distracted from wondering… Should he tell Loki he didn’t have any idea what he was doing, not really? Should he keep quiet and hope maybe Loki wouldn’t notice how woefully inexperienced he was beyond his own hands? Or— 

Mobius’s nervous train of thought was interrupted by Loki’s fingers finding his stiffened cock through his suit pants with a little squeeze— 

…And then Loki stopped, pulled back, and stared at Mobius with wide eyes and a slightly shocked look. 

“Wh… what is it?” Mobius asked, face flaming, instantly certain he’d done something wrong. “I’m sorry—” 

“Sorry?” Loki breathed, and to Mobius’s tentative relief, that slightly slack-jawed expression twisted up into a grin of delight instead. “My dear Mobius, you should definitely not be sorry about this.”

Honestly I'm probably going to be retiring after Let The Dark In is completed. That's been the plan at least for the last year or so, although I've got a myriad of other wips that I'm hoping to finish and upload before arriving at that point, so consider retirement as being on the distant horizon.

I do really enjoy writing fanfic, but writing as Sen has gotten a bit weird over the last few years, and it doesn't really have the same creative freedom/recreational hobby/artistic liberty feeling that it used to as a result of my stories being treated like commercial works, and when something like Manacled gets put into that category, I get put into the author/influencer category, and then when I interact with someone/something it's treated as an endorsement as if I keep a marketing team somewhere, and that I have editors and copy-editors, and sensitivity readers on hand instead of some friends who are politely putting up with me and reminding me how to use commas, and all in all it does not really spark joy.

So, I'm not planning to up and vanish, but I'd say I'm in the early process of a gradual wind-down on fandom. But, I'm an obsessive planner, and typically do things in stages, so you're not free of me yet.

I earned to write in English after learning French though it's my native language, and I see how it still impacts me. Also, I tend to be the worst with over writing and then having to edit the hell out everything!

If it makes sense in the story. I've seen it work well in a lot of literary books I've read. And one scene in particular from UaS (if you know, you know).

19. First fandom you wrote for? Harry Potter. One and only (so far).

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Hmm I'm probably proudest of Maybe Tomorrow. It's one that feels personal in ways that are hard to explain. I also think I grew a lot as a writer while working on it.

In terms of Jily, I've really enjoyed my drabbles that aren't on archive. I do hope to expand on some of them someday.

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Horror or anything really dark and twisted. I'm not good at that. Even angst takes a lot from me emotionally and I generally like reading it and occasionally writing it.

🎃 Do you write fics for certain holidays? Which is your favorite holiday inspired fic?

I usually have good intentions of finishing something in time for a holiday but it hasn't happened yet. 🙈 Since I don't have anything of my own posted right now, I'll recommend Rumours by @siriuslyqueer which is a lovely Pronsgfoot company holiday party fic. <3

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

"I sort of let him give me a blowjob" from Practice makes perfect made me laugh as I was writing it. I was watching the latest season of Sex Education at the time and it was something I could imagine the teenagers of that show say as they experiment with different things so I was definitely channelling the same vibes into the story.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

I have so many of them! And most are almost done but I don't know how to finish them. Here's something from While You Were Sleeping AU where James and Regulus are having a conversation. (Don’t worry, it's still endgame Prongsfoot.)

"I've thought about my life. It hasn't been like I want it to be. So, I figured even if I can't remember you, there must be a reason I proposed to you."   James swallows. "O...kay."   "Once I'm recovered, we could spend some time together. Just you and me."  James's mouth opens and closes. He doesn't know what to say to that. Could he really get the man of his dreams that easily?   "I have an apartment in Nice, south of France. We could go there together."   James is taken aback by that. "Oh. Okay. Yeah, we could do that."   "My family loves you. Sirius is very taken with you. He never approves of anyone. So, you must be a good person."   That makes James feel warm.   Regulus becomes very serious. "James Fleamont Potter, will you marry me?"   There's a sudden noise as the nurse who has just walked in drops her papers on the floor.  "Oh dear," she splutters, picking up the clipboard. "I'll be back in a minute." She closes the door abnormally slowly, lingering in her place as long as possible.  James is speechless. This was the last thing he expected. But this is what he wants, right? Regulus thinks they are already engaged; this is just to seal the deal.    "Yes," he hears himself say and ignores the twinge of uncertainty inside. It will be fine.

I can't believe how many fanfics have emerged inspired by yours (I'm almost certain they were and anyone who denies it is lying). Are you seeing this? How do you feel about it?

Hi, first of all that's a great question!

I have talked about it before with some friends that pointed out something similar when some new stories mentioned me on the notes, and I guess the best way to describe how I feel is first super flattered, is lovely to know anyone would get inpired by my silly little writing, but a more accurate representation: picture me fidgeting my hands like Taylor on the band intros, I get so so so awkward 🙈.

I do love that we've gotten more Tayley fics, I've said this a million times but the main reason I started writing was because I wanted to read Tayley fics and there weren't many, so is great to be able to sit back and enjoy that again. Is also so fun anytime I read another take of a moment I did write but that someone else thought to write differently, and maybe this will not sound good but it def takes a lot of pressure off, mind you pressure I put on myself, but still.

 Yes, no one was asking me to update every week or so much and I've loved writing every chapter but, at some point I did get too fixated on it, on finishing every prompt, every song, every everything and I feel like this year with the new fics is easier for me to not feel bad taking some time off to enjoy my summer or not feel like a have to have a new chapter ready for the following week, u know? Cause yes the ideas are always fun and sound great in my mind until I actually start writing and then erase that to re write it and then have to edit, etc + you're prob a bit sick of me anyways, think is good to have space and miss each other 🥰 and then I can be back and drop a new story when you least expected.

*Ps. I did also get inspired by other people's writing myself, read the new one shot by @ourlovesdelusions and gave me an idea, so i'm writing a proper one shot, one that's not attached to the other hundred million books hehe 🤗

Do you respond to comments? I used to not - mainly because I forgot my AO3 details and I never checked it! I don't actually get emails from AO3 to let me know I've gotten comments, so by the time I'd noticed it would be months ago that someone had left it. But I'm more on top of it now, and I try to reply to everyone who comments to thank them for their time at least.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Got me out here checking my fics and trying to remember what's what - I think I tend to avoid angst because I have to fight myself on the daily to get out of that mindset, and mentally I'm not quite separated enough from it to be able to look at it objectively without it absolutely ruining my mood. Apparently my angstiest fic in AO3 in general is Accepting Defeat, and on the grand scheme of things it's actually quite mild, so there you go. There's probably some borderline depressing things on my Fanfiction.net account, given I was a teenager with no emotional regulation back then, but I ain't digging for that.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I love 'love'. I love hope. I love happy endings. Soooo this question is actually terribly difficult for me. Hang on, let me have a look at the old catalogue and see. I'll give you the gremlin is encumbered again, only because that made me laugh the most and I really liked exploring that minor camp dynamic in BG3 for the ending.

Do you get hate on fics? Thankfully, no - I usually write for smaller fandoms so normally people are just stoked to see content.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I've only recently started, so I'm still working on it. I have a few on the pipeline but my first one is my currently only contribution to the Resident Evil: Village fandom, and it's for the Heisenhoes. I like to provide.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I don't have any crossovers published anywhere but I'm sure I've written them when I was younger, in some notebook somewhere, but nothing comes to mind. It was definitely, most likely, an anime x anime crossover.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I am aware of.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Again, not that I am aware of!

Have you ever co-written a fic before? No - I have commitment issues and writing comes and goes for me as a hobby.

What's your all-time favourite ship? Oh god, this is hard. I don't know!

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I don't write multi-chapter things because I am useless, but I did have this Egoshipping fanfic I wrote that I have published in Fanfiction.net (I really ought to move it to AO3 - maybe I'll rewrite it). It's called Being Second (warning, that's a fanfiction.net link), and it was pretty angsty but the last update for it was nearly 10 years ago now.

What are your writing strengths? I'd like to think I do humour pretty well.

What are your writing weaknesses? Oh, boy, where do we start? I can't finish anything multi-chapter for the life of me because I lose interest so quick, and the weight of expectation gets to me. I can't be consistent with anything, and I've only started writing out plot instead of just pantsing it with no general idea of what I'm doing. I tend to get lost in characterisation because I'm too self-indulgent. I have a lot.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Here's the cringe bit, because I was young when I started writing - I used to type out Japanese phrases in romaji in my Detective Conan fanfics. It definitely would take me out of the experience now if I were reading it, so it might be a bit jarring if not done right.

First fandom you wrote for? I'm checking fanfiction.net for this one, because that's where your girl's roots are. Apparently, Twilight! 2009.

Favourite fic you've written? Please don't make me choose between my children. I'm proud of everything that I put out, because it is a battle to even muster up the courage to put myself out there in that way. BUT if I had to, I would pick Pecking Order, not because it's the one with the most Kudos but because I genuinely blow my own mind when I read it, thinking 'I wrote this?'

A Fanfic Update

Hey guys, I thought I should give you an update about what's going on Ongoing-WIPs-wise just in case you've had some worries.

The short of it is that the writing juices haven't flowed well for a while now and I'm trying to get them back but it is a struggle. I've worked a bit on this fic or other but haven't made significant progress in a few months. I absolutely hope that will change soon but I unfortunately can't force it. It doesn't help that I'm going through some stuff IRL right now that I have to take care of (I am unfortunately an adult who has to do adulting and pay bills and shit 🥲). I try not to be too stressed out about it, but the more time passes the more the anxiety sets in. Wish me luck. 💪🏻

Anyway, here's a fic-by-fic overview, split up by fandom.

THE UNTAMED

The Angsty SongXue Fic — I'll be honest, I've written a little bit since I last updated you guys but I still haven't finished the buffer chapter (at this point I'm thinking about posting chapter 51 even though 52 isn't done yet), so nothing really new here. I really want to get back into a writing flow but so far it hasn't really worked. I am still working on it, though, so don't worry, I'm not going to drop it.

The It Follows AU — I'm ashamed to say I didn't even realize I posted that fic almost two years ago and I still haven't written the second half. I'm so sorry it's taking so long! I definitely still want to finish it! I might rewatch the It Follows movie before I do that, though.

The Observer Series — Oh yeah, remember that smutfic series I started a few years ago of which I've only posted part 1 so far? Yeah, I still need to work on that. I did write chapter 1 of part 2 a while ago, so it's not like it's forgotten, I just need to get my ass up and write the rest of part 2 before I can post it. 🙈

The Color Rush AU — Okay, technically I haven't posted that one yet but I did share a snippet along with a gifset a few years ago, so you guys know it exists. I haven't worked on it in a long time, though, and I don't know yet when I will find the spoons to continue writing it but I'm still intrigued by the premise and want to give it a go. Thank you for your patience!

The Somewhat Sweet, Somewhat Angsty XuanXian Fic — Again, haven't posted that one yet but I've been posting about it, so you guys know it exists. Nothing new on this front. I did want to rewrite the whole thing because I wasn't really happy with the way I wrote it thus far, so I'll probably go back to it at some point and do that, I just don't know when yet.

WORD OF HONOR

The Xie'er Deserves the World Fic — Listen, guys, I love this fic so much, I just haven't worked on it in a while. I'll probably re-read what I've written so far and go on from there, I've just been struggling with the latest chapter ever since I started writing it years ago. It's not dropped, though, I will get back to it! Pinky swear!

SAILOR MOON

I've mentioned here and there that I'm working on part 1 of an epic that is based on a doujinshi I started when I was 13 or 14. Unlike my other WIPs, this one really is 100% self-indulgent to the point where I don't even care whether people will read/like it once I post it when it's completely done. I'll just put it out there to make my teenage self happy because this story has been simmering in my head for over 20 years, and so that my IRL friends can read it if they want to. So, this one will be a long way out, but it exists. I'm only really mentioning it because I've mentioned it a couple of times before and because it's the fic that's been on my mind the most lately.

STAR WARS

You didn't think I forgot about TROBS, did you????? I did work on several beginnings of a draft during NaNoWriMo last year and I'm getting more and more of a clear picture of how I want it to go. For those unfamiliar, TROBS (or The Rise of Ben Skywalker, though I already changed the name of the fic again) is my attempt at an Episode IX fix-it fic that essentially replaces TROS. This one has been simmering in my head since early 2020 and I really want to get it out of there and onto the page for catharsis. I've even held off on reading any other TROS fix-its because of it, even though I've heard there are some really amazing ones out there (and I can't wait to read them once I've gotten my own out of my damn head). I really need to finally finish that beast. Wish me luck. 🥲

UNPOSTED WIPs

I still have so many notes for other fics (mostly for The Untamed) that I want to write at some point. Will I be able to get them all on the page? I honestly don't know, but I'll see where they take.

Asking for info on all 3 Vaderdala fics for WIP ask game please ☺️☺️☺️

Well, they’re all Sith Raised!Anakin fics bc I’m a slut for that trope hehehe 🤭

The concept of the first one is them getting to know each other at political parties thrown by the chancellor, and eventually Anakin asking Padme to marry him bc he needs a wife for political reasons 🙈

The second one is actually derived from the first, bc there are some elements I had to scrap as I developed the story more but there are some scenes I really didn’t want to throw away so I ended up coming up with a new story just so I could still use them LOL - so basically this one is with a bodyguard situation where the story kind of parallels aotc haha

The third one is ennemies with benefits because it’s one of my favourite tropes of all time and what is writing fanfic for if not to be extremely self indulgent 😌😌

Though all of these were just me being brain rotted enough that I needed to put the ideas down, I don’t know if I’ll ever actually finish writing them and post them (one can hope 😅)

I was rewatching old f1 races and the one I just finished watching was Brazil 2016 and spotted young Charles leclerc during the second red flag (I think it was the second one ). It was the part where Lewis was standing by the Haas garage( again I think it was the haas garage) and Charles was looking at him 🥹 and I couldn’t help but wonder if you could perhaps write a one shot of Charles telling Lewis that this was the moment that he knew he had a crush on Lewis or something of that sorts🙈

So, here we gooooo!

Charles loved quiet evenings with Lewis. Sure, fancy dates were wonderful, but nothing beat a homemade meal and a few glasses of wine shared afterwardon the couch, or in front of the fire. The weather had gone cold again, which gave them the excuse to light up the chimney.

He loved those evenings because it was only the two of them, and they didn't owe anyone anything. Plus, their wine discussions were always fun, and most of the time, they ended up in sweet heart-to-hearts. And more often than not, even swetest love making, after.

They only had a few days to themselves after Jeddah, and they wanted to make the most of it.

So, it was an evening like any other - the two of them sharing a bottle of wine in the living room - and that made it special. They had been quiet for a little while when Charles, after serving himself a second glass, broke the silence.

"Brazil 2016," he said slowly, reminiscing.

"What about it?" Lewis cocked his head, playing with his own glass still half-full.

"That's when I realised I had a crush on you. I remember looking at you during a red flag. You came out of the car, you passed right in front of me, and the next to me. I tried my hardest to pretend I wasn't looking at you, but man. You had a white suit back then, completely damp. What a view... I was dying to talk to you but I didn't want to bother you, so I didn't. Pretty sure there were cameras on us, too. You won, after, and I couldn't tear my eyes off the podium. I was still in GP3, back then."

"Yeah, I know," he said, a nostalgic smile on his lips.

"What do you mean, you know?" Charles snorted. "Aren't you supposed to have a terrible memory? How do you know what I was doing before F1?"

Lewis ducked his head, suddenly very interested in his glass. "I used to watch your races," he admitted, something shy and insecure in his voice.

"What?"

"You heard me, don't make me say it again," he pouted. "I was just- I don't know, it was a good distraction. 2016 was hell, and seeing younger drivers race and have the time of their life... It was nice. Watching you race, too."

"You were watching me race?" he parroted, baffled. He gulped down the rest of his wine just to digest the information and put his glass away. It was a pretty glass, it would be a shame if he dropped it.

"Yeah, I mean... Jules mentioned you, once," Lewis said softly. "He was talking about you with so much enthusiasm. And then, well. I saw you at the funeral for the first time, I think? And later, I checked your name on the internet and learnt you were racing in GP3. So I got curious."

Charles forgot to breathe for a second, at the mention of Jules. He didn't think his godfather had talked about him to anyone, especially not to Lewis fucking Hamilton.

"You were amazing," Lewis continued. "It was incredible to watch you race. I could tell you would join F1 sooner rather than later. So I kept watching. I don't know, to keep tabs on my future opponent?"

"Did you have a crush on me?" Charles gasped, hopeful.

"No," Lewis said a bit too quickly. "I mean, you were beautiful, but you were also over ten years younger than me and you looked pretty much unattainable. So, you know, there was no point. Didn't think you'd be interested in an old man like me."

"Not old," Charles rolled his eyes.

"But anyway. Yes, I remember Brazil 2016. I knew who you were, I saw you. What were you doing there anyway? There were no GP3 races in Brazil that year."

"And you're saying you have a terrible memory?" he laughed. "I'm not sure, I think I just wanted to watch the race. I like Brazil."

"I was happy when you won the championship. It didn't make it any better for me, with everything that happened, but... I don't know. I was a little happy."

"Did you keep on watching, after?" Charles asked after a second.

"Ah, no," Lewis shook his head. "I was just so focused on myself, and winning, after that... Not the healthiest, I have to admit. But then, you arrived in F1 in 2018. I remembered you, I couldn't help but notice you and I could tell you were looking at me."

"Oh, god, even back then?" Charles blushed, mortified.

"Hey, that's not something bad," Lewis chuckled. "I liked it, that you were watching me. I wouldn't have approached you the first time, otherwise. And after that, well, the rest is history."

"Good history," he nodded and cupped Lewis' cheek to kiss him.

"Very good," Lewis hummed against his lips, putting down his glass of wine to cradle Charles' waist. "Very, very good."

Charles laughed into the kiss.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Literally anything I see or read that happens to hit squirrel-brain in the right spot: Stargate, Star Wars, Cosmere / Stormlight Archive / Sanderson's books generally, Loki series & other MCU media, OFMD, Good Omens, Dresden Files, Star Trek (and one-offs for random-ass shows like the Mentalist, 1899, tLoVM, Echoes, etc). Honorable mentions to past beloved fandoms that I'm not super likely to really get back to again include Midsomer Murders, the Witcher, Assassin's Creed, and the Expanse 💕

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Top spot is A wonderful thing (OFMD); the next four in order are all Witcher - A Tight Fit, Stolen Moments, Keep it up, and Undignified.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I love seeing people's reactions, and letting them know how much I appreciate that they took the time and energy to comment (because fuck knows, I don't always have the spoons to comment on stuff myself). And it's so nice to get that connection with people and get excited about stuff together!

(I have missed some replies here and there just because of over-stressing about what to respond, and subsequently feeling guilty that I left them unanswered so long 🙈 ahh, anxiety-brain, you sure are special)

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This is one is easy, it's definitely Zombie / what's in your head. One of only two times I've written Major Character Death, and the only time I've used the Angst and Tragedy tag.

It's fucking brutal, honestly. Damn good, but ouch. Dark. Sometimes I reread it when I just want to cry hopelessly for awhile. It's like an... emotional reset or something.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics have happy endings in the happy-sexy-sated vein, but most of my fics are also happy-sexy-oneshots so there isn't any real conflict or worry to come back from that makes the happy ending something that wasn't a given, if that makes sense. My first thought for something more involved was Inflection Point, but it's not exactly a happy ending for everyone. So I think I'll go with Curious Creatures, because even though I know how it ends and I wrote the damn thing, I still somehow get worried it will have a sad ending every time I go back and reread it, and then I'm relieved all over again at the end.

(Honorable mention to the Adventures of Admiral Prawn and Yee-Claw, because how can we not be happy that he found his lost hat with the help of a new friend 😂)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Honestly nowhere near as much as I'd kind of expect to? 😆

I had some rando dickhead giving me grief in comments on a couple Assassin's Creed fics, and I've seen people griping in fandom social media spaces about a couple of my works and the fact they (gasp) existed in the tags at all, but mostly people have been decent and kept it to themselves when they don't like me or my writing 💖

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Yes. All of it. All the smut.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Not really! Never published one to AO3. Closest I've got is that Witcher-Assassins Creed WIP languishing in my google docs, and a silly fun little SGA-Original SW thing on tumblr from probably a couple years ago now.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Pretty sure, yeah. Not to the point of really being able to do anything about it but it kinda sucked. Shit happens.

Cock/Hole.

Mmm I have two published WIPs that fall into that category exactly, Ill-advised encounters and The skills of Assassins. They were really fun, I'd have really liked to finish them, annnd I probably never will 😅

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm pretty damn good at pacing a story, whether it's a oneshot or a longer fic, and at getting ~feelings~ across (whether it's horny feelings, smushy soft feelings, angsty feelings, whatever). And I've been told that I'm good at like... developing a setting and characters in a way that flows or unfolds naturally with the story while you read? Or something like that? (they said it better and it made me very happy)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

That would be not getting things actually started and just keeping the ideas in my head because What If this time I can't make the words do the thing good enough. Especially whenever I have ideas for something potentially longer or more involved, I do tend to kinda shoot myself in the foot by going "eehhhhh that would be a LOT of work though.... I don't want that kind of commitment....... Maybe I'll write down the idea later............"

Also being constantly distracted by shiny new things. But that part's fun 😆

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I use italics, try to limit it to single words or short phrases, and where possible I make the meaning clear or translated somehow within the fic itself. Last resort, I'll add a little glossary to the start or end notes if it's important to the story.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

I genuinely don't have a favourite! There's a few I'm extra proud of myself for accomplishing, but I really like most of what I've ever written for one reason or another.

Or another answer would be, my current favourite changes like every week and is usually one of my recent fics 😂 Right now it's probably The Taste of My Blade; it'll be something else in a month.
