Oooooh my most beloved fic that is giving me such trouble. Buck, Eddie, Natalia, and Marisol rent a cabin for a long weekend vacation. Problem is, Eddie’s in love with Buck, and trying very badly to get over him. Chaos ensues!

“Actually I think I’ll sit this one out,” Natalia says. “Me and Eddie haven’t had a chance to hang out yet.”

Eddie’s very proud of himself for keeping the placid smile on his face. He reminds himself for the millionth time that Natalia is perfectly nice, she makes Buck happy, and all his hang-ups are just that—his.

He even keeps the smile when Buck grins and leans in for a quick kiss like separating just for Buck to go splash around in the lake with Marisol is a painful parting.

Buck leaves, and he and Natalia sit in silence until Buck’s footsteps fade out and they hear the splash of his body in the lake.

And then she turns to him, scrutinizing. “So. What is it about me that you dislike so much?”

The smile finally falls off his face.

your wish is my demand and i will provide. so, context. i adopted two cats like, basically over the weekend, and brought them home today and they are so fucking darling and i love them. These are them:

The tortie is Xena, she's a year and a few days old and she's so social and sweet. She was in my lap and purring within like 15 minutes of us coming home, and she's spent most of the rest of the day hanging out near me and wanting attention (when not playing with her sister)

The stripey baby is Nala, she's about half a year old. She's a lil shyer, she spent the first while after coming home hiding under the dresser and giving me suspicious eyes, but she's quickly warming up and just now she even dared to take a treat from my hand! I'm not allowed to pet her yet, and if i get up it's still intimidating, but she's being so brave and i'm so proud of her

according to past research (that we did in 2018) here are the numbers for how many reports it takes and how likely it is for a bot to be taken down

1 report - 7 %

3-4 reports - 7%

6-7 reports - 80%

20+ reports - 100%

it takes quite a few people reporting the same bot as spam for it to eventually be taken down.

i used to run a server with a handful of other people that was for group mass-reporting bots such that we would get them removed from the site within a few days. i have the discord link here https://discord.gg/H7FgdApp (set to expire in a week). it’s very inactive, until there’s another surge of bot users like this one

This probably qualifies as oversharing but idk previous post's got me thinking

I really didn't do much growing up, camping maybe. We've got a cabin in the forest. My parents always prioritized 'vacations' that had as little human contact as possible and I guess that's fine but it just... Left me with such a horrible sense of loneliness and wanderlust that I still can't get over?

Like I'll be at work and people will just start casually talking about their trips to the zoo, the aquarium, other states, museums... And I can't be a part of the conversation because I have none of that experience. I just sit there quietly and space out a little and hope no one notices.

Also my tags weren't entirely true because if we want to get technical I actually basically work at a museum. One I applied to work at because I'd never been allowed to go there and I wanted to see what it was like because it was practically just down the road and why hadn't we ever gone??

Money. The answer was always money.

And like, at the very least I can end this with some shred of positivity?

My coworkers are very nice. They realize I have a serious lack of life experience and invite me places. Restaurants mostly, but it was with some of them that I've done things for the first time.

It was nice to go to the bar, I never drank anything but the food was good and watching the train go by with the conductors was a lot of fun. (My mom was vehemently against me going, despite the fact I am well over 21, so another coworker said 'screw that' and took me anyway. My mom was much more accepting of any event after that)

The county fair was so much fun too. I'm really happy to be invited again this year!

Also it's just... Nice. To go to a restaurant with someone other than my dad. I mean, I love him, but it's just so different with friends.

Just 3 months until I'm back to work...

i have had many different phases of favourite types of feline but it either has to be sabertoothed cats. if you are looking for a species that hasn't entirely died out then it'd have to be pallas cats right now.

sabertoothed cats because they're so fun to study. i love their anatomy. theyre so CUTE. i just love forgotten felines. secret thing about me that my husband might not even know probably but i used to be obsessed with extinct ancient animals for a period of being a kid !!!

but obviously pallas cats. they're so EXPRESSIVE? they look like they're in a constant state of anger? they frighten me to my core/aff. i lvoe them. have you ever looked at them? they look like a snow leopards lil sister.

look at this one. look how teeny. they're so worried. not a thought but fear behind those eyes. they don't know where they are.

this fucker looks like you just gave them the most unimaginable read ever . i've never seen a cat JAWDROPPED. it's fucking amazing. these cats are a blessing .
