fyi how long it takes me to post a m*a*s*h update makes it SEEM like i have a lot of self-control and am only watching one episode a day but that is incorrect. i'm watching everything like three times and rolling around in the details like a ferret let loose in the snow. i grew up in the vhs-recording 90s where you'd get two star treks and an x-file every week, and i'd get up at five in the morning to rewatch one of them before school every day AND tune in for every rerun and that has not changed. sometimes i get comments on fic like "wow your dialogue sounds just like them" YEAH it fuckin SHOULD some weeks i hear these people talk more than my own family. this is completely normal and healthy by the way

#not even touching on the fact that my sister and i would have star trek marathons like we were training for the olympics #on weekends she was over here we'd fuckin PLAN we would rest up all week so we could STAY UP and try to beat the record #my dad would come downstairs and make us run around outside in the snow between episodes #and we'd do it in BARE FEET to hype us up and keep us awake for the duration #also normal behavior #i remember being entire adults and going on a double date with some new dudes and both of us being like #:) we watched 30 hours of star trek in a row once :) #that's the most impressive thing you should know about us

ok this is harmless i guess but i keep getting recommended the hbomberguy subreddit and its full of ppl trying to Reddit Mode random youtubers. honestly most youtubers are probably plagiarizing something or other, so whatever, but the nancy drew shit really pisses me off.

i obviously dont think its good to plagiarize, you shouldnt, and hell i even work in publishing so it would be pretty stupid if i was just "hello based department????" abt stealing shit. i get why that bothers ppl. but james somerton did a bunch of other worse shit and thats why hes the big case study....... focusing on obsessively tracking the posts and behavior of online content creators? idk. dont love it

Broke a personal record this weekend and ran my longest run ever- 10 whole miles!! Just under a month to go until my half marathon and feeling pretty positive about it 🥰 Helped that I had the loveliest route planned out (over the suspension bridge and around Leigh woods!) and got up at 4am again so I could run while it was still cool and quiet.

Yes, we are definitely willing to include it! It's harder to promote on Tumblr, since I don't often have time to make brand new posts for events that aren't on tumblr but we can definitely add to the spreadsheet.

IWRY Marathon

For those of you who are wondering (and thank you for the questions) IWRY Marathon was originally created by leni_ba on her livejournal in 2004.

In 2006 the livejournal community iwry_marathon was created. It was run by Chris and then DS. The sign ups have always been on livejournal with authors sending in their fics to be hosted on a separate site.

In 2014, I stepped in to run the iwry_marathon. Sign ups for the original I Will Remember You Fic Marathon are still on the iwry_marathon community on lj.

The fics have been hosted on AO3 since 2014. After talking to several authors they all wished to control their own fics and how they were posted and felt AO3 was the best option.

honestly the cruelest thing abt the newest doctor who episode is that they’re saying it’ll take a whole year for the next episode 💔

#for context: we started talkinf about lotr #and i said that ive only seen it in bits and pieces #my grandparents had a tv in almost every room and they would leave them all on at the same time #and when tv would run an lotr marathon of course they were on #but i didnt want to sit and watch things. i would just wander theough the house doing things #and so i picked up some pieces and they were very out of order. because this marathon happened frequently #or frequently as i remember. so i gained bits and pieces and i truly dont know how much pyf those movies ive seen #so she decided to test my knowledge #and legitimately all i know of lotr is those bits and also i guess i know a bit about sam and frodo #she said that last line affectionately btw. she wasnt trying to call me out or anything #today was a great day with her... #im exhausted. i stayed up until 3am baking her bread and woke up at 7am to go hang out with her #it was worth it though when i handed her the bread. she was so excited #she said 'i think i have to marry you now!' when she uncovered it #the less than four hours of sleep was one hundred percent worth it for her absolute delight at receiving homemade bread #i remember one time she had said that if anyone baked her bread she would love them forever. so i baked her bread #and i legitimately think i have her love forever now #she is such a good friend and im very happy to have her in my life. seriously i wouldnt stay up until 3am baking bread for just anybody #i learned to bake bread for her #oh shit i think thats love #gotta write a better poem with those two lines wait. wait that was cute #i learned to bake bread for her...
