prairie song is always a banger but the most recent chapter and the most recent updates have truly been churning horse emotions within me

do you like post-post-apocalypse media? do you like gay people? do you like exploring what we mean to each other and how that knowledge (or what we think that knowledge is) affect those around us? do you like watching a group of people band together for survival and clash about a million different little (and sometimes BIG) ways along the way? do you like divorce?

prairie song is webserial about a group of four strangers on the run from various gangs that have taken control of a post-post apocalyptic america and the wacky (and sometimes horrifying) adventures they get up to along the way. they run gambling scams, they join the circus, they encounter superheroes where new york city used to be. it’s a whole thing!

it’s on book 3 out of 4 currently so it’s pretty long BUT if you wanna jump right in to chapter 20 (the first chapter of book 3 and a thrilling boat murder mystery), then you can read the book one outline and then hop over to the book two outline and then start book three right here

i’ve been reading prairie song since it’s very first chapter and it’s quickly become one of my favorite things i’ve ever experienced. every chapter feels so distinct in setting and plot but there’s a tone that stays true thoughout it and no events feel out of place or jarring, no matter how strange the premise. the way the characters relationships build and grow (and sometimes crumble) is written so well and every interaction feels earned and important, no matter how small

Brother had a wedding last week, and I was rushing to get a painting done for him and his wife.

And we have a lot of shit happening with this store now, including low employment sobbinggg. I’ll be working seven days straight starting tomorrow _(」∠ ､ﾝ､)_ but after that I should go back to my normal schedule.

I will be bringing my tablet with me though! My plan is to mainly work on Error’s dragon reference this week, and maybe a few little sketches here and there to keep my interest and motivation. But we’ll see how it goes and what I can get done today.
