thinking abt mm casey jones and how he's already in the high school when the movie happens, he and april know each other in passing. they're both the outcast/keep to themselves type, and have this unspoken sort of "i don't feel comfortable around people but you can sit with me" bond. maybe casey's the same age as the turtles, so it's his freshman year while april's a sophmore, so april's sort of taken on the big sister role because she understands how it feels to be on the outside.

and when the turtles come to the school casey's just sort of... interested in them? because idk i'm thinking about a casey who maybe had to move a few years prior, and he's still a little awkward and trying to find his own footing near the end of his first year in high school. and maybe he's a little worried that his only friend is suddenly going to disappear and only hang out with the really cool turtles, but the first thing april does when the turtles get to school is drag them over to casey's locker and introduce them to him, all excited that her friends are going to be able to actually hang out with each other!

and casey gets roped into all their shenanigans, and he's introduced to the other mutants, and it's obvious to everyone at the school that casey is part of the turtles' group, so no one even tries to cause trouble with him, and the one and only time someone does he's surrounded by the boys, but it's really april that they have to be terrified of.

nope. I am at the whims of my inspiration and energy levels.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

in ROTTMNT I would probably say Mikey. I think it's a little easy to lean too hard into the sort of "sweet little brother" thing that a lot of fandom likes (this isn't meant as a callout, lol, I like it too) and forget that he is canonically a little gremlin who is very silly and sometimes pretty gross (I mean he's a 13 to 15-year-old boy so it tracks).

Also he probably has the least defined character arc of literally every main character in the series (including the supporting cast like April, Splinter, Draxum, and both Caseys). Leo has his struggles with his place and identity within the team as well as his growth as a leader, Donnie has his issues with feeling replaced and directly linking his family "needing" him to his family loving him, Raph is struggling to live up to the expectations of the clan and his role as a big brother, April deals with her struggles connecting with her own peers and her fear that she doesn't count as part of the fam, Splinter has a billion things going on, Draxum has a whole redemption arc (truncated as it was) and Casey Sr effectively does too, and Casey Jr. has grief and trauma. And Mikey... would probably have had a really good character arc if we'd gotten the rest of season 2 and season 3!

A lot of Mikey's episodes where he gets to really get feelsy and show his emotions are directly tied to other people's character development, especially Donnie's and Draxum's, so we don't get as much of what his deal is. The only really solid Mikey centric episode is Hot Soup The Game, which definitely brings up Mikey's frustrations with being the youngest and thus babied as a result, so that's something you can draw on for his character, but even that's more tied directly into what he wants from interactions with other people and less about what he wants for himself.

(the truffle episode is super weird... like Mikey learns not to take his friends for granted? I guess?? I wouldn't have expected him to in the first place but yeah I guess that's some character development lol)

(actually as a total side note, it does annoy me a little that when Todd is first introduced as a character in Season 1, the whole point of his superpower being niceness was that he was so nice you'd do anything for him, and even villains were unable to turn him down, which was a really good gag and made him an interesting character. Then at some point it became that Todd's niceness meant he couldn't turn anyone down and suddenly he was just kind of a doormat, to Mikey first in the truffle episode and then all of them later in Todd Scouts. I actually like the Todd Scouts episode but also you didn't have to do that to him lmao)

(actually actually even though I like Todd Scouts I would have loved a version of that episode where Splinter stayed with them in the woods and then we dealt with how his feelings were hurt by the kids being more interested in their phones than his teaching and they could have pointed out that their dad kind of waited until late in life to start teaching them life skills and IDK WE DIDN'T GET THE FAMILY BONDING CAMPING TRIP WHEN THEY GOT CAUGHT IN THE TURTLE TANK IN SEASON 1, WHY DIDN'T WE GET IT IN SEASON 2??)

indeed!! :D to give a basic summary of things I have so far:

this au is more based on 2012 than rise theyre all 15 or so they were intentionally mutated by the kraang ^ same with splinter but at a different location bc Casey's dad actually works for the kraang and mutated him, this is why Casey grows to hate/fear rats, because of his fathers' really fucked up experimentation splinter eventually is taken to an actual kraang base for further experimentation which is where he escapes and grabs the turtles Leo and Mikey are co-leaders raph and Mikey call eachother twins and are the same species of turtle (bog turtles I think is what I'll go with) Leo is some type of turtle with yellow on it but im still deciding which donnie im thinking either a musk turtle, black knobbed map turtle, or spotted turtle Mikey and Leo have pet shrimp and fish, one of the red shrimp is named after raph as a joke but raph actually gets very attached to it, another is named piebald as a rise reference their splinter is still alive but started out as a normal rat and later gets de-mutated back into being a normal rat and becomes Leos pet, theres a lot of angst about it ^ this causes issues with the siblings because donnie wants to try to experiment on splinter to try to get him back, but Leo won't let him, this becomes more and more of an issue because of rats' short lifespans because of their father being rat'd they need to find a new teacher and end up finding the shredder and training under him for a while before they realize he's evil, this leads to them becoming a lot more cruel before they realize how bad it's getting through this they meet karai who becomes an older sister figure to them and is actually shredders bio kid in this au, she's a few years older than them and pretty much ends up watching over them when they run away from the shredder, hes the main antagonist for a while trying to track them down potential plot points (still TBD): ^ this leads to something similar to the farmhouse arc, where they might meet April? or they might have already known her, still trying to decide, I'd like for them to still know her but I'm not certain how, maybe her parents were old friends of splinter or something but idk if I like that donnie secretly experimented on splinter which leads to something with the rat king? splinter might become the rat king? unsure I'd like to figure out something with the triceratons and maybe shredder getting mutated into a fucked up triceraton or something idk one of the shrimp, prob the raph one, or multiple, getting mutated? either into enemies or into pets something similar to the parasitica episode bc I like that episode and I like the idea of someone getting a pet giant bee wasp thing, was leaning Leo but maybe donnie bc he doesnt have a pet yet (apologies for the tag but @idiot-mushroom I thought you might like to hear it, sorry if not !!)

Working on the next chapter of Behind the Hockey Mask.

And, I just can't get over how not only do Donnie and Casey have a different dynamic in this chapter.

But it's actually the exact opposite than it is in the show.

If you take away the April romance because that's not in this at all.

You would expect, having left them together to go investigate where April started acting werid.

While Leo, Raph and Mikey go look for April.

You'd expect Casey to be asking questions, being distracting and Donnie trying to quietly look for clues.

Being very concerned for April and end up lashing out at Casey for getting her lost in the first place and an argument to start between them.

Something along those lines.

But that doesn't happen here.

Casey's the quiet one, he's still a loud and very extroverted person by nature.

But he blames himself for what's going on.

And the bit of fear toxin/spores from the Fungus Humongous that he got on him, is enhancing that.

Linking what happened to April, him not being their in time to another incident.

Casey has also worked as a solo vigilante, he's never been apart of a team cept for hockey.

Nor does he have any other friends besides April and his little sister.

He's not used to banter or filling in silences and small talk.

This is also the first time Casey has ever interacted with Donnie, and frankly he doesn't really care for the guy.

Or any of the turtles honestly.

Cept maybe a sort of respect for Raph for having his back in a fight.

But that's as far as it goes.

He's guarded, he's abrasive and he doesn't intend on becoming close to the turtles at all.

All of what he's doing is for April.

Shoving his pride down to ask them for help because he knows he's not enough to help her.

And letting Leo order him around even though he doesn't like it one bit.

But he understands this is necessary, he's completely out of his league nor does he know the sewers like they do.

And these are also April's friends.

While Donnie, despite how much he likes the quiet and staying in his lab, is not used to this kind of quiet.

He's lived with 3 brothers his whole life, he's not used to careful methodical investigation without a pun or a "are we done yet."

Frankly it's werid.

And Donnie's a curious person.

He's heard of Casey from April and knows he helped fight to protect their home.

So he's a good person.

But he doesn't know him know him.

Casey Jones is a puzzle that he wants to figure out.

Of course he's worried sick over April and yes he did yell at Casey for leaving her out their.

But the rational part of him knows Casey did the right thing.

And Donnie knows April wouldn't them at odds with each other.

Donnie also unfortunately has the social skills of someone who's been raised in a sewer for 16 years.

And Casey has a short temper to rival Raph himself.

But even so they find common ground and slowly but surely a friendship will be made.

And idk I just think it's cool to see them both interact that contradicts canon but is also fitting to their characters.

I just think it's neat 😅.

Also Casey continously helping the turtles while swearing he doesn't care for them is just a big ol uh huh suuuure you don't.

He's a softy deep down.

I have officially made an AU!! It's called monster leo AU and I had a friend make him! Also here is in information for Monster leo AU

Ages

Donnie / leo: 12-17 (until krang then leo is 4 years older so donnie 17, leo 21)

Mikey: 13-18

Raph: 14-19

This entire AU in the span of 5 years

Backstory and information

So this leo, before the krang the turtles lost Splinter and they all went their separate ways, leo left on his own and raph mikey and donnie stayed together, leo later got injured by a mutant or yokai or something and nearly died.He was founded by some people who thought he was some kind of lizard man or freak and sold him off to the highest bidder so that was fun! He ended up in some kind of freak show thing idk what to call it.

He slowly lost all humanity in himself after realizing he really was gonna get out of this, the people didn't listen to his pleads for help. A few years pass and when someone forgot to lock his cahe he got out and killed everyone in that horrid place, he was gone, Leonardo was dead. He stayed in hiding only for the rumors of a monster in the sewers to form around and april told the others. Raph later found leo while looking for the monster (leo) and took him home. Raph mikey and donnie were over joyed to find leo (donnie especially even tho he tried to hide it) but it was not long before they realized that this was not Leonardo anymore. Leo was a monster now. They all wanted to help leo and tried everything. It took effort but leo finally started to regain some memory and form for the first time the mad dogs.

Leo was grabbed by the krang instead of sacrificing himself just before the portal closed. So leo didn't sacrifice himself, and leo spent 4 years (an extra year) in the prison dimension.

Extra: Splinter died to the shredder, and Carol takes care of the turtles, so the turtles are officially O'Neils. The shredder was defeated from Splinter sacrificing himself.

My reasonings on why for each are below the cut :):

Leo:

Torterr:- big and strong but so cute and full of love and life. He kinda just. Holds the fam together. his first pokemon (all the turtle pokemon are the brothers starters)

Riolu: Blue pokemon and physical fighting with some Magic, and i just love riolu and i feel like it compliments Leader Leo very well (he evolved when leo steps up and accepts his role as leader. leader of what? idk i havent thought that far into this au)

Ninjask: greatest ninja ever needs a ninja pokemon :)

Zangoose: his eye. His eye marking. Is like leo’s. Im a simple man i see red eye mark i go ‘oh thats leo’ 

Gible: blue and chompy. I like the idea of leo being Tormented by this lil chompy guy and then he evolves into this real powerful pokemon. And then he still torments him for him

Kedabra: teleports. leo teleports.

Donnie:

Blasoise: gun turtle. Idk what else to say (i was gonna give him torterra bc ‘but my real passion is biology’ but. Gun turtle.) I think he helps leo take care of his torterra tho

Rotom: this feels a lil self-explanatory lol. but with his rotom, he builds more than the “standard’ rotom body options for him, including one of those toy punching robots (fighting), a jetpack form (flying, but cooler than the fan form), a robot dragon (dragon), a fertilizer spreader thing (poison), and of course his favorite: Gun (steel)

Porygon: again, self explanatory i think. It evolves in a really Climatic Moment too and like Saves The Day (but more of a one-off episode Climatic Moment)

Beldum: another lil robot guy. donnie thought it was cool, and then he learned its evolution is super strong and went “heh knew it all along” but he is clearly lying to look cool

Golek: a lil robot (kinda) guy

Cacturne: he likes botany. And also hes smart enough to kno he needs some type differences in his team (the cacturne was a gift from his bros when they saw how much he liked their grass types)

Raph:

Drednaw: i mean LOOK at that guy. He’d have a shiny version bc the shiny version is a greener shade AND has red on it. Big spiky. 

Clefairy: cuddly boy for a cuddly boy

Machoke: he saw one pokemon fight as a kid and fell in love. And then he saw the contests and started entering those, and people think he aims for the “cool” ones but he keeps winning the “cute” ones with his machoke

Snorlax: raph uses him all the time to make his brothers (mostly donnie and leo) sleep, bc he has snorlax (SAFELY) lay on them and fall asleep

Makuhita: cute lil punchy boy :) also reminds me of the paper friend

Ludicolo: i mean come on look at the lil guy of course hes raphs pokemon

Mikey:

Torkoal: fiery turtle. Hot and fun. I think he likes to leap into the air using his back steam (i imagine him yelling “FULL STEAM AHEAD” and then torkoal moves so slow)

Smeargle: self explanatory. Little bouncy art guy. this is his main pokemon, always hanging around him outside the pokeball.

Bellossom: this one just looks like mikey to me. i think him getting it was like a “he saw it abandoned and wanted to return it to its trainer, but it lost a contest so the trainer abandoned it. it now doesnt wanna do contests, but wants BLOOD” type thing. (ok it doesnt want blood but it likes fighting more)

Baltoy: mikey saw this lil clay guy and they bonded immediately. Also some psychic bc mystic magic feels psychic to me. his smeargly likes to paint on it like ceramics

Cranidos: looks like the robot dino from the cut episode, so of course i picked it

Chingling: im not 100% sold on this as one of his pokemon, but its bright and cute and psychic, so i picked it. im open to other ideas tho

April:

Crustle: when they were little and first met april, they wanted her to be apart of their Turtle Squad, so donnie played distraction while they went to catch her one. They saw crustle and went “legs and shell? Fuck yeah turtle pokemon.” when they brought it donnie immediately was like “thats a crab.” but april was so touched she refused to let them try again and she cherishes it so much

Zoura: its mayhem. little chaos fox/animal. always on her shoulders/in her arms/pranking the bros

Solosis: she thinks its cute (raph agrees) but she has to keep it in its ball when shes around donnie bc the texture makes him very upset

Fletchinder: she gives me bird vibes idk and shes passionate (firey). 

Skitty: april deserves a cute lil kitty i think. it pretends to be nice but is also means to the boys behind aprils back (aprils pretends not to notice and plays innoncent when the bros confront her but when they leave she gives the skitty a poffin)

Noivern: one donnie actually caught for her (as a noibat) bc it was purple (and he obvs likes purple) and it flies so she could travel far easily and safely. april and donnie are besties and they are the only two the noivern let ride on its back, everyone else it will only carry them in its claws

Casey:

Tirtouga: future donnie made/revived him, and gave him to casey. Casey is a Part of their Turtle Family. Also hes from 100 million years ago, casey is from future. Theyre both lost in time. Idk its cute

Mimiku: it gives me future vibes. It now uses the pikachu disguise to be more intimidating than its form beneath the disguise (due to the electricity). I think also the future has a poison variation that makes it dangerous to touch if it doesnt trust you

Porygon-Z: i really dont wanna say why he has the evolved form of donnies pokemon. But i think yall kno. yes its sad. and yes its weird when they go back in time and see each other. but i think the circumstances that made it evolve to porygon-z are Apocolypse-Only so donnies wont go past porygon2 and make it Extra Weird

Trubbish: a trash pokemon from his apocalyptic future. theyre everywhere. casey loves him and is very defensive of him when he first gets to the past/present, bc new york looks so clean in comparison to the future (when he finally sees all the trubbish there bc its a city hes happy bc his trubbish isnt an outlier)

Amaura: future leo gave him the egg, and he was carrying it around for a while. It only hatched in the past (bc it felt safe enough to do it). yes casey cried. yes he named it after leo (subtly) (it isnt that subtle. probably nicknamed it like Ardo or something).

Applin: the first pokemon he caught in the past/present. He was so surprised to see such a vibrant grass type and he got so excited (grass type are very very rare in the future)

Mikey did the classic Pokemon Magic (thats esp common in the movies) and summoned dialga to send casey back in time. Leo helped by summoning palkia to send him to the right Space. Giratina is there for idk the kraang prison dimension. I havent formulated a lot of it this is just for funsies.

TMNT 2012 OC IDEAS

hakdvdskhsn, it's 2 am I have to clear my floors Cuz I guy is coming over to power clean all my carpets and I start work at 12, HOWEVER I HAD A TOILET THOUGHT. OKSY SO 3 2012 TMNT OCS, main one is a 17 year old half Japanese half Columbian boy. Stay with me here. HIS LITTLE SISTER, okay? SHE AND A STRAY CAT SHE FOUND ON THE WAY HOME FROM SCHOOL, GET INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH SUM MUTAGEN AND BOOM! TWO YOUNG CAT MUTANTS. the sister is 8 and the Stray cat is about 4. They both come home to the grandparent and the older brother. Lots of panic, obviously. The next day big bro is round the back of the school om the phone talking to his alma about how to take care of them, CASEY JONES over hears, offers to help, bro doesn't trust at all and leaves. Casey goes to tell the turtles, Splinter and April back at the house and April offers to help Casey get rhem to help. Splinter tell them to get the girls to the house.

NEXT DAY Casey comes back to help him and April is with him. Bro accepts it reluctantly because although Casey seems cool, April passes him off. Casey and April take the car to the house, then drive the three siblings to the house, bro is being very protective and hold the girls close the entire car ride and even after they arrive. The three meet the turtles and Splinter. Immediately bonds with mikey and respects Leo and Splinter, doesn't trust Donnie one bit after seeing hiw he acts with april and refuses to speak to either April or donniw the whole time. Constantly keeping his guard up around raph and hold the girls close but is more relaxed around mikey and Splinter. He talks to Splinter, Leo and raph while mikey and Casey show the girls around and entertain them. Accepts splinters offer to leave the girls with them and visit on weekends, and the grandparents will know about their safety but skip out on their new carers being mutants too to keep everyone safe. Raph, and april are forced to promise to not speak to or teach the girls anything and donnie is only allowed to talk to them when teaching them all due to the brothers first impressions of them. And they are not to be taught combat only self defense. Those were the conditions the brother insisted on until he further interacted with them himself. Everyone but April agrees and respects this(Raph is reluctant but obliged after the brother explained it was mostly temporary until the brother knew them all better)

Casey takes him home after saying his goodbyes and tell the grandparents the girls were staying on a secluded farm on the other side of the forest with a middle-aged couple and their 9 year old kid. He lied and said the couple has taken care of a similar case until the mutant decided to live on his own in the wild somewhere. Idk something believable along those lines. T he brother becomes friends with Casey and helps him at school, and Casey drives him to and from the house to visit the girls.

He eventually warms up to donnie a little bit and Raph by a lot. He himself talk to donnie about science stuff and mechanics with Casey but donnie still isn't allowed to interact woth the girls outside of teaching. But Raph is as long as Leo isn't with them and he cannot lay a hand on anyone besides threats infront of the girls. He still hates April and April quickly hates him back, causing a passive aggressive "I hate you but I'm gonna smile anyway because it's polite and I'm too mature to fight you" relationship with donnie. Bro insults the ugly ugg boots off of April but she never comes up with a good come back and Raph teams with the brother and him up everytime.

Casey was really conflicted with his friendship with the brother and April even after he moved on from April, but that later changed after Casey dumped the whole Love triangle story to the bro and the bro explains how she's way too toxic and should try and softly hint that to donnie bc the bro can't get through o donniw even if he wanted to. Casey understands himself better now and sees how bad April actually is as a person.

The Stray Cat is eventually adopted to idea of being the baby sister and now is considered family to the other cat mutant and the human bro. All three are super close and the girls get excited whenever their bro cokes by on the weekends. Whenever there's mission or an emergency the bro gets called and he stays with them at the house or the girls are either taken back to the bro and grandparents if the house is under attack.

After the donnie atom split, April is banished from the team entirely and the bro basically replaces her role and visits every day he doesn't have work. He and the girls learn to use European style swords instead of Japanese weapons because grandma used to be a swordsman and fencing instructor. Bro also uses guns. He aint fvcking around

Oh man, same! I started watching ninja turtles when the episodes were still coming out, back in '04 I think. I was 9! I got super into it, I got my best friend into it, we played with ninja turtle toys for so long.

My medical issues weren't so bad back then, but they were still a Whole Thing(tm) and I had the DVDs of the first 12 episodes of season 1 and all of Fast Forward once that came out. I watched both a LOT when I was sick, especially Fast Forward. It has gotten me through ROUGH times.

I'm glad you're rewatching it again! I've rewatched it probably three times in the last six months? I'll probably do it again, too hgdkfjg it's so good

Usagi does show up at April and Casey's wedding in the last episode, so I like to imagine that he and Leo had a time off-camera where they met and sparred a little and talked. I like to fill in the blanks. B)

A remake of '03 would be SO cool oh my god fhgfjg I would love that so much!!

ThANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT AHH!! I struggle with angles in anatomy as well, foreshortening is rough oof. The way I learned to draw things from certain angles is taking stock photos and tracing over them to see how things were drawn. I especially love AdorkaStock (previously SenshiStock), their stuff is GREAT for practicing poses. Looking up youtube videos on gesture drawing can also help loosen up poses. I also really love the Morpho art books, they're super helpful.

A lot of practicing art is just drawing. Even if you feel like it's not good, you should still draw it! As long as you're having fun and enjoying the process. That's the important part. Draw what you want, if you don't like it then don't post it anywhere! Even if you do like it, you don't have to post it. Sometimes it's nice to just draw something that's all yours.

IDK what context to give you, but I like reading about other peoples OCs.

Maybe when the OC either first met the turtles (if human/non-family) or when they first went topside (if mutant/family)

Summary: My ocs Jaz and Tanaka meet the turtles

Little context to my ocs, Tanaka is a Japanese American and he has been friends with Jaz the crazy guy since daycare. Tanaka has medium black hair 5'7 and wears just causl clothing while Jaz has a Dark green short hair it doesn't go past his ears, 5'4 and is wearing a white shirt with a black vest, with just some black pants and knee high black combat boots and has glasses. And Jaz is 16 while Tanaka is 17

Tanaka and Jaz were with April and Casey. Jaz and Tanaka were there because Casey was babysitting Jaz since he can't be by himself. They didn't even notice the foot clan attacking or the weird ooz April had.

"Jaz what the fuck is that"

Tanaka was looking at his best friend of almost 12 years who was currently playing in a Nintendo looking toy. It was a toy that's basically ring toss but in plastic and water.

"Give me a minute Tanaka Im almost finished"

Tanaka looked up from his friend hearing Casey jump. He looked back at Jaz who was currently holding a Sai.

"Hey I remember that, um what was it called"

Jaz looked up at Tanaka shocked.

"Bro your mom taught us about Japanese culture and common weapons that were used how do you not remember"

"Oh sorry your, Mr. Bleedy but I don't remember things that probly happened when we were 6"

"It was last year, and Mr. Bleedy? Come on"

"Yeah and why did she ask us"

"No I asked her since I wasn't really learning about it and I remembered her telling us about how she studied cultures while she was in college"

While the two friend were talking turtles were popping up.

"Guys get back"

Jaz and Tanaka looked at Casey and was 'protecting' Jaz, Tanaka. And April. Jaz looked over and seen the turtles before a thought came to mind.

"Casey don't be so shell about this"

Everyone went quiet, while Jaz giggles the turtle wearing orange was the only one who laughed.

"I wish your face started bleeding just so you can't talk no more"

Casey panicked and ignored what Jaz said.

"Hey whoa! Get back. [slowly] Do not eat us. We are not food. The people of Earth are not your enemies. Yeah? Yeah."

The one in orange giggled before jumping over to Casey swinging his nunchucks

"We were sent by the Supreme Leader to eat delicious humans and dip them in ranch dressing. I'm just kidding. I'm a vegan. Except for meat and cheese and eggs."

"Guys there my friends"

"April how In the holy guacamole did you become friends with four badass turtles"

"Jaz, be polite"

Jaz looked at Tanaka who was standing like a mom.

"Bro"

"It's a long story"

"Hmm"

"Oh. oh they...they're your friends"

"Yeah, their my friends. Tell them"

Jaz was having a stare down with Tanaka before he pushed Tanaka, and looked at the sai then at the turtles.

"Yeah. Donatello over there in the purple, he's a technical genius, who is technically a genius! Raphael over there in the red, he's like a big cuddly teddy bear, if big cuddly teddy bears were incredibly violent. This is Leonardo. He's in the blue. Fearless leader. Silent but deadly. And I'm Michelangelo, sporting my signature orange. I'm a triple threat... Brains, brawn, and obviously a dazzling personality. Ladies like to call me Mikey."

Jaz giggled while Tanaka looked like he was planning his murder.

"This guy is Great"

"Shut up"

Jaz fake gasped as the turtles continued.

"Are you done"

"Yeah"

"Sorry we're late, April. You want to walk me through what's going on here?"

While April started to explain what was going on Casey tried to get close but the Raphael and Michelangelo stopped him.

"Is this your sai"

Jaz had gotten pretty one to raph but not super close. Raph was a bit startled.

"Yeah"

Raph took the sai from the teen.

"So like what kind of turtle are you guys"

"Um, that's a great question ask Donnie"

Jaz forgot who was Donnie so he just nodded before looking over at Casey.

"You guys have eyes on bebop and rocksteady?"

Jaz then looked at Tanaka not knowing what to do but he was trying to sneak away.

"Hey get your ass back over have, with you soy sauce smelling self"

"I don't smell like soy sauce"

Tanaka stormed over to Jaz.

"Actully I may or may not have soaked your clothes in soy sauce while you were asleep"

Tanaka was flabbergasted as he smelled his clothes only to smell pure soy sauce.

"Let's get back to the lair. Raph, grab Friday the 13th here and follow. If he can help us find Bebop and Rocksteady, he's coming with."

Leonardo than looked over at Tanaka and Jaz

"And those two"

"No, he's not and their staying here with me. Not a chance"

"I'd agree with you, but you're wrong. See, we, too, share a "vested interest."

"I don't know what's going on but I'm down"

"Jaz"

"I don't share anything with you guys, and Jaz your dad would kill me if anything Happned to you so no your not going"

"Fellas, fellas... Now, the people of New York need us to set aside our differences and work together. Which begs only one question. Are you two guys like a thing or..."

Mikey pointed at April and Casey then at Jaz and Tanaka.

"Nah Tanaka aromatic ass over here is staying out of romance being lonely and-"

"Jazs pansexual Ass just doesnt get anyone even if he tried"

April and Casey groaned but mikey seemed pleased with Jaz and Tanakas answer.

"Come on, Move it"

"Wee"

Mikey giggled as Jaz jumped into the man hole cover. But Jaz leaned on Tanaka you went before him.

MY INTERATION OF TMNT: Mutant (Ninja) Teenage Turtles: Street View.

Hi. I just wanna talk about my interation of tmnt, MNTT: Street View. Soooo-

Leo is the eldest, being sixteen. Raph and Donnie are twins, both fifteen. Donnie is older by eleven minutes. Mikey is youngest, age fourteen. Leo is a red eared slider, Raph is an eastern painted turtle, Donnie is a fitzroy river turtle and Mikey is a Murray river short neck turtle. Decided to make Splinter a pet rat that accidentally gets mutated by their owner's dad. Bro grabbed the wrong rat. He's like, around 21 when he finds turtle eggs. They had been mutated before by scientists exploring this goo (mutation) they discovered in somewhere in New Jersey, and they decided to use it on four turtle eggs of different species.

Casey Jones gets moved out to New York from Newport, Rhode Island, where he lived with his mother and his sister, Angel. Long story short, His mother gets sick. So, he and his sister take a plane ride to New York, meeting their dad, Arnold, at the airport, whom Casey haven't seen since the divorce, when he was four.

It's been eleven years since, and Casey is fifteen. Angel is Casey's sister, age three. Let’s just say Casey and Angels mother slept with Arthur on drunken night, and she ended up pregnant. After moving, he joins the same school as April, and joins the hockey team.

He doesn't fit in very well, especially since he had gotten his front teeth and a couple of other teeth knocked out at his previous school's hockey team. He doesn't really have any friends. Not until meets April when she comes to a hockey game with her friends.

April O'Neil had moved from her family's ranch when she was five with her father after her mother's disappearance. She is now sixteen. She's very interested in photographing and making films. She also plays baseball with Sanita, one of her best friends since she was seven. She's also friends with Timothy and Irma. Timothy is on the basketball team and Irma does drama.

Timothy is friends with a guy on the hockey team who asked if they wanted to come and watch the first game of the season. Which they did. And That's how she met Casey.

Spencer, captain of the hockey team and friend of Timothys, introduces Casey to April, hoping to hook them up. They chat, talking about their likes and dislikes, their passions, their hobbies etc. and actually start to become friends after ten minutes.

Casey thinks she's a really cool chick. April is convinced he's a really nice guy. Until they go to a party to celebrate their first win of the season. Casey ends up drinking too much when he's not even supposed to be drinking. It also doesn't help when he smoked a joint or two before hand. So now here he is, high and drunk off his ass, giggling and yelling at people. Which kinda made April question whether or not he's actually who he says he is.

Long story short, Casey begs April to take him home with her, repeating the words "my dad's gonna kill me," as she gets him into her dad's car. April takes Casey back to the apartment she lives in with her dad, who is currently out doing work. She manages to get him into the shower, but realises something in the process. Casey's got “female parts". She asks about it.

Casey tells her he's trans, explaining he'd felt like a boy since he was young. He started transitioning socially when he was 10 and had only recently started testosterone. She just smiled and listened. They became best friends after that. Even if Casey can’t remember just shit from that night.

2. Do the turtles live in the sewers?

Venus and Jennika do for a while, but the main turtles don‘t! They live with Shen in the house she inherited from her deceased parents.

3. What is the lair like?

It‘s a pretty standard house. There‘s a ground floor with the living room, dining room, work room, kitchen and a small bathroom (plus one of those small storage room things) and then a second floor above that with what used to be 1) Shen‘s bedroom, 2) her parents‘ bedroom and 3) a guest bedroom, which are now 1) Shen‘s bedroom, but renovated 2) empty because Shen is totally over her parents‘ deaths, she‘s fine guys and 3) the turtles‘ room. Once it becomes clear that Jennika and Venus really don‘t have anywhere else to go and Shen feels too bad about letting them sleep on the couch, they renovate her parents‘ bedroom to make space for them.

There‘s also an attic and basement as additional storage space, the basement eventually gets turned into like, a hobby workshop thing + some sport equipment so everyone (Venus and Jen) can have healthier outlets than beating each other up. The attic ends up as sort of a second living room because with the addition of Casey and Mona it‘s starting to get crowded.

There‘s also a garden with high hedges surrounding it (plus, neighbours living pretty far away, Shen‘s place is in a pretty rural area) that gets turned into something much more habitable during the course of the story.

14. What is going on with the foot clan?

Saki has a midlife crisis and makes it everyone else‘s problem

The footclan was originally led by Saki and Yoshi together, but overall just bad decisions happened and Yoshi got fridged/Shredder‘ed, so now Saki is free to make all the mutants he wants. At this point Jen and Venus had already been created and escaped around a decade ago and Shen had just left with the main turtles.

Saki desperately wants to regain control over the situation, so he does the next logical step and goes from mutating random turtles to mutating members of the footclan (this is how Casey turns into a raccoon) in a desperate bit to gain more powers (because in his head Shen is going to do exactly what he was doing and use the turtles as nothing but weapons to further her goals - which he thinks are revenge on him).

Miwa is also caught up in all of this mess, convinced her mom abandoned her in favor of the turtles (a line of thinking that Saki encourages) and I‘m currently playing around with the idea of her mutating herself because obviously her mom cared more about mutants than her own kid and Saki also cares more about mutants than the humans following him.

The clan itself is getting pretty divided by this, some people are all for Saki‘s plans, others are like „maybe don‘t use the people who trust you as human test subjects??“. It‘s a whole mess, and Saki has no one to blame but himself

38. Is there a Tang Shen?

YES AND WE ALL LOVE HER VERY MUCH.

She‘s so. Her parents recently died, the father of her child turned into an ass and the man she called her best friend turned into an even bigger ass, she thinks her daughter died and also aquired four new children she wants to take care of that are also mutants who have been told they‘re nothing but weapons all their lives. She‘s tortured, she‘s marked by loss, she‘s a single mom and screw everything, she‘s gonna give these kids a life worth living.

She‘s trying so very hard to take care of her kids and then later also prevent Venus and Jennika from inventing new mental derangements, while also finding space somewhere to grief.

With Venus especially it‘s a pretty rough start, but the two turn into really, really close friends and Shen slowly learns to trust her in the same bone-deep way she‘d trusted Yoshi and Saki before getting her heart ripped out.

73. What interests does — have?

Gonna take this chance and answer it for all the SheLL girlies.

Shen: She really enjoys cooking and baking and is 100% a stress baker. She‘s also very into biology and puts all of that interest towards researching turtles after the child acquisition. She‘s also a bit of a music (metal specifically) nerd and WILL talk to you about obscrue bands

Venus: Violence and pain </3 It‘s gonna take her a bit, but she eventually discovers she likes making music, so she and Jen found their own little band (one that Shen hears about long before she even leaves with the turtles). Later, with Shen, she also gets really into video games and reading (specifically trashy romantasy books that she‘s only reading to complain about them <3)

Jen: Also making music, and also generally anything artsy. She‘s painting one day, then sculpting the next, then sewing, cross-stitching, origami, graffiti, woodworking anything she can get her hands on really (something that Shen helps her with a lot). Queen of expressing herself through art. She‘s also into viddy games and has a lot of fun trolling other players/getting gamer dudes to ragequit (something Venus encourages because she thinks it‘s funny as fuck)

Mona: She‘s really interested in anything technology, but also botany. And also just learning more in general, she‘s super curious. Voted most likely to defend public libraries despite never being in one before. She‘s the person who largely takes care of the garden and she takes great pride in it.

Casey: Into hockey in theory, in practice she can‘t exactly go out and play it with humans. She‘s still very into watching the games and cheering her favorite team on. She also quickly discovers her love for exploring abandoned buildings and Jen is her partner in crime whenever she goes out to do that. She‘s also very into puzzles and loves learning about like, encryption and and logic things like rubix cubes and all those others fidget-y puzzle things

Leo: He likes learning more about cooking with Shen <3 He‘s also really interested in etiquette (especially from eras long since over) because it helps with his anxiety to have these almost like scripts on how to respond in given situations. Most formal (though it‘s a mash of what‘s considered formal across multiple cultures and times) six year old you‘ll ever meet. He‘s fascinated by space and loves watching stage plays

Mikey: Gets obsessed with a new animal every other week. They‘re also very artistic and pick up whatever hobbies Jen dropped. He‘s easily interested in pretty much anything the people around her pick up, but they just as easily drop it again. He also loves learning about how things work/are made and is so definitely the kid who keeps asking "why" a billion times.

Donnie: She‘s always reading something. If she‘s not, she‘s taking notes on something she just read or observed. Donnie‘s really into books about (in the real world, not fiction about) magic and the supernatural and the occult and anything like that. This is fueled by her wanting to understand everyone‘s very real magic more and drawing on whatever sources she can get her grabby little hands on.

Raph: They‘re really into fashion. And also fighting. And wrestling. And watching teledramas. They also end up getting roped into whatever experiments Donnie wants to try the most often.

It's been almost a year since y/n has moved to New York. They moved all alone and it's expensive in NY so they've been struggling. They met the turtles pretty soon after moving here. They spent time with Vern, April, and Casey as well.

"I think we should get you all homemade presents for your birthday though." April offered, "That way you don't feel bad for making us you get you something. Come on y/n, we have to celebrate your birthday!"

"No April. I really don't want anything. Birthdays really aren't a big deal." You try to tell her. Her and the guys have been trying to convince you to let them throw you a party, especially with all the personal stuff you've been going through but you've felt so bad about it. The turtles don't have birthdays. It's just another thing that makes them different and you don't want them to have to watch you be 'normal'.

"Come on Angelcakes. Pizza, I'll bake the cake, just a party the seven of us." Mikey pleaded.

"Eight, by the way. And no one is eating the cake if you're baking it Michelangelo." Vern joined in, "Come on, y/n, this is what friends are for."

"Look I'm going home so you guys get off my ass about this. I don't want a party and that's that. No gifts, no cake, no nothing other than a nice happy birthday is all I want." You exit out the huge tunnel labeled 'exit'. You just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. You've been arguing with the guys about this forever and it's franky exhausting. The second they told April and Vern they were up your ass about it too.

There's a number of reasons you don't want them going out of their way for you that there's too many for you to just explain to them. You wish they'd just let you celebrate your birthday in a casual fashion.

As soon as you got home you started getting ready for bed. You quick check your phone and of course you have texts from every single one of your turtle group friends.

Leo: Hey I wish you'd rethink. We want to celebrate for you.

Don-Bon: y/n please don't be mad at us

Mikey: Yo just let us do this for u dudette it'll be fun

Raph: shorty what's the real reason you don't want a party

Casey: your kinda being a douche just so u know the guys r excited

April: bb I'm doing something anyways hope you know that.

Vern: you deserve something fucking cool. 😎😑

Their cringey texts aside, you're too tired to answer their bullshit. As much as it made you feel shitty you ignored all of them. You intended to pass out and not wake up for as long as humanly possible.

You wake up the next morning with the light shining so bright in your face. You threw the blanket over your head and grabbed your phone from under the blanket. As you opened up your messages you remembered you left everyone on read and started to panic. Only three people texted you again since you fell asleep.

Mikey: I hope u have fun! 🥳🤩🤪

Leo: I'm sorry we disobeyed your wishes. Love you.

Vern: dont forget I'm rich and famous you can't prove anything.

You quick texted Vern back.

Y/n: literally WHAT HAPPENED while I was asleep.

He was quick to text back.

Vern: idk come find out.

You get out of bed and quick put on some comfy clothes. You went out in your living room to find tons of birthday decorations and presents stacked on your dining table. There was an envelope your favorite color at the front of the table. You opened it and inside was a letter that read;

"Dear y/n,

We've politely declined your demand to NOT celebrate your birthday. We're most definitely celebrating and throwing a party at your place at 6. So enjoy your peace and quiet while you can. We've got tons of insane things planned kid.

Inside the envelope was $1,000. You take out your phone to thank Vern for the money (but also to yell at him) but as you do he facetimes you. You answer and as you start to yell at him you realize, he has your favorite celebrity with him, who he has tell you happy birthday.

a/n: My first request! I was sooo excited for this one! I kinda took it in a different direction, but I tried to keep it as close to your request as possible. I can’t wait to write all of the other requests you guys have sent me!

“Oh my God, that movie was crazy!” April exclaimed. 

You had just moved back to New York two weeks prior, and your favorite redheaded cousin invited you to see a movie with her and her boyfriend friend, Casey–much to his dismay–which you’d been thankful for; April was the only person you knew at school. 

As someone who tended to keep to yourself, April was aware of your anti-social tendencies, and she’d do everything to avoid it. She was determined to make New York City actually feel like home. 

“Eh,” Casey shrugged. “It was alright. I don’t really see the hype.”

April rolled her eyes. “Don't pretend that we didn’t see you jump at all the jump-scares, Casey.”

Casey grinned. “You paying attention that closely to me, Red? You must like me or something.”

You couldn’t help but giggle as you watched the two bicker back and forth.

“Shut it, Jones,” she rolled her eyes. 

A crash behind you made the three of you jump and turn around instinctively. Though, nothing could be visible. 

“What the hell was that?” you muttered to yourself. The eery streets of the city at night had yet to make you feel welcome.

Suddenly, what had looked like slender robots in black robes began sprinting toward you three, jumping out behind trash cans and street corners. Your heart sank to your stomach at the scene in front of you, your body frozen in shock.

“Footbots!” April screamed, exchanging looks with Casey. “Casey, get Y/n back home, I’ll handle them!”

Casey raised his eyebrows. “What?! No way, Red! You go home with Y/n, I’ll handle it.” He grabbed one of his hockey sticks and charged at the Footbots, leaving you not knowing what to do.

April grabbed what looked like a steel fan from her pocket and began fighting as well; it was a sight you never thought you’d ever see.

“Y/n, run!” April shouted over the sounds of steel against steel, and hockey sticks against cement.

You began running in the opposite direction of the chaos, in the direction of your home. Though it’d take about another ten minutes to get there, you were eager to do anything you had to get away from what you'd just witnessed.

You weren’t able to get far before one of the robots appeared in front of you, causing you to stumble back onto the cement. Your eyes wide with fear, staring at the huge being towering over you with a sword in hand. As it raised its sword, a blade sliced across its torso with a quickness you would have missed if you weren’t watching so intently. As the robot’s body fell in half onto the pavement in front of you, another being with green skin and a blue mask appeared, holding the katana that had saved your life. 

“Woah,” was all you could manage, staring at it. Green speckled skin, a plastron and a shell...was it a turtle? 

It left, fighting off the rest of the bots with three more that looked just like it, all with different colored masks and different weapons. Your heart was racing, you could feel your body pulsating with the very beat of your heart as the fight ensued. 

“Guys,” one of them spoke up. “Splinter’s not gonna be too happy about another human knowing about us.”

They can talk?

The four turtles and your two friends looked your way as your eyes rolled back and you felt your head hit the pavement before falling into unconsciousness.

You woke up in your bed, your redheaded cousin sitting at the foot of your bed. You groaned, your hand going to the back of your head where gauze had been placed. 

“Y/n,” April began, her voice soft. “We need to talk.”

“What happened last night?” you moaned, your vision spinning as the pain in the back of your head increased.

She grabbed a glass of water on your nightstand and handed it to you.

“Here,” she kept her hands on your own to ensure that you were holding it tight enough, tipping it back as you gulped. 

She stared down at her fingers, fumbling with them. This was a nervous habit you’d remembered your cousin having for as long as you could remember. But why would she be nervous, you thought to yourself. 

“Last night–”

“I saw something,” you interrupted. “Or some things,” you corrected, goosebumps rising along your arms as you thought about the turtles.

April sighed. “I know.”

You furrowed your eyebrows. “What exactly were they? And what was attacking us?”

And so she began.

She told you everything; the turtles, Master Splinter, Shredder, the Kraang, mutagen. It was a moment of trust, a moment of trusting in one of her favorite people–one of the only people she had left.

“And now that you’re going to be living here,” April began.

“Then I should learn how to defend myself,” you finished for her.

She nodded, letting out a sympathetic sigh. “I’m so sorry for dragging you into this.”

You shook your head, grabbing her hands to hold within your own. “’United we stand, divided we fall’,” you quoted, a quote both your parents had said to you multiple times as children. “If you need another addition to your army, then count me in.”

As you both walked through the tunnels of the sewers, you kept your nose plugged.

“Does the smell get any better?” you groaned.

She nodded. “You get used to it; I had to live down here for a few weeks.”

You nearly gagged at the thought, before entering the lair.

There they were, once again. The red masked one was punching a large punching bag, the blue masked one was sitting in front of a television whilst the orange masked one sat next to him, pizza in hand. Pizza?! The fourth one was nowhere in sight. 

April gestured. “Y/n, these are the turtles,” she pointed to the red masked one, “that’s Raph,” she pointed to the blue masked one, “Leo,” she pointed to the orange masked one, “Mikey,” she paused, looking around. 

“Where’s Don-”

“Hi, April!” a voice exclaimed, nearly scurrying over to you both with a blush painted on his cheeks.

She rolled her eyes playfully. “And, that’s Donnie.”

Supposedly, after getting permission to bring you to the lair from Master Splinter, she’d warned them that you were coming. 

Leo looked over, his eyes finally peeling away from his show with a smile. “How’s your head feeling?” he asked, walking toward you.

You shrugged, gently blushing at the sudden attention. “It’s, uh, better now, but I don't think I hit it too hard to begin with.”

“Actually,” Donnie spoke, “the impact wasn’t enough to cause a lot of bleeding, but it'll be bruised for the next couple of days.”

You frowned. “W-were you the one who took care of my head?”

He nodded, invisible eyebrows furrowed in query. 

“Oh, thanks,” you said softly, “it’s healing really fast.”

He blushed, about to say something in return before his orange-masked brother interrupted him by running up to you.

“Well,” Mikey began, “I was the one who saved you a slice of pizza!”

The gang groaned in disgust; the slice of pizza had lint, worms, and an undetectable bug species sitting on top of the cheese. 

“Mikey, did you get that from under your bed?!” Leo scoffed.

Mikey smirked. “Mayybeee,” he eyed the slice. “It’s still good though, I think.”

He grinned at you, but could see the disgust in your appearance. He hung his head. “I guess I’ll just eat it,” he sighed.

You felt horrible, but in all honesty, the sight alone made your stomach churn. 

“Y/n,” you heard, distracting you from the moldy pizza.

You looked up, seeing the one and only Master Splinter. He looked completely different than how you’d pictured him in your head; he was much taller than you expected. He walked closer to you, until you were just feet apart. 

“April has told me a lot about you,” he began, his voice soothing to the ear. “I hope that you fulfill my wish to keep my sons and I a secret.”

You nodded. “Of course, urm, Master Splinter.”

He nodded, before calling the turtles to train with him.

“See you latah, Dudette,” Mikey bid with a wink, before running off to train with his brothers.

April looked at you, an eyebrow cocked at the deep blush on your cheeks.

“What?” you asked shyly.

“Nothing, Dudette,” April mocked with a grin.

You began to spend multiple days of the week at the lair with April and Casey, even bringing your homework down there after school; Master Splinter offered to train you, and you obliged. Mikey would be over your shoulder, asking you questions about your homework even after Leo had told him to give you some personal space. 

But you began to feel comfortable with the turtles, and you started to open up and reveal your personality. 

“Hey Mikey,” you announced, walking up to him in the kitchen. “Want to go train with me?”

You could have sworn that his pupils grew the size of bowling balls, and he was there with his nunchucks in no time.

You began training with the turtles, almost always with Mikey, though he refused to fight back or hit you. You’d share a pizza after, watch television, and eventually take a nap before he’d have to leave for patrol.

“You’re getting so good, Dudette!” he exclaimed after training, shoveling pizza slices into his mouth.

You blushed. “Thanks, Mikey...” You rolled your eyes as you watched him finish the box to himself. “Do we really have to eat pizza everyday?” 

“Yesss,” he said in a sing-song voice. “I love days like this; it’s my two favorite things!”

You furrowed your eyebrows. “What?”

“You and pizza, duh!” 

Your cheeks heated up, and you pressed a kiss onto his green freckled cheek.

“Thanks, Mikey. You know, if it weren't for you and your brothers saving me from those Footbots, then I wouldn't even be here,” you pointed out.

He grinned. “That makes me, like, a hero!”

You planted a kiss onto his lips, causing him to nearly melt into the floor.

“My hero,” you corrected.

Give us the Donatellos!

Donnie is my favorite so Imma be super biased on this one. Maybe I like smart guys or maybe purple is my favorite color, you’ll never know!

Up first, the og ‘hehe turgle’

Donatello (1987)

Yeah I’m sorry for making this 

First of all, not the biggest fan of his voice. It has a bit of a whiny quality to it, and I’m not about all that jazz. His gismo’s look pretty lame a lot of the times, either it’s a grey box with some buttons, dials and flashing lights or looks like it was pulled directly from Lost in Space. Still a cute design but he felt pretty bland and seemed to be used for plot convenience most of the time. To put it simply, he was cute and essential but kinda bland. I’m always really harsh on this version because it’s so painfully dated and cheesy, which ain’t my cup of tea, but what can I say be hehe turgle.

I had a crush on this Donnie so you know that this is not remotely close to a fair rating but eh, I love him and yall do too

Don (2003)

His voice, such a huge improvement. I’m really sound-oriented and I often like to play a game of ‘I’ve heard the VA before, but which role?’ when I watch cartoons and I don’t mean to brag, but I’m pretty good at it. So when I heard that soft, caring voice, ten year old me was head over heels. Which is one quality I love about him. His heart is so huge, like I can think back to a bunch of side characters and most of them were introduced through Don helping or knowing them. The Atlantians and the homeless in the show owe so much to Don, but he goes out of his way to make sure that they are alright. In the last season (which everyone hated but I actually really liked so fuck me I guess), Splinter is lost into tiny pieces across the web and Don blames himself and goes without sleep and food for days to bring him back. It broke my heart, and I’m pretty sure a lot of others, to see him like that.

On a lighter note, I vaguely remember this one scene where the triceration dude is like ‘you did this!’ and Don’s like ‘I did? Good for me then.’ and had a very pleased grin on his face right after. I don’t know why, but that killed me. Bless Don and his rare, but excellent, comebacks.

He really does so much and there were quite a few episodes focused on him. He also had quite a bit of character development, not as much as Leo, but whoever gets any more development whatsoever besides Leo?

I love him he’s amazing protect him/10

Next up is the Donnie that helped me love my old gap tooth.

Donnie (2012)

Voiced by the very talented Rob Paulson, this Donnie goes back and forth from really great character to eh. The whole April thing was just kinda strange to me and I don’t really think it added anything other than some interesting Casey and Donnie banter. His crush was really strong the first two seasons and came off as stalkerish almost. Although I’m guilty of having a picture of a crush as my lock screen once as well, so I can’t judge that much. I really liked that they actually addressed this when Bigfoot had a crush on Donnie and he realized how April felt. Yeah, that episode was weird and just didn’t make any sense, but it really helped Donnie gain a new perspective and made him go from super crush to (mostly) hidden pining. He has a nice design as well, especially with the gap tooth. I used to have one and was really embarrassed of it but whenever I saw that Donnie had one, I thought it looked neat and I started to see myself in a more positive light. It’s closed up now, but I can still spray water between the little bit that’s left as a parlor trick. But seriously, what the FUCK was up with Don visiososoos whatever tf his name I I don’t understnad my tiny brain don’t understand why my purple boy tried to kill this dude who looked like he should’ve been wearing a red jumpsuit in the background of a pixar robot love story. Anyway, my tall gap tooth son, ily.

Now this version has one of my favorite designs out of all the Donatello’s!

Donatello (2014/2016)

They put a lot of thought into his design psychically, the long body, the near-constant look of surprise and curiosity in his features, the gadgets made of common objects, the wraps on his arms, I would love to be able to think of and make those kinds of details! It was all really well thought out and he stood out since he wasn’t as bulky as the rest of the turtles. I really like the little lines and the actor did a fantastic job on the delivery and really made the character come to life. Some favorites: ‘Ohmygod, they have guns’, the little awed, snorty chuckle when he flips a car over with his bo staff, ‘doitdoitoitdoit im not gonna stop til you do it doditdoit’ and when he straight up yeets himself out of a plane. He has a genuine curiosity in everything he does and I think he might be my favorite version. It’s hard to choose when it comes to Donnie because he varies so wildly. But for detail, voice and writing alone, definitely the 2014 Donnie.

Donnie (2018)

Chaotic as all hell, like I can’t think of a more chaotic character from ANY of the versions other than this Donnie. I have a lot of thoughts about his character in general, from design, to psychology and complexes. First and foremost, Donnie is a softshell turtle, meaning he has a DOPE battle shell and overall looks pretty damn neat. Although, I think that just the fact he’s biologically weaker has caused him to put up a lot of boundaries between him and his family and friends. He can’t be incredibly strong like Raph, agile like Leo or fast like Mikey and even though he brags about being smart, he feels almost beneath his brothers and strives to outdo them in any way he can. He wants to show them that he’s just as, if not more so, talented and feels overlooked because his inventions become ‘too smart’ or ‘too over the top’ and even the ones that work out incredibly well are written off for flashier projects. 

He depends on technology and feels like that's all he has, and (ironically enough) he’s built up a shield around him. He acts confident and narcissistic and has an almost nihilistic outlook, but he’s frustrated and feels inferior and wants validation more than anything. I came up with this theory when I saw the episode Turtle Dega Nights. I know that the scene was meant for Donnie to express how he feels about Splinter lying about the event and believe that he didn’t genuinely want to hang out with his sons, but that kind of thing feels like it’s been built up over time, like he’s been lied to before about the true meaning behind something. Something like, oh idk, how great his inventions are? Or how helpful he really is? Or how talented he is? Just sayin. Also ngl I might be self projecting a bit, but mmm. Also he has so much purple on him and it’s wayyy more accurate compared to just a purple bandanna bc people who like purple GO ALL OUT. A friend told me this and I thought ‘nah thats not true I like purple’ but then I looked down to find my dyed purple jeans, purple vans and my favorite hoodie, also purple. A really chaotic version but he seriously needs a hug.

Storytime: One time my friend dressed up as Donnie the same year I was dressing as April O’ Neal and we didn’t even plan it. It was fantastic.

THIS IS THE NEW KIMMI

RISE!KIMMI

16 year old, lives with her mother, Hayami Mihatsu, in a ratty apartment, works a late shift job after school and goes to the local YMCA to learn martial arts, while also secretly learning the ways of the Foot clan from it’s only remaining members. Best friends with Casey Jones, who she does vigilante with and that’s how they meet the turtles!

Kimmi and Casey are both uber chill about the turtles due to the fact that Kal ( still the same nb pal) brings them down to the mutant underground to trade stuff they find and Kimmi and Casey are just generally fine as long as people are down to throw hands!

After being friends for a good while and no one really ever mentioning the Foot around Kimmi, she ends p jumping between the guys and the Foot soldiers. The turtles are trying to tell her to get out of the way when they realize the Foot guys are doing the same, and calling her “My Lady” and “Mistress”

She demands to know why they’re attacking her friends and both sides are trying to get answers when one of the guys ask Kimmi what’s happening.

She informs the Turtles that her father was the last leader of the Foot after they had taken control of a large vicinity of family’s in Japan when he married her mother, a forced marriage. He disappeared just before her birth and Mihatsu ran to America, cutting off connections with the Foot and her own clan in hopes of protecting the child. The remains of the Foot followed them and took up training Kimmi in the background. She’s only recently been officially ordained as the new Shredder, on her 16th birthday, but she tries to explain she’s changing the Foot clan to do better than just being muscles for hire or just mercenaries.

But the guys are upset. I mean, she didn’t tell them! They’re supposed to be friends, right?!

She ends up telling them that she wants them to be on her side about this, but if they won’t fight with the Foot, they’ll have to be the enemy.

Every time they fight, she tries to talk the guys into seeing her way about making a better world, but she’s a bad guy now so what’s it matter?

Raph is the maddest about it cause he Kimmi and Casey were the Bad Time Trio, throwin hands and just being dumb asses together! One of his best friends! Just a bad guy, all along! He gets pretty violent when they fight, enough that it actually scares everyone. Kimmi only retreats from Raph.

Leo’s the one to actually listen. Even while fighting, when she’s begging for one of them to “see reason”, he’s actually partially giving in. She promises they won’t have to hide anymore, that humans and mutants can live together on the surface. And he’s sort of going for it.

Now idk what the actual plot of Rise is cause I haven’t sat down to watch it since the first ep aired. So I made up plot.

The real Shredder winds up coming back and Kimmi steps down to let him back to his place as the leader and Karai comes with him. But he sides up with Draxum and starts down the path Kimmi had tried to leave behind, she’s not sure she likes it but leaves it.

Karai is salty about being an illegitimate child so she gets no rights to take over the Foot, which makes her and Kimmi fight. Alot.

Saki and Draxum, at somepoint, start talk about having an army of mutants and decide to mutate Kimmi. She’s very against the idea, insisting she can become strong enough to be of worth on her own, but they force her to anyways.

It turns out, she’s already a mutant, it was just an inactive kind. It’s physically painful, but she comes out “unscathed” but able to change into any mutant she’s comes in contact with and then revert back at will. She can force her body not to change if she’s really focusing on it but it’s painful either way.

The reason behind the original mutation is that Saki had been mutated by Draxum before he had married Mihatsu

She eventually decides she won’t allow her father to continue this path and stages a coup. She takes over the Foot with Karai as her Second in Command and they cut off ties with Draxum.

Word gets back to the Turtles and Leo decides that’s enough proof and leaves his brothers’ behind to join the Foot. Kimmi’s grateful to hear it even if her sister and guides suggest he may be lying. Leo becomes her ever constant companion and body guard of a sort and they talk about all the changes Kimmi’s making, including gaining the trust of humans above with a buisness the Foot runs that focusing most of its work on charity type work even though they’re in most markets across the world (I won’t dip too much into the business end of this, jsut know most of it comes from multiple large families in Japan pledging back to the Foot), and Kimmi personally seeing to helping mutants of the underground in anyway they can, including supplying small business mutants may have.

She’s genuinely trying to do good and bring people together, especially now that she’s also a mutant. She calls herself “The Bridge” and that it must be her destiny to bring these two worlds together due to her appearance, DNA and more.

There was more, including a big epic fight with Saki as the Shredder and Draxum doing his thing where Kimmi gets some epic scars but I forgot most of the details cause I waited so long to do this... so w/e

Summary:

Ethanol is the intoxicating part of alcohol and its molecules are so small that they can actually pass into the gaps between brain cells. There it can interfere with the neurotransmitters that enable all the brain’s activities. If you drink fast, alcohol will start to flood the brain. Alcohol affects parts of the brain responsible for self-control. And that is why Donatello did all this dumb shit to himself.

Chapter 1: Salt and Lime

“Pussy.” Mikey huffed at Casey as the human chugged down his cup of beer. Casey stuck out his middle finger as he drank.

“I’d say sensible,” Donnie chimed in, “the dare said to ‘drink a concoction of whatever the opponent makes using whatever they can find in the kitchen.’”

“Yeah so?” The other’s looked at him dumbfounded. Flashes of Mikey’s bizarre “food” concoctions from when he was a young chief, and them too worried to crush his dreams, flash in their minds.

Taking turns they began to reminisce of his old creations. The ‘Squid Oatmeal Pizza.’ that Raph still swears he saw an eye on. But, as Donnie pointed out at the time, “It could be a raisin. You know, from the the...oatmeal...part?” at least that's what the boys keep telling themselves. They ate the entire pizza that night.

And who could forget the ‘Apple Pizza Pie Suprise’ with ‘All the wonders of both pies together with a twist!’ Poor April, who had not yet tried his creations and was too late to hear the turtle’s warnings, found the twist quickly after chewing on the bite only once. The brother’s had watched helplessly as their best friend’s soul left her body to the depths of hell. The pizza part of this creation was a classic Mikey order that she has seen only once; double anchovies, roasted garlic, chocolate, cappuccino pizza. The only thing that had stopped her from spitting it out before Mikey had walked away was the shock of the taste, it had paralyzed her. All she could do was open her mouth to let the food fall onto her plate and push it directly into the trash next to her. None of the brothers could blame her. She remembers her bite having a certain pop to it that she tried many years to forget.

‘Asian cowboy fusion calzone dude!’ Is what had gotten Karai. By this point, Mikey was a better cook, he would make odd foods for himself all the time still but no one had told Karai. She took a small bite that Mikey offered her but immediately spit it out, much to the turtle’s amusement as he was laughing. She found out later that to Mikey “cowboy” meant beans and s’mores and “Asian” meant teriyaki sauce, ginger, and shrimp. Karai learned an important lesson that day, never trust Mikey’s original cooking.

“And that was all him being nice and trying to cook.” Casey added pouring himself another cup of beer, “This would be him making something bad for my dare.” Everyone shuttered thinking about the horrors that could have been. Except for one bubbly laugh.

“Yeah, you’re right dude.” Mikey took a drink from his cup, “I get creative when I’m drunk so I probably would have killed you.” They all chuckled at this, everyone would have rather drunk.

They loved their weekends together because they got to do this, have fun and laugh. April was in college and spent a lot of time studying, even if she came to the lair at least four times a week. Casey wasn’t in college but he had a job at his local ice arena, he helped teach young kids hockey and did general cleaning and maintenance, that kept him pretty busy. Karai was always busy, over the time she took over the Foot Clan had reclaimed their good name but she was still having to deal with certain people still loyal to Shredder or mob bosses who saw her as an easy hit. Even if they were busy they still would try to gather together every weekend to relax and half fun together. This Friday night, with alcohol already clouding their minds, they were playing Truth, Dare or Drink.

Leaning forward Casey took hold of the bottle and spun it, still leaning forward he plucked up a dare card not looking at the words yet. “Wow, Casey Jones picked dare.” Donnie chaffed, “Did not see that one coming.” Casey smiled cheerfully at the turtle with wide eyes, gap teeth, and a middle finger on both hands. There was a chuckle at their banter, Donnie had become comfortable with it and often looked forward to his time with Casey. They had truly become good friends.

As the sound rolling of glass slowly dulled so did everyone’s voice until both were silent. The neck of the bottle pointing, if a bit vaguely, at Donnie. Mikey oohed with excitement like Casey Mikey enjoyed movement rather than talking so he always preferred dares. Hopefully, this dare won’t be a drink instead.

Dramatically, Casey lifted his arm to point at the turtle, “Donatello! The cards dare you to,” He lifted the card up to read aloud, “do a body shot off your opponent.” There was a chorus of laughs and oos from everyone as Donnie shook his head.

“No, no. I’m not doing that. I’ll drink.” Everyone turned to boo him. “BOOO!” he answered.

“Donnie you haven’t done one dare!”

“Mikey, I’ve only gotten one other dare.”

“AND YOU DIDN’T DO IT!” Mikey was having a hard time trying to understand what Donnie didn’t get about this very simple topic. Just before Donnie could say anything Raph leaned forward from his spot on the couch interjecting their argument.

“Hey come on, it's fine. This is Donnie’s choice.” He paused for a second taking a drink from his cup as everyone looked surprised. He smirked as he pulled the cup away, “And he’s choosing to be a fucking killjoy.” There were a few laughs as Donnie just rolled his eyes, he reached for his cup leaning forward from his spot on the floor.

A hand reached out and stopped his wrist, he followed the hand up to April who had walked over to him from her seat next to Karai. She was crouched down sitting on her heels, he ninja training with the other girls must be going great, he had not even heard her move. “Look, Donnie,” He’s heard that tone of voice before, “if you don’t want to do this that’s fine but you had two easy dares. Just have fun no one will make fun of you.”

“Bullshit.”

“Did you see us make fun of anyone else?” Thinking back Donnie could remember everyone laughing at crazy antics but then just more celebrating all together. When Leo had to let Raph draw on his face with a sharpie everyone was laughing, even Leo now sporting a lovely penis across his forehead among other drawings.

Donnie sighed, might as well give the people what they want, “Alright fine I’ll do it.” he said throwing his hands up. Before he could even stand up Casey and Mikey had already hoped up and started moving to the kitchen laughing and cheering. As everyone else stood and made their way to the kitchen Casey was sitting on the table, legs dangling over the sides, shrugging off his jacket and throwing it to the side. Bent over the open fridge Mikey was looking for the tequila Casey had brought over with the beer. The salt and lime already in his hands as Mikey grabbed the chilled bottle and placed the items on the table. Soon the rest of the group joined them at the table just as Casey began to pull his shirt over his head.

Donatello couldn’t help but see how the human had really grown into his frame, as a scientist observes an animal grow and mature. His muscles were more defined from when he was a gangly kid, his abdomen had the defined lines of muscle. His hips made a V just before his pants, this was accented further due to a small patch of hair leading from his belly button to bellow his pants. Donnie realized this felt different than observing and animal grow and mature, ‘Must be the alcohol.’ he thought to himself, because what else could it be? A shout from Mikey quickly shook him from his trance. “Dude, what the hell!”

“What?!”

“What the fuck is on your nipples?!”

The turtle’s had seen Casey shirtless before but something had changed. Now there was a visible bar of metal going through each nub where there hadn’t been last time. “Oh yeah,” Casey chuckled looking at his chest, “I got my nipples pierced.”

“Well, that part is obvious!” Shouted Raph, “When did you do this?”

“A little after the tongue at a shop.” Raph had known about the tongue. They had gotten their tongue piercing done together by Slash. Sure it may have been a ‘teenage at home piercing’ but it was straight and healed up just fine, that was almost a solid year and a half ago. Donnie rolled his eyes as he got to work cutting the lime, being very careful as he could feel his body sway.

“It’s just body modification, lots of humans do it.” Even though his words were indifferent his eye’s lingered on Casey’s chest, a slight amount of dark hair contrasted with the sparkling silver rings. There was something fascinating about it that just drew in Donnie’s attention, they suited Casey.

“Dude, it’s so weird looking!” Mikey reached forward and poked at the human’s nipple. Normally Casey was cool with being randomly touched by Mikey, especially in a party situation like this. However, as soon as he pressed down on Casey the turtle had his hand pushed away as Casey scooted away on the table with a nervous hum, laugh. He had reached up to covering his nipple with his hand and other arm held up to keep Mikey at a distance.

“Whoa! Ok!” There was still a chuckle with his words, “Hey Mikey lets not touch my nipples ok.” There was a questioning look in his eyes as well as everyone else, Casey shrugged, “They made my nipple more sensitive than I'm used too.” There was a slight pinkness in his cheeks as everyone briefly discussed this new topic. Donatello could feel his face heat up as well, ‘Must be from the alcohol.’ he thought.

Raph snatched the lime slice Donnie had cut and ran the fruit next to Casey’s belly button and poured salt over it, the crystals clung to the lime juice on his skin. After much debate, the group decided to pour the shot into the dip made by Casey’s pronounced collar bone when he leaned his head back. It wasn’t enough to fit an entire shot and he wasn’t allowed to move or he would pour the tequila but it made the body shot feel more authentic, whatever that means. Casey complained slightly about the cold fruit and liquor but no one really cared enough to change anything, besides it was already too late to change anything. So Casey just sat there, neck stretched back, leaning on one arm with a lime slice in his mouth waiting on a certain purple-clad turtle.

Donnie stepped between the human's legs a bit reluctantly, they looked at each other, well as best they could without Casey moving his head.  Donnie with his arms crossed, he waited for Casey to back out because surely he would by this point. But he just sat there, lime sticking out of his gap teeth surrounded by a shit-eating grin, Donnie couldn’t let that grin win. After a few more still, silent seconds Donnie took a breath and bent down.

Donatello’s rough tongue ran over the area of salt on the human’s stomach, he could feel Casey tense slightly under his tongue, he could feel the soft, warm skin as it contracted against muscle. Donnie ran over the slight dip were his abs were more defined, he couldn’t taste the human over the tart lime and salt but some animalistic part of him wanted to. Some inner part of his brain wanted to bite the human. Vaguely in the distance, he could hear hoots of encouragement but they were drowned out by the sound of hot blood rushing to his head. Still, they pulled him back to the task at hand, already forgetting his primal thought.

As Donnie stood he rested his hands on either side of Casey on the table, he leaned forward and touched his lips to the human’s collar bone and the tequila. Donnie could have sworn he heard Casey’s breath hitch over the chorus of cheers when his tongue lightly ran over the soft alcohol wet skin. With a loud, almost comically, disruptive slurp Donnie had swallowed the alcohol, it burned his throat but the salt helped.

Moving on, he leaned forward to take the lime from the other’s mouth, he bit down and pulled only to be met with resistance. Casey held onto the lime with a smirk forcing Donnie to play a game of tug o’ war for the lime, very annoying.

The turtle looked up to glare at Casey only to find black eyes already looking at him and it felt like time had frozen. Donnie wondered if he had ever looked at Casey’s eyes. Donnie thought that he had eyes like the deepest water, black and bottomless pools of onyx trying to pull the turtle in. For a moment he thought he could explore those eyes for hours trying to find their end and never get tired.

Snapped out of his daze by Casey letting go of the lime causing Donnie to stumble back from his own tugging. This earned a chuckle from the group followed by pats on his shell and congratulations. Smiling and laughing with everyone he couldn’t help but feel his heart beat faster and harder in his chest. He glanced over at Casey and saw him putting his shirt back on and laughing with Raph about how he jumped off the table and almost fall.

Everyone was using this time to talk about what had been happening in the game and to grab more snacks and drinks. Also to pet Ice Cream Kitty, like a lot. A few people cried. Petting Ice Cream Kitty is serious business. Donnie was pouring bags of snacks into different bowls when his eye’s drifted to Casey once or twice, looking for something. He was standing in front of the open freezer having just put whipped cream on the sugary cat, he then tipped his head back to fill his mouth with whipped cream. Donnie watched as his long neck stretched back, Donnie remembered how soft his skin felt against the harsh salt taste. A more animalistic part of his brain said something but it was muffled in the back of his mind.

“Don, you ok?” April’s voice pulled him out of his daze and he realized he has spilled quite a few pretzels.

“Yeah, yeah I’m fine just lost focus.” He smiled and worked to clean up the spilled pretzels. Why was he so fascinated by Casey?

‘Must be from the alcohol.’ he thought.
