Ex prince of the northern kingdom Hiemal. Accused of killing his older brother two nights before his coronation as king. Exiled and threatened with execution at his father’s hand should he return.
So the boy at the top is Tyler Swan. He’s 16 years old and he has powers he isn’t sure how to use. He erased his parents and his three siblings’ memories of him and he ran away, eventually stumbling onto a schoolhouse in New York that specialized in giving a home to superpowered kids without homes to return to.
The man in the bottom left corner is Edward Bazemore. He’s in charge of the Bazemore Academy, which is the school I mentioned earlier. He’s the father figure to all the students and loves them all dearly, no matter their powers or backgrounds. He’s a pretty chill guy, but he does have a tragic history.
The woman in the right corner is Victoria Bazemore, Edward’s wife. She’s the epitome of a “cool mom”. She’s feisty and treats all her kids with love and respect, and loves to play games with them. She might be super chill, but you don’t ever wanna get on her bad side. Ever. She’ll stab you.
And then we have this lovely little shit in the middle.
Their name is Trauma, or that’s just what they go by. They are the embodiment of the trauma Tyler faces in his future. They are chaotic evil and unable to feel love. I don’t know much about them yet, but they are bad news for Tyler.
Anye (ahn-yuh) was one of the Bazemore students who helped Edward and Tyler with the restoration/relocation after the Shun-el attack. She eventually joins Tyler when he forms the Anomalous, and works as their strategist.
Anye can see complex equations and make predictions based on the information she takes in around her. If someone plans to attack her, she can see where they will attack from, how fast they are moving, the intensity of their impact, where to move to avoid the attack, and the best way to counter attack within seconds. She can also read people’s emotions quite well, similar to Tyler. She’s like the Sherlock of the Anomalous. Her hero name is the Savant.
Anye has feelings for Tyler she isn’t sure what to do with. She can’t see the best way to approach him and understand him better, even with her powers. She wants him to value her, but she often feels like he casts her aside despite their history. She swallows her feelings in order to work though, and understands that saving people’s lives always comes before her feelings for her team leader.
I knew I wanted play around a bit with the connection between Tyler and Trauma, but I was unsure how to go about it or how Trauma even came to be.
I think I have an idea though.
Trauma is Delphine Redman, but manipulated and molded into this psychotic shell of a “human being”. Through cruel (sometimes magical) abuse, Shun-el created a perfect monster. That is the connection between Trauma and Tyler. Trauma was, at one point, Tyler’s only love.
They have no memories of Tyler or Bazemore at all, and hunger only for chaos and destruction. They see Shun-el as their father in some sick, twisted way. Delphine’s powers were also distorted as she became Trauma, reflecting her mental perversion.
The only way to save them is to kill them, and kill them quickly. They only have to find you once.
It was horrific. Watching her eyes widen in terror as her neck and face turned blue in hue. She clawed desperately at Shun-el’s hands in a feeble attempt to pry his fingers from her neck.
Don’t look.
He brought her face closer to his lips, barely brushing them against her cheek as he whispered something in his ear that made her cry out. Her wail was silenced though, nothing more than a choked, hoarse whimper.
Don’t look.
Her eyes darted to Tyler, full of tears and blood and crazed despair.
Don’t look.
Finally, her eyes lolled to the back of her head and she stopped struggling. Her body went limp. She was tossed to the ground like a ragdoll and lied still there.
she was an old adventure time oc from a fic/comic that i made and lost, and she’s gone through quite a bit of redesign, but she’s a witch now. or at least she’s trying to be.
She can create sigils that react to things in the real world (aka, an excuse for me to create a bunch of different symbols). There are three things she can write the sigils with; feathers, her own finger, or bones. Bones produce the strongest effects, but using her finger is easiest in a pinch.
