Hi so I'm not going to hide I'm a 110% in love with your Voltron insta au, il wanted to ask if you could tell us the different reaction of Lance and Keith (Keith in particular) meeting each other for the first time?

omg I haven’t thought about this au in so long and I’m so glad you sent me this ask!!!!

100% when Keith and Lance first met Keith had no fucking idea that it was going to happen

Lance knew in the sense that Allura told him that they were going to pick up her car from Shiro’s younger brother because it broke down earlier that week 

so obviously when Allura and Lance waltz into the garage Keith almost has a heart attack because there he is smelling like sweat and covered in car grease 

(because of this Lance wouldn’t stop calling Keith Grease Lightning and wouldn’t stop making Grease references for three months)

of course Lance and Allura look like they had just walked off the set of a photoshoot because some higher power (who he wholeheartedly believes is somehow Pidge but hasn't been able to collect any conclusive evidence yet) likes to see him suffer 

but its okay because Lance is totally into he unsurprisingly attractive grease gremlin that is Shiro’s brother (because according to Lance, anyone related to Shiro can’t be unattractive, its like against the laws of genetics)

when he saw them Keith panicked and tried to hide behind the car which he will 100% deny if asked about it but Allura saw it with her own two eyes called him out goddammit

Keith tripped over his own tool box while walking towards them and almost went face first into the concrete 

he still thinks about it at 3 am and a dies a little bit more inside every night out of embarrassment

however Lance thought it was endearing

The entire interaction probably lasted around three minutes but despite Lance spending most of the time complaining about how greasy Keith’s hair was and how bad the oil was for his skin it somehow ended in Keith taking pics of Lance on Keith’s suzuki cruiser as Allura laughed at him in the background

Keith was red the entire time 

but afterwards Lance complimented Keith on his photography skills so it was worth it

later that night when Lance tagged Keith in the photos Keith had never been more thankful for Pidge bullying him into making an account

to this day Shiro still has no idea how Lance managed to swing that because Keith hasn’t even let him near the damn bike and they’re bound by bLOOD

Lance claims its because of his radiant charm and dashing god looks 

Keith refuses to comment 

Bonus:

the next time they saw each other was when Pidge dragged Keith along with them and the others for their annual bowling night (It took him an entire week of mentally hyping himself up to prepare himself) 

After that night Lance made a big deal about how annual bowling night would have to be changed to annual laser tag night if Keith was gonna be hanging out with them because, despite Lance’s many attempts at sabotage, Keith had decimated them 

Laser tag night turned into pool night, which turned into poker night, which turned into go fish night, which turned into movie night because Keith won’t sop being good at everything the bastard

Keith didn’t find out until much later that it was Lance that suggested they invite Keith to join them in the first place

"We've been to Leloucheville a few times before but we didn't know about the lavender meadow! This was such an amazing discovery, thank you so much for the suggestion!

Spending the weekend there exploring the outskirts was a lot of fun! And I guess we have you to thank about not being caught by any traps, right? :)

they’re basically in this ‘will they? wont they?’ kind of situation where everyone knows that they like each other and they go on these not-dates and they’ll joke about being together or ppl mistaking them for a couple but they actually haven’t had a serious conversation about it or put a label on it yet (there will 100% be an instalment of when they’re finally officially together tho!!!!)

omg yes!! i have like two waiting to be posted and 4 more drawings im currently working on for it!

basic au hcs

everyone is basically still in university in this au 

allura is getting her masters in international and diplomatic studies and is currently fluent in over 10 languages

shiros getting a phd in applied mathematics and theoretical physics 

pidge is an undergrad double majoring in computer science and mechanical engineering 

lance is an undergrad majoring in astrophysics 

hunk is an undergrad majoring in mechanical engineering 

keith was majoring in astrophysics until he dropped out sophomore year and now works in a garage fixing bikes and cars 

lance and allura both run popular beauty/lifestyle instagrams and actually met through insta when lance shot her a message asking if she wanted to do a photoshoot with him 

they’ve been best friends ever since 

hunk and lance are childhood friends and it was hunk who introduced lance to pidge (who he met through their engineering courses bc how could he not talk to the small genius who had the gall to tell the professor they were wrong the first week of classes)

pidge and keith have been best friends ever since they met freshman year in one of their gen ed courses (turns out mutual hatred/annoyance is a great foundation for a lasting friendship)

shiro and allura 100% had a meet cute where shiro spilt his coffee all over her shoes in a campus coffee shop  

he felt rlly bad 

they were also v nice shoes 

allura promised it was fine and that he could repay her with a date this friday 

keith and pidge were actually there to witness this and they’d never seen shiro so red and nodding so fast he looked like one of pidge’s short-circuiting robots (when shiro denied this pidge sent him side by side video analysis from what she recorded on her phone earlier that day and the bot that fried itself the day before)

keith knew and was a follower of lance’s insta way before they even met or he even knew pidge was friends with him or that they had gone to the same uni and even had some freshman classes together 

pidge was 100% aware the second she met hunks loud mouthed roommate that he was the same guy she caught keith stalking on insta multiple times every week (the only reason he even has one is bc pidge convinced him to get one back in freshman yr bc there was no point of posting embarrassing/stupid pics of ur friend if said friend wasnt going to see them)

shiro never told him that his gfs best friend was the same lance either 

keith is surrounded by traitors 

everyone knows about this but lance
