A strategy for creatives who share art online that has helped me tremendously:

step 1: finish art

step 2: share w/ small peer group for immediate "good job"s / positive feedback

step 3: wait a week or more then post it online. Ideally by scheduling it in advance.

After the week buffer, I'm usually already excited about my next project, so I tend to care a lot less about how the first is received on social media. No notes? No worries, we'll keep moving forward

everyday you go on tik tok/twitter there’s women shitting on feminism and feminists for (indirectly) pushing girls into sex work and only fans by acting like prostitution is glamorous and liberating.

which they have every right to be upset about because the failed reclamation of sex work to “own” men who called women sluts or disrespected strippers, etc; was bound to happen.

pushing girls into the arms of random men who get to use their body and telling them to tell themselves it’s empowering cause they get paid to have sex/be sexualized would obviously be seen by any smart adult/person as groomy and fucking idiotic.

the man still has the power. but the people who were against that were labeled terfs and swerfs, for yk just believing in a feminism that didn’t seek to uphold/diversify/rename or reclaim misogyny but abolish it.
