- Brunhilde doesn't HESITAITE to choose you as one of her champions, seeing as you're both demi-gods who come from a warrior race of women, I can see you and her honestly having a lot in common together.

- But yeah, no, Diana's whole thing is that she wants to save the world of man so even of Brunhilde didn't choose her, you would have still chosen to fight because it was your duty.

- So Wonder Woman has multiple origins: Her original one being that she was born from clay by her mother but there are versions she has a dad which kinda switches between Hades and Zeus. Zeus will be your father in this case because I genuinely like the idea of him blowing his fucking gasket when he sees you enter in the side of humanity.

- "YOU KNOW HER, YOU LOVE HER: LADIES AND GENTLEGODS, GIVE IT UP FOR THE AMAZONIAN PRINCESS AND SAVIOR OF MAN: (Y/N)!!!"

- Ares and Wonder Woman have so much beef in the comics so you and him definetly don't see eye to eye now. In fact, Ares would fight you himself if he could but like, you're also kinda scary when you're mad.

- Zeus and Poseidon are literally about to blow a fucking gasket when they see you. Zeus is more subtle as usual as he's all: "Oh, well she's always been the black sheep of the family!" but in reality, he feels deeply betrayed. Poseidon isn't surprised honestly, he genuinely believes you should have grown up with the Olympians instead of on Themyscira because then maybe you'd learn to look down on those pathetic humans instead of protecting them.

- Tbh, Poseidon does have a bit of a soft spot for you as his niece because you're the only one whose ever DARED to back talk him despite knowing his power. He wishes your mother, Hippolyta, wasn't such a stubborn woman. I can totally see moments when you're absolutely destroying Gods and Poseidon just smiling proudly at you but then quickly scowling so no one can see him.

- However the Greek Gods who explicitly still care for you are definetly Hermes, Hercules, and Aphrodite.

- Aphrodite, being your big sister, absolutely adores you even if you two aren't on the same side. She smiles when she sees you and if she can, she will try to catch you in the hallways and pull you into a hug, meanwhile you're kinda suffocating in her bosom. She compliments you on what a strong and beautiful woman you've become, the only reason she isn't upset with you for "betraying" the family is because...well, you've always been like that. It's just nice to see you again♡

-As for Hercules, you both are Demi gods and while you acknowledge humanities faults, you welcomed him with open arms and appreciate his dedication. You two might not be bound by blood but the way you carry each other's ideals and respect and tease each other, its very clear you two have an unbreakable bond.

- Hermes adored you since you were born. Despite Themyscira's laws that men weren't allowed on the island, he was a God, and would happily come and see you to play with you. Taking on a big brother role in your life, he smiles softly as you glare at your father and he thinks you're just as cute as when you were a little toddler struggling to walk on the sandy beach coast of your island.

- As for the human side, they're all in literal wonder of you...which makes sense regarding your hero alias, but when they watched you at work: you impressed everyone while Brunhilde smiled at you and it pissed Zeus off even more when you both shook hands and sent him smug smirks on your faces.

Enemies/People Who Dislike You:

- Ares is a huge hater as I stated before, maybe you humiliated him in the past in front of Zeus, or maybe it was that one time you stole his helmet in a fight and became the New Goddess of War for a while but either way: you and him should never be in the same room together because not even the Gods can predict that disaster.

- Loki thought the rope thing was kinda hot but found out the hard way WHY it was called the Lasso of Truth. Even when he is shaped shifted, he will revert to his normal form if you ever catch him with it AND YOU ALWAYS FUCKING DO. He also can't even try and mislead you by telling you half truths because he just blurts out the truth right away. Everyone absolutely adores you for it, ngl since Loki doesn't even bother pulling tricks when you're around and when he sees you fight for humanity, he throws a huge tantrum...He still finds the rope thing hot tho...

- Zeus. He has conflicted feelings for you, he does love you but he wishes you wouldn't always go against his wishes...though he supposes thats what he gets for having your mother raise you instead of him. You show him respect but you clearly harbour bitter feelings for him betraying your trust and wanting to wipe out humanity and he understands that. It still doesn't give you the right to laugh about him with Brunhilde and he'll be sure to get you back for it.

Allies/Friends Who Trust You:

- Brunhilde is honestly a good friend of yours, I genuinely think she sees you the same way she sees Hercules but she relates to you a little more. (The Valkyries and Amazon's would have martinis on the beaches of Themyscira, fight me on that-)

- Shiva, honestly. He likes that you're strict but you can definetly be fun and silly in your own way. You honestly remind him of Rudra, who he totally tries to set you up with so because you two really have a lot in common!

- Obviously Hercules, Hermes, and Aphrodite but also: Poseidon, surprisingly...sometimes. Again, he does soften a bit when it comes to you and he wonders if you're simply stubborn and brave or stubborn and stupid. You are his favorite niece but also, the one that causes him to roll his eyes the most.

- Honestly, all of the Valkyries. When you heard about Brunhilde and her Völundr's, you knew that it was clever but also: that you couldn't just stand to let your fellow sisters in battle fall, the odds being against them. Also, the will all hug you and tackle you to the ground.

- Sasaki Kojiro is a human you take a liking too, he reminds you of a friend whose clad in all black...except he's more cheerful and happy and might have lost in life, but still: he never gives up. You admire those skills in a human and he gets all shy and flustered when you compliment him but I can totally see the both of you practicing sword fights and even moments where he beats you, which you're proud of him for doing, honestly.

- Adam. He genuinely just is the dad Zeus never was, even though you're not one of his own children, he'll fight like you are. Tbh, the only man that deserves to set foot in Themyscira and the other Amazon's would agree. Eve also gossiping with your Hippolyta in the crowd and complimenting her on raising such a wonderful daughter and they talk about mom things.

Admirers/Characters Who Have a Crush on You:

- Thor, just straight up. Since you're a fellow immortal, you two have somewhat known each other, you didn't really care much for the godly affairs so it wasn't often, but he's had the biggest crush on you. When he saw you fight so fearlessly in the crowd, those feelings came back 10 fold. Definetly wants to fight you because that's his way of flirting. Zeus and Odin 100% want to pair you two together to create an official alliance and while Thor wants you to choose him out of your own volition, he will suggest that it is a good idea.

- Jack the Ripper. HE HAS BISEXUAL PANIC BECAUSE HERCULES WAS ALREADY SOKIND TO HIM BUT YOU?? OH, YOU'RE TRULY DESERVING OF THE TITLE OF GODDESS, your color is so gorgeous; filled with such love and passion. After his battle, after he killed Hercules, he is ashamed to face you. But, amazingly, you do not look at him in disgust or shame. You kneel down and gently hold his face, you are in mourning, but you still kiss his head gently and tell him: "You fought well. Rest." and he just short circuits as you begin to carry him.

- BUDDHA, BABY. He loves how serious you are but also, that you can be pretty goofy honestly. Also loves how you stand up to Zeus constantly. Not to mention he certainly has a thing for strong women. But also, he finds your work inspiring, trying to guide humanity to a better life of enlightment. HIPPOLYTA ALSO TRYING TO SET YOU TWO UP BECAUSE SHE'S A COOL MOM AND SHE'S ALL: "You know, that Buddha has been staring at you~" and you have to be all: "MOTHER!" And he walks over to you and offers you a snack and you take it. Zeus hates him because he thinks Buddha would be a "bad influence" on you.

ok thinking about the red team players again and a billion people have probs said the same thing but these r my thoughts

on the first day looking at this team they looked absolutely hopeless even ignoring half the team being absent

(not a green or blue viewer so correct me if im wrong on this, i am but an ignorant red viewer)

green teams main pattern seems to be their pvp players with etoiles, fit and roier as well as alot of just generally pvp competent players obviously with a few outliers of course

blue teams main pattern then seems to be game knowledge and general skill with pierre, bad, tubbo and pac once again with a few outliers

and red teams main pattern was definitely not as obvious with most of the players both not being knowledgeable or pvp skilled (with few outliers OBVS)

whiicch on first day especially made red team look totally hopeless with very little pvp skill and knowledge it looked like there was nooo waythey would ever be able to beat the other two teams

BUT from a day 5(is it day 5 i forgor) perspective after two wins tooo meeee it looks like reds main strength by team design was their already established bonds and connections both in game AND out of game even the non active players (OBVIOUSLY THERE R OUTLIERS!!!!!!)

jaiden, foosh, baghera, slime, cellbit and phil all having hung out together loads in the main island and all getting along pretty well

felps. (hes felps)

vegetta and foosh r egg parents and gay together and vegetta and willy being irl friends

wilbur being very close to phil and close to slime

outliers to this being carre and german who havent logged on much ( but i also dont know enough about either of them so i may be just not knowing things lol)

so imo the red teams strength was the already established bond most of the players had which was strengthened on day one for the present players. which obviously on day one was pretty useless but its obvious now it has been absolutely crucial in red teams recent successes and has been the downfall in the other two teams

(THIS IS NOT ME SAYING THE OTHER TEAMS DONT HAVE PRE-ESTABLISHED BONDS! and i am not saying red does not have pvp skilled and knowledgeable players!!!!!)

I think I'm gonna call it "Write myself out of the history books" a line from All Time Low to match the rest of my 'Dropping Gojo into fandoms he didn't ask to be in' works 😂

His name is Soren and let's just pretend its Valyrian when in actuality it's just one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters (I feel like Gojo would appreciate that though, prolly a Soren stan himself lol)

His dragon hatches in his crib and idk I headcanon that Rhaenyra would wait to let him name it himself because she probably did the same with Syrax? But then 2 yr-old Gojo is like 'her name is Blue Eyes White Dragon' and Rheanyra is like 'wtf no' and also, this is why you shouldn't let kids name their own damn dragons. Rhaenyra refuses to let him name his dragon after what she doesn't realize is a Yu-gi-oh card, and in they settle for Sylvion, which she thinks is just some obscure Valyrian word/reference his 'Uncle' Daemon taught him, but is in fact a Pokemon that bears striking resemblance to his dragon. It's one of Dreamfyre's eggs, mostly bright white, with blue accents and some slight pink in the membranes, hence, Sylvion. Which is also Gojo's favorite pokemon, so he's two for two with references in this life.

He knows damn well that Daemon is not his Uncle, and they (Rhaenyra, Daemon, Laenor) all know he knows even if they collectively don't acknowledge it. He's Daemon and Rhaenyra's 'accidental brothel baby' that she had to get shotgun wedding'd to Laenor for, which is why he's much older than canon-Jace.

The age gaps are: Satoru/Soren (0), Aegon (+2), Helaena (-1), Aemond (-2), Jace (-3), Luke (-4) idk if Joff or Daeron will be in this.

Aegon is in love with him literally at first sight. He's going to PINE FOREVER. Like so much angst when he realizes he doesn't just adore his nephew in a purely platonic sense - which his mother/grandfather already dislike - but is in fact homosexually and audaciously in love with him lol. He definitely tries to fuck himself out of his own gayness, which absolutely does not work, esp when he starts ending up gravitating to regular female whores to male whores who all bear a striking resemblance to his nephew.

Does Gojo know? Hmm yes but not really. It doesn't even cross his mind even though he is also very gay, and also knows incest is casually a normal thing in the Valyrian family. But to him, Aegon is his uncle, and also a man in a 'don't say gay' world, so he kind of intentionally doesn't look too deeply into it. He does notice Egg is very attached to him, but he's not sure how much of that is familial and platonic and just Egg's very handsy personality versus romantic. They played a lot together as kids, slept in the same bed etc back when they were young enough it didn't mean anything, and obviously Gojo never felt that way about what he thought was a 'cute sticky dumpling of a kid who thinks he hung the moon' so it'll be a longgg and difficult shift for him to see Egg in any other way.

Aemond worships him in a strictly platonic sense that totally feeds his god complex. Gojo is literally the warrior reborn to him. He's a one man army and everyone knows it and he's so out of any mortal's league instead of being jealous about it Aemond just straight up adores him like a god. Daemon and Laena don't get together in this fic (RIP Baela and Rhaena) so Laena is still alive and has Vhagar, so idk maybe Aemond has Vermithor.

On a related note, everyone worships him as a god (or a Valyrian devil, *ahem* Hightowers *ahem*) bc to them he may as well be one. He has all his OG powers, he's invincible and untouchable and literally unstoppable. He achieves infamy the world over during Stepstones Round 2 where he absolutely obliterates an entire army and a few islands besides. He straight up asks his 'grandfather' Corlys if he should just eradicate the whole island chain and permanently solve the problem. Of course, the story gets convoluted with the whole medieval 'he said she said' chain of communication so there are plenty of non-believers still. LOL jokes on them.

He adores Rhaenyra. Like he likes Laenor a lot, and is partial to his little brothers (yes Jace and Luke exist, idk if they're Laenor's or Daemon's yet tho. They would't be Harwins bc Rhaenyra took one look at Gojo and was like 'shit he's 100% Valyrian its gonna look weird as hell if his siblings dont look like him at all') and has a soft spot for his 'Uncle' Daemon, but the reason he even bothers to stick around and not just fuck off to Essos to raise his own empire is because of her. I headcanon Gojo to have zero relationship with his parents in JJK - which unfortunately is expected from 'the patriarch' aka his father, but deeply hurt him in regards to his mother, who also cared nothing for him. Yes total double standard, but that's patriarchy for you. Anyway Rhaenyra is the opposite - she cherishes him from day 1, and whether that's because she truly loved him at first sight or just loved the idea of a child of hers and Daemon's who knows. But she doted on him and took care of him in a way anomalous for mother's in Westeros, and Gojo always took note of that. He'd burn the world for her - or in this instance, cower it into submission so she can have her throne in peace.

He doesn't mind playing the 'radiant prince' for her, being the faultless and impossibly perfect heir to the throne, because he knows it strengthens her claim immeasurably when his achievements so obviously outshine her direct competitor (Egg, who in fact does not give a shite about the throne and just wants to run away on his dragon with Soren). He even quietly submits himself to the idea of taking a wife because he knows that's also expected of him, although he plans on copying Laenor and having some threesome magic going on. Will that have to come to pass though? Hmm idk yet

THERE WILL BE ZOMBIES. No Night King, but I absolutely believe that Gojo accidentally would become the Prince who was Promised. His birth once again upsets the balance of yet another world, and shifts events into motion that would have laid dormant otherwise. Does he bring magic back into world with his birth? That would be interesting. Idk yet tho.

what are some shows you’re really enjoying right now? i feel like everything i was watching has finished up and i’m in a rut trying to decide what to start next.

Oo great question, right now I am only watching three shows, and I am enjoying all of them, they are:

23.5 Degrees (YouTube or Netflix with VPN)- We're three episodes in and it has been so cute and funny, it's high school but it also gave me weird girls of a number of varieties so I am having the time of my motherfucking life with this show so far!

Love is Better the Second Time Around (GagaOoLala)- Two-thirds of the way through this series and it is vying for a 10/10 rating for me at the moment. It's a second chance romance that has actually allowed it's adult characters to have an adult relationship with one another before they've even decided to date.

Unknown (YouTube, Viki, Yoku) We're halfway through the show and it has been blowing me away. This is a difficult piece in terms of subject matter both from a trauma perspective and from a relationship perspective since it is about two brothers falling in love, but it has been handling the material extremely seriously and it's got lots of good layers going on.

While I was on the small live watch list, I decided to play catch up with some shows that are already completed and just recently binge watched three shows and enjoyed them all:

Sleep With Me (YouTube and GagaOoLala) A very short watch, only like 2.5 hours total, this is a GL out of the Phillipines about two disabled women who enter a relationship. It is everything Last Twilight wishes that it could be and I very much enjoyed all the points it made around visible and invisible disabilities. Also, the women in this show are all stunning and I am in love with all of them. A mutual of mine just finished watching it and that inspired me to watch it and now I am trying to force it upon @solitaryandwandering

Ghost Host, Ghost House (YouTube) This show had one of my favorite sex scenes of all time, I guess it was less the sex scene itself and honestly much more of the foreplay leading up to them actually fucking, when they are putting feelers out. Kevin's legs are a trap and Pluem really was fighting for his life not to stare too hard. I agree with @bengiyo I really love how gay these two characters are. Great piece about grief, but it does have ghosts in it, so if you watch it keep in mind that there is some sad content towards the end of the show.

DNA Says Love You (Viki, IQIYI) Okay so I had some difficulty with how this show decided to use a lot of its time but Amber is one of my favorite character now, and I had to stop myself from rewatching this show the day after finishing it just so I could get more time with him. Would recommend for a queer character we rarely see in media.

Also, on a completely different note, I just finished watching Black Sails for the first time and it was fucking incredible and I would highly recommend this political Treasure Island prologue pirate show.

i have a Lot of favourites (mainly alenoah centric cuz im so so biased) but my top favourite has got to be stakes, its by @/bachelorpxrty, if u havent heard of it then basically alejandro is a vampire and noah is a part-time vampire hunter, full time Loser and i love it so much its a fic on ao3 and the creator made a bunch of art too its all awesome ^_^

Ancient Paganism on the Islands of early Modern Ireland

The islands of Inishkea (Inis Cé) also known as Inis Geidhe or Inish Gay are a pair of islands off the coast of Belmullet, County Mayo. One of the most remote parts of Ireland. These areas have a lot of history. With habitation evident in both Neolithic and early Christian eras. The island is said, in the Irish Version of the Historia Britonum to have been occupied by a single Crane since the beginning of the world, and is named after an obscure female saint from around circa 800 AD.

The evidence for pagan or pagan like practice's in Inishkea comes from a series of accounts. 

Protestant Robert Jocelyn in 1851 described the practices of the island in his book “Progress of the Reformation in Ireland – Extracts from a series of letters written from the West of Ireland to a friend in England, in September 1851” as:

“..save during the few and necessarily short visits of the clergyman of the parish, seldom have they heard of eternal life as the free gift of God through Jesus Christ, and even these visits were unprofitable from their total ignorance of English... their worship consists in occasional meetings at their chief’s house, with visits to a holy well, called in their native tongue, Derivla... Here the absence of religion is filled with the open practice of Pagan idolatry... In the South Island, in the house of a man named Monigan, a stone idol, called in the Irish ‘Neevougi’ has been from time immemorial religiously preserved and worshipped. This god in appearance resembles a thick roll of home-spun flannel, which arises from the custom of dedicating a dress of that material to it, whenever its aid is sought; this is sewed on by an old woman, its priestess, whose peculiar care it is”

Caesar Otway in his 1841 book “Sketches in Erris and Tyrawly” describes the practice's as:

“… they have what is better called by some the Neevoge or as others pronounce it Knaveen; both mean the ‘little saint’, and I prefer the latter pronunciation which may not be a bad derivation for the English word knave, Latin gnavus, a knowing fellow. For the Knaveen of Inniskea must be a knowing one indeed, for by his instrumentality, the natives consider they can raise or allay a tempest, raise a storm when a ship nears the island, and so they may get in a wreck or allay it when their own boats are out at sea in a gale of wind. The Knaveen is a stone image of the rudest construction, attired in an undyed flannel dress which is every New Year’s Day renewed”

Caesar later describes how a pirate smashed the idol, but local people found the pieces and wrapped them together in cloth. 

Description:

Both accounts describe a Naomhóg, a stone idol wrapped in flannel. The stone is said to have been small, weighing 2-3 pounds, been greenish and the size and shape of a smoothing iron (the precursor to the modern iron)

Abilities:

The idols power is said to have been able to bring abundance in the form of wrecked ship landings and growing potatoes, heal the sick. protect from weather, quell fire, raise winds. 

Worship:

The people of the island were said to wrap the idol in a flannel, varying in colour but usually depicted as red, which was replaced each year. It was sewn by an older woman, described as a priestess. The people of the island were said to kiss the idol in thanks. The idol usual resided in the wall of the house of the chief. The idol was brought along of certain journeys for protection, The people were also to have worshipped at a holy well nearby though the relation to the idol is unsaid.

Fate of the idol:

The Naomhóg was broken by pirates but ultimately pieced and bound together. The idol supposedly was thrown into Portavally harbour by a catholic priest to get rid of it. 

Pagan?

Idols such as Ralaghan Man, the Boa island statue and Corleck Head are pre-Christian objects thought to be used for ritual purposes. This along with the distinctly pagan powers over earth, sea and sky, and its dedicated worship suggest a pre catholic origin. Worth noting is the word “naomh” meaning saint is one of the few Irish word relating to religion to not come from Latin and instead from proto-celtic. The figure, which is described as feminine could possibly related to a pre christian St. Geidh represented by a Crane.  

Christian?

The idea of pagans on Inishkea is not without fault though. The island was home to a church dedicated to St. Colmcille, with evidence of monastery life from 540 AD. This is at odds with the supposed ancient paganism. Later accounts also suggest that the people of the island believed that the idol was from said church. There were also efforts to claim that the idol was anything Christian related from a cross to a broken piece of a jesus statue. 

Possibilities: 

Misinterpretation:

It is hardly a secret that protestants from the UK heavily looked down upon the catholic practices of Ireland and this may have been viewed as heathenry. Post famine catholic church also made an effort to ensure practices lined up with Rome, making them view the practices as unfavourable. 

They Forgot:

The islands remote position may have made it so that when the catholic centre collapsed, the people were left isolated and thus had to practise their religion from what they knew, which eventually evolved into the worship of an item associated with a saint. 

A Snapshot In Time:

The idol may very well be from a time when newer catholic traditions were introduced, as we know that the church is from an era where pagans were still common, and as such merged local practices, the concept of a female guardian of winds being brought into a christian perceptive as a saint . Life in the monastery may very well have involved pagan elements that were never corrected due to the rural location, this merged christian/pagan practice may very well have contiuned onto the modern(ish) day, with increasing yet brief christainisation from interlopers. This is personally what I think is most likely.
