How we wanted to become pretty in the past. How we were hurt by others. And even how we wanted to be born anew. All of our memories. Our lives were so alike.

Park Yeon-jin
Tumblr media
Yeonjin loved it when you begged. You simply terrfic when you were on your knees, pleading for her to spare you from any plans that she had in store. The way your bottom lip would tremble and the way your cheeks would shine from the tears that were streaming down them, Yeonjin simply could not get enough of it.
It was not often that Yeonjin would get you on her own, especially since the others loved following her lead when it came to her games, but Yeonjin could not deny the excitement that sparked through her when she would corner you into a room all on your own, nobody else to bear witness to the games that she intended to play with you.
When Yeonjin had overheard that you were in charge of sorting and cleaning the gym sports equipment in the later afternoon after your extra lessons, Yeonjin simply could not pass up the chance to be able to corner you on your own. It has been a small while since it was just the two of you, and she simply missed the peacefulness that came with it. She didn’t have to hear Jaejun’s or Myeong-oh’s crude remarks about your body, she did need to hear Sara’s curses about your face, and she most certainly did not need to hear the shrill laughter of Hyejeong whenever Yeonjin would play with you.
It was special when it was just you and Yeonjin. It was a lot more intimate and Yeonjin preferred it that way. It was just you and her locked up in your own little bubble, completely ignorant of the outside world because the two of you were the only person who was crucial to the other in that very moment. Being the only one on your mind excited Yeonjin, it thrilled her and she is quite certain she has made it obvious to you in private that she adores your presence.
She has told you many times before that she adores your cries.
Yeonjin’s name repeatedly left your lips in pathetic whimpers as you cowered against the gym equipment storeroom wall, becoming completely submissive at her very presence as she took slow steps towards you, her lips curling into a smile as she continued to listen to you. The storeroom was not that big to begin with, so there was hardly any space in the first place for you to try create a distance between you and Yeonjin. Yeonjin had already blocked off the door, giving you no chance to go for a wild dash for freedom because it would only mean you would have to dive headfirst into Yeonjin, and past experiences have reminded you that once Yeonjin gets a hold of you, she will never let go.
Dark glee was bubbling up within Yeonjin as she continued to walk towards you, still not saying a word aside from your name that she had uttered when she first entered the storeroom. You had whipped around so fast, eyes wide in terror, and the excitement within Yeonjin simply bubbled over. She was already anticipating your scared reaction, your complete submission, and as she got closer to you, you finally started to beg, just like she want.
“Please Yeonjin...I-I promise that I w-won’t say anything...please...just please...”
You didn’t even know what you were begging for, but Yeonjin knew that you were begging her to stop but that was the last thing that she was going to do. She had only just arrived and the two of you have barely bonded yet. She had much more plans for the two of you. After all, this gym was such a special place to the two of you, most particularly to Yeonjin in more ways than one.
A chuckle left Yeonjin’s lips as she finally reached you, your body already on slumped on the floor, on your knees, completely powerless to Yeonjin as she stood over you like a queen would over a peasant. Your cheeks were shining beautifully with tears, the little rivulets traveling down your skin until they dripped off your jaw and chin, making the contours of yours face far more obvious than before.
It was beautiful.
Feeling the need to be closer to you, Yeonjin slowly crouched down to her haunches so that she was directly in front of you and at your level. Her close proximity to you immediately made you flinch, but not as violently as you did when she reached out and cupped your cheek, her lips curling wider than before as she brushed her thumb tauntingly against your cheekbone, immediately catching a teardrop.
“Are you scared?” She asked sweetly, her thumb not stopping its brushing movements as she waited for your answer.
You immediately froze at the question. No matter what answer you have Yeonjin, you knew that it would have the same effect and Yeonjin knew that you knew that. Either way, Yeonjin was going to have fun with you, and your answer would determine the degree of Yeonjin’s fun.
Your bottom lip continued to tremble, uncertainty and frustration obvious on your face. Yeonjin couldn’t help but giggle at it, the sound making you tense immediately, your jaw clenching against her hand despite her soft touches. Instead of growing annoyed by your lack of an answer, the silence instead made Yeonjin even more delighted. Feeling the need to be closer, Yeonjin closed the distance between the two of you until her lips were pressed against your cheek, the taste of salt meeting her tongue as she gave your skin a kitten lick after giving you a soft kiss.
The hand on your cheek moved until her fingers were curling around the base of your head, her fingers weaving into your head as she steadily increased her grip on you, eventually pulling you towards her until the two of the you were practically nose to nose. She could smell the perfume that you were wearing. Jasmine, her favorite. Such a sweet, subtle scent, perfect for somebody like you.
“You don’t need to be scared...as long as you always say yes to me.”
Yeonjin closed her eyes briefly to revel in your close proximity, your sweet perfume filling her nose while the sensation of your breath tickling her lips as you breathed shakily in front of her. You were still so tense, Yeonjin could feel it through the grip that she had on your neck and head, but it did not bother her as much as it should. You were close and with her, it was already better than a few minutes ago. Yeonjin opened her eyes again and smirked at the terror-filled eyes that were staring at her as she lovingly scanned your face, becoming mesmerized by its gorgeousness.
“So tell me...are your mine?”
It was obvious to everyone in school. Y/N L/N was Park Yeonjin’s. While it was known fact that you were a ‘member’ of her group, one did not really know the true nature of the relationship between you and Yeonjin. Everyone knew that you were practically her favorite toy to play with. No one dared to stop her because they knew that it would only turn out worse for them. Yeonjin was untouchable at school, just as she was outside of it.
Even her friends knew better than to touch her without her permission. Any games that they did play with you was in the presence of Yeonjin. They did not go as far as they did with all their previous toys before. Yeonjin liked your skin, she did not want to mar it permanently in anyway. Although Yeonjin has grown fond of leaving bruises on you as of late, and not simply the ones caused by a blow to the body.
Your neck was bare from any bruises at all, something Yeonjin intended to rectify, but only after she heard your confirmation. You were still staring at her with your terror-filled eyes, not bothering to give her the answer she wanted. So Yeonjin suddenly tightened her grip on your neck, her fingers tugging at your strands of hair, making a sharp sting of pain shoot to your head. You then finally nodded to her, but it was not enough for Yeonjin. She leaned closer towards you, her other hand moving to your knee to support her waist as she balanced herself in front of you on her knees, finally matching your position.
“Say it, I want to hear it.” She ordered, her words practically whipped against your lips with Yeonjin’s obvious demand for the phrase she wanted to her from your lips. Your lips teasingly trembled as you opened them, hesitating for a few moments before finally moving.
“I’m yours.”
Delight filled Yeonjin, her fingers loosening their grip after the words left your lips, turning more loving as she teasinly dug her fingers in your hair to secure her hand’s place in it. She licked her lips before tugging you closer until your lips were brushing against hers.
“Good.”
And then she pressed them fully against your own, sealing the confirmation with a kiss, the first of many more.
Jeon Jae-jun
Tumblr media
Jaejun has never been able to not stare at you, especially when you wore the shortest of shorts with your hair tied up so high that is exposed your delicate neck. From his side of the gym, Jaejun could not take his eyes off you as you ran around the basketball court with the others girls for sports class. He noticed Yeonjin and the others lingering back in the group of girls, not at all bothered to participate properly in the lesson, the opposite of you as you sincerely looked like you were trying your best.
That was the weird thing about you, you always tried your best even though it hardly gave any good results. You weren’t the fastest girl in the years, not even in the school, but in sports class you always trained as hard as one of the talented track athletes would. Academics were more your specialty and he has seen how hard you try with your studies, being one of the top students in the year.
You were not that bad-looking either. While he could only see you in black and white, it did not mean that he was blind to your looks. You were pretty, the type of pretty that you didn’t even realize. Jaejun and the other guys in the year have all commented on your looks more than a dozen times, Jaejun more so since you have caught his eye ever since you transferred to their school. Jaejun couldn’t help but be taken by you at first sight. He still remembered the way you bowed your head in greeting, a nervous smile on your face as you lifted your head to gaze at all of them. You were pretty and everyone could agree with the statement, although it quickly become a double edged sword for you in more ways than one.
Jaejun had turned his head away from you for a few minutes to answer a question that one of his classmates had asked him before suddenly snapping his head back when he heard you let out a pained scream. You were on the floor of the basketball court, clutching your ankle while all the other female students clustered around you, all doing nothing but staring at you as you cried in obvious pain.
Shock and worry immediately shot through Jaejun and he found himself suddenly walking towards the female group, eyes locked on your slouched form as you continued to clutch at your ankle. It was only when he was a few meters away from you did he hear Yeonjin speak, fake concern obvious in her voice.
“Gosh Y/N, are you okay? You took such a nasty fall! Did you trip over yourself?”
The snickered laughs of Sara and Hyejeong after Yeonjin’s words immediately made Jaejun narrow his eyes. Of course it was Yeonjin, he shouldn’t even be surprised.
When Jaejun said that your looks was a double-edged sword in more ways than one, he meant that it was a double-edged sword in terms of Yeonjin’s opinion of you. While he and Yeonjin had some sort of relationship going on, it kind of changed after you transferred to their school. For some kind of reason, Jaejun was not interested in playing around with Yeonjin anymore. She was no fun anymore. He doesn’t know the exact reason, but he just knew when he was with Yeonjin, he pictured you in her place,
And of course Yeonjin did not like it when he had let it slip the one day about how much prettier you were out of all the girls in the year, including Yeonjin.
Guess Jaejun was kinda to blame for your fall from social grace to one of the new toys for their group. Jaejun was not into it at first, especially since it was not the way he wanted to interact with you, but he simply relented because Yeonjin would only make things worse for you if he went against her. She was a selfish bitch who did not deal with jealousy well, even though she denied it every time. He didn’t get what the fuck her problem was, but it was always with you, and instances like now were things that really pissed him off. Yeonjin was a part of you falling, he just knew it.
The gym coach was already by your side by the time Jaejun arrived by the group, checking out your ankle while you were still whimpering in pain. His heart pinched slightly at the sound of it but he did not show much emotion as he pushed past the girls standing around you, trying to get closer. You still didn’t notice him.
“-twisted or badly sprained. We need to get you to the nurse.” Jaejun heard the gym coach say, experimentally squeezing your ankle only to make you squeak in pain before grabbing at your ankle again.
There was no way that you would be able to walk on it. Even from his side he could see that it was swelling up. No chance would you be able to make it there in one piece.
“...I’ll take her.” Jaejun suddenly said, pushing past the final line of girls to finally step foot into your inner circle. Your head immediately whipped around to face him, your eyes widening in shock with a hint of fear as you locked eyes with him.
He could not blame you for the reaction. Jaejun was equally as responsible for the suffering you have had at their school as Yeonjin was. While he did not participate much in Yeonjin’s games with you, he did not stop them. He simply watched and waited for Yeonjin to stop working out her jealousy on you before tossing you out like the trash the group believed you to be. But it was all an act. He did not really mean it.
If he wanted to be honest, he was probably the nicest out of all of them. He has at least stopped Yeonjin from using her hair curler on you. That was probably the only first time he publicly opposed her in front of the others. He remembered how pissed she got, she almost decided to take out on you with the damn thing, but then he stopped her from grabbing it and tossing it against the floor until it broke. He liked your skin and he didn’t want her to make it ugly. He liked his girl’s skin perfect after all.
“N-No it’s okay. I can walk.” You protested, attempting to stand up on your own only to crumble back down when your ankle could not support your weight. Jaejun scoffed.
“Yeah right.” He said before suddenly grabbing you from under your arms and hoisting you up to your feet, turning you around once you were standing before suddenly scooping you up in his arms like a princess bride. The girls around them immediately squealed excitedly at his action.
“Hold on Jaejun, it would be best for one of us to take her. You know, since we will be all girls.” Yeonjin suddenly said, stepping forward past the others girls to stand in front of Jaejun and you with arms crossed, an almost concerned look on her face which fooled others but did not fool Jaejun. He knew that Yeonjin was raging on the inside at his actions, but in this moment, he did not care.
“I’m just carrying her. No big deal.” Jaejun said, shrugging his shoulders before taking a step forwards with you in his arms, your hands digging into his shirt subconsciously, either out of fear or for safety, he had no idea. He hoped it was the latter.
“Don’t be all macho Jaejun. Give her to Sara and Hyejeong, we’ll take her to the nurse.” Yeonjin said, stepping in front Jaejun again and this time reaching out to grab you by the arm. But Jaejun stepped back and shot her a glare.
“I said it’s no big deal.” He snapped before turning to the gym coach. “I’ll be taking her now.”
Jaejun didn’t even bother to listen to the gym coach’s response as he started walking away from the group and towards the gym doors, purposefully ignoring the teasing catcalls that came from the boy students, Myeong-oh being the loudest out of all of them.
Asshole.
You didn’t say a word as Jaejun started carrying you to the nurse’s office, your hands still grabbing fistfuls of his shirt despite being away from imminent danger in the form of Park Yeonjin. Jaejun wasn’t sure if he liked the silence or not, especially not when his hands were conveniently placed near your chest and on your legs. Suddenly filled with the urge, Jaejun gave a squeeze to your leg that he was holding, making you gasp in surprise.
“You know usually a girl would thank her prince charming for saving her from the evil bitch.” He said, cocking his head at you with a slight grin as you turned to look at him with wide eyed. He gave your leg a squeeze again, making you gasp for the second time before you went to grab at his hand, unable to make him let go.
“I...I...”
“You know, I will take a kiss in the form of thanks.” He said, stopping in his footsteps to give you his full attention, anticipating building up within his body as he imagined what the feeling of your lips would feel against yours.
“I...n-no.” You protested, making Jaejun let out a disappointed groan, the anticipation falling in his stomach like a rock in a pond.
“Aw come on, it is the least that you can do for me.”
“I-I didn’t need your-”
“Bullshit.” Jaejun suddenly said, the grip on your leg tightening as he continued to stare at you. “You are lucky I am the one that decided to take you. Yeonjin would have done a little detour.”
Jaejun knew how Yeonjin operated, hence why he did not allow any room for argument for him to be the one to take you to the nurse. Yeonjin would have done something to make things worse for you, along with Sara and Hyejeong. Since he would not have been there with them, he can only imagine the permanent damage that Yeonjin would have done to you. No chance was he gonna give Yeonjin that opportunity.
And it seemed to dawn on you on the possibility he had saved you from. You clenched and unclenched your fists on his shirt, making him grin as he leaned into your space, making you snap your head back when you noticed his sudden approach. He smirked at you.
“Maybe not now, but you owe me a kiss. I will claim it from you soon.”
Jaejun had very intention to claim that kiss, but first he is going to make sure that you can walk again. So he pulled his face away from yours and continued his way to the nurse’s office, a grin fixed on his face the entire time much to your shock and terror.
Lee Sa-ra
Tumblr media
Sara could feel how terrified you were, your terror smoking off your body as you remained in her arms, Sara’s lips lightly pressed against the base of your neck while the terrified whimpers and cries from Dongeun filled the gym room, Myeong-oh and Jaejun shoving her about on the floor while Yeonjin watched liked the princess she was on the stage, a wicked smile on her face while the cackles and cheers of Hyejeong made constant echos in the large room.
Nobody was at school at this hour, hence why the five of them hung out together here with you and Dongeun, both of you serving as their entertainment as they wore off the whole school day, the stress getting to them everyday. Although the sharing between you and Dongeun were not really equal among all of them. Dongeun was someone that Yeonjin had chosen for herself and the others to play with, the girl never giving a precise reason why she had chosen Dongeun as their new toy but none of them objected to it. None of them were stupid enough to try, but Sara did find a small loophole when it came to you.
You were very much a part of their group like Dongeun was; however, you were solely Sara’s instead of everyone else. She had pulled you into the group a bit later than Dongeun had joined the five of them, Sara choosing you for only her. She refused to let anyone else touch you, not even Yeonjin, much to the girl’s frustration and annoyance but also to her resignation. Sara pointed out that she already had Dongeun, practically put her marks all over her with her curling iron, so it was only fair for Sara to have her own precious toy to play with, although Sara would say that the relationship between you and her were more than what Yeonjin and Dongeun had together.
“Why are you so tense? Aren’t you happy to be here with me?” Sara cooed, tightening her arms around your waist as she held you against her, you sitting on her lap as she had instructed when the seven of you arrived in the gym together. She pressed a light kiss to the back of your neck before removing one hand from your waist to instead touch the back of your neck, giving it an experimental squeeze. “You want me to give you one of my massages again?”
“N-No...” You started, probably tensing up even more when you felt her hand on your neck, immediately making Sara frown.
You still hadn’t bothered to look back at her since Yeonjin and the others started playing around with Dongeun , almost as if you were begging her to stop her friends from their game, but who was she to tell them to stop? It was not like they were laying a hand on you. They had promised not to touch you so she simply reveled in your company with the sweet sounds of Dongeun’s cries and screams. It was almost romantic in some kind of way because it was just the two of you in one separate bubble from the rest. You were a part of their group, in a way better position Dongeun could ever be in.
Sara opened her mouth to say something but was cut off with a scream and the sound of sizzling, along with the laughter of Yeonjin, Hyejeong, Jaejun and Myeong-oh as they surrounded Dongeun near the base of the stage, the curling iron in Hyejeong’s hand as she pressed it to the forearm of the screaming girl, burning over the still healing burn marks they had given the girl not too long ago. The burn marks were ugly enough, but it looked even worse with its double burn, the skin turning an ugly red from the wake of the curling iron. Despite its grotesque appearance, Sara couldn’t help but smile at the sight of it.
Red was a good colour, especially for painting, and since Dongeun had such pale skin, it was almost she was a blank canvas being painted on. Although Yeonjin was not much of a painter, she did enough leaving different colours on Dongeun, red being her favorite. Sara could almost say the same in regards to you. Red was an excellent colour on you, although a dark red was the best, especially in the form of the hickeys she enjoys leaving on your body.
Sara turned her face away from Dongeun and the others to instead look back at you, catching the sight of you side profile as you had your head fixed in the direction of Dongeun, your jaw slack and eyes wide in horror as you stared at the sight of the girl getting burnt by Yeonjin and the others. You started to tremble, Sara feeling the small movements immediately, their existence making her frown.
“Are you cold?” She asked, wrapping her arms around your waist again and tugging your close to her body, your back pressed to her chest. “Let me warm you up.”
“N-N-No...”
“I don’t like it when you say that to me.” Sara suddenly said, her lips moving to the back of your ear, brushing against the edge of your ear before she moved to press a kiss to the spot behind your ears. “I’m being so nice to you, why are you being so cold?”
“I...I...”
“Do you rather want to be in her place?” Sara whispered, her fingers suddenly digging onto your soft belly as she held you, the idea of you being in the place of Dongeun bringing some sort of fire to her blood. “If it weren’t for me, you would be there with her. It’s because of me that you aren’t. Aren’t you grateful?”
You should be grateful over the fact that Sara decided to make you more special in the group. You could have very well have been in the place as Dongeun. The two of you could be two losers together. The two of you would have been in the same league. But you weren’t. You were better than that low-class bitch. You were far more refined. Far more perfect. Far more like them than Dongeun could ever be.
Sara removed one hand from your waist again to trail it up to your face, gripping your jaw from behind and forcing you to look over your shoulder to her. She locked you in an intense gaze, her tongue sneaking out to lick her lips before she spoke to your again.
“Are you grateful for me?” She asked, leaning in closer so that her words brushed against your cheek, her tongue poking out to give you a small lick before she glided her lips along your skin until she was at the corner of your lips. “I take care of you, don’t I?”
“I...I...”
“Hey, give that to me.” Sara said said, holding her hand out to Yeonjin and the others with her palm up, flexing her fingers as an indication for the highschoolers to pass her the curling iron. Yeonjin glared at her.
“We’re busy with it.”
“And I want to curl Y/N’s hair. Give it to me. You’ve warmed it up long enough.”
Sara and Yeojnin stared off with one another for a few moments before she huffed before nodding her head at Hyejeong to hand Sara the curling iron. Sara snatched it from Hyejeong and then gently grabbed some of your hair, expertly twirling it around the iron and holding it. You were frozen completely in her lap, the only body part moving being your hands as they trembled on your knees, Sara holding your hair delicately in her hand as she began to curl it.
“I’m so good to you Y/N, right?” She said, continuing with her task. You didn’t say anything, you were too afraid to say anything, especially since all the attention in the room was on you now, Dongeun sobbing in the background. Your silence was irritating Sara, so she tugged harshly at the hair near the side of your head, bringing the curling iron close to your neck, not touching your skin but close enough to feel the heat emitting from the metal rod. “...Right?”
“Y-Yes Sara.” You finally stuttered out, staying in place in fear of the curling iron to be pressed to your neck. Sara smiled.
“Look at me.” She ordered, pulling the curling iron away from your neck and hair to give you to space to turn your head, your eyes peaking over your shoulder to look at her. Sara grinned wildly at you.
“Do I take care of you?” She repeated. You gulped.
“Yes Sara.”
“Good girl.”
She teasingly winked at you before nodding at you to turn back, allowing her to continuing curling your hair until she was satisfied, handing it back to the others without a second glance before she wrapped you up in a hug again, Dongeun’s screams soon following afterwards. Sara smiled as she nuzzled her nose into your neck, inhaling your perfume scent.
Nothing could get more perfect than this.
Choi Hye-jeong
Tumblr media
Hyejeong didn’t know when the feelings she felt for you had started to form, but she didn’t think they were easily going to go away, especially since she knew how fucked up the situation the two of you were in. There was hardly anything that she could do to help you or herself. In this circumstance, both you and her were victims, only you were truly the only one who was suffering.
You wouldn’t have become their new toy to play with if that bitch Dongeun hadn’t dropped out of school. If she had stayed and simply took what they gave her, then you would not be in this situation, taking the place of that pathetic bitch. Instead of Dongeun crawling along the gym floor with her legs tied up with the door chains that they had unlocked, it was you. The tears that were streaming on your face were obvious from the distance that Hyejeong sat on stage beside Yeonjin, the head bitch in charge smiling sadistically at you as you continued to crawl. Myeong-oh and Jaejun was walking beside you, chuckling and tossing quips at you every few minutes.
You looked so miserably, so broken...it simply made Hyejeong heart sting.
“Ne...where is my curling iron? I want to curl my hair today.” Yeonjin suddenly said, her finger twirling absentmindedly with a strand of her hair, the dark smile on her face only widening as she locked eyes with your tear filled ones. She then turned to Sara as she recorded the whole thing. “Did you bring it?”
“No, Hyejeong had it last. You got it?” Sara said, looking away from her phone screen to look at Hyejeong expectantly, soon joined by Yeonjin.
Hyejeong swallowed thickly at the attention that was suddenly on her by the two girls, her eyes darting between them before she turned to glance at you, your own eyes staring at her desperately and begging. Out of all five of them, Hyejeong was the least worst. Yeah, she watched everything that was done to you but she never really actively took part in it. She did in the beginning, but ever since her own heart began to twist painfully at the sight of you in pain, knocked down to the floor and under the heel of Park Yeonjin, she no longer felt the desire to lay hands on you.
Hyejeong was hardly in a place to save you from these circumstances...but she could elevate your suffering just a little bit.
“I forgot it.” She confessed, turning to look at Yeonjin with a slightly apologetic expression even though she felt no remorse for it. “Sorry.”
“What do you mean you forgot it?” Yeonjin demanded, her eyes narrowing dangerously and her lips twisting into an ugly snarl. “I told you to bring it!”
“Liar, you told Sara to but she just said she didn’t have it.” Heyjeong quipped, turning to look at the other girl with slight annoyance. Sara scoffed.
“Don’t blame me, I told you to bring it for next time!”
“Well I didn’t know today was going to be the next time!”
“You’re a fucking idiot!”
“Don’t call me an idiot you crazy bitch!”
“What the fuck did you say?!”
“Fuck, enough already! The two of you are giving me a headache!” Yeonjin snapped, huffing in frustration as she pinched the bridge of her nose before looking at you in disdain. “If I can’t test the curling iron temperature on her, then there is no fucking point then. This is boring.”
Yeonjin hopped off  the stage and walked towards you, staring you down for a few moments before cursing.
“Fuck, lets just get out of here. She so damn slow.”
Without a second thought, Yeonjin walked past you and headed towards the exit, leaving everyone is slightly stunned silence, all of them glancing at you and then back to Yeonjin.
“What must we do with-” Jaejun started only to be interrupted with Yeonjin as she cursed again and whipped around to glare at them
“Fuck, leave the bitch here! I don’t care!”
Yeonjin whirled around and stormed off out the doors, leaving the gym silent for a few moments before they decided to head out after her. They all spared you one more look before heading out one by one, Myeong-oh and Jaejun pushing one another by the shoulders before heading out, Sara huffing to herself before she starting head out, although she did pause when she came across you.
“Pathetic bitch.” She said before shoving you by the shoulder with her foot, making you cry out in pain before she headed towards the door, turning her head around to look at Hyejeong irritably. “Come on already you crazy bitch.”
Hyejeong flipped Sara the bird at the insult but she got off the stage and started following after the artistic high school student, although she took her time so that when Sara had left the gym, it was only the two of you left. Hyejeong crouched down when she eventually reached you, her eyes on the door to make sure that the others weren’t coming back before she turned back to you.
“You are lucky I forgot the curler. You better be grateful to me. I saved you a whole lot of hell.”
You stared up at her tearfully, a bruise already forming on your cheek from where you had been shoved against the floor, your face taking most of the impact as you had not expected the shove from Yeonjin when you first arrived at the gym. Seeing the forming bruise brought pain to Hyejeong’s heart, the very sight of it making her breath shaky as she continued to gaze at you. She glanced back at the door and then back at you before sighing.
“You better not say a fucking word about this, otherwise both you and I are going to hell.” She said, digging into her pocket to grab a key and dropping it to the floor in front of you. “You better chain up the gym and give me back the key tomorrow, otherwise I will make sure I remember the curler.”
Since they used the gym often in their free time, they all made sure to get some copies of the gym keys so that they could access it whenever they wanted, something no one knew about except each other. And now you.
You stared at the key in slight shock, you hand crawling out slowly to cover it before your raised your eyes to look at Hyejeong. She couldn’t stand looking at your face, not when it brought so much pain to her. She already had spent too long in this damn gym, the others might come look for her and she could not be caught in the act of helping you, especially since it was against Yeonjin’s orders.
“Later loser.” Hyejeong hissed before she stood up and stormed towards the door, leaving you in behind in stunned silence without a second glance.
She couldn’t look at your face, not when she was partly responsible for it. There was nothing that she could do about your situation. Yeonjin’s word was everything and if Hyejeong went against her...she did not even want to think about what Yeonjin will do to her. She will much rather be a part of their group than one of their toys, and even though it brought her pain to see you in pain...she could not take your place. She did not have the money to save herself like Yeonjin and the others had to make a new life. She needed to keep herself as pristine as she is now in order to make it in life.
She hated the fact that you were hurting...but rather it be you than her.

I'm really happy that, in the end, the bullies in The Glory were the ones who destroyed themselves.
It's a good, beliavable and strong message. It's exactly like Dong-eun said, she set the board, but most of it was just them being horrible, destructive people that they always were, incapable of truly reflecting about their actions or making amends.
If they stopped, at any point, maybe the outcome might have been different. They didn't, though, and instead they showed that they were forever stuck in this high school mindset and convinced that in the end everything is going to work out in their favor.
It's exactly the kind of ending this show should have had and I'm so glad this is the direction the writers took.

ep 4 moment
these two are interesting - and i prefer them way more then his weird love triangle
Tumblr media
soft with her - in a way hes not with others (interesting)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
her eyes
Tumblr media
and my god i wish it was that simple
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i cant figure out this dynamic and i wonder if more happened in the time jump i hope so ML knows the FL is using the other guy / is the type - so hes smart enough to not want her (feelings aside - logic winning) and with Hee Joo i feel like he lets his feelings out and still logical he was angry and even let himself say "lets get married" as a point of, we both know it cant happen - he doesnt strike me as the type to say false hope so im like he must want to feel a pure love and he's so soft with her putting the shoe back on her he would never "bow down" in a sense when not strategic - so with her he genuinely just want her safe and okay

New Korean BL - Jazz for Two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tae Yi (Song Han Gyeom?) hears a familiar melody filling the empty halls and makes his way to the old music room. He knows his brother is dead, but he can’t help but hope, maybe, just maybe...it’s his brother playing his favorite song. When he slams open the door, however, he finds Se Heon (Kim Jin Kwon), a new transfer student, at the piano. Disappointment comes crashing down and Tae Yi can’t control his anger. How dare Se Heon play his brother’s song? How dare he smile? How dare he say he loves jazz?
“If I ever catch you playing the piano again...that’ll be the end of you.”
And with that begins Tae Yi and Se Heon's story, as unpredictable and visceral as jazz. (Source: BLUPDATE2022 Twitter via MDL)
Adapted from the webtoon "Jazz for Two" (재즈처럼) by Keul Ra Jyu (클라쥬)
Stars
Song Han Gyeom (prev A-Day), Omega X (rapper)
Kim Jin Kwon, Newkidd (leader, sub-vocal)
Byun Sung Tae - lead in Happy Merry Ending
Ko Jae Hyun - side in To My Star
Thoughts
With two active idols in the leads (we think), odds are not great on this one. So far the only truly successful execution of solid BL from active idols has been Semantic Error (and frankly KNK barely counts). Plus this is the production team/director behind A Shoulder to Cry On which I HATED, so yeah...
I'm excited to have anything new from Korea but I'm keeping my expectations low.
My idols in BLs tracking is here (possibly not updated). This won't get on the list until after it releases. Never count your idols until after the BL has hatched.

Top Dozen 2023 drama MLs so far
It's August, so not the end of the year, neither it is at halfway year mark, but why would I ever do anything like a normal person? Here my very very subjective list. I have limited myself to one dude per drama or LYF would be half the list. No order except alphabetical.
Chen Wende (Sun Yizhou in Gone With the Rain, China)
Tumblr media
The epic troll lord stole the whole drama as competently as he stole the FL's heart. He was competent and adult and oh-so-amused by but also gone for the heroine.
Gu Jiusi (Bai Jing Ting in Chang Feng Du/Destined, China)
Tumblr media
CFD lost steam for me halfway through but Jiusi's character remained a delight throughout and BJT gave a great performance as a golden boy who went through a bunch of hell and grew up but remained goodnatured at heart.
Han Dong Jin (Kim Young Kwang in Call It Love, Korea)
Tumblr media
You know, he and Jing (from LYF1) really fit the same mold even if one is in a mellow realistic modern and another in xianxia - lovely traumatized people from monster families who win over heroine with a metric ton of baggage through sheer unswerving decency. I have a type.
Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook in Alchemy of Souls s2, Korea)
Tumblr media
I loved Uk in S1 and S2 continued that love - he's so intense, so grieving, so still in love with Naksu. LJW is always a good actor so it's such a pleasure to see him in a good role.
Kim Do Ha (Hwang Min Hyun, My Lovely Liar, Korea)
Tumblr media
The year of surprises - Minhyun, who I found utterly wooden in AoS stole my heart here as this hopeful, traumatized sweetheart of a man.
Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin, The Killing Vote, Korea)
Tumblr media
Yeah, we are only one ep in but who said anything about this list was objective? PHJ brings his usual unsettling intensity to the role of a cop who breaks all the rules and teeters on the edge and now is set to catch a killer who really only differs from him in a matter of degree.
Lee Jang Hyun (Nam Goong Min in My Dearest, Korea)
Tumblr media
If I had to pick a favorite ML from this list, it would be between him and Jing (LYF). This is basically if you took Rhett Butler and took out slavery and rape but gave him a sword. The character is complex and nuanced and NGM is giving his usual incredible performance.
Lee Rang (Kim Bum in Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, Korea)
Tumblr media
I was not a Rang fangirl for most of the original (even if he was well-acted; and he did win me over by the end) but I fell for him head over heels in this sequel/prequel/spin-off. I am so happy the man who believed he had nobody and was abandoned by everybody ends the story with his beloved brother and his beloved woman, both.
Moon Seo Ha (Ahn Bo Hyun in See You in My 19th Life, Korea)
Tumblr media
A lot of MLs on this list have serious trauma and haunted by it and can't let go of their past love (I have a type) but even by those standards, Seo Ha was such a lovely, quiet person slowly healing.
Tantai Jin (Luo Yunxi in Till the End of the Moon, China)
Tumblr media
Abuse victim/monster/praiseworthy king/xianxia saint/man on the brink - LYX portrayed a character in multiple timelines and many different complexities and did it amazingly. Tantai Jin may or may not win my favorite place on this list, but his performance was hands-down the most glorious thing this year.
Tushan Jing/Ye Shiqi (Deng Wei in Lost You Forever part 1, China)
Tumblr media
If before LYF aired someone would have told me that a character played by Deng Wei, an actor I've always found eminently forgettable, would make it on this list and be in the running to win the whole thing actually, I'd have wondered what weird reality they came from. They somehow managed to make someone genuinely good and kind not in the least boring; I am ridiculously invested in the man who managed to keep his soul after all he's been through.
Yun Xiang (Chen Xiao in The Ingenuous One, China)
Tumblr media
A schemer on a revenge quest, smarter than anyone else in the room but helpless in front of love. Yun Xiang was an adult in an adult story for adults and it was glorious.

how would lookism men be as dads ?(how many kids, girl dad vibes or boy dad vibes)
yes! prepare yourselves bc this is going to be a long post...
Lookism men as dads headcanons
let's start with J High Crew and +:
Daniel - he has the vibes to have 1 boy and 1 girl, they're three years apart and get along surprisingly well, they have the typical sibling fights but at the same time they're partners in crime. His kids are well educated and are really respectful, but both of them are as bold as the father.
Zack - same as Daniel but reverse, he has a girl, an older sister responsible and harsh, the pride of her father, and the little one, a boy, a funny and impulsive little Zack that makes sure the family keeps a constant eye on him. They're four years apart, as soon as the eldest got into kinder that Zack went for a second.
Vasco - Vasco always wanted a big family, since young he wished for three daughters, genetics had other plans tho, he went for a daughter and had a son, a healthy and strong one, a year after he wished the gods for a daughter but life blessed the family with another son and so on till Vasco had three sons, each one a year apart from the other, the eldest, a strong, kind and responsible son, he is the peace maker of the siblings, the middle child, a wild and funny version of Vasco he gets along with Daniel's first child, the third child, an adventurous and curious boy, so curious that makes him get in troubles for that, making everyone worry about him. Five years later since the youngest was born, life blessed the family with a girl, a kind and adventurous little girl that gets spoiled by her father and has three bodyguards so called brothers.
(sorry about all this text but I love the idea of Vasco wishing for three daughters and having three sons instead)
Jay - I don't see him being a dad, more of the cool uncle (like jinyoung), but if life gave him a child, it would be a girl, a kind and classy girl.
Jace - a son, a little version of him, a little detective, he will born at the same time as Vasco's third son, a chaotic duo that will continue the father's heritage, on the other hand he would be like another big brother for Vasco's daughter.
Vin Jin - he was afraid his bloodline will inherit polycoria as him so he would be really reluctant to having kids, still, life blessed him with a daughter, she's the apple of his eye, his partner in crime, the reason that made him a god parent for her.
Johan - a son, a gentle and kind son, he's spoiled by Zack's eldest daughter and gets along really well with Daniel's kids.
Big Deal
Jake - he was more than fine settling with an only child, but life blessed him with two sons, genetics are hard on his side so Jake would have two copy and paste versions of him, they are two years apart and get along really well, even more when the youngest enters puberty, they share the same friends, same adventures and great times. The eldest is the extroverted one, his charisma makes people want to be around him, the youngest is more quiet but makes the most random and unhinged plans, when both brothers are together they make the most funny dynamics.
Sinu - a son, the best friend of Jake's kids, he's the eldest of the new gen of big deal. Sinu settled perfectly well with a son, but will foster home some runaway kids.
Samuel - a daughter, Samuel wasn't even sure to be a dad but to think of causing the same pain he had to suffer because of a shitty absent parent, to his bloodline made him settle and be more responsible. Samuel's daughter is spoiled to the brims, she is quite arrogant but she is not a bad person, at least that is what the big deal kids say. Every parent is scared of her, they will all let their sons date everyone they like and encourage them, but will warn them about Samuel's daughter, not bc of the girl, but bc of her father.
Jerry - a son, another blessed with a son and strong genetics, Jerry was more than fine with a single son, the wife did a great and enough hard job of bearing the big son of such a big man. He is the same age as Jake's youngest son, they're inseparable.
Jason - life blessed him with two daughters, they're five years apart, being the youngest, the youngest of all the big deal kids. The eldest daughter and the big deal boys are like peas in a pod, which makes Jason worry about her.
Brad - Brad settled happy with a son, the voice of reason of the big deal kids, he's a year younger than Jake's eldest son.
Lineman - a son, the second youngest of the big deal kids, he is a good boy but always manages to get in trouble (Jason's youngest daughter fault).
Hostel
Eli - his daughter, Eli settled with Yenna, he worked hard for giving her the world and wouldn't change it other way.
Warren - a son, who Yenna cared of him as a big sister, Warren also took in the family Like What and So Funny, so he has two daughters and a son.
Geniuses
Gun - he was blessed with a daughter, a spoiled girl, the pride of Gun, he taught her how to fight, how to grow up without needing any man, Gun raised a girlboss but surprisingly he did well enough to not give her any trauma. Gun didn't care much of making a bloodline of warriors so he was more than happy with raising his daughter.
Goo - two monsters both one year apart, first a boy, and then a girl, both are the the same as him, and the three of them are everyone's worst nightmare.
James - a son, unhinged just as his dad, the new nightmare of the next gen.
Ansan
Taesoo - three kids, his first one, a daughter, a smart girl both academically and street-smart, his best helper, the middle, a boy, a little wild version of him that makes his eldest sister stress, luckily, the third child, a girl, made the middle one focus and mature because she truly is a menace. The eldest and the middle child are two years apart, and the youngest is six years younger than the eldest and four than the middle.
Hudson - a daughter, she has Taesoo's eldest as her role model, she is smart and spoiled by her dad and uncles, doesn't need siblings bc Taesoo's kids take care of her.
Chungcheon
Jibeom - three, Jibeom wanted to maintain the tradition of having a big family so he got blessed with three children, the eldest a strong and independent boy that helps the family, the middle child, a smart daughter, daddy's princess, the youngest, the black sheep, a rebellious boy that warms Jibeom's heart, his youngest son makes him remind of his little brother.
Jihan - unlike his older brother, Jihan had more than enough with his only son, if the boy felt lonely he had his three cousins to play with, his little rebellious and hyperactive son made the same and enough chaos as Jibeom's three kids. When the two youngest cousins of the Kwak family were together the whole town trembled.
Workers
Eugene - twins, two girls, two times eviler than their father, the new gen better be careful.
Yuseong - a boy, the protector of his cousins.
Ryuhei - a girl, a beautiful and evil girl spoiled to the brims by her father.
Kenta - a boy, his heir and his pride, he will seek revenge on Gun's daughter only to get gasslighted by her

The Glory -> You visit them in prison
Requested: No
Kdrama: The Glory
Genre: Angst. Fluff?
Warnings: Mentions of murder. Mentions of bullying. Mentions of death. No remorse. Swearing.
A/N: I absolutely do not condone anything that was presented in the kdrama. No one should ever bully others. This is all purely fiction.
Moon Dong-eun
Tumblr media
Dongeun had never been one to truly care about fashion, mainly because she only purchased items of clothing that could conceal the horrid burn scars that were inflicted on her during high school. However, it did not mean that she approved of the prison uniform that was currently fitted to her body. While the colour itself did not bother her, nor that it was a prison uniform, but it was rather the short sleeves of the uniform that bothered her.
Since the day Dongeun had received the burn marks from Yeonjin and the others, she has always covered them with long clothing. Ranging from long-sleeve dressed to oversized jackets and sweaters, Dongeun always made sure to hide her scars from the public eye, hating the looks of horror that were immediately scorned her way, constantly bringing a wave of humiliation to her.
She never should have been forced into the position where she feels that she has to constantly hide herself. She shouldn’t be fearful over the fact that someone could possibly catch a glimpse of her bare forearms in case they notice the first burn scar which had marked her collection. She should not living her life for the sole purpose of revenge, and yet it was the only thing which had kept her alive so far.
Dongeun stared blankly at you from the other side of the plastic screen in the visitation ward, your own face filled with obvious sadness with tears streaming down your face while you stared at her from your side of the screen. While her heart pinched at the sight of your tears, she did not allow herself to show any concern. Between the two of you, she had to be the strongest. You were already the more emotionally one between the two of you, so that meant that she had to be the controlled one.
“Dongeun...” You uttered, your bottom lip trembling after her name left your mouth, the anguish obvious to even the prisoner guard who was monitoring Dongeun’s visit with you. “I’m so sorry.”
“I have already said that it is not your fault Y/N. This was a possible risk.”
Dongeun had expected for Yeonjin to try use her means of wealth and resources in an attempt to stop her journey of revenge; however, she didn’t quite anticipate that she would manage to spin a made up story which incriminated Dongeun for supposedly blackmailing students at her workplace for some benefits. While there was hardly any evidence to the story, there was apparently some constructed proof, no doubt courtesy to Mr Chu who had some sort of vindictive grudge towards Dongeun for some whatever reason.
And so Dongeun was serving time for a crime that she did not commit, although she did not plan to stay for long.
“Still, so much has happened to you and yet-”
“One thing to know about revenge Y/N is that you should expect the unexpected. I had expected this, but did not anticipate in it actually happening.”
“Why are you so calm?!” You suddenly screeched, slamming your hand hard on the table that it echoed in the room.
Dongeun felt the gaze of the prisoner guard behind her, no doubt attempting to diagnose the cause of your temper flare, but Dongeun did not react. She instead continued to gaze at you with a blank gaze.
“I see no point in losing my temper over something that is inevitable. Becoming lost in a rage is not going to change the fact that I am in here.”
“But you didn’t do it!” You exclaimed, staring at her desperately as tears continued to escape. “You don’t deserve to be in here! Out of all people, it is Yeonjin and her whole group of asshole friends!”
You were not someone who habitually cursed, although it became a different story when you lost your temper. Even though it was hardly appropriate, a small smile found itself gracing Dongeun’s lips, her eyes lighting up slightly as she gazed at your frazzled appearance. You immediately furrowed your eyebrows when you noticed the small.
“Why are you smiling?”
“...I don’t know.”
It was true.
She didn’t know why she was smiling, but she had found that since meeting you, smiles have become a more frequent in her life. After her high school experiences with Yeonjin and the others, Dongeun could hardly feel any sort of happiness during her years into adulthood. Dongeun had to work to survive and survival hardly had any room for emotions such as happiness. Possibly the only form of happiness she felt was when she marked the start of her revenge plot against Yeonjin. Her laborious thoughts of revenge slowly started to become true, and the pieces slipping into place brought a sense of twisted glee to Dongeun, who has been a victim for Yeonjin far beyond their high school days.
And yet somehow and somewhat, she has found herself feeling a different sort of glee when she was with you. Although perhaps the correct word to use was contentment. She became somewhat content in your presence. Something she was not used to.
“There has to be something that we can do.” You said, ducking your head as you sniffled as your tears began to blur your eyesight, making you miss the tilt of Dongeun’s head as she looked at you. Dongeun reached out and tapped the transparent screen, the sound prompting you to lift your head again. She leaned in so that she could talk to you in a lower tone.
“There is nothing that we can do but wait. You must remain home and continue with your everyday life. You do not need to worry about me.”
You looked at her in slight confusion for a few moments before your expression suddenly hardened, your eyes becoming sharp despite the moisture in them.
“If you think that I am going to just leave you like this-”
“You are not because I will not be here for much longer.” Dongeun interrupted, a small gleeful smile gracing her lips again as her eyes lit up with small determination. “I already have a plan for my release, but it will take some time so I need you to continue living normally without me. You will hear more about it from me soon.”
“Dongeun...what are you-”
“I can’t tell you now but I promise that I will soon. Trust me Y/N...I have a plan for something like this.”
While Dongeun did not anticipate for herself to be put into this situation, it did not mean that she did not plan for the possibility. She had already started the process of her eventual release, courtesy of a certain doctor who was determined to be her executioner. Although while he did play an important part, he could not compare to you, her warden.
Her warden who did whatever they could to protect her, as expected of a warden. You guarded and protected, be it Dongeun or her proof for revenge. She trusted you and she knew that you trusted her to keep to her word and eventually tell you her plan. Although not for the moment. It was not the right time. She will tell you when the time is right, when there is no possibility of derailment.
Joo Yeo-jeong
Tumblr media
Despite the dark grey uniform that was clothing his body and the plastic screen that was separating him from you, Yeojeong couldn’t help but smile thoughtfully while you looked at him from the opposite seat, eyebrows furrowed at his expression.
“Why are you smiling?” You asked, your hand raised half in the air as you leaned back in your chair, fingers lazily moving against one another. His eyes brightened at your question.
“I’m happy.” He said, as if it was the most obvious answer in the world.
Although to Yeojeong, it was the most obvious answer in the world. He had finally done it. He had finally ended the life of his own tormentor. It took over two years but he eventually managed to see the light fade away from that animal that had ruined his entire life. He had so meticulous with his revenge. He at first started with the weekly medication that prisoners were entitled to have until eventually progressing to the food that he would eat. He maintained his professional facade the entire time, no one suspecting his true intentions.
He internally found delight in the wariness of the animal, cautiously stepping towards the counter to receive his medication, all while Yeojeong maintained his friendly demeanor. While he had smiled at tormentor, appearing friendly from the public eye, only he could recognize the iciness of the smile. Yeonjeong had promised him that he had to be careful when the two of them met again because then Yeojeong was going to mark the start of his revenge. He had promised that he was going to kill him and that nobody was going to suspect foul play because Yeojeong was a doctor.
It had worked for the whole two years. Yeojeong had made sure that the process was slow. He wanted to draw it out as much as he could because the animal did not deserve a quick death. He made sure that his father had choked on his blood, suffocating him and making his death panicked and painful with himself being the last thing that his father would ever see until he finally succumbed to his injuries. That was something that Yeojeong could never forgive. He could never forgive the monster who had created his father’s death, nor could he forgive that the betrayal he demonstrated by killing the doctor who had saved his life.
Yeojeong drew out his death deliciously, and when he finally stared down at the dying monster, he couldn’t help but smile. He had leaned down so that they were practically face-to-face, a calm smile on his face as he took in his moment of victory.
“Do you need me to give you something for the pain?”
The terror in his eyes were wonderful and nothing brought Yeojeong more delight than seeing the moment of death. He had finally completed his revenge. He avenged his father and his family. He managed to make the monster pay for all the pain he had caused Yeojeong and his family. He could finally move on with his life, with you and with his mother.
...Only he was eventually suspected of being the cause of the death.
It took some digging to eventually track down the proof that would give them the right to imprison Yeojeong. He did not even put up a fight when they had arrived with handcuffs. He did not feel any fear or sadness; however, he did feel a sense of guilt when he turned around to see you standing in the entryway of his home, having rushed from the table where the two of you were having dinner. He did make sure to utter an ‘I love you’ to you before he was hauled away, the officer reading out his rights as he was escorted out his home and towards the police vehicle which was waiting for him.
“...You are happy that you are in prison?” You asked, snapping him out of his thoughts as he began to recall his memory of his object of revenge finally becoming lost in the next realm, most likely to a fiery inferno. He smiled serenely at you.
“Not exactly.”
“...Then why are you happy?”
“I feel achieved.”
“I achieved?”
“Yes. I finally did it Y/N, I finally killed that monster. He’s dead and its all because of me. He feared for it. He feared for his death. He feared me. It was glorious.”
It was truly glorious. It was possibly the best entertainment that Yeojeong could ever have in his life. While it was expected for him to find a new means to entertain himself, nothing could ever compare to the two year game he had to play. It was wonderful.
Crack!
Yejeong suddenly jumped at the sound of your fist hitting the table, your facial features twisted harshly as you glared from your end of the screen, your jaw clenching tightly.
“Right. It was so glorious that you didn’t think of the possibility of getting caught, or even think about how this would affect me.” He furrowed his eyebrows at you, slightly confused. You scoffed at his expression. “Were you so obsessed with your idea of revenge that it didn’t even occur to you to even mention the fact that you were going on a whole revenge trip to kill a man?!”
Yeojeong felt his body tense defensively, his facial features hardening as he stared at you.
“It wasn’t just any man, he was the man that-”
“Yes I know that now Yeojeong, after I had to hear it from a detective! Don’t you think I had to right to know about your whole plan? Don’t you think that I had the right to know that you were trying to kill someone?!”
“...”
Yeojenong couldn’t help but stare at you with furrowed eyebrows, the suddenly posed question making him ponder to himself. Why hadn’t he told you about it? The two of you had steadily progressed in your relationship. You found him after Dongeun had suddenly vanished, and he found himself finding comfort and contentment in your presence, slowly but surely falling in love with you.
...But it did not occur to him to inform you of his plans.
He was unable to say anything because he didn’t know what he could say to placate you. It simply never did cross his mind, and you had been by his side for the past two years. Why didn’t he tell you?
His lack of an answer angered you and he couldn’t help but whip his head up at you as you stood up from your seat, shaking your head before sparing him with a final glance.
“Forget it Yeojeong.”
And then you left. Your shoes leaving an echoing sound in the room as you exited the through the door and slammed it shut, leaving Yeojeong behind in stunned silence.
Ha Do-yeong
Tumblr media
Doyeong could not stand the look that you were giving him from your side of the screen, your eyes glossed over with pity and fear for him; although he did not blame you since neither of you knew when he would eventually be let out. He let out a sigh and threaded his fingers through his hair, it becoming longer than usual due to the past time in the prison. While he could have it done, he has chosen not to. He decided that it was going to be one of the first things he was going to do once he released.
“How is Yesol?” He asked, looking at you with tense eyes as he waited for an answer. You sighed and leaned back in your seat.
“She is sad but she is doing okay, much better than I had expected. But she missed you. She misses her daddy. She doesn’t understand why you are in here...and I don’t know what to tell her.”
“Did you tell her what we had agreed on?” He asked, anxiety shooting through him at the thought of his daughter finding out the truth. You nodded.
“Yes. As far as she knows, you were put in here by mistake. That you were put in here by some bad people. But Doyeong, she is a lot smarter than you think. She has started asking me questions that I don’t know how to answer. She is going to eventually figure out the truth.”
“Yes but lets prolong it for just a bit longer. She already has a mother who is a bully and a murderer...me being a crook is not something that she needs to deal with. I know better than anyone that at times ignorance is simply bliss.”
“But Doyeong...it wasn’t even your fault.”
“But it is in the eyes of the law.”
Doyeong has always prided himself on his natural instincts towards certain topics because they had never failed him. From his business school years to the strong, effective progression of his company, Doyeong had always managed to trust his instincts to guide him along the correct path.
And yet that had incorrectly guided him into the arms of a black widow, better known as Yeonjin, childhood bully and adult terror. Doyeong could not believe that he was so blind to her true nature, even though he had fallen for her during their whole courtship. She was beautiful, it was obvious, and perhaps that was why he was so attracted to her in the first place. He liked them pretty. She had a charm about her which could not be easily replicated, and like a moth to a flame, he was drawn in, not realizing that he was going to be burnt nearly a decade later.
His instincts had started working again when Moon Dongeun had entered Yeonjin’s life again, which inevitably caused the woman to enter his own. He could not believe the cruel capabilities of his wife, inflicting such cruel harm onto somebody simply because she could. While Doyeong would hardly say he was an innocent student during his high school years, he would have never done anything that Yeonjin and her friends had done to Moon Dongeun.
What they had done to the woman...it was inhuman.
Doyeong was disgusted that he had married a monster. He wouldn’t even be able to call her a human because no human would be cruel enough to inflict such pain onto another. Yeonjin could not be classified as a human. She was an animal. A monster. Anything but a human. The only way Yeonjin preserved any form of her humanity was through the birth and upbringing of Yesol.
Despite her not being his biological daughter, she was the purest thing in the world. While she had her mother’s beauty, she did not possess her twisted personality. She was innocent, sweet, and naturally curious. She was such a sweet girl who loved dolls and soccer. She enjoys making food for him and you, the two of you often bonding in the kitchen and sharing smiles and laughter which couldn’t stop a smile crawling along his own face.
The last bit of innocence that Yeonjin had before it died in school was reincarnated in Yesol, and Doyeong was going to do his best to protect it. He was not going to allow her to become like either of her biological parents. It was a vow that he had made to himself.
“I’m sure your lawyers will find something. You were not the reason for the whole scheme. You didn’t even know that it was a scheme in the first place.”
“But I am the one who had signed the papers Y/N. In the eyes of everyone and the law, I knew exactly what was happening. My signature on the documents says it all.”
His instincts had failed him for the first time with his marriage to Yeonjin, and they failed him for the second time for his entrapment in a money laundering scheme that had been discovered.”
He should have known better than to sign. He should have had his people investigate the company even more, but the business people had done their homework carefully and meticulously. Doyeong would almost be impressed if he was not the one who was had become the drop man, taking all the blame and burden once the scheme was discovered. Even though his hands were clean, they were not in the eyes of the law, hence why he was locked up in prison in a visiting ward with you.
“Don’t lose hope Doyeong. The truth will come out. I’m sure of it.” You said hopefully, a resolute look in your eyes.
Doyeong gazed at you for a few moments, almost thoughtful because he could not understand why you were so hopeful in a time which seemed hopeless to him. His lawyers would have found something by now to prove his innocence, but they have found nothing. As far as he knew, he was stuck here and there was a possibility that he was never going to get out.
“...Let us hope so.” Doyeong said, forcing a small smile on his face as he gazed at you, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. “Please keep looking after Yesol for me.”
You flashed a small smile at him, shaking your head before leaning forward in return to be closer to him as best that you could.
“You don’t even need to ask me that Doyeong. Of course I will.”
Doyeong smiled in return, a more genuine one this time as he nodded gratefully to you, thankful to have someone like you in his life to man the ship outside the prison until he hopefully returns.
Park Yeon-jin
Tumblr media
The silence was eating away at Yeonjin, burrowing her out from the inside while she trembled in her seat, her fingers incessantly picking at her cuticles as she waited for you to speak. You have already been here for twenty minutes and had yet to answer a single question that Yeonjin had asked. She had assumed that it was because it was still a shock to you to see her in such a horrible dressing clothes. Yeonjin was still in a state of disbelief herself that she was wearing the prison uniform, the garment doing nothing for her but torment her for all the things that have happened to her ever since the arrival of that bitch Moon Dongeun.
She should have just killed her years ago...just as she did with Sohee.
But there was hardly any time for her to think about those two pathetic beings. You were here in front of her, the only person who would visit her. Sara she knows is locked up somewhere for her stupid drug addiction, as well as stabbing that backstabber Hyejeong in the neck. Yeonjin sincerely hopes that she bled out or swallowed the whole pencil whole. And Jaejun hadn’t even bothered to show his face. But he was literally the last person she wanted to see her like this. It was humiliating enough for that damned Moon Dongeun to see her like this...that pathetic bitch deserved to die for everything that she has done to her.
Her perfect life was shattered the second that bitch had stepped foot back into that school hall.
Her nerves were already on the edge with being in this prison, the vilest of women residing in here that one could mistake them as the slugs on the garden wall that has been residing there for generations. They disgusted her and sharing her living quarters with them horrified her. There was no sense of elegance or luxury. She had no reason for being here. She did not deserve to be here. It was all because of that damned scarred bitch. She should be the one in this damn prison for ruining her life.
The only thing that could give her some sense of reprieve was you, but your silence was making her hell even more torturous. She hasn’t spoken to anyone since her arrival. They were not people who she could converse with, or even want to converse with. Tossing backwater in the dryers with Hyejeong would have been more enjoyable that interacting with those disgusting slug women. You were the only one in the prison who was worth her time and sanity, and yet you are not speaking to her.
She has sent you letters and yet you have not answered them. Yeonjin felt like she was going mad here. You were the only form of sanity that she had left in this hell. You were the only reminder of her previous utopia before she ended up in here. You were her past life. She wanted it back. She wanted you.
“Y/N...speak to me already.” She said, letting out a nervous laugh as she looked at you, expression tightened seriously as you stared at her. “Do you have news for me? Have my lawyers said anything? How is Yesol, is she-”
“You don’t have to worry about Yesol. Doyeong is taking care of her.” You suddenly interrupted, finally speaking your voice after the last twenty minutes. Yeonjin flinched at your hard voice, but she immediately fixed her attention on you.
“T-That’s good. Y/N I am telling you that this place is my living hell. You have to talk to my lawyers and get them to-”
“What lawyers Yeonjin? In case you had forgotten, the lawyers that were helping you out were hired by Doyeong. You don’t have a single cent to spend on a lawyer, not even a public one.” You snapped, your voice sharp as a knife as you glared at her from your side. Just the sound of your hard voice and glare immediately made Yeonjin tighten up defensively.
“What do you think you are saying to me? Y/N I swear-”
“What can you do Yeonjin? You are in there and I am out here. There is literally nothing that you can do to me. Nothing.”
Your sudden hiss took Yeonjin aback completely, her eyes widening at the harsh way that you were talking to her. You have never spoken to her in this manner before. You have always been more soft spoken , submissive to Yeonjin in a sense, but it was the way Yeonjin liked you because you always made her feel more powerful and worshiped. Your eyes were always filled with awe and adoration when you saw her...and yet the only thing she could see in them were ice.
“I don’t have time for this. So I’m just going to give it to you straight. I’m leaving.” You announced, checking your watch for good measure before glancing at Yeonjin again, showing no reaction to her stunned expression.
“...What? What do you mean?” Yeonjin questioned, her eyebrows furrowing as she sat frozen in her seat, a wave of anxiety slowly building up with her the longer she continued to stare at you. You sighed again.
“I got a job offering overseas. I’m going to take it.”
“You can’t.”  Yeonjin immediately snapped, shaking her head as she stared at you with hard eyes, the wave getting bigger within her. “You can’t go anywhere.”
“Newsflash Yeonjin, it is not up to you. And even if it was, there is literally nothing you can do to stop me from leaving.” You snapped, leaning down to grab your bag. The sight of you gathering your belonging immediately made a snap of panic through Yeonjin’s body, making her leap out of her chair and completely pressed against the screen, her action making you startle as she pressed her palms against the plastic and dug her nails against the surface.
“What the hell do you think you are saying? You can’t leave! What about me? Did you fucking think about me?!” She screeched against the screen, her entire body trembling as she stood before you in a deranged state, the sight making your eyes widen for a second before hardening the next. You stood up from your seat.
“All this time I have thought about you and it led me to accepting the job. What did you expect Yeonjin? Did you expect me to come here everyday to see you when it is a known fact that you are never going to get out?”
“I am going to get out! I am going to-”
“Wake the fuck up Yeonjin! You are never getting out! You fucking killed people! You literally bullied people so badly that they much preferred death than spending another second living in the same world as you! And whats worse is that you don’t even feel remotely sorry for what you have done! It’s disgusting, and I can’t believe that I fell for you in the first place!”
Yeonjin could see it. Your lack for love for her. The previous affection and adoration you had for her before was completely vanquished from your body. All she was staring at was an ice cold individual who looked disgusted at the very sight of Yeonjin. She hated it. She detested it. It fucking terrified her. And it terrified her even more when you turned around and started to walk away from her.
“Yah! Where are you going?! Where the fuck are you going?! You can’t leave me here! You bitch, you can’t fucking leave me!”
Even when Yeonjin heard the shout of the prison guard behind her, she did not stop punching the plastic screen separating you and her from one another. You didn’t even turn back to look at her as she cursed and screeched at you. The sound of the door slamming as you exited the room was almost as lethal as a bullet to her heart. A bullet would have been less painful than the fact that you had presented her.
You were leaving.
And she had just been left behind.
Jeon Jae-jun
Tumblr media
Prison did not suit him.
Jaejun has gone through literal hell being here, especially when it was discovered that he was a part of the higher society than the fucking animals that resided in these walls. The stunts that have pulled on him day and night, it was enough to make him to want to smash his fucking head against the concrete walls.
He was pissed over the fact he was in here in the first place. He paid a shit ton to his lawyer and men to make sure that all of his finances were clean, but its seemed like that asshole Myeong-oh purposefully left some documents laying around which allowed Jaejun to get arrested for tax evasion. He had been so fucking careful but the mess up by one asshole had brought him to a literal downfall.
If that asshole Myeong-oh wasn’t already dead, he would have fucking killed him.
You have tried your best to help him get through this, visiting him nearly five times a week to keep him some sort of company, although it hardly did shit because in the end you were able to leave this hellhole while he had to stay behind and deal with the down dogs that he was sharing his living quarters with. It also didn’t fucking help that you brought along his lawyer, attempting to keep him updated with his bail process but it kept coming to a damn dead end.
“If you want me to be realistic...you have about a 20% chance on being granted bail.” His lawyer said, his matter-of-fact tone making Jaejun tighten his fists in anger as he stared across from you and him from his side of the visitation table. He noticed you flash his lawyer a disheartened look before it brightened into a hopeful expression as you turned to look at Jaejun.
“But that is still better than nothing. I’m sure a miracle can happen and-”
“I don’t believe in fucking miracles Y/N. You fucking know that.” Jaejun snapped, shifting his gaze at you with a sharp edge. You immediately flinched at his tone and look, making him sigh and shaking his head to try get a hold of himself. ‘Forget it.”
“Jaejun, I-”
“Get out.” Jaejun suddenly ordered, snapping his head up at attention.
He noticed your eyes widened at his sudden order, shock and fear evident in them before they eventually settled away when you realized that he was not talking to you but to his lawyer. His lawyer was startled by Jaejun’s sudden harsh look on him, making him shift uncomfortably in his chair.
“Listen Jaejun, I know it is tough, but I-”
“Are you fucking deaf? I said get out!” Jaejun screeched, kicking his legs out for good measure as he shared at his lawyer, who immediately shot from his seat and scurried out of the room, leaving you and Jaejun alone. Once he disappeared from sight, Jaejun slumped into his seat, exhaustion suddenly washing over him.
“...Jaejun?” You meekly called out, causing him to lift his head in question as he took in your small frame. He sighed again before repositioning himself and staring at you with a solemn expression.
“How is Yesol?” He asked, anticipating and anxiety building up in his stomach as he looked at you for answers.
That was probably the worst part about him being in prison. He was missing out on his time with being with Yesol. The little girl was nearly the spitting image of Yeonjin when they were kids, but she no doubt had his adorable looks. He was a cute kid back in the day, and it was a no brainer for his kid to be adorable, which Yesol has evidently proven because she is the cutest thing that he has ever seen in his life. He was making a plan for her to finally become his, for the two of them to finally become a family. He wasn’t going to be an uncle to her anymore, he was going to be his father.
And Meyong-oh fucked up his plans perfectly with this fucking stunt.
You seemed almost hesitant to answer, glancing around nervously before you cleared your throat and slowly grabbed your bag and dug through its contents before pulling out your phone. He watched you unlock it and slide your finger across the screen multiple times before finally turning it around to show him a picture of Yesol in her soccer uniform, a smile on her face as she kicked a ball. A smile immediately crawled along Jaejun’s face as he looked at the photo, a light feeling filling his chest the longer he looked at it.
“She is adorable.” He uttered, genuine happiness evident in his face as he continued to look at the photo. “You got any more?”
“I...no.” You confessed, tugging your phone back and clutching it to your chest. “I...I got caught by the security guard and he tossed me off the grounds.”
“...Why the fuck did he do that? What right does he have?!” Jaejun suddenly yelled, picturing a large, beefy man forcefully pulling you away from the soccer field and Yesol.  You looked at him meekly.
“I...because I wasn’t a parent, and...it also doesn’t help that I...I...”
“...You what?” Jaejun said, narrowing his eyes at your sudden nervous stammer. You gulped at his glare and didn’t say anything for a few moments before finally speaking again.
“I...got a restraining order against me for Yesol.”
...
“WHAT?!”
This time Jaejun leapt up from his seat as he screamed, making the prisoner guards immediately rush at him to force him back but he shook them off, snapping that he was fine before taking a seat again. His breathing was suddenly very uneven due to the progressive boiling of his blood.
“Why the fuck is there a restraining order against you?!”
“I...people started noticing me take photos of Yesol...and...and they found it suspicious and told Doyeong. He is the one that issued it against me.”
“That fucking asshole!” Jaejun screeching, earning himself another scolding yell from the prisoner guards which made him turn around to glare at all of them before turning back to you. “Can you reverse it?”
“W-What?”
“I asked if you can fucking reverse it. Can you?”
“I...I don’t know.”
“Then you better fucking find out! I need you to keep an eye on Yesol for me while I’m in this fucking hellhole. You need to get it reversed!”
“...I just told you that I got a restraining order against me...and you are concerned about Yesol?”
The look you gave him was a mixture of shock and disbelief, something which did not stir right with Jaejun. He cursed and rubbed his face before looking back at you.
“Listen, I know its bad but I need you to keep watching Yesol for me. Talk to my lawyer and he can start the process with reversing it. Out of all of this, Yesol is the most important person here.”
“...Jaejun, I can’t just break a restraining order. I...I’ll get into real trouble if I do.”
“So what! It’s for Yesol!” Jaejun suddenly screamed, making you jumping in your seat. “She’s my fucking daughter. Why the fuck wouldn’t you break a stupid piece a paper for her?!”
“Because she is not mine!”
Jaejun froze when the words left your lips. You also froze the moment you realized what you had said, staring wide-eyed at Jaejun before scurrying out of your seat, bag and phone gripped tightly in your hands. You shook your head at him as you slowly began to back away.
“I’m sorry Jaejun...but I can’t do it.”
You flashed him a remorseful look before scurrying away, leaving him in stunned silence until his mind finally clicked with your words, causing him to lash out and deliver several sharp punches against the plastic screen until he was forcefully restrained by the prisoner guards, your name leaving his mouth as he shouted blue murder as he was dragged away from the visitation room.
Lee Sa-ra
Tumblr media
Sara could not stop shivering. It was not because it was cold but because her body was yearning for the sustenance she has been relying on for nearly eighteen years. She couldn’t help but dig her fingers into her hair, tugging at the strands harshly, feeling her scalp burn from the intense amount of force she was using. It was not much but it was a small sense of relief, but it did not do the job like the real thing did.
The tremors wouldn’t stop and Sara felt like she was losing her grip on her sanity the longer she stayed cooped up in this hellhole with no form of entertainment, inspiration, or pleasure.
“...Sara?”
...There was perhaps only one form of pleasure that she found in this hellhole and that was when you decided to visit her.
Sara raised her head from its hiding place on the table surface, her arms creating a tent over her head to protect her from the daylight while her hair hung loose around her face, curtaining her from the offensive sunlight. Although even though her hair was in her eyes, it did not properly conceal her vision of you, your beautiful face staring at her with worried eyes as you sat from side of the screen. A crooked smile crawled along her face along with an empty cackle as she released her hair and sat up more straightly in her seat.
“You are so pretty.” She uttered, cackling afterwards before leaning her cheek against her palm as she gazed at you lovingly.
But you did not flush like you usually did when Sara commentated on your beauty, you instead look even more worried. You scanned her shivering body from what you could see from the barrier between the two of you before looking back at her, your hand gliding along the table surface towards the plastic screen.
“Sara...” You said softly, your eyes intensifying in their worry as your fingertips reached the plastic, tapping rhythmically against them as you continued to gaze at her. “Are you okay?”
“...Do I look okay?”
Instead of saying the words with a harsh bite, Sara instead lowered her arm and face to the table, resting her chin against her flat forearm with her eyes drifting towards your tapping arms.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
She started tapping her own fingers in time with yours, matching their beat. The action made you sigh before you looked at her sadly.
“...No, you do not look okay.”
“...”
Sara didn’t say anything. She instead kept her focus on the tapping beat between your and her fingers.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
“Is there not anything that the doctors can give you? A pill, a sedative, or something?” You asked, genuine concern in your voice.
...Laughter broke out of Sara’s mouth before she could say or do anything else. She simply couldn’t control it. She turned her head into the table and continued to laugh into it for a good few minutes before finally turning her head back to face you, your eyes wide in horror as Sara continued to cackle over your suggestion.
“Sorry baby...but who in the hell is going to give someone like me a drug for my nerves? They are the reason I am here in the first place.”
Sara had to admit that Moon Dongeun really did play her into her tricky little web despite their best efforts to not be caught by the damn black widow. When she had said that she had come for revenge, she was not joking and Sara was paying her apparent price for the stupid things they had done to her when they were in high school. The thought of the woman immediately made Sara’s smile disappear, the action not going unnoticed by you as you moved your hand to instead press it fully against the plastic screen, your palm pressed against it.
“Sara, I’m worried about you.”
“Aww...that’s sweet.” Sara teased, cackling again as she pressed her cheek against her forearm to gaze at you horizontally, her own hand moving to press against the plastic screen to cover yours.
So close and yet so far.
“Sara I’m serious.”
“So am I.”
“I can’t stand seeing you like this.” You finally confessed, moving your hand from the screen to instead press your fingers into the speaker wholes that were provided in the screen. Sara didn’t hesitate to move her own hand until her fingertips were finally touching yours.
Her tremors stopped for a small moment. Her body responding to the small hint of warmth that you provided to her, the only kind of relief that she could find in this prison.
“...If you hate seeing me like this, why do you come?”
“Because I miss you.” You said immediately, your finger tips tightening over the edges of the plastic holes in the screen.
Sara gazed at you intensely, her previous lighthearted staring evaporated as she critically analyzed you from where you sat until finally softening her feature. Her tremors were subsided for the first time in weeks since she had been in here. For one moment, her mind finally felt at peace, and her body warmed at the single touch that your fingertips gave hers.
“I miss you too.”
“You will get out soon Sara, I know it.”
“...I hope so.”
Choi Hye-jeong
Tumblr media
The cut on her lip still stung when she spike, and her left eye was almost completely swollen shut, making it difficult for her to even see you as you sat in the visitors seat while she sat on the opposite end. You didn’t even try to mask the gasp that had left your lips the second you saw her enter the room, the sound of it already breaking what was left of her already broken heart, which has been stomped on, cut, and bruised during her whole situation her.
Hyejeong felt like she was going to die. Death was quite possibly the only way that she would be able to save herself from this hell.
That damn Moon Dongeun...she completely ruined her life. She should be married by now, she should be on her honeymoon, being lavished in money and luxury while she would eagerly be awaiting to return to the city to be able to spend the rest of her time with you. She had it perfectly planned in her head, it was almost achieved too, but then she found herself suddenly being handcuffed by the police and led to a police vehicle and taken to the station for intense police questioning.
Hyejeong literally thought that her whole word was grinding to the edge of the universe when the words ‘accessory to murder’ had left the detective’s lips, along with the name of Sohee, who has been dead for practically eighteen years. Hyejeong immediately denied everything, refusing to accept any responsibility that Yeonjin had created when she decided to end the life of the high school student. But apparently there was proof for Hyejeong’s participation in the murder...even though there was no possible way for her to be involved with it because she was not there.
It had then dawned on Hyejeong that she was being framed by none other Moon Dongeun, the promise of revenge by the woman immediately ringing true as Hyejeong found herself being transported to a cell for the night until she was eventually transported to the prison. By the time she was eventually given the opportunity to call you, she had already been shipped off to the prison had been exposed to the multiple initiations of the women's prison.
“Hyejeong...” You uttered her name in such an anguished voice, the sound of it sending a wave of hurt and humiliation over her body as she ducked her head to avoid looking at you. “W-Why...”
“Because the people here are sick.” Hyejeong answered, not bothering to look up at you as she did not want to see the full damage to her face so up close.
“Hyejeong...” She heard a tremor in your voice and she glanced up to see tears forming in your eyes, your bottom lip trembling as you stared at her with a heartbroken expression. You lifted your hand and pressed it against the screen, your palm face her, almost as if you were trying to reach out to her. “Hyejeong...I am so sorry.”
“Don’t look at me with those eyes.” Hyejeong snapped, not reacting to your reaching hand as she ducked her head even further, her own hands tightened into fists in her lap as humiliation and pain continued to wash over her despite her attempts to stop it. “I can’t stand it.”
“Hyejeong-”
“Stop pitying me.” Hyejeong ordered, lifting her head to glare at you but then quickly returning it to its previous position in order to continue hiding it from you. She heard you tap against the screen.
“I’m not pitying you.”
“Yes you are.”
“No I’m not Hyejeong. I’m heartbroken for you.”
“That isn’t any better.”
“Dammit Hyejeong, you don’t deserve this!”
Your raised voice made Hyejeong raise her head to gaze at you in surprise, not expecting you to raise your voice so suddenly. You were breathing heavily on your end, tears running down your cheeks with your bottom lip still trembling. With her eyes on you, you swallowed thickly before adjusting your hand on the plastic screen so it was not directly between the two of you. It was instead resting on the lower part of the screen where it met the table, your arm laying flat against its surface.
“Out of all five of you, you are not the one who deserves to be in bars. It is all four of the others who deserve to be here. Not you.”
Hyejeong knew that she did not deserve to be here. While she was a part of Yeonjin’s gang when they were in high school, she was not the one who had done all the stuff to Sohee, Dongeun and all the others. She was just watching. That is what she did best. She was not actually the one who had participated in all the stupid things they did when they were kids. She was not the one who killed someone, it was Yeonjin. So it was complete injustice to her to be locked up like some kind of animal, beaten down constantly while the rest of the others were outside living their lives.
None of them even bothered to see her, which clearly told her that she was no longer obligated to save them from the wrath of Dongeun anymore.
“...I hate them.” Hyejeong confessed, finally moving her hand to cover yours against the screen. Your expression grew dark as you nodded.
“I hate them too.”
“I hope Dongeun will bring hell on all four of them. In fact, she can take them to hell with her.”
“And I will get you out of here Hyejeong. If it is the last thing I’ll do, I will get you out of here.”
“...”
Hyejeong tensed her fingers as they pressed against yours against the screen, her own hand aching from her defensive attempts during her time here, her knuckles covered in bruises which you had not yet noticed.
“...Please take care of me.”
“I will Hyejeong, I will.” You promised, it being the only form of comfort that Hyejeong could take while she was trapped in this hellhole.
She hoped that Yeonjin and the others burned in hell for this...and from what she has learnt so far, Moon Dongeun was effective in her revenge so she could only imagine what she had in store for those other assholes. Guess she did have a small comfort to think of during her time here. Hopefully it was be as good in person as it is in her head. Guess she will have to wait to find out.

What's wrong with The Impossible Heir??
I'm torn between believing whether the writing straight up sucks ass or is intentionally done to make the viewer despise every character except Huiju.
Her stark contrast from the rest of the characters, having a normal moral compass, the way she clocks everybody (especially the shady FML) and her overall likable and sassy quality make me feel like the writers aren't oblivious to how they've handled these characters. or maybe it's just Heejin's charisma and the way she portrayed this role with so much life and emotions that makes the viewer attached to her and root for her which makes sense because if any other actress played Huiju she wouldn't be as likable and might have been passed off as a textbook kdrama mean girl who is snotty, entitled and rude. nevertheless, I think she will serve a bigger purpose in the future. we are given too much context to her character and emphasis on her as a shortcut to being the heir through marriage to ignore and it makes me feel like she will be the answer to the power struggle. the constant comments from Inju's wife about her and Taeho's possible union feel like foreshadowing.
now that TaeO will be going to jail for murder accusations, it will be the kickstart of his real revenge arch. he has tasted the pain of betrayal from the chairman, inha, and Hyewon, and he will completely lose it and step on everybody on the way to the top and his help will be Huiju. whether he reciprocates her feelings or not, he will be paranoid enough to use her. It will not be surprising because his character is already unlikeable and had been established as a weirdo after that kiss with Hyewon.
I think this will be the route writers take because for whatever reason they want the viewer to hate everyone and the ending will be very unsatisfying. In conclusion, yes the writing sucks ass. I'm trying hard to redeem it because I think Lee Jae Wook progressively gets hotter in each episode.
I just hope my babygirl Heejin gets enough recognition for her performance and be able to bag some leading roles in the future. she's so talented and has this air of main character and insane charisma.
