So this is actually inspired by a news story I read about this happening in Canada only last year, but basically a patient was misidentified, the wrong family was informed they were in the ICU, they passed away, and then the family got a call from their very not dead family member who was still alive

Gonna use it for “parting words of regret”, still working out the logistics of how it will all work, but Buck & Eddie are together, have a fight and Buck leaves, only for Eddie to get a call from the hospital a few hours later that Buck’s been brought in in critical condition

I am obsessed with the drama of it all and the image of Buck, completely unaware, walking back into the house only to find everyone there comforting Eddie to be like “hey guys, why are you all in my house?”

basically they suggested post-lightning strike, Buck has developed some new allergies (I’m thinking dust or mold) which the team encounter at a call. Buck & Eddie end up getting stuck somewhere in an enclosed space so the sniffling goes from bad to a full on asthma attack
