The origin of Ensign Samantha Wildman's name and profession has me teary-eyed.
She's named after a seven-year-old girl who died and her organs were donated. Her kidney went to the wife of Jimmy Diggs, a freelance writer who wrote "Elogium".
Diggs's one request after Trek bought his script was that a character be named after Samantha, and that her profession be Xenobiology. Because little Samantha's parents had told Diggs that she had loved animals.
Week 4 produced some pretty high scoring games. I’m a numbers guy and I sports bet, so I’m always paying attention to the numbers. I witnessed big plays made the wideouts this past weekend. Davonte Adams appears to have taking last week’s weak performance personal and had a productive outing that helped the Raiders to their first victory of the season. Adams was able to sneak by the century mark with 101 yards on a 9-catch afternoon. Throughout the first four games of the season Adams is below his normal production. Over the past 3 seasons Davonte has averaged 31 catches and 400 yards. He currently has 26 catches to go along with 290 yards on the season ranking him at #15. I expect an improvement over the next quarter of the season now that the Las Vegas Raiders won their first game on Sunday.
A name that will be called for decades to come Deebo Samuel was definitely bullying people all over the field Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams. On what I consider to be the highlight of the night was Deebo’s only touchdown where he ran an in-route that the Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick read perfectly. Only problem is Jimmy Garoppolo threw the ball high forcing Samuel to jump for the ball which caused the ball to sneak over the fingertips of the outstretched defender. Deebo showed great concentration and soon as he feet hit the turf he made four guys miss scampering his way to a 51-yard score. On the other side of the ball Cooper Kupp was phenomenal. Kupp set a new career high in catches with 14 that produced 122 yards. He was amazing against an extremely physical 49ers defense. Cooper continues to wow me because he’s the Rams only option right now. Their run game is non existent and the other wideouts are not getting the job done when their number has been called. Right now Kupp is doing what the best players do and that’s carry their team. Kupp does it all. He runs outs from outside and inside. He catches screen routes and runs angle routes from the backfield. There is nothing that he can’t do and I’m watching to see if he can repeat as the triple crown winner.
Tyreek Hill was up to his usual shenanigans catching 10 passes on 14 targets for 160 yards. I think my new nickname for Hill is Mr. Excitement because he surely is exciting to watch. Anytime he touches the ball I’m at the edge of my seat knowing there’s a possibility that Hill can take any play to the house. He caught a 61-yard pass from Teddy Bridgewater that was slightly under thrown. And watching him juggle the tipped pass was exciting to witness. I love the way Justin Jefferson bounced back. He played a physical game against Saints corner Marcus Lattimore who seemed like he was mad at the world during Sunday’s match in London. Jefferson caught 10 balls for 147 yards and made some note worthy plays. He had a sweet toe tap on a deep out route from the slot. Then he ran a great over route including a stair case step that caused two defenders to collide leaving the young wideout wide ass open. And he finished Lattimore off with a speed release and blow by for a 41-yard go route reception. These young wideouts are a pleasure to watch.
A.J. Brown had a decent day at the office. Brown caught 5 balls for 95 yards in a game hampered by a ridiculous amount of rain. Luckily his fourth down drop late in the game didn’t cost his team a victory and I’m certain the sure handed Brown will make that play next time he’s giving an opportunity to seal the game for his team. Stefon Diggs performance was nothing spectacular. Diggs had 6 targets catching 4 of them for 62 yards. He did have an eye popping catch on a well thrown Josh Allen ball toward the sideline that caused him to stretch out for the reception. I’m waiting for Ja’Marr Chase to chase his greatness. He only got six targets against the Dolphins catching 4 passes for 81 yards. Yes, his counter part Tee Higgins is making plays but its not like Chase is being double-teamed. Maybe the pressures and sacks on Quarterback Joe Burrow is causing less balls toward Chase. And I don’t really care about the reason, I just wanna see the kid make plays.
I’m glad Mike Evans was back on the field to help Tom Brady. He took a few big hits on his first few catches. He scored twice having 8 catches for 103 yards. His second touchdown was a one-hand catch in the corner of the end zone. As Brady finds his groove now that his weapons are healthy (Chris Godwin, Julio Jones) I expect this offense to get back to their high scoring ways. I haven’t decided on a wideout of the week this week but Ill be sure to mention it in my next post. Also I need a little more time to make my top-10 list. I’m thinking about making it a top-3 list. Until next week, Wideouts Let’s Go.
trolls 3 review: cute movie. cried a little bit at the end. the production team definitely listens to taz balance. favorite part was daveed diggs as the thicc jimmy buffett dilf troll who FUCKS
Oh boy! A very loaded question, nonnie, since all of us here on the admin team love the NFL.
We would really love guys like Jalen Hurts, Tee Higgins, TJ Watt, Saquan Barkley, Jimmy Garapolo, James Conner, Dak Prescott, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Stefon Diggs, Breece Hall, Tyler Boyd, Sam Hubbard, Jessie Bates, Logan Wilson, Mecole Hardman, Christian Mccaffrey, AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, and Jason Kelce!
But of course, anyone that you bring would be super loved down, especially by the NFL players here!

hey, what are your most wanted poc actors? :)) male preferred!
amazing:
Anthony Mackie, Steven Yeun, Rahul Kohli, Shemar Moore, Daniel Henney, Idris Elba, Naveen Andrews, Michael Ealy, Winston Duke, Morris Chestnut, Boris Kodjoe, Taye Diggs, Larenz Tate, Michael B. Jordan, Charles Michael Davis, Daniel Dae Kim, John Cho, Adam Rodriguez, Adan Canto, Amaury Nolasco, Benjamin Bratt, Colman Domingo, Jimmy Smits, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Laz Alonso, Michael Pena, Octavio Pisano, Yancey Arias
Quite the list - I couldn't help myself. But any of these lovely actors.
The Rrrrraiders. Jimmy G is now in as Derek Carr was booted out. Will Jimmy G do what he usually do? Westcoast offense methodical plodding, safe play slant throws and slightly above average game manager? Get him on your bench as a back up QB just for the pure fact he has a top pure WR Davante Adam's. Adam's will have to see how he is schemed now with Jimmy Gs skill set. No other WRs will see enough volume to garner fantasy relevance. Jacobs however is a play now that he signed. Z. WHITE is the handcuff (injuries yknow). Special teams have never been well and the defense (aside Maxx Crosby as an IDP) is bad. The good thing with that is you can decider your start sits of your roster against them on weeks they are played against.
Houston Texans
Aside from Pierce (RB) and special team darling kicker Fairbairn, no other Texans should be in your starting slot - unless your in a deep league. Sure Robert Woods and Nico Collins could fill in on bye weeks. The rookie QB will have his woes. In the meantime keep an eye on Schultz as rookie QBs love the TE as a security blanket. The Texans defense is the most intriguing. They have low key been stout against the pass. Shouldn't be too surprising as the former 49ers defensive coordinator now turned head coach is making his mark.
Arizona Cardinals
Kyler ...when will he return? Until then, the Hollywood Browns and Zach Ertz of the world will take a hit in ranking from their usual upside. Connor is the lone sure play based on his role in the run game and passing volume. Are the cards tanking? QB coach drama? This team is in nowhere land.
Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen and company don't seem quite right. With thier obvious physical skill traits and team build, they can get by most games. But thier failure to capitalize on a emotionally charged Jets team shows some concerning signs. Ever since Daboll left to coach the Giants, Allen hasn't had the honing of his skills. It shows in the perplexing passing choices that end up in unusually high interception counts which hurts his final point box score at end of games. He is an elite QB but decisions like forcing the ball is taking points off the board. All this can be avoided. Diggs is a sure bet as always but I don't know if low key there is some schism on that team. It's Diggs or bust as Gabe is a non factor. The rookie TE is the story. James Cook now has Singletary out the way. This pass happy offense may not have Cook in best of fantasy pools but it's a clear path to targets. The defense will start hot but let's hope they sustain through the long season. Tyler Bass is a sure bet at Kicker given thier propensity to score.
New Orleans Saints
Derek Carr is there and head coach Payton is out. That match up would have been ideal but Carmichael who is the long standing offensive coordinator is now heading up the team. Taysom Hill will be a factor at QB or RB or be more of a WR/TE role player. Week 1 didn't reveal much regarding him. Shaheed has been the exciting reach play as a boom or bust. Chart topping speed makes him a big play monster. Thomas will either be a key player or an after thought. He's still there. A mish-mash of TE and RB makes things confusing. Sure Kamara after his 3 game suspension should be a thing but he is getting older with tread on the tires. Nonetheless his passing profile lends him to be a starting role. Jamal Williams has the goal line potential but what he did with the lions is gonna be hard to reproduce. They do have a rookie QB that's shown some promise. Just dunno how it melds together with Carr at the helm. Thier defense still has Cam Jordan and company which may make the Saint the team to beat in the division. Did you know Jimmy Graham is still playing on this team 😆
Tennessee Titans
The Titans are struggling to keep pace in the playoff contender category. The addition of Hopkins seems great on paper but with only one true viable WR option, Tannehill will have to force throws in windows against double coverage to feed Dhop. T. BURKS is a prospect at best at this point. The teams identity is still King Henry first. Only problem is the O-line is not as stout as it once was. The defense is competitive but not sure how they translate fantasy wise. Thier coach Vabrel will have them in games. It's just a gumbo of TE and RB heavy game flow with a dash of Dhop. None of it showing signs of being ideal week to week.
Carolina Panthers
The Panthers receivers didn't even reach 15 fantasy points as a whole (in regular scoring). The rookie QB has a late injury designation. Theilein and Chark are the starting WRs. Is Chubba Hubbard that much of a factor? There's just too many questions with a team clearly in rebuild. Perhaps Miles Sanders signing will have some attraction as a flex play or RB2 slots in fantasy team rosters. Expect and up and down (mostly down) year.
Indy Colts
Colts Jim Irsay has supplanted his flag in the Anthony Richardson bandwagon. He has obvious physical traits and is a work in progress. That's what he is banking on. He'll be viable until Defenses get Tape and come up with more complex schemes against the rookie. Even still, his size and speed can be the ace in the hole. You either in or out. Pittman scored but it will be a slow return of profits for him. The #2 WR is a down field play at best. Dunno the TE room rollout and Blankenship has been shipped off. The defense should hold some appeal in this division depending on when they aren't playing the Jags. They have a QB whisperer on the sideline...they may show out quicker than fans think.
Chicago Bears
Have a franchise QB on the team. Defensive minded head coach. Not a good combo. Until a true elite offensive coordinator is signed, Justin Fields will never develop correctly to reach his glass ceiling. It's more of them asking him to make plays on the fly. Regardless of his elite talent, if its not mastered, he's just winging it. That's not a winning formula for the team nor the fantasy results. Kmet is a crutch TE to use and Mooney has been regulated to number 2 with DJ Moores arrival. The defense lost key players so you know how that goes. At the end, Moore & Fields were drafted high and expected to produce as such. Without cohesive changes, expect a mix bag for most of the season. Herbert...
LA Chargers
I wanna say San Diego so bad lol. Herbert. With Kellen Moore coming from Cowboys to offense coordinate, many are expecting this team to take another leap (specifically in offense). The defense is the highest paid In the entire NFL. Derwin James and company have Bosa signed to a big deal now and must show results. Chargers are a franchise notorious for not wanting to shell out money for players (multimillionaire as opposed to thier billionaire counterparts). Chargers got scored on bad in week 1 from Tua/Tyreek and Co. Again, offenses are slow to gel and get timing. Defenses typically in recent years have the jump. Allnthat is to say Chargers D better ramp things up quickly. Herbert made the playoffs finally so naturally they want to advance further in a loaded AFC conference. The health of Mike Williams and Kennan is key. Josh Palmer is still the trusted number 3 WR but the drafted Q. Johnson is the longterm bench sit that fantasy managers are hoping will come to fruition at the most critical time of the season vying for the playoffs. Everett should have his role pretty much enact given Kellen Moore history of scheming up Dak to Schultz plays in Dallas. Hopefully the kicking woes are behind them.
[ad_1] Getty Tom Brady's iconic playing career ended with a playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys in January. Less than eight months later, Brady was in Dallas as a Las Vegas Raiders minority owner. The seven-time Super Bowl champion enjoyed a pregame stroll on the field that included exchanges with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott and Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs. Ever the competitor, Brady also had a pregame message for Jimmy Garoppolo and the rest of the Raiders' quarterbacks. It appears that Brady is settling into his post-playing life. He would surely enjoy it more if the Raiders were able to end their 40-yard championship drought. The Raiders haven't won the Super Bowl since Marcus Allen won MVP honors during the silver and black's drubbing of Washington in Super Bowl XVIII. Brady had a small hand in the Raiders' title drought; his Patriots beat the Raiders in the 2001 divisional round in a game that is remembered as the infamous "Tuck Rule" game. The Raiders took a step in the right direction earlier in the day when they came to terms with running back Josh Jacobs on a 1-year, $12 million deal. Along with Jacobs, the Raiders' roster has several notable players that includes Garoppolo, Jacobs, Davante Adams, Maxx Crosby, Chandler Jones and Marcus Peters.
