reasoning: come on. come on. you look at me and you tell me that you DON’T like the idea of 80s-90s winona ryder playing a horror villain. you look at me and LIE to my FACE and tell that it wouldn’t be the coolest shit.

also she and veronica are kinda alike with their “snarky weird girl turns into snarky popular girl” arcs, except susan’s more awkward than snarky and also takes it a step further and turns into “genuinely mean scary girl”.

plus, y’know. the shitty murderous bf thing.

(but where veronica is tricked into killing three ppl by her shitty bf before backing out and trying to keep jd from killing anyone else, susan psychologically terrorizes her shitty bf for like two weeks before just straight up killing him lmao)

i’m pretty sure i’ve already mentioned this on here before but:

goodfellas (1990) ray liotta.

reasoning: it fits him thematically---not only in the “something something organized crime association” sense, but in the “bad decisions that seem great in the moment before coming back to bite you in the ass, if not just straight up end your life” sense and in the “henry’s default state slowly goes from confidence and feeling like he’s invincible to near-constant paranoia with a side of intense stress rage” sense.

all of which are Very relevant to jimmy’s backstory and just him as a person, really fits with his whole “masquerades as a slick & confident p.i. who has all the cards in order to cover up the fact that he’s actually Very Scared & Stressed All Of The Time” shtick

dana newman

ellen sandweiss in the evil dead (1981).

reasoning: look at her she’s fuckin stunning (respectfully), she has a similar hair color to what i imagine dana had before all the blood fucked it up, and something abt the way her face is all scratched up and bluish when she first gets possessed really gives me dana vibes.

also there’s this photo (seen below) which is Very Dana-esque to me.

lenore has Many Faces but her Actual face looks like the blonde nurse (lisa blount) in dead & buried (1981)*.

reasoning: even though she’s not in it long, something abt the nurse in dead & buried (1981) has always unsettled me. not in a “oh she looks fucked up” kinda way, but in a “she looks a little Too put-together and i don’t trust like that” kinda way. she simply does not pass the vibe check, but neither does lenore so it’s all good.

*well, for now, at least. i’ve been weirdly indecisive when it comes to what lenore looks like

So what friendships between the ghost would be? Since all the ghost are quite different (from time periods to just personal interest) I’m just kind curious since I’ve seen lots of different takes

The only time the ghosts are technically friends is when they’re all mad at the same person. But when they’ve been imprisoned together in a glass house for that long, they must have found ways to get along. That’s as close to friends/family as we need, right…?

All right, I’m just gonna say they’re friends. 😉

Horace and George are friends. They who kill Dennis together, stay together. 🖤 (I’m so sorry—)

Royce and Susan hang out sometimes, even though they find each other kind of annoying. They’re close in age, but their eras are pretty different. That’s the main challenge.

Also, Susan likes affectionately teasing Billy.

Dana hates everyone. Sorry. She might have put up with Jean talking to her, though. (Especially since Jean is no competition to her for looks, I guess.)

Margaret and Harold have each other—they don’t need anyone else. (And frankly…the other ghosts are a little scared to get vomit on them.)

While everyone else is out there committing violent acts, Billy and Jimmy tend to get left together. They might awkwardly play a game. They might talk, or they might not. When Jean was there, she could keep a conversation going between all three of them.

Billy really looks up to Royce though, not gonna lie…

Jean was wary of most of the ghosts, but she’d try to get along with the less intimidating ones. She felt a certain pang in her heart for Billy, who reminded her of Bobby. Billy could sense her pity, so didn’t like talking to her very much.

Isabella prefers to keep to herself, as everyone is significantly younger than her and she can’t relate.

Ryan could go from severely antisocial to bothering just about anyone. He fights most often with Horace, but rumour has it he enjoys it.

so carlito’s way and the goodfellas were released around the same time so in my silly head (bc in reality carlito’s way takes place in 1975 but WHATEVER) carlito brigante and jimmy conway walked the streets of nyc the very same year SO THEY MUST HAVE MET AT SOME POINT

one night carlito is at the club, controlling the situation and shit when they tell him some italians have entered the place which is odd bc it’s late and this isn’t brooklyn so they shouldn’t be there.

so carlito looks closer and that’s when he sees HIM

and yk he’s not supposed to, since italians and puertoricans don’t get along well (i mean for the purpose of this they don’t, but i really hope they do okay) and sure he’s retired but he’s still loyal to his values, but god he does feel intrigued by that man!

casually, as if he hadn’t noticed him, carlito gets out of his office and goes sitting at the counter, the bartender immediately making him a drink (and carlito knows the stranger’s eyes are on him).

the man sits across carlito, lighting up a cigarette and looking right at him when blowing a white cloud of smoke.
