She had to be on the lookout for heart-thieves who would toy with her boy's affections and then break his heart and make him cry afterwards. Caleb wouldn't be looking out for himself because he was so very smart about so many things and so very dumb about feelings.

Milo is summoned from their work for a meal prepared by Ashton and Fresh Cut Grass. Regretfully, Milo is fairly certain that neither of them can cook. It's free food though, so they're willing to try.

If we get any sort of EXU/Crown Keeper content involving the current C3 story, I have three (probably unrealistic) hopes:

1. A tech-support-sequel call between Opal & Lolth that basically boils down to Lolth being like “ok, no big deal. We can deal with this. It’s just… wait, did you say Predathos?!” & panicking before giving some actual advice.

3. Jourreal, another servant of Lolth, possibly being asked to engage Otohan. Two bad bitches duking it out.

3. Zerxus being deployed. (Since both he & Jourreal are connected to Asmodeus, this isn’t too much of a stretch.)

omg i would love it if the biggest allies in the battle against predathos ended up being lolth and asmodeus. i definitely think the crownkeepers are going to get called in at some point, they're the closest ally group bell's hells has, and i want all three of these SO bad.

i'm absolutely obsessed with the fact the tal'dorei book included the fact that jourreal is looking for the circlet of barbed visions. i can really only imagine that whats been going on after exu is her, an ancient assassin and champion of lolth, hunting down the circlet while opal and dariax are just, entirely by accident and completely unknowingly, managing to avoid her at any given moment like some shit straight out of a cartoon.

There's so much excellent meta in the Tharizdun tag, and here I am just thinking about how it specifically targeted champions of the betrayer gods. Jourreal, Lolth's favored assassin, The Laughing Hand, Torog's fun little pet project, and Obann, a devil who by his blood is designed to despise all things demonic. I know that Tharizdun is the best candidate for bbeg, but a small part of me stans this petty king.

Thinking only of justice and restoring his family's honor after Essek's betrayal, Verin Thelyss finds something he never expected, an Essek he never expected. A mission for justice turns into a race against time and a family finds their world upended.

probably! realistically it would only be lolth sending a message since jourrael is technically lolth's assassin and was only granted immortality by asmodeus, but i'd assume she's being called on nonetheless

Okay obviously what ended up happening is way creepier and cinematic but imagine:

Weeks of build up for Jourreal the Inevitable End. The Caedogeist. The immortal intangible assassin born of a contract between Lolth and Asmodeus. Finally, it’s time for the big entrance.

And Matt utterly tanks the attack roll. Caduceus hears the screech of the dagger on his breastplate and turns around.

“Oops, sorry, never mind. Caedogeist out!”
