Jrwitober Day 11- Ghost

An AU where William and Ashe are ghost hunters and Dakota and Vyncent are ghosts.

Winters and Co have been unsuccessfully running for a good few months failing to get many clients as ghost hunters and sleeping in Ashe’s dads basement before they find The House. It’s old, dark, and derilict, only being sold for so cheap because it would cost more for the owners to tear it down. It reeks of mildew and old memories, with every floorboard feeling like it’s either covering a body or about to fall into itself.

It’s perfect.

They make their home as cosy as can be in their situation, and by week 2 it actually feels liveable (and they stop falling through said floorboards). There’s only one problem.

There’s something in the house.

It would feel like they actually found a ghost, but 1. Non of their equipment picked them up, and 2. If they’re real ghosts, they’re really shit at their job. Sure, you get the occasional door slam in no wind, or things falling off of crumbling shelves. Even after the lighting got put in, there was a slight flicker. But the house is old, there’s no pattern or reason to suggest anything other than just a normal case of an old house getting older, and a couple months in, with Ashe taking his qualifications to join his dad’s electrical company and William getting a new job with no ghostly perks, it feels almost time to give up.

Enter ghosts.

Dakotas been trying, really he has. But sometimes it feels like even vyncent does more to spoon the newcomers, and Vyncent does next to nothing on purpose. Either way, it’s been so long since Dakota saw anyone that at this point he just needed to try and connect with them, even if it doesn’t work.

Eventually they meet each other, bing bong bap friendship, but where’s the plot without some good old Dakota angst and Clueless VyncentTM.

Also ghost knife I don’t make the rules it just happens
