Have more of the trapped in an elevator fic that's casually nicknamed put them in the pressure cooker fic, it's looking like a how long can I make them circle around the fact that they are in love with each other and just think the other doesn't feel the same way and pulling back when things get too serious and that's literally called "it's gravity after all" because for once in my life, one of my fics has a title and that title it's not a song I added in the end just because a work needs a title. prev snippet (the pov in this is alternating and I'm making this thing where they are following each other's train of thought even if they don't know and ugh if I can make this look like it does in my head is gonna be SO GOOD also I'm googling so much stuff to give Buck random facts it's kinda funny)

“You had to resuscitate me?” Buck asks, tilting his head while studying his face and it takes too much effort not to recoil, to try not to show how it had affected him. Not that he's sure he manages. “Yeah,” he nods and Buck keeps looking at him while shifting around on the floor, pulling one of his knees up and resting his arm on top of it, hesitating for a bit before speaking. “Did you know that the number of people who got struck by lightning is that high because most statistics count being hit by the charge getting released from the first point of contact as getting struck too?” “Huh?” Eddie frowns because that wasn't what he thought Buck would say.  “One lightning can hit more than one person,” Buck shrugs, “statistically speaking, if you got thrown off the truck after the lightning hit, we both got struck by lightning that day, your turnout was just more efficient in insulating you from the charge than it was for me since I was the first point of contact, and you got hit by the side flash of the electricity leaving the metal,” he says as if it was just another thing he had gotten caught up researching and Eddie shakes his head once he realizes he's staring at him, trying to organize his thoughts long enough to say something. “Did you research every possible thing you could about lightning after you woke up?”

"Hey, no sleeping," Buck says, shaking him gently, and Eddie blinks, slowly looking around to find out they're alone again.  "Sorry," he mumbles, eyes finding Buck again, "on the bright side, I don't feel like I'm freezing from the inside out anymore."  "That's good."  "Yeah," Eddie yawns, and Buck's eyes widen with worry while looking at him.  Were his eyes always this blue?  "Okay, am I gonna have to be annoying to keep you awake?" He jokes, but his smile doesn't reach his eyes.  "You're never annoying, Buck," he says, blinking against the sleep that's now threatening to take over and something flashes on Buck's expression but it's gone before Eddie can figure it out. "Not what it seems like when you throw pillows at me in the bunk room," Buck jokes, poking his arm and he chuckles. "That's just to remind you that we're there to sleep." "A pillow to the face is supposed to get me to sleep?"  "One can hope," Eddie mumbles, shifting around trying to get comfortable without being too comfortable, before looking back at Buck, worry creeping up his spine, "you know I don't mind the talking, right? I feel bad falling asleep on you, so if you're talking I'm not going to sleep, hence the pillows," he says and Buck's expression circles through multiple complicated emotions before he nods.  "It's just harder falling asleep on the bunks sometimes," he shrugs and Eddie chuckles. "I know." "But I will have to annoy you into staying awake for now," Buck says, adjusting in his chair. "You're not annoying." "You know what I mean." "Still not annoying." "Not even this conversation?" "No." "You sure?" "Positive."

#Weekly TV Guide #What a balanced week :) Don't worry about next week yet don't even worry about it lol #Lots of silliness this week :D #Some kinda-sorta scratchy in that semi-finished/untoned way #Oh y'know what's funny? It's not gonna show up for a bit down the queue yet but lol #So anyone following me for a while - especially on VLH - knows that I doodle with my favourite .5 mechanical pencil #I've had it since I was in school and it Shows lol it is Old and Worn In #And then when I got my .3s that was all I used for like a year - I draw tiny and they feel Wonderful to draw with #But then I started to miss the richness of lines that my .5 can make so I switched back over #Well. You'll never guess what's happened again lol #I do still use my .3s in my alt notebook but I haven't been drawing much in my alt lately! Talking like one doodles a month! #And as is evident I am not a one and done doodle kind of person lol I like to make like fifteen in a given day #So I guess I've been missing it lol - it's so good for detailwork and soft shapes and shading! Feels so delicate <3 #My shapes have been feeling weird lately - general construction-wise style-wise y'know - and with my .3 it all just flows so nicely #I get so stubborn about Only Using The Correct Tool but like - I have multiple tools for a reason! Pfft #I'm having fun that's the important part haha I'll point some of them out when they post #Oddly enough it's actually kind of hard for even me to tell the difference by sight - it's much more a tactile feedback thing!
