Guardei esse post durante um bom tempo porque é sempre difícil falar de um personagem que nada tem a ver comigo. Ou tem pouquíssimo a ver.
Minha única razão de fazer um post sobre o Gohan é por causa da sua transformação chamada “Ultimate Gohan”, a qual eu gosto muito!
Acredito que minha única e grande razão para gostar tanto desse personagem é unicamente e exclusivamente por causa dessa transformação que admiro tanto. Aliás, jogar com o Ultimate Gohan em qualquer um dos jogos da franquia é sempre gratificante. Se é que esse estado pode ser chamado de transformação.
Ultimate Gohan é uma transformação alcançada por Son Gohan depois que o Ancião Kaiōshin desbloqueou seu potencial. Apesar de parecer estar em seu estado normal, Gohan, na verdade, está usando o poder do Super Saiyajin 2 sem o fardo que a última transformação coloca em seu corpo. Como resultado, Gohan é capaz de alcançar um poder além do Super Saiyan 2 e até mesmo do Super Saiyan 3, ficando empatado com o Super Saiyan Blue após treinamento constante.

A aura de Gohan também mantém sua tonalidade normal; em vez do ouro tradicional que se esperaria de um Super Saiyan, o estado Ultimate Gohan concede a Gohan uma aura branca pura - ocasionalmente quase transparente.

A grande vantagem é o fato dessa forma consumir pouquíssima energia ou nada de energia. Não sei ao certo se ela consome energia, mesmo que pouco, ou se não consome energia.
Algo é certo: Isso dá uma grande vantagem a Gohan em combates prolongados ou muito arriscados.
Apesar de ter sido introduzido como um power-up, Gohan trata essa habilidade como uma transformação. Daizenshū 2 inicialmente afirmou que Gohan poderia se transformar em Super Saiyan enquanto utilizava o estado Ultimate Gohan, mas Daizenshū 3 e o anime Dragon Ball Super contradiziam isso.

Fato é que quanto mais o personagem treina para ficar poderoso, mais isso fica claro tanto em sua forma normal quanto na forma de Ultimate Gohan ou de Super Saiyajin. As transformações, alías, expandem mais ainda o poder do personagem. Para Gohan, seria muito mais vantajoso usar o Ultimate Gohan.
Tenho a leve impressão de que o estado “Ultimate Gohan” não possui a energia e a aceleração de um Super Saiyajin transformado. Mas isso pode ser compensado se ele conseguir ficar mais forte do que o Super Saiyajin em questão.

So I'm playing Dragon Ball Z Kakarot and I'm on the Buu Saga and...
Can someone explain to me why the heck Shin is so tall now? Not that I'm complaining but I've seen one unofficial source say he's 3'8 (probably based on how short he's portrayed in the anime. But, let's face it, Toriyama is not the best with heights. It's not a bash, I promise I love his art regardless). And another (also unofficial) says he's meant to be 5'1", which is pretty close to what I see here. He was very clearly taller than Krillin. If this is any indicator of his actual height I suppose I'm not opposed to this.
Anyway, y'all look at my good boy. I love Shin so much and I'm just glad I even get to see him in this game.

Official “Dragon Ball Super” Website Unveils New Characters, Voice Actors
We got some new info today on some of the new characters, so I figured I’d put it up here real quick. Click the names for a larger view.
Universe 9
Kaiōshin: Rou
Voice Actor: Yasunori Masutani
The Kaiōshin of Universe 9. Tends to make fun of the other universes a bit.
[While “rō” (老 meaning “old” or “elder”) has been used before in the series (in reference to the Elder Kaiōshin that had been locked away in the Z-Sword several generations prior), this new character’s name is written out in katakana (ロウ ro – u). Masutani had previously contributed the voices of the anthem singer at the Universe 6 vs. 7 tournament, and as noted via his Twitter account, the voice of the Universe 6 Kaiōshin (which was not credited during the respective episode).]

God of Destruction: Sidra
Voice Actor: Yasuhiro Mamiya
The God of Destruction of Universe 9. Is indecisive and hardly able to destroy anything.
[Sidra’s name (shi – do – ra) likely comes from the Spanish “sidra” referring to an alcoholic cider (fitting with previous God of Destruction puns on beer and champagne). Mamiya previously played a chef in the first episode of Dragon Ball Super.]
Universe 9
Fighter: Basil
Voice Actor: Tsuyoshi Koyama
Also known as “Kicker Basil”, he’s the youngest brother of Trio the Dangers. A fast and agile warrior who specializes in footwork.
[Basil’s name (ba – ji – ru) is taken directly from the word for “basil“. Koyama previously played one of the Barbarians during the “Future Trunks arc”.]
Universe 9
Fighter: Bergamo
Voice Actor: Eiji Takemoto
Also known as “Poison Bergamo”; the middle brother of Trio the Dangers. A warrior who freely manipulates poison. He always uses poison, and never wins fair-and-square.
[Likely a pun on “bergamot” (ベルガモット berugamotto in Japanese), with the character’s name leaving off the final hard-“t” sound. Takemoto took over the role of Kewi in Dragon Ball Kai following the passing of Kōji Totani, and had played Namu in the 2007 video game Sparking! METEOR following the passing of Kaneto Shiozawa.
The third and final member of the Trio of Dangers (トリオ･ザ･デンジャーズ Torio za Denjāzu) — Lavenda (ラベンダ Rabenda) — will be previewed in an upcoming issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump in Japan.]
Universe 11
Kaiōshin: Kai
Voice Actor: Taishi Murata
The Kaiōshin of Universe 11. A gentle Kaiōshin with a strong sense of justice who values life. (Personal Note: Hello, death flag.)
[The name “Kai” is self-explanatory (written here for the new character in katakana as カイ ka – i), likely coming from the 界 (kai) in “Kaiōshin” meaning “world”.]

Tetsuo Gotō passes away aged 68
It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that anime voice actor Tetsuo Gotō has passed away after battling esophageal cancer.
His most recent works included Universe 10’s Kaiōshin Gowasu in the Dragon Ball Super television series, Horikawa Kou in Princess Principal, Bizeff in Hunter × Hunter and Gangi Kozō in Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan.

Here’s my pixel art series for the “Z” portion of the franchise, or chapter 195-519 of the manga. The colouring is mainly based on the anime, and includes the anime-exclusive Gregory, but new characters from discrete filler arcs are also in the movies, so they will be featured in an upcoming post based on Z-era movies and spinoffs.
