During their trip through the Furthest ring Kanaya though it was a good time to finally tell Karkat how she feels about him. It was mostly through Rose's convincing that she should do it, but regardless it was done.

Being the somewhat of a perfectionist, Kanaya couldn't be satisfied with her letter no matter what. Even with Rose's help it was tough.

So eventually she gave up on the letter idea. But she left it in a bad place. It was almost like she did it on purpose so someone finds it. That of course wasn't the case... Totally.

And of course who else had to find it but Karkat? He thought it was pretty weird to pick letter out of any form to communicate. I mean pestering would take half the time and it also would get to the target quicker.

When he recognized the letter to be from Kanaya though he understood why she would do that. So without asking himself any more useless questions he decided to read it.

Dear Karkat

Lately I've Noticed Something About Myself. Of Course It Also Concerns You, Hence The Letter's Existence. I Wish To Become Your Moiral, I'd Say We're Close And My Bond With You Is Unlike Any Other. I Care For You And I Believe You Aren't Indifferent Towards Me Too. Although We Didn't Get To Spend Too Much Time Together Recently, I Still Value My Relationship With You A Lot. Solkat: 300k+ (Two fics in particular shot this number up absurdly around June and July, holy shit.) Nepkat: 43,705 (LESS THAN ERIDAN!!?!?!?) Kankat: 39,471 (One fic is like %60 of this count) Karezi: 39,465 Vriskat: ~8000 Erikar: 48,454 Fefkat: 2853 (Criminal!) Davekat: I gave up. Davekat hit 605,409 in december ALONE.
