He waited a few hours before getting ready and heading to the school.

The game starts in thirty minutes so they should be-

Steve grinned as he watched the back of Dustin move into the drama room.

Perfect.

He waited a minute, listening into their conversation before deciding that he didn't need to wait for them to stop because if they stopped that meant they were starting.

He slammed open the clubs door, making a couple people in the room jump.

“Steve! What are you doing here?" Eddie asked from his place on the throne. "DnDs over, pack up your shit.” He stated, leaving no room for argument.

Well, apparently a little room.

“What!! Why?! Last campaign of the semester, Mike leaves for Cali tomorrow!"

Steve furrowed his brows, and put his hands on his hips, Gareth, Grant, and Jeff weren't arguing, they knew he was serious, good.

“It can wait till he gets back, why would you even plan this a day before he leaves?”

“Why do we need to pack our shit?!”

Steve pinched his nose, "We're going to Luca’s basketball game.”

“What?!?”

“That traitor-"

“Stevie, darling, you can't be-”

“Why?!”

“You two know each other-”

Steve grimaced, a migraine starting at the fore-front of his mind.

“Please shut up, Christ.”

Eddie winced and immediately shushed everyone.

“We're going to this game, because even if Lucas doesn't get to play, we still gotta support him. Dustin, Mike, you guys have only gone to one of his games, his first one.”

He turned the other group, "Grant, Gareth, Jeff, fuck Eddie. None of you have gone to a game, I know it's not your usual shit but you gotta come. Hell, Erica, you're his sister, I mean, you’ve done an amazing job at showing up at the rest, so I can’t really complain about you.”

Dustin winced, “ Sorry Steve, but why does this matter so much to you? It's not the end of the world.”

Steve rubbed his arm, “ He needs someone to be there for him, even if he doesn't win. You can just do the damn campaign at Eddie's when Mike comes back.”

Mike, in question, scoffs, “And since when do you make the rules.”

Steve ignores him, reaching forward and grabbing Eddie's arm, and Erica’s shoulder. "Suit yourselves, but kinda hard to play DnD without the Dungeon Master, and Eddie and Erica don't have a choice.”

They make their way to the gym, a reluctant group of Hellfire in tow, and sit across the top of the bleachers. Steve waves at Robin from where he sits and then turns to Hellfire. “ Thank you guys for being reasonable."

Gareth scrunches his nose, “You cannot just keep stealing Eddie randomly.” Steve purses his lips, and leans into the man in question.

"Not stealing if he's okay with it, right Eds?” Eddie looked between the two, “ I'm sensing I should say yes?"

Steve grinned and patted his cheek. “Good boy."

Dustin turned to them, "Was Eddie the date you were talking about earlier? You tell seem awfully friendly."

Eddie flushed, and let's out an awkward laugh. " Steve wishes he could date me."

#Sailor Moon #descriptions in alt text #the visual design of the first season really was something #in my heart I feel like it's not Sailor Moon yet bc it was still finding its feet but that also allowed it to be more experimental #I don't think it's better or worse because while I do enjoy the novelty of earlier episodes #they also don't feel like Sailor Moon episodes. A lot of them feel like another show with SM characters randomly in them #which is not a good thing necessarily but they're so interesting it's also not a bad thing. It's just a thing #which you don't really see as often with current anime #you can just really see how they were kind of taking a gamble with Sailor Moon and testing the waters to see what angles would do well #I think it started to understand its actual target audience at around the Rainbow Crystals arc and shifted focus there #which is also when Jupes arrived so the team dynamic really started to take hold & the true appeal of it as a Magical Girl codifier emerged #ANYWAY it was just interesting to note that while Sailor Moon could consistently achieve moodiness and tension visually #the WAYS they achieved that were pretty different in the first half of classic compared to any other season #HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! like both rei and asuka are very obviously like. showing fantasised and misogynistic ideas of an idealised woman don’t work irl yeah. shinji's misogynistic view of them is wrong. but that’s not because rei and asuka are bad people it’s because like. “fourteen year old who's flirty and seductive” and “fourteen year old who's a quiet obedient object” are major signs of abuse and trauma and anyone actually acting in those ways at that age clearly isn’t normal. asuka is desperate for attention in any way she can get it, even unhealthy and dangerous ways. rei is at the very least I has a weird pseudo-incestous enmeshment filled abusive relationship with her father, even if she's not actively being sexually abused. asuka is seeking support, rei is a grooming victim. these are not things that are flaws in their character the entire point of subverting the expectations is to show how those expectations are unhealthy to rei and asuka like. god.

Since OdyPen is "likeminded" and think, act, and are alike, I sometimes think it'd be funny SIMPLY AS A CONCEPT that that's why they fell for each other so hard.

As if being so much alike and their love and devotion is some weird "I am the fucking best" as "no one could compare" which becomes another way of "self-love".

The "Bloo is basically Cartman" crowd get really annoying, but honestly the "Bloo did nothing wrong it's everyone else's fault" crowd are just as annoying. Guys he's just a goofy little asshole who's fun to watch (most of the time) but sometimes needs to be thrown against a wall. That's really about it. He's a jerk but he's not this ultimate irredeemable character ("I Only Have Surprise For You" aside. We don't talk about that), and he's got his own problems (considering Mac's home life, Bloo was also there for a lot of it) but it also doesn't justify him being a jerk. He's just a funny asshole character that we can laugh at. That's really it.

Actually the funniest example of Megatron apologism (neutral) I've seen is when people call it biased and rigged for Optimus to be the judge for Megatron's trial, but have nothing to say about the fact that Optimus let Megatron on the Lost Light AS CO-CAPTAIN which is ALSO incredibly rigged and biased and no one wanted it and Optimus barely had the authority to even do that.

It just seems like a case where people will always take the angle/interpretation that favors Megatron as a victim of Autobot eeeevillll, so they harp on how unfair it was for Megatron to be put on trial, but completely skirt over exactly how and why Megatron even got to serve parole/not rot in prison in the first place. I guess because it would disrupt the ever-present fan wank about how actually Megatron is being victimized for being put on trial and those Autobots are "just as bad" (lmao).

#the wretched gremlin strikes again #like i went on the group outing for the mental health centre club house yesterday and i had group therapy today #and i go to events at the cinema and like the guys at the cinema know me by name #and the people at the pharmacy know me and always ask how i'm doing when i'm in there even when i'm not getting my prescriptions #and like i used to have pretty bad social anxiety and i've noticed since i was put on the zoloft my social anxiety is basically like gone #and like i talk to my neighbours and stuff when i'm out with my dad and the dog #it's kind of wild just how much better i'm doing now compared to like last year #also like i'm being given access to like resources #like the mental health centre club house can help me access housing support and like job support and other supports #like learning how to cook and other programs like the social things and the exercise program and music therapy and mindfulness programs!! #and like i actually have a case manager and psychiatrist #and i have regular appointments and i go to group therapy now too!!! #lots of people are like living in a small town sucks so bad #and like yeah there isn't too much to do here but i'm actually doing a lot better in a smaller town than i did in the city #in the city like i was not given any kind of resources or support because there's so many people who also need it #and there's only so many resources available and often times i'm not considered someone who should get resources #because there were people who were worse off than me and considered people who needed it more than i did #idk it's just nice that i'm actually getting help instead of falling through the cracks like i normally would #and it's nice to be doing better
