Happy Belated Earth Day! 🌎 🌱🌳
DO NOT REPOST WITHOUT PERMISSION
Here is Mae & Noa from Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, recreating the Tarzan & Jane scene! 😂❤️😍
This is my first time drawing Mae, and either my third or fourth time drawing Noa. This is possibly one of the hardest pieces I've worked on, so far.
The polls are in, I will be posting fan art from time to time! I work with traditional art, preferably mixed media. I would like to do digital art as soon as I have a proper laptop or tablet. I was very hesitant about sharing my art on this site. I am still learning and practicing how to do shading and lighting, especially with colored pencils.

2024 - The Year of the Tyrannical Monke Monarch
If I had a nickel every time I get to watch a movie with a dictatorial ape with tyrannical ambitions in the same year, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Seriously though, this is a hilarious coincidence and I love it. One is extra large and seems to rule through fear. One is man-sized and seems to rule through personal charisma.
It's going to be an interesting look on how to write two different versions of, essentially, the same archetype.

So from what I could gather from the trailer (and IMDB), it seems that we're multiple generations away from Ceaser and Cornelius and all the rest of the OG apes that we knew. We're following new apes, new factions, new political stife within the world of apes. Humans have become more savage and huntable for either slaves or playthings. The apes have formed kingdoms. It also seems like the apes, since the death of Ceaser, have sort of proselytized him, kinda like how the OG films did.
But what really caught my eye is the symbol that one of the newer apes wears.
It's Ceaser's window. It's the window from his attic bedroom. The one he used to look out of when he was younger, before the fall of civilization.
They turned his window into a religious symbol.
