you looked down at the heels on your feet before looking back up at your best friend’s handsome face. god, he was so beautiful.

“i’ll carry you,” he laughed, bending down, “get on my back.”

your face flushed red and you thanked the night sky for concealing it as you climbed onto his back, allowing him to take you down the road and through the bushes.

you snuggling into his neck, haruto’s heart racing as he turned his head to face you.

“sorry,” you smiled sheepishly, “you’re warm.”

haruto chuckled, finally putting you down by the river side, “no matter how good your boobs look, you really should bring a coat.”

you rolled your eyes, “whatever, lets get high so i can forget about it.”

haruto shook his head, getting joints out his bag, “careful.”

“ruto, i’ve smoked weed before,” you scoffed.

haruto hummed, “i know. i’m just saying.”

you smiled at his concern, watching as he lit his own up before lighting up yours as well.

you sat on the log, your best friend sitting beside you as the two of you watched the river.

“you can lean on me,” haruto said, watching as you took a drag, “if you’re cold.”

a couple replies came back, but haruto payed them no mind as a girl’s laugh rang through the apartment.

“is y/n here?” he asked, taking his shoes off and walking in.

yedam nodded, “she’s in the living room.”

haruto thanked yedam quietly, walking to the living room. you had your legs over doyoung’s lap, laughing loudly at, what haruto could only assume, something doyoung said. it made his heart hurt.

“ah, ruto!” you exclaimed, “doyoung was just—”

“i’m kinda tired,” haruto sighed, all his energy knocked out of him from seeing you with his friend, having no interest to know what doyoung had been doing.

he knew he shouldn’t be jealous. you were close with all the members. but being just one year older than haruto, you and doyoung got on very well, maybe in a way that raised haruto’s blood pressure sometimes.

you furrowed your eyebrows, watching him go into his room before turning back to doyoung apologetically, “i should go check on him.”

doyoung smiled, nodding, “go on. it’s okay.”

you entered your boyfriend’s room slowly, pushing the door shut behind you.

“ruto?” you called gently, the boy laying in bed with his back to you, videos playing from his phone.

he huffed, but didn’t reply.

you chuckled, “haruto. stop it. you’re being childish.”

“sorry i can’t be more like doyoung,” he said, a pout on his lips, his eyebrows furrowed, showing his frustration.

“what?!” you exclaimed, “ruto what the fuck?! i would never want you to be more like doyoung! then i wouldn’t have the ruto i know and love as my boyfriend.”

“love?” haruto repeated.

you stuttered, looking around nervously, “well, you know, like, i guess, i just—”

“i love you too. i– seriously, i never want you to leave, y/n,” haruto sighed, “i guess i’m a bit insecure? seeing you with other guys hurts sometimes.”

you rolled your eyes, shoving his shoulder playfully, “it shouldn’t. i’m yours and only yours.”

haruto nodded, smiling as he stood up and came to kiss you, “i’m sorry. thank you for being mine.”

“well... what if we just both move out? me out of my parent’s house, you out of your dorm...” you said, trailing off as you tried to look for your boyfriend’s reaction, “and if we both moved out at the same time it would just make sense to move in together... right?”

jacob smiled, nodding slowly, “if you do it, i’ll do it.”

you smiled, leaning forward and kissing your boyfriend, his hand moving to the back of your head.
