8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

okay, so. as a marvel comics reader, there are SO many things that mcu fans who've never touched a comic in their life scream about as being objective fact that's just pure misinformation, so it's really hard to choose one. however, there is one in particular that i have in mind.

people who ship steve and bucky tend to have this wild idea that mcu bucky is an adaptation of a character named arnie roth, who appeared for like five issues in the 80s as steve's childhood best friend who was gay. the stucky fandom have themselves crazy that mcu bucky is TOTALLY arnie roth.

guys, i'm here to tell you that bucky in the ultimates universe was a childhood best friend of steve's, and that mcu bucky is based on ultimates, just like the majority of the mcu. (yeah, like, they chose the shitty universe for a lot of their shitty adaptation, so it makes sense, but.) i can guarantee you that kevin feige has never once thought of arnie roth in his life. he'd actually have to pick up a comic for that.

Fire Made Flesh, Colors in the Night Sky, Millenia, second son, not born but raised

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to! Sometimes I take a while, but I'm always ready to talk about my stories! And I love to hide loads of internal references and wordplay in what I write, so when people pick up on them, I get so excited! I also like to hear how people are thinking about characters and if anything's affected them!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Definitely Heart Strings gah. Fire Made Flesh may rival it when it's done tho, since it still is the story of the Dance.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

deserving has a pretty happy ending, I think- more satisfying than the canon one, if I do say so myself.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

A couple times, all on Helaemond fics. But that's what you get in such a big fandom, I'd never written for such a conflict heavy fandom before.

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Not really. I'm not really comfortable doing that.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I've not written a crossover yet- however, I do have a Pacific Rim HoTD fusion somewhere in drafts.

Honestly not sure. This relates to the next question, but I once got asked about a translation and then never heard back so I ended up wondering if it got stolen.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Hopefully, I got Glory and Gore translated into Russian! From the question above.

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

No- tbh I'm not sure I would be good at it. I'm open to trying, though, and I'm always willing to share ideas.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

I've never written for them, only a poem in high school, but Hector and Andromache from the Iliad. I've just read the Emily Wilson translation and...they hurt me but I've always loved them.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Probably Millennia. I had such plans for them, but TVD burned bright and fast as a fandom for me.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I love my writing voice, I think I change my style up a lot depending on the piece itself, but I always have to like the rhythm of it in my head before I'm good with it. I think I'm fairly good at worldbuilding too, though of course with that some things are weighed with more interest than others.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Probably increasing tension. I always wanna jump into the resolution and the confrontation! But then I'm like, noooo I gotta provide context and I have to work backwards. ugh.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Anyone who's read me probably knows I love to do it! Only conlangs though, with a natural language that's a little beyond me since there is an actual sense of what "feels right." But I love me some HV dialogue, it gives me such a cool

Right now it's a tie between dropping glasses just to hear them break and delicate in every way but one. They're not my epics but I think I just wrote some of my most beautiful language in them.

Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004) If I have one comfort movie it’s this one. Something about this movie always puts a smile on my face. 

Criminal (2004) Is it a good movie? Not really. But there is something oddly comforting about baby Diego Luna. 

Joulutarina (Wunder einer Winternacht) (2007) This Finnish Christmas movie is the best Christmas movie ever made and that’s a hill I’m gonna die on. I have to watch it every year to get into the holiday spirit. 

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) I once watched this movie 14 times in 7 days. This says a lot about my love for this movie and my ability to hyperfixate on something 😂

About Time (2013) I watched it for the first time in the cinema with my mum and the message of moving on from past mistakes and making every day count was very important to me during that time - still is. 

Titanic (1997) What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this movie. It’s a classic. 

Zootopia (2016) My favorite Disney movie by far  

(I’d like  to say Rogue One, but it emotionally destroys me every time I watch it, so it can’t really be considered a comfort movie sadly 😭)

i’m named after my grandma.

last week i think? i was watching a sad movie.

not as much as i used to.

i’m not really a sports person. i love to swim though.

most definitely their hair.

a really light brown. my mom says they’re hazel, but i don’t really see it.

would it be weird if i said neither? i just want a well written story with an ending that suits it.

umm, i can find almost anything on the internet. is that really a talent though… idk.

reading, writing, singing, painting, coding, graphic design, photography, yoga, traveling, watching movies, and playing video games. i also collect stuff like books, posters, maps, ticket stubs, etc. i’m also trying to get into decluttering, but yeah…

no, but i used to have a cat. it was killed by a coyote though. and that coyote was awful too… it killed everyone’s cats on my block.

REAL!! like Cassian's birth parents are basically OCs lmao so we can do what we want with them, and I have some very clear headcanons I'm not budging on. they're definitely the supportive and caring parents he would have deserved, and they definitely adore Jyn and she adores them back. like from the first second he brings her home and they see that sparkle in his eyes when he looks at her, they're like "yeah, she's family now." uhhhh in a kinder universe 😭
